Legend Spirit

I havent bought any perfumes now for about a year. I realised I had fallen into a collector fever or addiction and was purchasing things because of the good old fomo and spending way beyond my means! So I have just been cycling through the 100 or so bottles I have and just enjoying them and switching off from watching or reading any reviews! That being said I had to post this review on here today 🤣 It’s funny where we all are on our fragrance journey, you can tell by reading peoples comments and I think a lot of new people or people just looking for a rotation of 5 or 6 bottles should definitely take some of the reviews with a pinch of salt. those of us that are further in our journey will say things like generic and boring but let’s face it....most of the male population are either wearing lynx (or axe for you in the us!) or they have the latest sauvage. So I was wearing this yesterday to work. I hadn’t reached for it for about 2 years. I will say I work in a factory, I’m of average looks, I’m in my 40’s and I’m slightly overweight. I had 3 different women tell me I smelled good wearing this. One of them said it was sexy hunky good, like she’d want to eat me 🤭. And even a couple of guys asked what it was and it smelled really great. I won’t go on about the notes or anything, it’s nice it’s sweet and it’s definitely a fizzy bubblegum type vibe. And I remember when I first got it being disappointed as it was just sweet and “generic” to me. I think it’s nice to challenge our noses and I do love playing with niche perfumes and experiencing the journey. But I think we sometimes forget the aim of perfume is just to smell good! 🤣 Sorry for the essay, I’d definitely say if you can get this cheap it’s well worth it! But regardless, everyone just enjoy your fragrance journeys....whatever you are wearing you will stand out from the majority who still mostly use deodorants!

A lovely, addictive scent. I like this way, way more than the OG Legend. Nothing wrong with being so close to A&F's Fierce, but I wore that during highschool and college so it's hard to wear Legend without feeling like a kid again (sometimes a good thing, sometimes not). Legend Spirit is better from the start simply by being more unique and more versatile. There is a overwhelming sense of freshness that comes across and lingers through the whole profile. This must be the "water notes" listed. I personally don't smell the citrus, but I do get something here that is sweet, a tiny bit fruity, but not overwhelmingly so. Maybe the lavender? Maybe the cardamom? Whatever it is, it helps this fresh, aquatic smell become something almost mouthwatering. And then it gets even better as it dries down and the musk starts to come out. This is one of those summer scents that can be sprayed in the early afternoon and be absolutely perfect, and stays perfect as the day transitions into evening and the scent matures on your skin. I personally don't get the performance issues others are complaining about. It's not a beast-mode fragrance, no, but I'm of the opinion that sometimes subtlety is the best strategy. With it being a EDT in mind, I spray 7-8 times (3-4 times on chest/back of neck, 2 times on each inner elbow) and I can easily pick it up as I move around 10 hours later. There have even been times where, a solid 12 hours later, I couldn't quite pick it up myself but my wife would comment about how good I smell when I walk by. For how much a 100ml bottle costs (at discounters, cough cough), this is an absolutely killer deal. A dumb grab n spray everyday warm weather fragrance that actually has some depth and interest and smells amazing? Yeah sign me up, I wish I found this gem years and years ago.

Montblanc Legend Spirit opens with a highly aromatic and noticeably vibrant burst. From the very first sprays, it creates a clean, fresh, and almost icy sensation that reminds me of cold water in motion. There is also a slightly soapy character, produced by a well-blended combination of lavender and citrus. The result feels masculine, fresh, confident, and carefree, while still maintaining a certain level of class and elegance. Unlike many clean fragrances that eventually start smelling like generic soap or laundry detergent, Legend Spirit still feels unmistakably like a proper fragrance. Even though it is soapy and extremely clean, it remains polished, pleasant, and distinctive enough to avoid feeling cheap or overly generic. When it comes to performance, I still have some doubts. Its initial projection is quite strong, and it remains noticeable during the first two hours. After that, it becomes more restrained and subtle, sitting much closer to the skin. Personally, it is one of my favorite fragrances for extremely hot weather and for wearing to the gym. Despite having strong projection in the opening, I do not find it intrusive at all. On the contrary, it feels very pleasant, refreshing, and energizing. In my experience, it requires approximately 8 to 12 sprays to achieve satisfying performance. With that amount, it maintains a strong initial presence and allows its fresh, clean character to be enjoyed more fully.

