Star Oud

I don't know why Carter below me went off. Relax, it's just scented water. Since I already have the rest of them from this line. I figured, might as well get this one too. Carter, I get It's not be your type of vibe. But there's more depth than just "Oud". The Cinnamon, Cardamom, and Sandalwood play prominent roles, then the Amber comes in. Sure, the 'Western Oud' smell is there, but it more of an instrument within the symphony. Overall, this is well balanced and last 8+ hours. I'd say cooler weather makes it more vibrant of a wear. I'm loving the entire line, but this Montblanc line gets zero love within the Influencers.

Honestly Montblanc hit it out of the park with this new line of fragrances. This one is my favorite that they've released so far. On first spray I was immediately reminded of Terroni by Orto Parisi. They share this dark woodiness, but this dries down to something more warm and spicy rather than Terroni, which is distinctly more earthy and smokey. I own Terroni and I will definitely pick this one up to use as a cheaper but still amazing alternative

This has alot of similarity to electimuss capa. This is less powerful with a sharp medicine style resiness feel where capa is darker and a little bit more smokey if you can pick this up for a good price I'd jump on it straight away this is excellent. this is not a fragrance for the sweet mass appeal designer boys. you have to have a love for high end niche. This is one for the winter months great job from this fragrance house

A very beautiful perfume, a fresher and more portable alternative to Terroni and Black Afghano. This perfumer is talented; I have tasted several of his fragrances and I can assure you that he never disappoints. I find Oud Star to be more refined and of better quality than Terroni, which I find very earthy and poorly blended. Magnificent sillage and good longevity, you would get your money's worth.

A great perfume for any occasion. For some may feel too strong. I absolutely in love with this smell. The longevity is veey good - enough for the whole day. The sillage is very nice, without pushing away people around you, but make them hear your presence at once.

Its somehow simultaneously thick and light, sweet and dry, at the same time. I can't wait for cooler weather just so I can wear this. Love it. Maybe not a 100% blind buy, but for $70 it was a no brainer for me.

Leathery with maybe a little sandalwood and a touch of Oud in there. So very pleasant to wear!

Tried this today, new one i never saw just saw it was newly released. Very very nice fragrance smells awfully alot like maison margiela under the stars same as terroni. Great longevity projection is slightly above average will pick this up 1 day, it's a really unique scent hopefully montblanc keeps releasing fragrances in this lineup.

A bit of a synthetic and sweet oud, not a bad fragrance at all but not that interesting and works better for women

Strong and strange. At first its too overpowering, but then dries out to a very serious and manly smell. The oud smells a bit synthetic, but overall ok fragrance for a colder weather.

Reviewing again. So shit. Barnyard disgusting oud smell. The guy 2x below me, @Perfumeaddict04, doesn't know what he is talking about.. lmao there is literally zero good about this perfume. I don't care about influencers telling me this is fine or good, it isn't. It is a f****** skanky HAY, GRASS, OUD, SPICE AND INK type of smell that sucks. I want the perfumer who created this to never create a perfume again like this. This is horrible. I promise you, test it yourself and try it out, you will be disappointed. Hellhole of a oud scent. So baddd.... 0/10. Or wait, no... -100/10. I wish you could give 0 stars. This is straight up bullshit. I wouldn't gatekeep fragrances.

I have to agree with Carter001. This has an odd warm spicy smell that gives me instant nausea. I think you either love it or hate it.

Such a lovely fragrance. It has been around for a while, but I only recently discovered it. The note breakdown features oud, amber, cinnamon, cardamom, sandalwood, and warm spices, creating a rich, woody composition with just the right amount of sweetness. The oud is smooth and refined rather than overpowering, while the amber adds warmth and depth. The cinnamon and cardamom provide a subtle spicy kick, and the sandalwood rounds everything out with a creamy, elegant finish. I stopped by Dillard's and picked up a sample, and I've been very impressed with its performance. I've seen some comparisons to Side Effect by Initio, and while I can understand where those comparisons come from, the resemblance is very slight. Both fragrances have their own unique identity. On my skin, I get around 6–7 hours of longevity. The sillage is excellent, and I'd rate the overall performance a solid 7/10. Overall, this is a well-crafted, warm, woody fragrance that's easy to wear and definitely worth sampling if you enjoy oud-forward scents with a spicy amber twist.

