Cheap & Chic Chic Petals

It is so nice and such a great surprise!!! On me not woody, but can feel other well blended accords. I think it is great value for the money. It has nice dry down which is not the case with most of the "cheaper" fragnances. It is just about all accords well balanced and gentle, so it is hard for me to highlight any note. It is just like expensive soap, comforting, clean and calming. It has also good sillage nongevity. I am happy when I like those from a lower price range, unfortunately, it doesn't happened so offten. I bought it as a "homey" one, not expecting to impress anybody, just to please me, but I am reaching for it much more offten, than I thought I would. I saw many reviews mention that this one is teen perfume and I can not agree on that. Yes, it is not a complex one, but it doesn't mean that only teenagers should smell gentle and clean, I do not always feel to wear a complex, heavy, niche or what the "mature" perfumes should smells like. I could only say that due to its nature it is suitable for young one as well, but not only. And the bottle, soooo cute, reminds me of Olive from Popeye cartoon.This one is unexpected love :) Im surprised by so many negative reviews and my perfume taste is quite mainstram. Based on reviws I would never try this one, but i was tempted by the bottle when I saw it and glad I tried it

This is not just your typical summer sweet fragrance. I find myself as a very versatile perfume-lover. I do love heavy headache-causing perfumes (like BVLGARI Jasmine Noir or CH Good Girl), but also light and girly ones (like Lanvin Rumeur 2 Rose). This one was a very pleasant surprise for me. When I tried it in 2013, I was just about to buy me lunch and at first I said to myself: Hmm, another fruity summer fragrance. But after my lunch the fragrance developed into something more intriguing. I could smell Hinoki wood with Ginger and Musk on my wrist and it was something feminine and sexy. I was also lover of Moschino ́s Couture and Glamour and this perfume is really different from them. BUT I buy Chic Petals for almost 7 years now every year because the sweet start just lifts my mood up and later it enhances my sensuality. Thank you, Moschino :).

It's trash but I LOVE It, smells nothing like hugo boss nite at home, some respect bihs!! It's surprisingly well blended, just finished a bottle, may repurchase in the future if I find again at a bargain Price. This one smells more like the escada one, Boss is trash dont throw your money into that dumpsterfire. Its mostly pomegranate and sweet strawberries, some flowery mishmash. Super fleeting on skins, powerran through this one because I kept reapplying lol

Just bought my second bottle, a whopping 100ml this time. LOVE THIS! As a fan of light and fresh scents, I always thought this was better suited for night time use, but this has totally grown on me, especially this cold and rainy summer. Takes me to a happier place, where the breeze is cool and the sun shines, just like the ad. edit. it was suspiciously cheap at only 22€/bottle, hope it is not being discontinued or anything?

This fragrance reminds me the fragrance of forest, wood and red fruit. It is like when you smell the basket of fruit from Europe forest. When you are in middle of forest. I smell strawberries. Yummy, you want taste it. I dont think it is good fragrence in summer. It is quite sweet and then bees will be follow me. It is good fragrance in autumn or spring.

Sitting here, sniffing on this.. I really like it :) I don't get the ginger, which is good, because it's not to my liking. But I do get the strawberry, one of my faves. This is a lovely girly fun scent. Sweet, but not cloying.

This is such a fun scent. Flirty and happy, just like the ad. So finally bought it, yea!

I hate myself for liking this. Will probably buy it for summer.

