Legend Special Edition 2013

Love this one. I own Montblanc Legend. Which can be overpowering and open up a bit harsh. This right here is ALOT smoother. Definitely smells like the original but with a fresh zest of lime and mint. I am glad I picked it up. Smell last for hours and sillage is great. Good all around fragrance.

What's the difference between the 2012 edition and this one?

Had the original...loved it...now bought this

I have a sample of this frag its fresh and minty in the openning. the drydown is sweet and spicy because the ginger,but the sillage is soft and close to skin. it is similar to special edition 2012 but fresher like cut grass. and I think this special edition is better than the original, and 2012 in performance

Legend Special Edition 2013 Montblanc is a nice average Summer freg ( especially lemon & mint ) with average longevity & silage ( all the basics for Summer time ).

Eh. It's okay. It smells nice but just another same smelling frag from designer brands who refuse to take any chances.

I find it odd that someone would write a review, like the one farther below, assuming that because most of the notes were the same that the 2 blends would smell identical, without actually smelling and comparing both before doing so... Guessing the balloons are from others that didn't either, because they smell NOTHING alike. At all. This one smells like a much fresher version of Legend Intense, with the spice toned way down and the apple/pineapple top replaced with a sweet, fresh, and slightly spicy mint/ginger note that is strong at first, then blends in with the scent as it dries down. Almost like a slightly earthy spearmint. I love it. Above average projection and longevity on my skin. The blue edition is much brighter, but softer. Solid citrus, mint, and lavender notes with some light woods in the background throughout it's lifespan. The ginger is still there, but it's dialed back behind the citrus. Dry down is similar to Legend Spirit, but with some fresh mint, a little more spice, and less woodiness. Like a very fancy laundry/sweet soapy tone. Seems a little more mature type of sweet than the black bottle special edition. Bottom line: both are very good in their own ways, but there's no possible way you wouldn't be able to tell them apart if you smelled them both, unless you just have zero sense of smell....

Practically identical notes to the 2012 with the exception of Oakmoss it seems.....I imagine there isn't much difference in smell...My guess is this will be a pointless buy if you already have 2012. Otherwise 2012 smells AWESOME, so I also imagine this one does too! :)

Very fresh opening. Ginger and mint make a great combination. Middle notes are very aromatic just like the original Legend. Quite long lasting generally 7 to 9 hours. Sillage is above average and i have been getting many compliments on this..not bad..

I love this scent either by itself or mixed with 2 parts this and 1/3 Fahrenheit!
