Ubar 1992

#1789 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Got this decant from scentsplit.com I’ve previously blind bought two Moresque scents. “Aurum” is a great scent. “Soul Batik” is okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it. “Ubar 1992” is a pleasant, herbal-leaning incense scent that’s business, formal or evening pleasure wear appropriate. Very classy. Unisex, masculine leaning. Middling potency. I think the $66 price on FragranceNet is a steal so I just ordered a bottle. Good Luck and Good Hunintg!

A hypnotic cypress scent-- a favorite note of mine-- with a mirage-like sillage of incense, labdanum, and a touch of aromatics. While not very similar to Larmes du Desert by Atelier des Ors, it scratches a similar itch. Overall, it is exotic and well-blended. Not a projection monster or too heavy. Lasts a long time closer to skin. I found my bottle for a good price and I couldn't be happier with this particular blind buy.

Not a perfume I own, it's my father's signature and lets me use it sometimes. Very masculine, barbershop fragrance with a notable oriental note (because of the incense and pepper mix), maybe a bit too "humid"...I don't know if you can get what I'm saying. Performance is good and in my opinion is always a good choice, one of the best all year round perfumes.

Unfortunately very disappointing. I saw it in my perfume closet yesterday and wondered why I haven't worn it much after I bought it maybe a year ago. Today I remembered why: it's barely there after 5 minutes. Like reviewer Patchouli Lover, I found it to be a skin scent almost immediately. I was expecting more, considering the impressive looking bottle and the list of notes, but it really is a vetiver-clary sage scent, and all of it very middle of the road.

Has some Cacharel Nemo vibes. A bit poedert. The cypress is quote prominent. Actually I quite like Ubar. Not quite a "panty dropper" but just nice. Blending quality is above average. The scent is complex and changes troughout its duration. In the end it gets a bit salty, rather good. Longevity is above average. I'll have to sample it a few times more for a final judgement.
