Amberesque

Amazing fragrance, usually I don t like Ambers, this one is different, smooth, smoky, sweet, presentation is beautiful. Smells expensive

This is a pretty unique scent, and not what I was expecting. I don’t get amber or fruit. Mostly sweet powder with some barely discernable citrus and well-blended undercurrent of patchouli/vanilla/ vetiver--and what almost ruins this for me is the geranium and pink pepper that shows up early on as the fragrance starts to dry down in a very big way. It is spicy/fresh and almost minty and it seems a bit out of place, especially when you smell it up close. In the silage it's better, and maybe that was intended. I haven’t smelled the original version of this, Arabesque, to compare, but saw that the one review on that mentioned this fresh mint smell as well. When you first spray it on the silage is magical, comforting and warm. You can tell it is of exceptional quality and that much attention was paid to details and how this unfolds. It is potent but doesn’t knock you back. It draws you in. You only need one spray on the chest maybe another on your wrists if you’re going out at night. This doesn’t feel like a daytime or casual scent. The other moresque I just purchased from this collection seems very formal as well. I do like it and I intend to keep the bottle in my collection, but I am not sure how much will wear it. The bottle, by the way, is beautiful, and it has an amazing atomizer. Edit: the geranium smells like winter evergreens and provides the perfect backdrop of fresh below that powder and I love it now. This was the perfect fragrance for winter and is in my regular rotation. On the other hand after having macerated for some time the sweetness is gone now and it’s very bitter. Almost a different fragrance.

In the first few minutes it's really nice smelling, but then it turns into a smell of something rotten, shame.

What spices did they put here? I get a nice sugared amber with some touches of patchouli and then I get the spice...yeah..the CUMIN spice! this has an unpleasant dirty BO drydown that smells like cumin! Why? cumin doesn't belong in nice high end perfumes unless the intention is to smell dirty..and who in the right mind wants to smell dirty? Not me. Hard pass.

Minty clean patchouli fossilized in thick sugary crystal amber. Spectacular and boozy, smells exotic yet sweet and cozy at the same time. Unisex.
