Oh my god... first of all thank the sellers on Mercari for getting rid of the fragrances they blind buy and don’t like because I got such a good deal on this fragrance and it’s like it’s never been used before me but anyway this scent.. I can’t imagine why anyone would dislike this.. it’s what I hoped Oud Tonka would be because everyone raves about Oud tonka saying it was so almondy and smelled like cherries but to me Shaghaf Oud tonka smells like candied orange blossom and almonds.. so almondy and powdery that if smells a bit like orange blossom marzipan but I’m not a huge fan of how thick and dense it smells on me not to mention I don’t get any cherry vibe so when I got this fragrance and smelled it.. I was like that’s what I wanted Oud tonka to be but the quality is a million times better and it’s absolutely mind blowing. Moresque was genius for adding shimmer to their fragrances because it’s so damn stunning to just look at and experience but then you spray it and the scent is so damn good. It’s fresh and spicy due to that ginger which was done perfectly then you have the almond which is very clearly almond not cherry like almond. The almond and the cherry are very much their own notes in this composition and I’m so glad because the ripe sour cherry gets a chance to shine while the almond is a supporting note that adds this nuttiness. The fragrance is both bright and airy while still having some warm cozy density that really sticks to your skin. It’s a cherry I could easily wear year round and not get sick of. The ginger really keeps it fresh and spicy and steers it away from being cloying so it’s easy to get addicted to this. This cherry is unlike others and it’s special. Some of these brands are taking notes like mango or cherry and putting such a special spin on them that it truly does justify having 5 mango scents or 7 cherry fragrances. Like it’s amazing how many different ways you can make a singular note the star of the show and it smells not only amazing but so unlike any of the other fragrances with some of the same notes. Reasons why I will never stop adding cherry fragrances or mango because they are usually so so good!

The scent of a perfect gingerbread! Absolutely perfect. I never encountered a scent that is such a perfect representation of gingerbread. Cherry, ginger, almond, brown sugar are the most evident in the opening! Apart from Regina di Fiori this is my favourite Moresque. This scent I love. So unique. It retains such character during wear, but rose, iris and tonka add their voices too. Not too strong it is lovely even for summer, though rather for the evening. Perfect!

Very similar to Lost Cherry, but slightly more affordable and long lasting, AND in a gorgeous bottle with shimmery juice!

The best cherry fragrance outhere! Strong, long lasting, mytserious! Go for one if you love cherry note!

Beast of a fragrance. Not overly sweet, pretty boozy. It starts Amaretto on me, but eventually all I smell is cherry liquor. I have to wear it some more... I am searching for an alternative for Duchessa, Perpetual is not the answer.

UPDATE TIME: TLDR: YUCK 😔 So it's been what, about a year since I've purchased this and regretfully I must inform: After many years of my mostly successful blind buying career, it has finally come to an end with this fragrance. It's everything it was in the beginning when I first got it, just stronger! The musk has become thick and dated, still combined with the strong cough syrup, medicinal cherry and some earthy patchouli and I hate to be so juvenille but it honestly makes me gag. Still no vanilla, no tonkabean no Florals?! This is NOT a gourmand! I repeat, NOT a GOURMAND. Not even a slightly airy gourmand like they say it is. At least not in my experience. I'm shocked since it's been a whole year! Everytime I've tried to wear it, I've always ended up scrubbing it off and putting it back in the box. It smells very dated but not in an elegant, timeless, classic way. More like an aged, dusty, antique kind of way. The sillage and lasting power are still excellent. Anyway, I'm irritated that I wasted my hard earned money on this. It's not even something I could give away because I don't even know who would enjoy this. And my collection is full of too many fragrances I enjoy to suffer trying to make this work. Does goodwill accept fragrances? Save your money, don't listen to paid influencers. I'm off to go douse myself in some Xerjoff to get rid of this nightmare! Ciao! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I never add reviews this early. I always give perfumes ample time to sit because they can definitely change and develop overtime (which I still will with this one). So, interpret this review accordingly. However, I had to review this because there are so little reviews on here or on YouTube from people who paid with their own money like me, and I would like to save people the trouble. I've had it now for about a month. Don't like it. I'm not the biggest fan of cherry, but I am a fan of high quality enjoyable fragrances and can certainly entertain a cherry if it's done well (khaltat Night). To me, all I smell is a waxy, cough syrupy medicinal cherry (very very similar to Lost Cherry by Tom Ford), musk, and patchouli. I don't smell any bright zingyness from ginger, I don't get any florals whatsoever, and no beautiful vanilla or tonka bean. Contrary to what others have experienced, I find the scent to be heavy and thick not bright and airy at all. Additionally, its not that sweet, very Unisex a man could wear this. As of right now, it's a complete fail of a blind buy. I'm hoping that with time, the florals, vanilla, and ginger come through to temper the sickening waxy cherry. If you like TF Lost Cherry, you will probably enjoy this, they are very similar to my nose at this point in time. The longevity is good (As is the case with all perfumes I dislike 🫠🙃😆), lasts quite a while on skin but I've never worn it out of the house to test the sillage because I quite dislike it right now. I will update this review in the winter time, and hopefully it changes. It is a new release so it might just really need a lot of time to settle but please do yourself a favor and do not blind buy this. This is one that I would send back if I could because judging by the way the composition feels, I don't really see the quality, so I'm not sure this will actually get better. However, I will give it a fair chance, we shall see. Cheers!

I had my eye on this after seeing several reviewers talk about it. I blind bought it and deeply regret it. This is not the fresh, delicious, gourmand perfume it is touted to be. Something in the opening, likely the ginger mixed with the other notes, makes my stomach turn and gives me that heavy need to swallow in the back of my throat. While there is a hint of a spicier lost cherry upon initial spray, this is a spicy perfume that I cannot fathom wearing currently in the hot temperature. The array of notes turn out to be a confusing and nauseating mess. If you are thinking of blind buying, I would strongly recommend sampling or waiting for more reviews to come out from people who have purchased this item with their own money. If you have any recommendations at all on how I could make this perfume work, please let me know of possible layering combinations.

Maraschino cherries in the vial, iodine soaked almonds dusted with cinnamon the moment it touches my skin. Yuck yuck yuck. The iodine turn is so horrid.

A fresh and sweet gourmand. Freshness from the ginger and is made sweet by the cherry and tonka. Those are the 3 notes I get primarily but in the dry down I do get the vanilla and sugar as well. The fragrance wears airy overall which is really nice and the cherry is not of the cough syrup variety, it is very smooth and has great performance.

Is there amberwood in the base? Because I like the creamy gourmand opening but the dry down is horrid on my skin.
