This Delicious Gourmande is a wonderful discovery. It's a wonderful, very ,oriental vanilla ! This can be a signature Vanilla scent with a rich profile, used alone, or layered. Underrated for sure, the name itself is Seta, Silk, and if there is one thing this delicious concoction is it's : silky. But don't be confused, it's very strong, it leaves a trail, and it's the type of fragrance people smell on their clothes or pillows or cars to remind them of you. Probably even on their own clothes if they hugged you, it lingers...in the best of ways. Warm, gently spicy, velvety fragrance with a hint of magic. This is delicious, strong, sensual, feminine, like a hug in autumn ! I find it a hint sexy too, saffron bergamot and lemon are not overpowering at all, yet present and clear at opening stimulating your first senses,FINALLY a fragrance that uses the citrus notes right! Ylang Ylang is not that "super strong -at time screechy" type, it's wonderful. It's elegant. This is Aladdin's Jasmine perfume, a princess ritch perfume with heritage. So i understand the reference in the description of a Wealthy Middle East merchant coming to Venice to purchase precious luxurious silks and recalling the woman he's fascinated and obsessed with. Vanilla holds every ingredient in a warm embrace and it's the predominant note of this fragrance, while creamy sandalwood a hint of amber and warm benzoin dance around her. This IS SO WELL BUILT, i cannot believe all the online influencers with the recent "gourmand" explosion trend, haven't found this gem, that smells divine, and well layered, like true perfumery should be. It's a slow but intense fire between two lovers who are starting to know eachother and are infatuated with eachother's presence, voice, smile and touch. Burning longing for love. At early stage of seduction, laced with passion. The drydown tends into a warm gourmand caramel. ( Caramel cookies with Almond ). It's a kiss in Dubai. That's what i would call it . Or Oman, or Persia.

mmmmmmmm Seta A beautiful perfume. I bought it for myself but in the end my girlfriend appropriated it. I wasn't mad because it looks even better on her. The perfume is sweet but not suffocating, thick but not sticky. It is very creamy and airy, my mouth salivates when I smell it. It is recommended to put it in the hair, so the perfume will last all day. One of the few perfumes that makes you turn around, makes you smell it all the time. Vanilla and amber, spices and citrus, thick and creamy, like the most expensive ice cream that stands in front of you and cools and warms at the same time. I smell pistachios in this perfume. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 8/10 Perfume performance - great perfume, lasts for sure from 8-12 hours, but it depends on the skin, it lasts shorter on my skin, while it lasts longer on my girlfriend's skin. The sillage is there and can be felt even from a few meters away. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 Perfume rating - Great perfume, one of the most unique. Very nice and polished ... simply a masterpiece. Gourmet perfection.

Typically, I find amber notes unmistakable - this is also true of Seta but here it is all around softer. The top, mid and base notes each spend time dancing with the amber like perfectly paired partners, never stepping on the other's toes. One could argue this is due to better blending but I would suggest that it is more how the amber itself is carried throughout the scent cycle. As this dance begins, the opening accord strikes its pose and the amber wraps it in a gentle embrace - it's quickly followed by myrrh and ylang ylang spinning across the floor, the amber expertly guiding it along. As this dance closes the vanilla comes forward enhanced by a soft sandalwood, the amber sharing a final moment in the spotlight. If you're looking for the softer side of amber, something to wear for a night out dancing perhaps - search no further.

Nicely done. I absolutely agree with this description from the brand: "Obsessed with the smell of silk, he’s searching for that silk imbued with a warm odour reminiscent of a woman's skin who had escaped from his power.",- and I am pretty sure, the woman in question was wearing Angel's Share from Killian or Just Before from THOO. If you keep expectations close to that description, you will not be dissappointed. Close to the skin, addictive vanilla with a tincy bit sour ambery vibe and traces of all the goodness that Angel's share leaves on clothes the next day. Not every perfume needs to be a hero, sometimes we crave a quiet time that is pleasant, but closer to heart. Both Seta and another wispering jem from Moresque, that is Scarlet Rouge, are marvelous at that. Both ready to wear, no extra work needed.