Montblanc ~ Legend Spirit 2016 EDT: This is a true Legend. High Quality. Lasts for 6-8 hours. The Opening have High Quality Fruity and Woody notes, with a hint of Ebony, which is very addictive to my nose 🤗 The Pink Pepper is more prominent when it's cold. The Middle notes are a good mix of Cardamom and different Dark and Light Woody notes, with Lavender in the background. The Drydown has many different Woody notes, both Dark and Light, and the Cardamom is still present. White Musk and Oakmoss go very well with the different Woody notes. On my skin this is far from Invictus. I would venture to say that it is closer to Issey Miyake ~ Nuit d’Issey 2014 EDT than Invictus. Not that I would compare Legend Spirit to Nuit d’Issey. It is hard to find anything reminiscent of Legend Spirit, it is quite unique. Legend Spirit is suited for older, Sophisticated, well-dressed Gentlemen. Legend Spirit is okay when it's cold, but it really shines in Spring and Fall 🤗 It's too strong when it's very hot IMO. I need a refill next year. Legend Spirit is part of my Signature scent that is worn a lot. It is the scent I get most compliments from. If this was made by a niche brand, it would be 4-5 times more expensive and have higher rating.

I love Mont Blanc Legend Spirit. To my nose it smells like CK One and Hugo Boss Unlimited had a very fresh, very attractive baby. Clean, bright, easy to wear — the kind of scent that makes you think, “Yep, this is a winner.” Unfortunately... the performance apparently called in sick that day. The longevity is horrid. I’m talking witness-protection-program levels of disappearing. You spray it on and 20 minutes later it’s like it packed a suitcase and moved to another country. If you want actual sillage, you basically have to douse yourself like you’re trying to put out a fire. Which raises an important question: Who approved this fragrance and thought, “Yes... people will enjoy applying this every 15 minutes”? Don’t get me wrong — I really do like the scent. But never pay full price for this thing. I grabbed mine for $32 at a discounter, which feels about right considering the amount you have to put on the get noticed. 😄

When i was a kid my family had a membership at a racquet club. Not the exclusive, high end club, but a nice athletic club. The men's locker room was off limits to any under 17, but 12 and up could go in with dad accompanying. The locker room had a guy who handed out the towels when washing your hands (real fluffy white towels!) and for the guys who showered he had a "secret ingredients" aftershave that he would allow the men to spray on. It was an awesome, clean athletic smell. Didn't last very long but I associate that smell with fresh from the shower cleanliness. It is a big memory from my childhood. Legend Spirit is the closest fragrance I have found to that secret aftershave spray. Smells like fresh from the shower at the club after a hard workout. And that's how i wear it now. 2-3 sprays after the shower at my work gym. Perfect freshie!

This fragrance really shows that you cannot blindly trust reviewers or the community because this is not what I'd expected at all. The "bubblegum" aspect that you often seen touted around this fragrance is vastly overstated, yes there is a little bit of sweetness and bubblegumminess but this is absolutely not some sweet gourmand or some childish scent. There's a deep, surprisingly spicy, masculinity to this one, the peppery and woody aspects of this fragrance are very underrated and comes through quite clearly. Very masculine, not at all a "teenager fragrance" in my opinion. This is definitely at its peak during spring, summer and fall, but the spicy and sweet aspects of this makes it even viable for colder months. But get the idea of tutti-frutti bubblegum out of your head because that is not at all what this fragrance is all about.

Released in 2016 but still one of the nicest smelling designer fragrances (decent longevity too). It doesn't smell cheap at all to me, I'm surprised by some of the negative comments. I finished my bottle last year but have yet to find something I like more in this type of fragrance, which is something of an all-rounder that still works well in warm weather. Just a great blend that is fresh yet somehow cosy or comforting, the sweetness never gets sticky. In the drydown there's an underlying scent of cleanliness with a soft touch of spice that makes it nothing outrageous yet still very compelling. Even though I find the trend of some brands to release several versions of the same scent (flankers of flankers) a tad boring and unimaginative, I would LOVE to see an EDP version of this one but only if the scent stays true to the EDT.

