Cheap & Chic I Love Love

I absolutely adore this fragrance!! It was my first perfume ever as a high schooler, and now that I'm an adult, I can very much see why. Yeah, I can see why probably it would be considered juvenline.. or COULD be... but I don't know, I don't know that I actually agree. It's just extremely fun, and playful! Truly, it just smells so wonderful... every time I spray this fragrance it lifts my spirits and brings me joy! I will re-purchase this perfume until the day I die. Unpopular opinion, but I never really perceived it to be (overly) citrusy... I've always just perceived it as fruity! I am not a citrus person, so I'm a little surprised seeing the other reviews and realizing that I am very much unique in that not being the primary vibe I'm getting from the fragrance. Worth noting, though! A little surprised as in it's citrusy, and I still like it. Wanted to note that I own Light Blue and I Love Love.... Some say that I Love Love is a dupe/clone for Light Blue, but I don't really agree with that. Similar vibes sure, but definitely not the same. Personally, I think that I Love Love smells a lot better. I enjoy Light Blue, but I can't even remember the last time that I reached for it. I fully recommend this fragrance! Great first fragrance for a younger person as well, but I don't think there's any age limit on it. To clarify, this very much gives perfume. Yes, it is well suited for a younger audience (again though, not exclusively), but it is NOT giving body spray and personally I really appreciate that!! No shade at body spray, but that's not what I'm looking for when I purchase a perfume.

Oh... :) I've thought about this one a lot over the years. It was my childhood signature and everything from the bottle design to the scent itself brought a smile to my face! Recently I got an official sample which I was SO excited to get in the mail--I never see this one out for sale in person anymore and I didn't want to blind buy just to be disappointed. Well, it's here, it's on my skin, annnnddddd... it's just as wonderful as I remember! An unabashedly fizzy orange soda fragrance that surprisingly retains its fizziness for several hours. There's a pinch of white florals floating in the background but nothing overly prominent, and near the end it reads vaguely orange creamsicle-like (I'm surprised there's no vanilla listed in the notes?). BTW, I have NEVER understood the comparisons to Light Blue. That one is nice enough on other people but any time I test it on my own skin there's something piercing and screechy that gives me an instant headache (I suspect it's the bamboo note as a few others I've tried with that note produce the same result). Moreover Light Blue to me is quite clean with "fresh out the shower" vibes and I guess "grown up", whereas I Love Love isn't juvenile necessarily but definitely a fun, carefree type of fragrance. I'm sad to hear it's being discontinued after all these years, with that news in mind I may commit to the biggest bottle just for the nostalgia!

MISTY Suspended Orange! Signed by perfumer Olivier Cresp (Light Blue D&G, Light Blue Eau Intense D&G), this beauty opens with a burst of zesty citrus evocative of mandarin, and continues into a fresh, sweet floral heart with airy, vegetal & misty nuances all resting on a musky cedar base. As is dries down, it takes on a misty, sweet & sparkling quality that elevates the citrus - like the mist liberated to the air by peeling an orange. Projects like crazy - well above average performance. Contrast to Light Blue Eau Intense Dolce&Gabbana: These is a similar misty citrus vibe, but I Love Love is more mandarin forward and more sparkling than the cold citrus in LBEI. I Love Love has roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to Light Blue (OG): These share a similar vibe, but I Love Love is more zesty, misty orange than the floaty/fluffy-citrus of Light Blue (OG). I Love Love has superior performance. Contrast to Mandarine & Cardamom 4711 Acqua Colonia: There is a similar vibe here with sparkling mandarin. I Love Love doesn't have the cardamom, but has superior performance. Overall: Unisex leaning feminine, well above average performance with amazing projection, and a beautiful scent profile. This is the perfect scent to wear to feel your liberation. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Oh the nostalgia. This was my very first fragrance love even though I never actually smelled the real deal until my late 20s. My perfume pipe dream. I remember seeing the 2 page ad for this in like Seventeen magazine. A perfume ad had never captured my attention like this and I dont know what itnwas about it that caused such a fixation.A little while later I was able to come by a paper sample in another magazine edition and I became obsessed. I needed to find this perfume There aren't many department stores in our area and nothing high end like Bloomingdales or even Nordstrom. I remember going to the counter at Macys with my sister and the sales associate had no idea what I was talking about and told me to check Target. A year or so later we were on a trip and my sister asked at a different department store. The associate was much more helpful and told us while they didn't carry it she knew it was very similar to DG Light Blue which my sister then gifted me for my birthday and it became my signature for my final high school years. Nearly a decade later I found a bottle of I Love Love at TJMaxx and didn't hesitate to pick it up. My adolescent mission finally complete