01. august 2013 This one has been on the shelves for about a week and i had plenty of time to test it. I must admit i didn ́t expect anything good after a disaster named "Pink bouquet" from Moschino but since i have talked myself into new strategy not to judge the whole range or house by several fragrances i gave it a try. I must say i like it. It is girly without being so called 2Typical teenage girl fragrance" IMO. I really enjoy the opening, it is soooo good! The strawberry is überdominant but the unusual combination of it with ginger and pomegranate is actually quite nice. It balances on a thin line of turning into "strawberries-gone-bad" without crossing it. Quite a zesty opening, sprakling and very joyful. Later ginger is fading away and in the middle stage the most dominant notes i smell are gardenia and strawberry (still present very much) and pomegranate. This is when i find it bit less appealing, since gardenia is struggling with pomegranate and this is disturbing me. I am undecided yet if it disturbs me a lot or still tolerateble? I must admit that the closer it gets to the drydown the more it starts to remind me of a bathroom (or more precisly living room) air freshener. that is maybe because of the wood notes (is it pine i smell???) which appear closer to the drydown. The drydown is more about gardenia, pine and a slightest note of violet. Yep, as simple as ABC this fragrance is. ANyway it is very pleasant one, i must confess that during all stages the various combination of notes gave me feeling that there is a pineapple note in here. A pineapple that is over ripe. I guess this is the combination of strawberries and pomegranate. My opinion is that it would be more better for middle european autumn than hot summer. Might be also very good for chilly northern summer, i can ́t imagine it would be very wearable in 30 and more degrees (celsius) heat. Too much gardenia for this kind of weather. but for us here up north it is quite ok. This fragrance has more than average sillage on my and great lasting power, over 6 hrs. I like it, but not love it, i think i need to try it once again during autumn. And it is not expensive after all, so a good choice. :)

I just tested this today and it's the first Moschino perfume I've tried. Despite some very tepid reviews about it on here, I actually like Chic Petals. Admittedly, it's not particularly ground-breaking or unique but it DOES smell nice. On my skin a lot of perfumes seem to go sweeter if they contain fruity notes, so I can't even detect ginger in this at all, and it certainly doesn't smell at all woody to me, and I mainly pick up the strawberry, pomegranate, the orchid and gardenia. I only tested this a couple of hours ago and I can still smell it (which is more than can be said of some perfumes I've tested lately!) so the staying power so far is OK. Would I spend a lot for this perfume? No, but I would definitely consider getting a bottle of it if I could get it for a good price! The only downside of this perfume to me is the horrible bottle .. all these Cheap & Chic bottle just look so tacky and, fittingly, cheap, although the price of the perfumes is not so cheap! These bottles look like a weird little man with a fat, blobby, alcoholic nose! Weird! Still, the perfume's nice though ! !

This fragrance opens sweet and fruity, zesty (from the ginger), pomegranate first of all, then some strawberry. As the floral note, I pick up the more milky side of violets. ChicPetals does continue to be a fruity number after that, too, but less fresh: some wood comes in, making the overall feel slightly warmer and more gourmand.. I actually smell something lightly sticky, like popcorn!! Not bad sticky - it is still a very delicate hint of girly-ness and playful-ness, I very much appreciate it, it makes the fragrance very young and carefree, excellent for the summer and both daytime and nighttime appropriate. The fragrance closes with a fresh note once again: some sort of lemon to keep good company to the bakery-popcorn scent. A very pleasant and somehow unexpected mix. A playful fragrance all in all, fun to wear, simple to like, not a complex one for sure though, to be noted, that doesn't have above average sillage or lasting power either.

What a cute little thing this is! It opens with a bright fruity, tart refreshment. I interpreted it as a somewhat sour cherry candy, but not at all syrupy or medicinal...it's like candy, but not heavy or cloying. I get a shampoo vibe as well, and agree with others on that. This is very clean, and feels dewy. There's some subtle ginger, just a little zingy, but it never comes off as earthy or dirty, as ginger sometimes can. I get white florals, and it reminds of other uplifting fragrances, and it's not super unique, but it has quirky elements. It dries down into a clean white musk, without much wood. Had it more, it might feel autumnal, but because it's so light and lifted on the skin it makes me anticipate a casual day in summer when I can wear this to full effect! The whole thing makes me think of a day in the park, in a sundress, and ladybugs 🐞 🌸

I really like this one. I don’t see why people say it’s synthetic bc is not!!! Yes, its your standard non offensive shampoo-ey fruity perfume, but its really well blended, I can smell the pomegranate and the ginger, theres also a hint of greeness to it that makes so fresh. For the price you can find it, I honestly rather this than a BBW body spray. Lasts all day on me and its perfect for summer.