I usually leave long, detailed reviews, but there honestly isn’t much to say about this one. This is your classic shower-gel fresh fragrance. It opens bright, clean, and energetic before settling into an aquatic blend of grapefruit and lavender. As it dries down, a smooth sandalwood and musk base starts to emerge, giving it a bit more depth while still keeping that easygoing fresh vibe. It’s pretty much my go-to gym scent or something I’ll throw on when running quick errands. Nothing groundbreaking, but it smells great, performs exactly as expected, doesn’t last long, and offers excellent value for the price. Rating: 8/10

I just bought this so it can be my signature fragrance i got it for 60$ in morocco ( i know its like 40 bucks in the states ) the invictus platinum is a bit strong for summer and phantom is more of a winter scent ( those are the only 2 fragrances i own ) but this one is really good for hot weather mont blanc legend spirit is worth the hype i prefer it over hawas ice and every hawas invictus clone .. smells sweet but that masculine shower gel underneath is quite addictive .. performance is average but definitely get you noticed as people will get whiffs of it when sitting around you or you talking to them

Still the best Montblanc fragrance I have experienced, it's so just good and as @hubbabubba suggested with his comment, it's not just a sweet bubblegum scent for teenagers, it's isn't even very sweet, certainly not compared to what has been released in recent times. This is an addictive scent which to me has different layers and with various elements coming to the fore at different times, possibly reacting with different conditions. One of those feel-good fragrances that will always have a place in my heart. Close to perfection but I would still be interested in an EDP/parfum version 😉

I got complimented first day I ever wore this. Glad to know it projects well right off that bat. It's scent stays around for 3 to 4 hours. But I must say..I truly enjoy the smell of this. You know when you buy some new clothes or shoes and right when you open the box there is just this fresh scent. It's fresh, but also a bit of musk that just sits on you and I love it for that. If you can get it at a discount, it's perfect! I bought Explorer thinking that was the scent to have. But I still enjoy this much more. Comparing this to colognes under $60, I think this fragrance is perfect. 🥰

I wish I hadn't waited so long on this one. I had Legend back in the day. I have Legend Intense. I have Explorer. I guess I just felt like I had enough from this house... I was wrong. I'm a big fan of fresh & clean fragrances, I must have at least 25. This one has catapulted up to the top. It's fresh and clean but has a distinctive masculine edge to it. Very different than the old school Legends. Similar to Invictus Aqua for sure, which I have, but IMO better. A little more woody, a little more grown up. I do not get bubble gum sweet. That adjective is completely overused these days.

The first time I smelled this the first thing that came to my mind was a "Damn, this thing is common asf" and "This is the kinda smell that your cool uncle would wear". Mister, let me tell you I was wrong. I don't know if the perfume masturbated or whatever happens when air goes into the bottle or me that wasn't smelling correctly but, now smells AWESOME, a lot of fruits with sugarish water (in a fresh way, not gourmandish) with some sweaty skin odor (I think is the musk) in a clean way. Just buy it, it is a 9.4/10. Thank u Jeremy Fragrance for recommending this.

One of my favorite colognes from my s.o.'s collection. Fresh, clean, aquatic scent (my favorite for colognes.) If you like this scent profile, highly recommend this. You will get compliments. A few years ago my s.o. wore this to work, and several other guys were asking him what he was wearing. One guy even kept sticking his nose in my s.o.'s neck to inhale him and kept telling him "you smell so good bro, REAL good, what is that?!" 😂 I felt the same way, hence why I bought it for him after he finished his sample size 😅

my most complimented fragrance! women love this stuff on a well put together guy. it just smells clean, a little classy, and perfect for everyday. ive been wearing this for about 3 years now and it has never failed me, it also lasts a good 7 ish hours and people can still smell me after a day at school when i come home. i usually use around 3-4 sprays. its affordable as well but, the only downside i can think of is its inability to standout. sometimes though, you just want to smell good and thats that. have fun :p

I personally have had this cologne for around 2 years now. I am not super big into fragrances or know an absurd amount about the topic but I can say as one of my first cologne, it caught me by surprise. I really like this one and I believe I always will, it is very inoffensive and I have not gotten sick of it. It definitely has a very strong opening with a lot of fruity citrus smells, but dies down into a more neutral woody scent after around 20 minutes. I would recommend for an everyday clean cologne.