This is sooo, so good. I believe it's called like this because is the same feel you get from wearing a luxurious silk set Instantly makes you feel "hugged". Is smooth and oriental, very sensual and feminine but the agrumes notes balance the sweetness out and so it stay "clean". The benzoin and the myrrh make sure to turn the fragrance into a more sophisticated than a real gourmand. I have no idea why someone is saying is not lasting. I went for a run and showered after, I can still smell a delicate scent on my skin - almost turned into Ani from Nishane, id you know the fragrance.

Warm skin in the sun, a bourbon vanilla crème brûlée accompanied of its glass of rum and sweet incense burning in the back of a beautiful terrace with marble statues, in Italy or Greece. That’s what I get from this perfume. It’s sexy, it’s sultry, it’s seductive, it smells luxurious and expensive. It lures you in and eats you whole. Elvira from Scarface would wear it. It’s very unisex ! On me, this is more of a gourmand that fades down to a deep incense scent. It’s very strong so go easy on the trigger ! Surprisingly long lasting too.

I only got a sample of this fragrance because it had ny name (Seta), so I figured why not try it. So a total blind buy. Turns out the notes are exactly my favorite and what I typically go for in a fragrance. It's warm, sweet, spicy, and only a touch gourmand because if the almond note at the top. But then the total dry down is this incensy vanilla that is just perfect for me. I can see it being unisex, but I would say because of its sweetness it might be a bit feminine leaning. I absolutely love it and plan to buy a full bottle.

This fragrance is very warm but in an unobtrusive way. It is not cloying, rather cosy but in the same time elegant. if we speak of silk, which seta is in italian, it is not a light version but rather something a bit heavier. Vanilla for me is not dominating there, actually the blend of notes is made very expertly and originally. On my skin it lasts for quite a long time, I still can smell it in the end of the day, but it stays closer and closer to skin. Anyway, it is worth a try.

I have owned this fragrance for about 2 years and even though I do love it, especially the opening and dry down, the ylang is right on the edge of putting me off. So, I do love it but I've been layering it to get the most benefit from it, if you know what I mean. This fragrance is soft and alluring. I could not imagine anyone HATING it per se, but like I said, if Ylang Ylang is not your thing, then get a sample. I am 56yr old Fem and I think this sits perfectly in my zone.

This is a cozy, cuddly scent that warms the soul. The sillage created by this delightful fragrance is a perfect little cocoon of spices and caramel goodness. To my nose and on my skin, it is a more masculine leaning version of What About Pop (which I also have but must confess that I do not pick up on the popcorn note in What About Pop, so that may not be the case for others.) I absolutely love it and am enjoying it thoroughly this fall 🍃🍂🍁

This is nothing like BR540. Honestly, it never even crossed my mind they have any similarities, so I wonder if people commenting they are alike have even worn these two fragrances. Seta is like a fluffy vanilla ice cream with a drop of creamy ylang, served onto a sandalwood plate. Myrrh is giving it just enough depth. Overall wonderfully composed perfume, even though it doesn't brag a ton of projection/sillage.

One of my all-time favorite vanillas. This is so very smooth, warm, and comforting. It's sweet (VERY vanilla-forward) and feminine without being sugary. The saffron and myrrh (and a barely there hint of citrus) deter this from being too gourmand-- it's more resinous than anything else. The marketing description of silk makes sense but I think of this as more of a thick, enveloping blanket.

Very realistic saffron smell which give a animalic side, fizzy bergamot, resinous vanilla, cramy ylang-ylang and a little hot smoky by the myrrh This is 🫦 in a bottle, the only negative point is the lasting power cause even in my clothes i do not smell it the next day. I Really love it but ll not repurchase it, better try another one with more lasting power. glade i give it a chance

I am not getting BR540 from this. It's way more in the Lira family. Not identical composition-wise, but both similarly sweet, warm, intoxicating. The Ylang Ylang is smooth and creamy and the myrrh, which I find to be overpowering at times, offers just enough spice to keep the vanilla from being too dessert-like. Lovely, exotic, wearable, comforting.

THIS IS AMAZING. I tried a sample before a full bottle and somehow the full bottle smells better. Maybe the atomizer or batch but wowww. I get a sense of cinnamon even though it’s not in the notes. Maybe that’s myrrh? Hot damn it’s sexy. Perfect for winter.

