Lumière du Jour

Love this one soooo much compared to the Original Moroccan Oil fragrance! I am very picky about my florals and was surprised to see this has orange blossom in it as I don't smell it at all. It's a beautiful spa like fragrance but not traditionally tea or linen leaning like most spa scents. I can't describe it but it slightly favors the traditional MoroccanOil scent but much improved. It's fresh like a expensive soap you would find at an expensive hotel. So glad my Sephora put this out early!

This has the DNA of the original, (or at least the original hair oil), however this one manages to have an incredible depth to it & has more of an amber & woody vibe compared to the spa like scent of the original. This is, imho a date night (or day date!) scent. If you like the Vacation brand Grand Cuvee scent, I am pretty confident that I can recommend this to you. I thought I liked the original but this one wow !!!!!! it's absolutely beautiful and I will be buying the full size. I can't describe the smell but it has the classic warmth of the original fragrance with an added light note. it reminds me of Tahiti. If the longevity is the same as the original then that's a shame, they really need to work on that.

I didn't love the Original one. It didn't smell as fresh as the hair products. This one keeps the same base as the OG but more fresh and slightly floral. I am not a floral person but I enjoy this especially when layered with some of my other fragrances or body sprays.

If you love Vacation's Grand Cuvee, then you will love this one too, maybe even more! I do, LOVE this one...I have a huge dent in the bottle already. I do wish it was stronger though, but I just layer it with Grand Cuvee.

Smells like you are fresh out of the shower on a spring day and theres a window open with a warm breeze and theres a jasmine bush right outside that window and the breeze is bringing the scent in

I got a sample of this in the mail today and it smells like angel baby bottoms surrounded by cotton candy clouds at the gates of heaven. 🪉 ☁️ 👼 IN LOVE WITH IT!

This smells like Oil of Olay from the 80's and its amazing. I am in love with this but sadly doesn't last as long as i'd like otherwise i'd scoop up a bottle.

It’s my absolute favorite scent I’ve ever encountered... it just doesn’t last as long as I expect for the price. I have to reapply 3-4 times a day :(

A modern, sophisticated Love’s Baby Soft...and it smells amazing.

Long story short: this smells divine and reminds me of a really elegant woman wearing a large floppy sun hat, a white maxi dress, gold bangles and large sunglasses, elegance and freshness bottled. More indepth: I really wondered how this would smell because I genuinely couldn't imagine the listed notes would work together, also, I had no idea that Moroccanoil had a perfume line either. I see a lot of people think this smells like the original (which I have and will write a review for later) but to me, the only similarities they share are the bottles. Lumiere du Jour is fresh, bright and quite fruity which I did not expect since there are no fruity notes listed at all, it smells exactly like how I'd imagine the shade of pink used to colour the cap would smell. The opening is very effervescent, but immediately hits you with a fruity, bright and slightly floral burst before settling down onto my skin. I genuinely do think this smells like strawberries/pink champagne, it stays very linear on my skin and only really settles to become more rounded, mellow and musky. Its a soft scent which doesn't project too much but it does last for a very long time on my skin, even to the point where I can smell it on me well after I've had a shower. My bugbear is, however, I've landed myself a bottle which has a slightly dodgy atomiser and if it is turned so the nozzle is facing the front of the bottle, it jams and it also seems to be slightly leaky as well, this is probably just a one off, but it is a little bit annoying! Overall, I really like this scent and I can see myself reaching for this during the summer, however I really do not get many of the notes listed in this one, I don't smell the salt accord, fig leaf or the juniper, I do get some of the florals (seamlessly blended) and I do get the base notes, but I'd have genuinely said that this had citrus and strawberries in the top if I had been asked to guess. Would repurchase

I like the original better but this is pretty. It's funny at my Sephora store they can't keep the original in stock. I go there to get a gift set and they are always gone. I told them to call me when they are back in stock. All the ladies working there said it is their best selling fragrance since it was released. They had lots of the new one in stock. This new one has a bit of the original DNA in it but it is a sheer white floral with fig. The DNA of the original is more in the base and dry down. But in a lighter more sheer way. If you like very gauzy, breezy white florals with clean musk a dash of salt and fruity fig this is very pretty but for me the original is the one I will be buying at some point soon because it has more presence and is stronger. Not to mention I love the Camilla and the violet in the original. It has more of a vintage vibe. It is very powdery and woody, much heavier on the sandalwood which appeals to me more, this new one is much more musky with lighter florals and woods. This is a bit to sheer and transparent for my taste. Very Gen Z here IMO. Clean girl aesthetic. Kind of beachy as well. I can see a young teen wearing this. More office friendly than the original as well. Soft, ethereal, gauzy and sheer are words I would use to describe this one. The blonde woods give an almost toasted coconut smell in the far dry down. Staying with the clean girl musk coconut beach trend that is very hot right now.

