Divina Marchesa

The most interesting pefume I have ever smelled. My first thought was "boring minty gum" with moderate sillage, but still, it had "something" annoying in a good way that made me sniff at my wrist in every two seconds, so I bought it. A little later it morphed into a beautiful spicy whirl of sweet cinnamon & fresh mint. I'm like...wow...this is so unique, so beautiful. Unisex, indeed, I can see this one on any gender at any age, but since it's really one of a kind, I would not say this is a safe one for blind buy. A few hours later the drydown shocked me again - sweet balsamic amber, sandalwood, a teensy bit of incense, somehow makes the drydown warm and powdery. Very beautiful, warm, spicy, unique, and still elegant perfume with great longetivity, and as time goes by it has stronger & stronger sillage. Which seems weak in the beginning ends up a monster by the end. I am in love!

Amouage is my fav fragrance house, and I have a few, my husband has too. My favorite from his collection is Enclave, and I cant stop sniffing his neck after he uses it. I already own Contessa from this house, and today, I smelled this beauty and bought it immediately! I think Moresque doesn't get the recognition it deserves, I mean, they made and Enclave 2.0, which is wow, considering how amazing and good Amouage is. Their perfumes are so out of the ordinary and perfectly balanced, rich, deep, all of their perfumes projects like crazy, and they only use the best ingredients..so im surprised DM has that depth and warmth too Enclave has. This leads me to the conclusion, Moresque is a great perfume house, and I will definitely try more fragrances from them.

Smells like a person who burns incense, works in an apothecary and only uses essential oils as perfume. In the best way. You get the big blast of mint then cinnamon leaf then it settles into the patchouli and light smokey muskiness. Its like a natural signature scent of someone not trying to have a signature scent. Very comforting. I think you could wear this any time but this is the kind of scent that I would gravitate to in the fall.

Wow, the top notes of the fragrance! Strongly peppermint with cinnamon. Cardamon and lavender and a dash of pink pepper. It is so intense and fascinating. Reminiscent of eucalyptus and evergreen trees. Amber comes to play soon enough and sweetens the blend and gives it resinous feel with incense, sandalwood and vetiver. The sweet flowers give it a more feminine character which it did not have initially. Soft iris notes, rose petals and sweet jasmine. It is very original and a beauty. It is also universal weather and occasion-wise. Peppermint and lavender make it an interesting choice for summer, but the rich, smoky and ambery noble background will surely fit winter, too. It stays pepperminty and true to the opening but it is a bit too masculine on me. Unisex at best in a feminine bottle.

starts out with strong, spicy peppermint, but quickly mellows into a warm musky scent. grounded with patchouli, sandalwood, and incense, while still retaining those spicy hints of mint and cinnamon leaf. very pleasant, but overpriced imo

If there were more reviews I would not add mine, because I scrubbed this off after 20 minutes. I will give it a chance later, but I have recently been sick and it was very cloying and nauseating. I tried it on a blotter a few weeks ago, and it was surprisingly pleasant, based on the notes I did not expect to like it actually, but it was a hot day and on the blotter the fragrance seemed to be refreshing, slightly floral (iris mainly) and aromatic, so I asked for a sample. I put it on my skin today and for a few minutes it was something between divine and disgusting. Unfortunately it turned out to be the latter. It starts with a peppermint note, which is not fresh, rather aromatic and artificial, like toothpaste or mouthwash, or as mentioned by the previous reviewer, like a minty gum (green Orbit if you are familiar with it). Then the cinnamon kicks in and freshly crushed lavender lingers in the background. This mix is both interesting and repulsive in the same time. The cinnamon is getting stronger and stronger with time, which I don’t mind as it is a note I really adore, but it really is a “hardcore” cinnamon, not a little sprinkle on your latte, rather your face in a box of grounded cinnamon. In quality this cinnamon is similar to Montale Honey Aoud’s cinnamon. My problem is that very soon after spraying it on, I start to smell a base I oftentimes smell in Italian niche perfumes and sometimes in other niche brands, like Montale too, which is very aggressive and offputting. I would describe it as very artificial, chemical-like, metallic and slightly musky (well, not shampooey musk, but animalic and raw). It might be a mix of chemicals to make the fragrance more long lasting or to project better, because I have noticed that I smell it more (but not exclusively) in fragrances with a volatile scent profile. Whatever it is, it becomes really really cloying together with the above mentioned mix of not so matching notes. I hope I am going to have the courage to try it again and update my review.

We found a new kind of clean girl, she’s minty fresh. Mint is familiar scent yet I find myself sniffing it over & over. There is something refreshingly unique about this fragrance.