Off the rip u definitely get the fresh DNA that everyone loves. This is a great gym scent or a basic dumb reach everyday fragrance. Its not something that will make u stand out. But its definitely something that will make u smell good. The longevity and projection are not good by any means but I wouldn't call them bad in any way. The first time ı sprayed this I found great similarities between this and Invictus. The only different between them is that Invictus has more of that bubblegummy sweetness.

I have to say i prefer this to Invictus Aqua, this is a very pleasent Citrus Fragrance with a lovely musky drydown, its very fresh and clean and it smells extremely masculine. It has almost the same vibe like INVICTUS OG but this is less cloying not so much in your face. This scent is perfect after a shower your aplly this and smell for a very long time like a clean Man. Performance is very good i would say easily 6 - 8 Hours and on clothes even longer. Its perfect for summer days.

I’ve had this fragrance for a couple years now and it’s one of my most complimented fragrances in my collection. It’s such a clean, inoffensive, mass- appealing scent that everyone I know likes. Every woman I know loves how this smells and I’m sure women you like will love it too. Definitely more of a spring and summer fragrance, but it’s such an everyday driver and I still get great performance even in the colder months. Definitely a safe blind buy and a great scent.

This is just one of those fragrances where you can't really go wrong with it. You get the bright grapefruit 🍇🍎 with the lavender 🪻 and a soft, smooth musk 🤍 that smells like if a whole basket of white t-shirts 👕 just came out the dryer with a bit bit of pepper and woods 🌲around it. If I had to describe it a bubble gum sweetness envelops those notes as well. Amazing fragrance and for the price point is a very safe blind buy. Lasts a long time for an EDT too.

Legend spirit reminds me of big league bubble gum chew, and therefore my childhood best friend, and my seventh grade girlfriend. Just reminds me of happy times and innocence. I go nose blind to one of the compounds, and the rest of my family says it smells like wood+ light citrus with some sweetness. I only smell bubble gum, so i would recommend testing this. Wouldn't blind buy for that reason, but pricing is great if you like it.

So, this one is pretty straightforward. A clean, soapy scent. Quite masculine as well. It smells like soap, but brought to perfection. Straight out of the shower. I can see why some people hype this up: it's a simple scent profile, but very well done. I've gotten a good share of compliments at the gym and out on the street. It projects in a moderate way, so it's not overbearing. The price is also quite appealing. Huge W

Absolutely amazing. Smelt this from my dad and its become easily the best fragrance i own. everything about this perfume screams masculine. Im new to fragrances however I smell a lot of pineapple. Thats what it smells like to me, like im sitting on a beach while i have a pina colada in my hand. its smooth slightly synthetic and sweet. all and all one of the best fragrances ever created in my opinon

I’ll start off by saying the longevity and sillage on this fragrance is very moderate and considerably underperforming, but I can’t get enough of it. It smells like fresh bed sheets with a little bit of fresh spiciness. It’s addictive, easy to wear, and one of the best fragrances to wear for school. Overall I’d give the scent a 9/10, the performance a 6/10, the price a 10/10, and overall a 8.5/10.

A nice, fresh fragrance that doesn't do more than it needs to. On me it does not project or last too long, but the skin scent is quite pleasant. It may need more than just a few sprays to get something going, but what it does have, I like. Mix of woody, light fruit and spice. Some bits of the original Legend can be found. EDIT: 3 months later and I decided to buy a bottle. This really grew on me!

Although I'm typically not a fan of citrusy or synthetic scents, I really like this one. Is it simplistic? A bit, yes. But it’s executed so well that it becomes incredibly enjoyable. It’s highly versatile—though designed for warmer months, it doesn’t feel out of place in winter either. Its simplicity makes it widely appealing. I’ll definitely be reaching for this more often. Solid 8.5/10!