One of my favorites! Cheap, but good quality if you buy the vintage bottle. The new version, I'm not much of a fan of. They removed the wonderful waterlily notes and added a whopping dose of sugar alongside amping up the LOTV. The newest stuff gives me a headache and smells extremely generic. The watery, summery feel of the original was so refreshing in the summer. Adore the bulrushes note, though! As a kid we took long walks by a lake and there were always abundant bulrushes and cattails lining the paths. It has a very specific, almost fougere scent. Fern-y, but more aquatic. And saying it is like papyrus or cyrpriol isn't quite accurate. They're related as they are sedge varieties, but bulrushes have a less dry effect and smell fresher; more green. I'm hoarding my last millilitre of the original. It's THAT good! Such a unique creation and nothing out there like it, before or since. Comparing it to Jardin Sur le Nil is more accurate with the newest formula, but JSLN is far more synthetic and has WAY more LOTV. I see the similarities with Light Blue, but this is still better as it is less synthetic and is less likely to choke those nearby.

Thank God I have a small vial of the old version. The new one is very watered down and they've altogether removed the oakmoss, which is disappointing. It served as a nice anchoring point and gave complexity to a blend that now smells pretty generic. It's a shame the IFRA keeps imposing rules that crush creativity and keeps producing fragrances that smell so similar and lackluster and synthetic. The bulrushes note is also a lot more subdued that it used to be. It's still very pretty, but just smells kind of boring now. The ceylon cinnamon is perfectly presented, not too loud or spicy like cassia. This is a soft, clean, refreshing citrus-floral blend that dries down to musk with some very very soft cedar. The old version would last 12 hours, but the new is 6-8 depending on how sensitive your nose is. It's suitable for all seasons, though perhaps not a Midwestern winter - a little too cool for that probably. And it seems like it would be good for all occasions depending on how you like to present yourself.

Very citrus forward with a woodsy dry down, but doesn't lose the orange. It's not expensive, but don't be fooled - it's a great fragrance to have in your collection. It punches up amber fragrances and works great with rose, orange blossom, Lotus, Hibiscus, lily, and lots of others - experiment. It works great with aquatic fragrances for an unusual tropical twist. The combos are endless. If you layer it with Vanilla, it smells like the Orange Julius you used to get at mall in the 80s. In the 80s Moschino was a wildly popular fashion house. They produced the Cheap and Chic line for high end department stores and the clothes were avant-garde, irreverent, colorful, and greatly loved. You can still find some pieces when shopping vintage. The perfumes fit that aesthetic. The emphasis is on fun, joy, and throwing aside pretension and tradition. Orange has always been a popular fragrance, but to smell like you worked all day in an orange grove and then went dancing- that's 100% Moschino.

i really let myself forget that "i love love" is that b and ALWAYS will be that b. this was the perfume that made me very interested in scents. because this opens with a BAM very citrucy almost too much. and the opening lasts about 15-30 minutes on me. in the meantime the citruses become bitter and the sweetness starts to peak. sometimes i get the woods and cinnamon but not all the time. theres definately some type of white and sour florals (not in a bad way at all). but after 1 hour or 2 it just settles in this very unisex but sweet but also very airy scent. DO NOT give your note in the first 5-10 minutes. spray it on yourself. wear it for a day. and don't go too lightly when spraying. i know the opening hits you like a double decker bus. just trust me it will wear significantly down. (i mostly do 3-4 sprays. you can at least do 2 big ones)

Дойдя до стенда с москино, меня заинтересовал дизайн флакончика (И он вовсе не уродливый, как некоторые говорят, а очень даже наоборот). Брызнув эти духи себе на руку, я почти сразу ушла и только по дороге домой я поняла, что это любовь с первого вдоха. Сам аромат свежий, водянистый, цитрусовый, ка счастье во флакончике. Он точно никого и никогда не задушит. Хоть такой аромат и приятно носить летом или весной, я также рекомендую его использовать зимой, ведь набрызгавшись им в мороз и выйдя на улицу, ощущения от этого дуэта будут непередаваемые. Но единственный и самый большой его минус — это его стойкость. На мне он держится не больше 3-4 часов(

This was one of my first perfumes that I wore in high school and I just find it so fresh and bright. Later in life, when I was I love loveless, I smelled a girl that I worked with at the time and thought that she perhaps had it on because I got that clean laundry citrus, but it turned out to be D&G Light Blue. Secretly, I was happy because I did not like this person, and thus my memory wasn't tainted. (She was obsessed with my boyfriend ((now husband)) and was pretty aggressive about it!) But, with this reminder, I ran out and bought myself a bottle right away and I've held onto it ever since. Thanks, girl from work! All in all, this is better than Light Blue. It's unpretentious, jolts your senses, and hits the right high notes.