I like the bottle and I like the advert. I wish DKNY Red delicious was inside it though- to teach it a lesson on being a fun pretty berry perfume. It's ok took me ages to find it- not letting it go for now.. Wear it every day, girly but no attitude I'm afraid, I wish it had some attitude just like the character of whom the bottle depicts. I wouldn't buy it because of the fruity notes,but i got a sample for free and i gave it a try.Fresh fruity scent, proper for teenagers in summer.I'd recommend this perfume to older ladies, too, for freshness and fun!

This hasn't reached the U.S. yet, but I think you can get it on their website at least. I initially wanted to try it, but after the negative reviews, I may just wait til it arrives at some point here in the states.

Soapy berries with a touch of gardenia. I feel a lot of strawberries in here! Fruity, clean, bubbly. This is perfect for young girls (or young at heart girls!).

The perfect hot summer friendly perfume. It's clean, soapy and interesting. I think the woody notes make the difference. The downside? It's not very lasting

This smells a lot like blooming trees on springtime. Light and simple scent. I find it quite pleasant because it's freshness and simplicity.

This parfum sounds very good! It reminds me when I was a teenager :'). I taste it today and I'm so exciting of this fragrance.

honestly.. i'm actually a fan! it's grown on me. i tend to like sweeter sickly fragrances, but this is so lovely. it reminds me of a summer afternoon at the pool, or like a chilly spring day. it's sweet, gentle, clean - perfect for young girls. if you wear this and the sun is out.. i bet it would smell so nice. i don't smell strawberries, but i can definitely smell pomegranate, clean florals and ginger. wonderful! the sillage isn't the best, but for the price it's decent. a cute design too. 7.5/10!

I bought this because of Shana J's review of it. To me, this is primarily a pomegranate fragrance with a bit of a squeaky-teeth feeling. I didn't get strawberry much, but did get some ginger. I got wateriness and sourness and weirdly, to me, it smelt of cress. I just didn't like this one... It's quite short lived and has poor projection. But having said that, it is unusual, and if you love pomegranate, you might love it.

This a very light pleasant child like smell. It is so light in fact that after spraying on, you cannot smell it after 15 minutes. Any perfume which boldly states 'Cheap and Chic' should ring alarm bells. On the whole a big disappointment from moschino. I can only assume it is target for tne under 16 age group as will be suited to children who are venturing into their first perfumes.

Bottle is adorable. The opening is room spray level synthetic berry. It doesn't smell like strawberries to me, and I don't really know what pomegranate smells like (bitter?) even though I peel and eat a lot of them. It goes through a shampoo phase and then is a light and clean floral. Not getting any wood at all but am really enjoying the drydown!

strawberry water.... is the best I can come up with. Definitely more in the league of a body spritz than a perfume, theres just no oomph here at all... zero silage for no longer than a few minutes. Generic and pretty forgettable I'm afraid. The packaging is cute though. I'll pass it on to the little sis.

Ouauuu... This is truly cheap, not chic at all. Ok, I must have turned into a raspberry fragance hater, they all seem trashy to me, I'll stop trying anything in a red bottle.

I scent a very unpleasant plastic synthetic scent. Plastic and flowers... i really really don't like this one!

