Fiamma

I just got a sample of this and WOW. This is the most gorgeous Woody Gourmet. A very sophisticated deep honey sitting in a cedar bowl with a hint of rose, and with just enough vanilla to enhance but not overwhelm. Just lovely. Usually I'm not impressed with fragrances being, "unisex", but I would say that Fiamma is an exception. It is unisex, but in a beautiful and very un-awkward way. I honestly can't think of another fragrance that I would say that about. It skews a little cold-weather-suited, but honestly wouldn't be out of place worn in the summer. Beautiful is beautiful in any season. It's a little pricey, but it has a right to be. This is something worth saving up for.

Looking at the notes, you might expect a creamy, benzoin/resinous, vanilla-amber type of fragrance. This is far from that. Fiamma is beautiful, just a bit unexpected! I experience a Turkish-style rose and a rich incense accord (similar to what you'd find in Afnan Supremacy Incense). The honey note is subtle. Cypress and juniper add a delicate aromatic flourish that helps steer the drydown away from developing into the aforementioned creamy sweet vanilla-amber. Unisex. A bit dark. Quite sexy--unchaste even. Good sillage and longevity, but like a lot of Moresque scents, isn't suffocating. I got my bottle for a very good price and have no regrets.

Oh oh oh this is AMAZING! Sophistication at its finest. So deep , intoxicating and rich yet gentle. To me, it's the most delicious wild dark honey on a spring day. So well blended and well made. The performance is stellar. Dare I say, its definitely worth every penny. As niche fragrances goes, I'm over the moon with it. It should be renamed Decadence in my book. Solid love.

Can someone who understands these things explain why this is not Bois d'Argent? If you do a note search with enough notes, you usually winnow things down to an original and its intentional clones. Dumant just put out their version of this. BDA does list resins, so maybe that and varying emphases on the similar notes makes these 2 distinctly different scents. In that way, may it was a thoughtfully considered homage My question at the top is entirely serious and I do not intend for anything to sound snarky. I would welcome and appreciate any and all education from wiser minds than mine

I had a rich friend and would go to his house. His mom was hot and she smelled like this. Crazy how these old memory connections can wake up something in my mind that arouses me 20 years later lmao

Stunning, delicate perfume. • Yes at first snif I thought it is Alma Pure! because of AP fantastic champagne and birch notes I love. but yea, I'd say Fiamma is more ambery Alma Pure with more juniper and cypress in drydown. • If I think of raw light Honey, then I feel it. Less leather and patchouly. Iris and not gourmandy sweet vanilla with myrrh, dried raisins with some chocolaty, coffee note wibes in green woody fresh champagne!!! • Some small tasty associative memories with chocolay Dolce Passione pantheon Roma and Portoro I Profumi del Marmo... musk... And don't know why, but it let me think of Ambre Russe and Serge Lutens Arabie. They all have some tasty "hearty" overall composition :)

Amber saffron vanilla resinous. Sweet amber with tiny doses of saffron. It has honey sweetness and chunks of vanilla. I'm not sure that i can detect myrrh, patchouli, iris, cypress, and musk! it's just sweet amber. fair.

Love at first sniff. Grabbing a bottle of this very soon. In fact, this and Terenzi's Al Contrario will be brought together. Love the vanilla resin in Fiamma.

No rose? Can't believe it. It is definitely rose and patchouli combo.
