Toy 2

4/26/24 This was a blind buy for me. I was actually doing a search for office/crowd appropriate scents as I work a lot, but I also love perfume. I had no idea of the history of the bottle. I thought, “If it’s safe as a children’s frag, it’s safe for work!” (After researching the “Toy” line, I read the bottle design is actually meant as satire - I guess to show the other perfume companies to ease up and not take themselves so seriously.) However, I do think it would be a safe frag for a girl to start out with. It’s clean, soft, powdery and entirely feminine. A little goes a long way. In my mind it conjures up images of mother-and-child paintings by renowned artist Mary Cassatt - innocent, pure, secure, safe love. Not all scents need to shy away from being office and crowd safe. If you’ve ever experienced a “Shalimar” like experience as you’re working, it’s - at least for me - NOT a pleasant experience. I want day scents to be quiet, unobtrusive, inviting, and dreamy - to help calm my intense drive and focus as I get through the hours of a work day. And that’s what Toy 2 accomplishes. It needs to be added though with a gentle hand. Too much is headache-inducing. DEFINITELY daytime-appropriate. It can be nighttime-appropriate too if it drives your partner crazy. I would imagine in the right circumstances it would be sexy when applied subtly and directly to the skin’s pulse points. Rwar! 🔥💦❤️🔥 Top notes: Apple, Mandarin Orange and Magnolia. Mid notes: White Currant, Peony and Jasmine; base notes: Musk, Sandalwood and Amberwood.

A couple of mos ago I went to Perfume Mania and sampled probably 10 different perfumes. In the store I didn’t think too much of this, but when I started walking around the mall and smelled the test strip with Toy 2, I was like ooo, what perfume is this? I couldn’t remember. I knew I liked Yara and Dior Addict, but I had forgotten which one this was. My advice is bring a pen when you’re sampling with multiple test strips. It smelled so fruity, fresh and breezy. I went back to the store and the salesperson and I couldn’t figure it out. Anyways I ended up going back a week later after I had narrowed it down to this and Yara White. I was so happy to figure it out and to know this happy, joyful scent is Toy 2. For me, the apple, orange, peony and magnolia really shine. And I can’t always tolerate peony. I love it! It’s not spectacular, but it’s pretty and nostalgic. I know it was created in 2018, but Toy 2 smells like the 90’s to me. In my opinion it is better than CK1, Tommy Girl or Pleasures which everyone wore then! The bottle is really cute too!

Toy 2 by Moschino is a soft, sweet, and slightly quirky take on a fresh everyday scent. It opens with a burst of fresh laundry and crisp green apple — clean and fruity without feeling too sharp or synthetic. I don’t get much citrus from this; the sweetness leans more into fruit than zest. There's a smooth, silky warmth that wraps everything together, almost like a soft blanket, making it feel a bit cozier than your typical airy fresh scent. There’s a hint of something “perfumey” in the background — likely from the florals — but it never becomes cloying or overpowering. Light, inoffensive, and slightly sweet, this sits close to the skin and doesn’t project heavily or last particularly long. But that’s okay — it’s the kind of scent you wear because it makes you feel good, not because you're trying to make a statement. Overall, Toy 2 is a charming, fresh, fruity scent with just enough nuance to keep it interesting. A great inexpensive pick-me-up for everyday wear — cheerful, easygoing, and crowd-pleasing.

This is soooo beautiful. Don't sleep on this! Yes, it smells like you are fresh out of the shower, but I love that. It's also more complex than your typical soapy/shampoo fragrance. It has a beautiful sweet green apple (almost pear-like) quality that smooths it out and rounds it out. It's not a sharp soap, but a warm linen vibe. Not a "notice me" scent, but more of that "there's something about you" scent, which I personally prefer and find more charming. So versatile, you can wear it for any occasion (any time of day/year) and give off that expensive/classy vibe. The first celebrity that comes to mind is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I don't know maybe I always imagine her in something white, clean, classic, and crisp, whether casual or red-carpet. She has natural and clean, but fully done-up makeup and hair. There's a gentle and classic femininity about her. If anything I've said vibes with you, give this a try, please!

I wear this when I don’t want to offend anyone. Perfect for school, work, etc as it’s very intimate but it lasts all day on me. This smells absolutely divine when you’re fresh out of the shower & you spray this on. Pair with a crisp white shirt/dress that you just took out of the laundry & you’ll give off luxurious rich aunt vibes. This bottle smells exactly what it looks like. The promise of spring. It’s delicate, soft, and clean with a touch of fruit. It is pretty musky though; it reminds me of a baby’s perfume I wore when I was younger. This is one that my man has really loved in my collection. He hugged me and was like mmmmm you smell soooo good.