Moschino has always seemed quite irreverent to me in his proposals, the Cheap and Chic line debuted in 1995 with a funny bottle inspired by the silhouette of Olivia, Popeye's girlfriend in comics, it was a wonderful perfume which was followed by many flankers, some very irrelevant, others a little more popular like "I love love Cheap and Chic" which was a summer wonder that had a huge resemblance to the Dolce & Gabbana best-seller Light blue. This flaker that I bring today "Chic Petals" is one of the ones that I liked the most of the line, another summer delight where more than petals the Pomegranate stands out giving it a juicy, red and fresh note from its opening, accompanied by the wild strawberry that It accentuates its more fruity than floral character (at some point it seems to me that it contains lychee as well) the water lily gives it that characteristic aquatic floral smell so at no time do the fruits feel too sweet or overloaded, it has that fair and fresh balance which makes it perfect for daytime and summer or spring use, as the fragrance develops you can appreciate more floral but very delicate notes (gardenia and orchids) accompanied by ginger and musk making the composition quite sparkling topped by the Italian iris and cypress that give you clean and fresh air. These fresh fragrances are not very long-lasting, in excessive heat they tend to disappear faster but if we apply generously or on clothes we can extend their duration.

1. It has all the DNA structure of traditional Cheap & Chic, but even more sweet and syrupy, and somewhat disorganized in the harmony of notes. In the first spray he already makes it clear that he will be either very loved or very hated! Pomegranate is very lively, except that for my nostrils it was at odds with Ginger; I don't feel anything Strawberry in it, no. 2. I swore that it could have Roses in its composition, but what I feel must be the combination of flowers that refer to such a memory. The Orchid that I feel is one of the most humble ones and the smell of water hyacinth that I also smell in it, it kind of didn't adorn with the "what" of eminent beauty of that ornamental plant; For me, the Orchid is what still holds (portentosity) worth in this perfume, because in the most [...] 3. The musky touch that it has at the end and the feeling of dust that there is due to the Iris, are what make possible the very cool trail that it has. I don't feel any woodiness and in general terms I can clearly tell you that it is a perfume whose result refers to medicines, homeopathic pharmacies and/or clinics for treatments with liberal drugs. 4. There are those who like it, or love it, but for my nostrils, for the moment it didn't persuade and only dissuaded, who knows later on (I've burned my tongue a lot), we don't attract each other once and for all.

With a scent called 'Petals', one kinda expects that the composition will be dominated by flowers. Well, it isn't. Actually I'm quite disappointed with the Cheap & Chic line, because some of their releases back in the early 00s were very nice and wearable. However, their latest fragrances are anything but... This one, for example, is a total mess. It starts off very fruity, but it's hard to tell which exact fruit it is trying to evoke... my nose only detects rotten strawberies and something like rhubarb. I also get some woody overtones, and just as I expect that the fragrance is about to develop in that direction, the musk kicks in and never leaves. The combination on fruits and musk is both sweet and sweaty and rather cloying. The initial blast is very strong, but the scent doesn't last more than a few hours. All in all, this line has been on a downward spiral for quite some time. Too bad, because I really liked their early fragrances.

La publicidad causó efecto en mí pues desde que vi el anuncio en tv dije "lo quiero", ahora que lo tengo en mis manos pienso que todo es un conjunto bien elaborado pues la publicidad, la presentación y el aroma van de la mano, ya que es alegre, divertido, coqueto, femenino y primaveral. Ahora hablare de su aroma, según mi nariz lo percibo más frutal que floral, predominan las fresas y la granada, claro que las flores aportan lo suyo pues es la base para que no sea dulce y empalagosa,, sino que todo el tiempo se siente fresca, además no es un perfume frutal "aniñado", si bien es dirigido para un público joven ya sea en apariencia o espíritu.. es para mujeres relajadas, despreocupadas y como mencione antes alegres, coquetas y divertidas. Su duración es buena, aunque su estela es suave, es para disfrute personal y de quien tenga el honor de estar cerca. De uso informal en días de primavera y verano. Pd: La botella me encanta ;)

I don't understand why its refereed to as woody. To me it is totally fruity and floral fun! I love it! It is a cheeky mischievous sweet fragrance. the pomegranate and strawberry blend beautifully together to the point its almost a gourmand fragrance, the gigner deepens the scent and adds warmth and spiceness which gives it that little bit depth. Finally a perfume where the advertisement and the bottle design match the scent inside. Fun, bright,happy, fresh and sweet. It has to be said unfortunately the lasting power isnt that long, nevermind it is still mouthwatering fresh and delicious!