I dont have the original version so I cannot compare. But Lumiere Du Jour Moroccanoil Parfum is really beautiful! If you are familiar with Morroccanoil Hair Oil, this definietly has that scent as its base DNA (which I think is the amber, woods, and musk note.) Layered overtop is feminine floral and an aquatic notes. I pick up Jasmine but do not smell any orange blossom. The aquatic note feels lightly fresh, oceanic / salt. Really pretty if you want to smell clean and feminine, would layer well with Moroccanoil products. If you do not like Morroccanoil Hair products you will not like this. The bottle is pretty and the top is a heavy-weight metal which is much nicer than plastic. For me this is perfect for summer because of the aquatic / clean vibe, but the MorrocainOil signature scent which is the base of this perfume (woods and musk) leans this towards a nightime fragrance for me.

Powdery and a little sweeter to my nose than the Original; I'm liking it a lot more! There's still a bit of stem-y sharpness and tang, but this one comes across more like a gentle floral lotion or detergent than the bulk liquid soap association I'd had with the original. Clean and musky drydown that's subdued and will be easy to wear in warm summer weather

The original was a tad harsh to me. This version is slightly sweet, predominantly jasmine and tuberose, but not thick and indolic as some white florals can be. I am not getting any orange blossom. It's airy and fresh, I think due to the salt and fig leaf. Very pretty, would be an easy reach for warm weather.

On me this was a a soapy clean girl floral. I haven't tried the original so I can't compare to that one, but I found this to be pretty generic and linear. It didn't really evolve at all from first spray through the dry down. As someone who is already not a floral fan, the simplicity to this made it even less appealing. It was pleasant, but not one I'll purchase myself.

If you disliked the original, you might find this version a little better. It is a bit fresher, just as soapy, but less sharp and screechy. It is still a soapy, clean girl smell but Lumière du Jour is a bit more rosy and floral. Hours later is settled into a light, pleasant skin scent, nothing exquisite, not worth bragging about, It's a pass for me.

Very similar to Mon Guerlain to my nose. Could be a more affordable dupe.

On first spray I thought I got a wrong bottle, because this smells extremely masculine to me, like super butch. It ́s a faint ghost of the OG which I like, but they are not similar at all. I ́m shocked actually. I like nothing about this. Will wait a week or two and revisit if I dare, maybe timing it before I need to shower just in case I need to.

this just smells like baby wipes. truly. am not a fan of this at all

I received this today along with the L’Originale. L’Originale is very clean, florals are fairly sharp, & it comes off maybe a bit powdery. Lumière du Jour on the other hand is much softer, soothing, and absolutely sweeter in the softest way. I think this scent is superior. Comparing the two side-by-side, Lumière du Jour is much weaker. It’s very hard to smell after an hour, and that is with my nose touching my skin. L’Originale still has some decent strength. I’m worried this won’t have much longevity or sillage based on this, but will update when I get a full wear in. ADD: I think sillage is low, but this lasts all day on me and I have received multiple compliments. It’s luxurious! This is one that will be in my collection as long as it lives

Maybe I'm crazy, or maybe it's that this is the last thing I smelled in a very noxious Sephora... But it reminds me of Ariana Grande REM minus the lavender. I suppose it's the fig + salt + woods combo that is giving me that impression. That said, I like this and it's got a hint of the true moroccanoil DNA and different enough from l'originale (which I liked at first but it ended up being a bit nauseating). Not sure if full bottle worthy but probably travel spray worthy if you are a fan of the original and also airy fig notes

Just got this today. Ordered directly from Morocconoil. They sent a free sample to try so if you don't like it you can return the unopened box. I LOVE this concept. Tested the sample about 30 minutes ago. It has the original DNA of the their first fragrance, but somehow made it more warm and feels warm sunshine. I was expecting a bright scent but this is actually a soft, cashmere, cozy, warm sunset evening of a scent. It's really pretty. I'll most likely keep it!!

I love this scent. I had been searching forever for a new signature scent. Soon as I smelled it I wanted to put on a summer dress with sandals and have wine by the lake. My only issue with is getting it to last. I have no idea how to layer this to last. There's no oil or lotion that is made with the scent.

i love the original and love grand cuvée from vacation, but this smells so baby wipe-y!!!!! i keep going back to it because i want to love it, but it takes everything that's so great from the original and adds an element of powder and sharpness to it that my nose doesn't like. gonna have to return :(

This is for sure a great flanker , I have both this one and the L’Originale. To me it’s a better version 🤷🏾 I just wish this line performed a lot better. You cant help but overspray just to get the slightest scent bubble around you. To me it’s not redundant to own both L’Originale & this one

I absolutely love L'Originale. I think this will be floral and fresher take on that one. They have very similar notes. I believe L'Originale leans more fall/winter but could be worn in the spring. Lumière du Jour will lean more spring/summer for sure. I can't wait for this.

The Original EDP was a hair too clean on my skin! I honestly wished it smelled like Brumes du Maroc! I want that in an extrait 🤣. This Lumiere smells WONDERFFUL. More feminine, definitely clean powdery! I personally really love it more than the originally

Am I crazy or does this remind anyone else of Prada candy? After it dries down it’s a very similar sweet dusty musk to my nose.