A great take on spicy ambery oud, woody profile, no rose or fruits. Woods all over, amber and spices only to refine it. Those commenting "barn yard", have never smelled real animalic oud, this is rather refined, not animalic at all. Rounded with amber and spices, a dash of smoke. The dry down has a bit of sweetness, I believe this is why some are comparing it to Honey aoud by montale, they're not similar fragrances to my nose at all, they share the oud/sweetness/and cinnamon, yes, but that's it, there's no honey here and the cinnamon isn't as prominent as it is in Honey Aoud. In Honey Aoud, honey and cinnamon run the show. With star oud, the oud is the star. Classy profile, if you like oud and like a Woody profile with no rose and fruits, and vanilla, you'll love this.

I recently got a 2ml sample of this. Have worn it throughout the day and evening today and really enjoy it. I'm surprised this line doesn't get more attention. I also have quite a bit left of the Patuoli Ink and Vetiver Glacier. Those 2 are my favorites out of the line. Black Meisterstuck is really good as well (got a few factory samples of that). Now Star Oud is up there with the other 2 I have, in my book. This is my first experience with what it called a Western oud, I guess. I adore Haltane by PDM. Paragon by Initio and Pegasus Exclusif by PDM are also great fragrances with oud that I really enjoy. As I get older I find my olfactory tastes have evolved. I think this is more suited for the mature gentleman.

I dont know what pure oud smells like or what synthetic oud smells like, i just know that this smells like "amber" to me. This is going to be a "dumb reach" for me. I just bought a tester on ebay for $56, this will be my first "oud" I dont care that it is a synthetic oud. It lasts well over 12 hours. So I think its worth the $56 in my opinion. But its not worth the $160 they are charging in store in my opinion. Maybe if it had the strength of vintage Aromatics Elixir or vintage Opium I would pay the $160, but it doesn't.. so i didn't...

This is so similar to Under the Stars by Maison Margiella that it's redundant to own both. The Oud is a actually a little funky in the opening and for about the first 30 minutes, but it dries down into a beautiful spicy, woody amber fragrance that is intoxicating in the air. I saw some people compare this to Oud for Greatness. It's absolutely nothing like OFG at all. It's actually closer to side effect if you had to compare it to an initio fragrance. For the price, this stuff is hard to beat.

Similar to some western oud, like Golden Oud by Alexandre.J. Not the same, but in the same vein. Sprayed on a paper and instantly got disappointed. It's just another oud, nothing interesting, nothing new. No barnyard goodness; not earthy, just boring.Yeah, it vibes with Terroni or Black Afgano, but that's about it. You can get real cheap middle eastern fragrances with the same scent profile. I am glad I sampled first.

I was at Nordstrom smelling the same 5 colognes and then I saw this one. I was surprised to see a designer Oud so you can imaging my surprise when it wasn’t overly sweet and actually good. The Oud note is pretty similar to Oud for greatness. 10/10 I was NOT expecting this from montblanc

Dry. Sticky. A little bitter at first. Pretty challenging release, I'm impressed with MB's guts to put out something like this. It's not gonna be for everyone. This is no entry level oud. The drydown is surprising me with a chewy amber-vanilla. It's in the background but it is there.

I'm honestly shocked how "barnyard" this is for a designer oud, the opening is in a similar vein to Oud 27 by Le Labo. This opens with a harsh blast of barnyard oud & spice, but over time softens to a soft sandalwood & cardamom

A spicy sandalwood fragrance with an amber base. There's a hint of an oud note that reminds me Tom Ford's Oud Wood. Pros: Polite like a Montblanc pen in your pocket.

Has that peanut butter smell like Terroni. Pass.

It reminds me alot of Montale Honey Aoud