Well,at first spray it is fizzy candy fresh, but the lily takes over rapidly, and the scent overall becomes quite floral, it is indeed an explosion of notes, not sure though that they quite work well together, the chemistry of the scent isnt very harmonious, like it smells like a dissonant mix of fruits and ginger and orchid on woods...not that it doesnt smell good, it turns a bit sour, I just dont like it too much it is a bit of a mess as far as I am concerned.

I bought this fragrance after getting a tester and spraying it just before going to work. During the day I was getting wafts of this sweet and uplifting smell...hmmm I smelled different kind of red fruits...and flowers...just yummy...the smell of this fume actually made me feel like getting tickled; it made me happy and joyous:) A fun loving fragrance and dare I say the bottle is pretty cute! Try it, why not, you might like it

I am a HUGE Moschino fragrance fan, but i tried this at The Perfume Shop counter and was not impressed. Smells like any other 'childish' watery fruity, sugary scent. Not at all the quality i've come to expect Moschino perfumers to produce. Very sad. JUST BRING BACK L'EAU CHEAP AND CHIC! It was wonderful, i've never had so many compliments on a fragrance before.

I recently purchased a 5ml splash just to give this a try and it's lovely. To me this evokes memories of my teenage years going out with friends and spraying my friends bottle of Estee Lauder Pleasures, I'm not sure if they even share any of the same notes but this is a fresh, fruity floral and smells really great. I wish i had a bigger bottle.

The bottle and the concept are cute but the perfume itself is way too strong. I can trace gardenia and a kind of smoked smell that's offensive to me. I gave it a lot of opportunities but every time I try it, I can't tolerate it. I can't smell strawberry or pomegranate and it definitely doesn't feel like a girly perfume to me.

It lasts well but the scent itself is a bit common and unmemoriable at all. I detected a sweetness of pineapple into it though it is one the notes mentioned. Not bad for summer but it just cannot drive me to get a full bottle. A bit disappointed really for the original moschino cheap and chic is a classic to me.

bumped into it and had to try, it's irresistably lovely, just like the ad image of the lady, pleasant pomegranate and sunny ginger. i could picture a girl in glowing tanned skin, after shower(quite clean feel too), goes to the prairie and enjoys the Nature. the woody notes add it a bit roughness.

I love the bottle, the juice is quite "light" and fades on me quite quickly. Its reminds me of moschino cheap 'n chic, but then lighter and more stawberry I own a bottle of 100 ml, but I would like to swap it! (I live in Holland) So, If you would like to swap, please pm me!!

A 90% clone of Versace Bright Crystal, possibly a bit fruitier in the opening. Taking into account that Versace and Moschino perfume businesses are owned by the one company, the appearance of Moschino Bright Crystal like this was just a matter of the time.

"Fruity-laundry' fragrance :-) It's sweet and clean and innocent with a twist. You want to wear it even it has not a wow factor. Very refreshing!!!! Good choice as a first perfume for girls but (as an adult) I would wear it summer. Winner!

Lovely. I did not give if much attention but today I applied some more and it's gorgeous, chic, light. Just like a expensive shampoo. Guess I need one in my wardrobe. So classy! Hidden gem.

This is a slightly woodier version of Love de Toi by Morgan. Very fruity, sugary and cheap smelling. Truly dissapointing. Please replace this one with L`eau Cheap and Chic (missed by many).

Sounds interesting. Especially because of the pomegranate, orchid, strawberry, gardenia plus the woodsy base may give it a longlasting edge too. Looking forward to test it.