Today I have received a decanter of this fragrance through yuniqu and I have stayed a bit that neither yes nor no. The perfume smells good but there is no point of comparison with other similar perfumes like Baccarat Rouge 540 in terms of quality; or red temptation by Zara or cloud by Ariana grande in price, perfumes to also really looks more like. If I hadn't tried BR540, I would surely fall in love with this one, but knowing the one from MFK, this one leaves me a little indifferent ... Does it smell good? Yes ... But I don't see it necessary in my collection and I think that before buying seta, you should try the other one to make a proper decision. Therefore I have not just found its place in the market very well by not competing in price or quality. Regarding the aroma, it is much more medicinal than in BR and much dirtier, with a touch that on my skin reminds me a bit of burnt sugar and that reminds me of the sensation that perfumes such as Lattafa raghba cause me. In general, it is a fairly discreet aroma, vanilla and amber, very sweet, and in this case with an overdose of sugar compared to other perfumes like that. On the other hand I feel a spicy part, with a very noticeable saffron and what develops on my skin with an aroma very similar to cinnamon. Performance isn't bad but it's not a bomb either. It lasts more or less well for 6-8 hours but with a very smooth projection. I will gladly use the received decant since I like the perfume and it is very wearable and versatile, but I don't think I will buy a whole bottle. Myrrh, sandalwood, vanilla, creamy ylang-ylang, that’s mainly what I feel smelling this. Initially there is something bittersweet about it, reminiscent of amaretto. That’s nice and unusual. As far as the comparisons to other fragrances are concerned - yes, I get why some of the reviewers think it’s similar to Raghba, the vanilla tends to have some incensy aspect in here, which reminds of Raghba. About Baccarat, I’d say I would tend to agree more if it was compared to the Extrait. Why? The Amaretto reference, slight burnt sugar vibe and airiness. Is it meant to smell like Baccarat? - Absolutely not. I don’t think this would be redundant if you have any of those other fragrances. Longevity is good, projection not so much - it transforms into a nice skin scent within ~2 hours. It’s a big like from me.

I just got my bottle. In simples terms this smells like toasted almonds with vanilla and resins, but not much sugar. It could be the sandalwood myrrh and ylang creating the illusion of almond, but that's what I get. I almost get Civet (not listed) in the very base, There's something animalic in the deep dry down. Quality is really good. The first couple of hours seems quite gourmand, but later the resins in the base make it less so. Opening and early stages are more fem leaning, but deep dry down a bit more male leaning. Still completely unisex in my opinion. Longevity and projection are above average, but not beast mode. Bottle and packaging are beautify and classy. I'm happy with my purchase, will try more from this house.

Don’t know if mine was reformulated but it’s so weak. Nice amber vanilla with slight citrus, reminiscent of MCD Amber Nuit BUT it’s only about half strength. What a pity.

Citrusy sweet with a warm slight spicy amber frag. The yellow floral is also detectable in the back. Not blind buy safe but gorgeous!

Hmm.. So I wish I got the creamy ylang ylang or the vanilla. On me Seta is very dry, resinous and woody. It starts quite sharp and after about an hour settles down a bit and becomes more powdery. I would absolutely call this unisex. I don't hate it. It's actually quite nice in its own way and I would like to smell it on others, it's just not for me. As a note to readers, I personally like sweet fragrances and this doesn't read sweet to me at all.

Pleasant and not very deep on me - very much like Womanity which is lovely but as I already have that, redundant. Will revisit again and update if things change.

Ambery resinous vanilla that is fairly linear.

This is very dry and bitter on my skin. Usually I have trouble with sweetness being amplified while wearing scents but this has no detectable sweet notes. I find no citrus or vanilla. I'm getting dry sandalwood and a musk(and/or myrrh?) that just grows more and more bitter. Even 3-4 hours in, nothing sweet has appeared. I don't understand what's happening here. Review of a very unfortunate full bottle blind-buy from Harrods. UPDATE I think most myrrh dosen't work on me. It's nice on others or in the air, but on my skin it tends to turn bitter. Reminds me of very dry, powdered aspirin. PS BR 540?!? WUT?! Please explain.

Bright and lemony in the opening, then it quickly fades and I get a lot of myrrh, spices and vanilla. It’s really not that great. Very strong. Doesn’t smell like cookies like others have said on social media.

I should love this fragrance, since I love all the component notes, but it just isn't a skillfully blended accord. It is somehow flat and dead on the skin. It's a sad waste of potential.

