i was very surprised by this ine, it's really not like all the other powdery musky vanillas. the opening is extremely strong and has a vintage yellow floral vibe, smells musky borderline aldehydic for some reason, vintage. the drydown is very much incense[stick] and powder as in feve delicieuse/tonka imperial and a friendly housewarming incense stick. this is not a linear fragrance, start to finish are quite different, but u can still smell the opening in the dry down, it's just not as prominent. it leaves a smoky dense vanilla, but it's not a super vanilla. also, the bottle design is lovely. i must say though, this is strong, not for the faint of heart.

Starts with a kind of peony/ iris combo that quickly turns into a dry, linear baby powder smell enhanced with a sweet marshmallow and a nice subtle iris. That sweet marshmallow may be the tonka and a slightly sweet, gently animalic musk. It's a miracle of modern perfumery that such softs scents can combine into a perfume that has quite strong projection and sillage. It's insistent and penetrating while simultaneously being soft and deceptively 'gentle' in feel. I like it, it's soothing and the tension is kind of modern. The marshmallow iris and musk gives it a nice flair smelled up close. And great that it has power and longevity as well. I have Talc Gourmand and Soavissima, both of which I find more refreshing and bright. This is a lace shawl owned by a once-glamourous but long gone lady pulled out of a dusty trunk, reinvigorated as a vintage heirloom on a woman with modern style.

I am surprised no aldehydes are listed. This is a beautiful elegant floral reminiscent of fragrances like Besos Carner Barcelona and Chanel No. 5. If you like either or those two, you will love this. I am impressed by the quality of this house.

A sweet creamy powder bomb. Very intense. Not my taste but I also don’t enjoy powdery scents but if you do, you should try it. This one seems very strong as it just radiated off a tester strip for hours.
