Blue

Blue is something different from the commercial Florals you can find from the department stores. If Miracle by Lancome reminiscents a innocent girl in pink Tutu, a crowd-pleaser; then Blue would be a great way to show you the same girl, but grown up and more confident of getting her messege cross. Ok, about the scent: Blue starts with something really clean (even a little bit sharp, in a good way), powdery and with pink pepper spicy hint. Soon the spicyness goes to the background, and sweetness comes in with more floral emphasis. I cannot detect any jasmine, but have a luxary soapy rose scent with some warm and nutty taste. Somehow, this is like a brave and much wearable and nicer version of Hypnotic Poison by Dior. The dry down is quite nutty sweet, dusky musky, creamy sensual, woody and even a little bit leather-y to me. It is really comforting, somehow reminds me of appreciating a muffin in a lazy sunny afternoon, and starring at the candle light. I would say Blue is more to the Oriental Floral end rather than a pure Floral. However Blu lacks of a tiny bit something I really looking for in a perfume I would love. Anyways, it is an interesting scent to try on.

I'm intrigued by the bottle beyond my self control and my regards over decency. Strongly reminds me of CuSO4 (copper (II) sulphate) solution in a volumetric flask. Do they exactly fill the flakon up to where the menicus reaches 50 mL line? Is it secretly intended for scientist ladies out there? May I rephrase it as "Morgane Le Fay; a woman who expresses herself with her experimental results" to suit the appearance? Pardon my wild imaginations. Plase blame the bottle design that's undeniably bearing the uncanny resemblance to volumetric flasks in any chemistry lab around the world. Warning: DO NOT apply this family of perfume in chemistry lab to prevent confusion that may lead to chemical poisoning. Safety first, ladies! Oops! I'm so sorry again.