I personally really like this fragrance because its fresh but not anything over the top, and i love the citrus in here. It doesn't last to long but thats really not expected. THIS is the perfect gym fragrance if you need something cheap and GOOD. I'd still wear my greenley to the gym but I used to wear this every time before I had it. I even throw it back on sometimes.

I’ve had Legend Spirit in my collection since its release in 2016, and it remains my most complimented fragrance. Just yesterday, a girl stopped me on the street, saying, ‘Wow, you smell amazing! I really enjoyed walking behind you. What are you wearing?’ It’s incredibly versatile, works well across all seasons. Just overspray it!! It’s a huge compliment-getter

Very similar to Paco Rabanne Invictus Acqua which was discontinued and re-released with a different formulation. This cologne is one of the best releases from Montblanc. Very versatile. Non-offensive. Highly recommend as a blind buy first choice/entry level fragrance since it is also cheap with a great value for your buck.

Great daily freshie. Inoffensive and affordable. Citrusy, woody, fresh and semi-sweet, kinda like a laundry freshness. I've gotten a few compliments on this. The longetivity and projection are kinda mid. If you're looking for a good everyday freshie to wear to the gym, school, work, or otherwise, this is solid. 8/10

To me, this smells like a sour lemon candy with a slightly soapy undertone. Very good, very fresh. Perfect affordable reach for the summer. Lasts fairly long on my skin, too. Overall, I'd give this an 8.5/10, especially considering its price (Under $35 USD for a tester bottle).

A delightful freshie for school, the office, or even dates. Not every "date-night" scent needs to be sweet and vanilla. This fragrance is perfect for smelling super clean and fresh, as well as sophisticated, thanks to the woody notes and a pleasant, slightly musky note.

Wow this is some above ass trash stuff i got mine for 25$ at NAVARRO, solid 8/10, I would say this is as good as AXE (Dark Temptation) But the deepness of the chocolate feels almost flavorful in the air the contrast of vanilla helps the liveliness of youth set in.

Jeremy Fragrance described the scent profile perfectly. powdery deodorant smell that's fresh with a little sweet touch. great for gym/everyday wear. its not loud so i would recommend more than 6+ sprays for it to project and last for an hour or so.

This is good. Really good. For 40€ it’s excellent. This cologne pulls a lot of compliments. It’s fresh, citrusy and masculine. It’s suits everything, i think its a blind buy perfume. Maybe performance can be a little better but its enough. 8/10

Perfect dumb reach. Gym, office, grocery shopping, walk at the park. Anywhere and everywhere. This is just a pleasant inoffensive clean fragrance with some sweetness, mainly clean. Fresh out the shower. Must have in my collection

Its so addicting its so fresh i cant stop smelling it whenever i get whiffs of this, i just bust internally i tend to overspray since it only lasts 6hrs with moderate projection but it is 100ml for 30 usd...

Got this for $30 brand new. Smells great, a little too immature and high-school for me, but overall pretty banging. my girlfriend likes it because apparently Louis from 1D wore it according to tik tok.

This fragrance is an awesome cheap freshly that is mass appealing and has good longevity. It opens with a fresh grapefruit and pink pepper notes then closes with a bit of a metallic end.

This is the perfect school fragrance. One of the most mass-appealing scents you could buy. Might need to re-apply throughout the day however, as the performance is the only downside.

A little bit sweet, citrusy, fresh, aquatic, bubble gum scent, very nice. It still boggles my mind, how this is my most complimented fragrance. POWAH BABY RRAAAUGH

The first fragrance I’ve ever owned. It reminds me of freshman year of high school. Performance is nuclear on my skin. Versatile musk and bergamot bomb.

A smooth more grown up polished version of Invictus good for the office and the gym and casual wear this is one of the safest blind purchase fragrances

Bad performance, but it being so likable and easy to wear more than makes up for it. One of my favorite scents. Sweet, sporty, and fresh.

Explorer, Dylan Blue and Legend Spirit/Invictus DNA. Literally the only one frags I've gotten "You smell good!" compliments from.

What a great fragrance. The blend of notes is really nice and it comes across as very fresh and clean. I would rate it 8/10.