The most synthetic vanilla I have ever smelled

It’s not BR540. The closes thing I’ve smelt to this is ELDO Frustration with added gold incense sweetness (ton of oriental examples, but let’s use 24 oud as an average or CH Confidential Gold Incense as a high end example). The same sweetness underlines perfumes as the new releases in black bottles from the niche Trussardi line. Kilian’s Angels’ Share ambery cognac sweetness is another reference which can help you understand how complexity is added to ELDO’s Frustration to take it to the level of Seta. I own, use and love Aromatics in Black and I find no resemblance. I own Fustration and I like it’s simplicity and the cozy roasted chestnuts in syrup woody vibes it has for wearing in its own or layering more intense woody and dry perfumes like MMM By the Fireplace. If Frustration I would wear to Christmas Eve dinner with my parents as a cozy way to not scream at anyone with my perfume, I would wear Seta out to a social gathering - afternoon coffee with friends around the holidays when it’s cold outside or a more formal gathering at dinner, when I wish to feel comfortable and effortless - sensual, festive and dressed more elegantly casual (oversized cashmere sweater; French manicure, shimmery makeup and bouncy hair; thigh-high boots over jeans, rather than ... say ...”red dress” type of sexy). This is a great autumn perfume to take you into the winter and add quality to your experiences through the day. I recommend it if you don’t have THOO The Night Before and ELDO Frustration.

Moresque Seta is an amber and myrrh scent. It is creamy due to the sandalwood, ylang-ylang and vanilla combo but don't go thinking that this is a sweet, gourmand perfume. No, this is a warm autumn scent where myrrh is the star player. One other perfume that I can think of that has the same vibe is Clinique Aromatics in Black. My husband likes to wear this one more than me so it has gone to him instead.

I just couldn't shake a feeling of deja vu with this one (in a good way!). Looking at the notes, it must be myhrr et delires from guerlain that I am thinking off. Love that one and love this one. I think the guerlain one might also be discontinued, and even if it's not, seta has a much "friendlier" price point. So try this one if you liked myhrr et delires or missed out on that one.

I love love love this frag. Just took a bottle for myself from the stock I sell 😆. It opens up with some sweet notes and I get a very light vanilla here at dry down..will have to give this a full wear some other day cos I cant determine which is which again from the alma pure I sprayed next to where Seta is. However layering alma pure and seta wont be bad for a combo.

Compared to other amber scents I already own, Seta is reserved and subtle. I’m okay with that since I have plenty of loud ambers. I really like the accord; it has many of my favorite notes (myrrh, ylang). It’s a little smoky (mysterious) and matches the brand comparison of a woman’s scent on silk. I think it’s going to be very versatile.

This is very sultry. Tons of Myrrh, amber, saffron, vanilla...benzoin. It feels slightly nutty. It reminds me of Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka with a dash of Valentina Myrrh Assoluto. It has a slightly masculine undertone. It is a little bit too much for office wear. It might be better suited for romantic cold winter nights. Potent scent.

Sweet pistachio amber. When i saw the myrrh i thought it would go dark but it isn't. It's more nutty with that sugary (not cloying) pistachio & bits of milk. It has syrup within and i believe it's syrup myrrh with big amber. I believe it's gourmand-ISH and the colder it goes the more sweet (cinnamon) it gets. Cute.

smells quite spicy and woody on me, like a cinnamon stick in a forest. masculine, almost. i’m not getting much of the amber, vanilla, balsamic, sweetness, or citrus. i don’t see myself finishing my decant and may well hand it over to my husband.

Creamy, silky fragrance heavily inundated with sweet myrhh. Saffron hints peak through as well and you'll sense a vanillic presence. If you enjoy a delicious gourmand not based on typical gourmand notes you may enjoy this. Bottle is lovely.

Short review, but as ckorp8 said very WEAK. Delicious scent but does not worth EVEN discounted prices (around 100USD). Will worth with more projection. so smooth and delicate vanilla-sandalwood :(

I think the reason Seta gets compared to BR540 is the ambroxan dry down. They start off very different but after about 30min all I can smell is a gas station urinal. What a bummer...

Gorgeous fragrance! Slightly creamy but the unmistakeable saffron cannot be missed.