Sugary, fizzy grapefruit with a ton of white musk. I find this somewhat edible, smells like citrus candies/gummies; then it starts getting aromatic. The dried scent is just like the local markets here in Mexico during autumn-winter!!! tons of limes, clementines and sugar canes! It's also like a christmasy punch with the sugar cane and cinnamon, very nostalgic 🧡🍊 I find it unisex and I'll wear year round, specially excited to use it on christmas season 'cous I relate the scent so much to it lol 🌟 Very layereable! If you wanna amp the muskyness you can mix with a white musk oil/perfume, or with something more citrusy to make it fresher, it's also nice on top of fruity gourmands to make them crisper 💖

💲I purchased this from Marshall’s. The package having been tampered with & sampled by excellent shoppers, was marked down on clearance ~ under $15 for the 3.4oz EDT. 👃This is a citric breeze in a bottle. I understand the comparison with Dolce & Gabana Light Blue - this is literally the same airy powderiness but combined with orange rather than lemon. This perfume is an unsweetened creamsicle. It is very long lasting- I don’t even need to reapply this once throughout the day. Hence why I have literally owned the same bottle since 2003. Goes without saying, the shelf life of it is unbelievable. The juice is the same color as when I first bought it and no foul oxidation has taken place whatsoever.

Ah, how disappointing. Yes, it's Light Blue TWO, from the same nose, but I don't get any orange AT ALL. That's why I'm disappointed. I bought this on the strength of all the orange references. I've been trying to work out what that strong fruity-ish core is. Looking at the notes, maybe a pungent grapefruit rind? So, for me I Love Love is 'ok', pretty meh really. I ADORED Light Blue and if I had to reach for a woody citrus, I'd just go for that over this. I'm finding that rind note quite jarring. The mini bottle is gorgeous though. Please MOSCHINO - BRING BACK L'EAU CHEAP & CHIC!!!

Opens with a blast of bright, sharp grapefruit and dries down to a slightly sweet-tart-musky mixed citrus. It definitely resembles Light Blue, but without the strong apple note (which was never my favorite) and at 30-50% of the price. I love the scent at all stages. Longevity is maybe 3 hours before becoming a delicate skin scent, but that's a citrus for you. Youthful and uplifting, but not juvenile. I always turned my nose up at this because of the UGLY bottle, but now that I've tried it, I plan to use this a lot this summer. A lesson in not judging a book by its cover, I guess.

I've wanted Light Blue for awhile but thought before I invest in a bottle i'd try the much less pricey I Love Love. Upon application it is SO similar, you'd have to have a pretty well trained nose to distinguish between the two. I get a little more lemon and less apple than LB but barely. The drydown is a tad softer and less acidic than LB. Moderate longevity. Very pleased with this one, great dupe. (Also not sure what the bottle is supposed to look like but it's cute!)

Mango Hi-Chew, just as another user said. So funny, considering there's no mango listed at all. I like it for slow summer days, dropping off the child at childcare, putting something on before running out the door to face life. Not serious, super affordable. Just a light hearted scent. It's such a shame it disappears so fast. I wont be repurchasing but I will reach for it often until it's gone. I'm curious about the other ones in this line now.

I adore this, its a healthy breakfast in a bottle. Great for waking up, a citrus that is not too sharp. Fantastic mood booster. Not too sweet. So.. folks.. I think we have some magic here. I went out and the first person I met said I smell good. Then another person complimented my shoes. Then later another person complimented my necklace. This stuff never happens to me so I'm going to give the frag 100% credit and say it makes people like you.

This little guy grew up on me in such a way that I prefer this one to DGLB. They are definitely related but not dupes, Cheap and Chic has this proeminent spicy orange that makes him unique and distinct from DG. I think it's a fragrance that goes on every weather, even though is definitely made for Summer vibes. It feels younger and joyful than the cousin, with the addendum of not being overpriced, I bought the 100ml bottle for 30 euros.

An almost thirst quenching grapefruit, fizzy yet slightly bitter. The base seems "molecular" but I'm not sure which one, one of the fresh smelling ones. I never perceived there was sweetness here but it layers beautifully with really sweet stuff like choco musk. Very similar to light blue but somehow also much better imo. It has been a summer staple in my collection for years and gets so many compliments... And now it's disco'd.

Nostalgia in a bottle! This was my first fragrance. My mom had D&G light blue and this was and still is the flirty and playful younger sister. It’s juicy, zesty and sweet. Although my tastes in perfume have changed significantly, but I still love it and wear it from time to time to the gym or on hot days to the beach. The lasting power is insane for the price. My gym cloths still smell like this perfume after a workout
