Cheap and Chic Hippy Fizz

Hippy Fizz is another HG summer scent for me (the other one being I Love Love also by Moschino). I like everything about it! The bottle is very cute and matches the fragrance it contains perfectly. The fragrance itself is very "summery" - actually, to me it feels like a nicest summer day hidden in a bottle :) The main note is quite obviously lemon, and what sort of lemon it is! I don't know how it's possible but it's both sour and sweet (more on the sweet side, though) - in other words YUMMY! The staying power of this fragrance is outstanding: it lasts all day on my skin (i wish my beloved I Love Love lasted at least half that long). To sum up, Hippy Fizz is a very lovely and wearable fragrance for hot spring/summer days. If you're into citruses like i am, i really suggest that you give this one a try. Having said that, it might be a little on a "younger" side.

This is so lovely. Just so fresh! I Love Love is one of my all time faves, and while the initial blast of this one delivers a heavy dose of lemony floral goodness,it very quickly develops a heavy note of fresh cedar. Before expanding my scent-ual horizons, I would have immediately balked at this, thinking it to masculine. But thanks to my love for some heavy cedar/moss hitters ( Salvador Dali ItIsDream and Tous H2O) I think this keeps the lemon from being to overpowering or cloying. Many other reviewers have stated it smells bitter or to chemically, I think that is just the cedar coming through. I find it pleasantly dry(??) and fresh. The drydown is just the faintest whiff of lemony floral. Yum!

I gave it a review in 2015. Meanwhile, it's been discontinued and both me and my daughter managed to consume the last drop of it. I've tried to find another bottle but it really disappeared from the market. Great loss!!!! Still, today I tried for the first time Mademoiselle Rochas edt (de toilette!! ) and I was so puzzled because I felt I knew it, that it was something from my past, but couldn't quite put the finger on it. And then my daughter came and sniffed and exclamed "Mum! It smells like that Moschino perfume we both loved so much!!" And yes, it does. It's not the same, but it satisfies my longing for Hippy Fizz.

Too bad it's been discontinued - this has been my teenage love as a perfume. I fell in love with it on a sample and then I purchased a couple of full bottles. The only flaw is the poor longevity (as any other Moschino Cheap & Chic fragrances, to be fair), but on the other hand it's really lovely, it's everything but boring, as it is quite complex for its segment. Not a boring citrusy at all, but rather playful and youthful as the people it was marketed towards. It was definitely worth the price, as it was a quite inexpensive perfume.

I haven't the slightest idea how anyone could dislike this. I bought it because i know moschino has amazing perfumes and the bright colors, had no idea what it would smell like. I'm so glad i just went and bought it because it is amazing ! I've never had so many compliments so frequently. A woman i was waiting on at my work even asked me to write out what i was wearing on a piece of paper because she loved it so much ! My new favorite and i have like 30 perfumes that are all also awesome but this is the absolute best.
