Toy Boy

Had to re-write my initial review: a lot of new knowledge and understanding of fragrances has come to me, and I personally believe that my previous one was an insult to that gorgeous fragrance due to shortness and lack of emotions The opening and first impression is still the same: «wormwood washed with soap». Very green, floral, with pleasant cleanliness and a little spice. After some time, it evolves to stunning photorealistic rose leafs with the flower itself during its blooming phase - bright, natural, outlining, wet. The pepper is weighty, attention-grabbing, and does a great job here adding what feels like thrones to the flower, making it, in fact, masculine. Sometimes it also shines with sweet and sour notes, but mainly it stays that nose-cutting rose Mind-blowing performance of authentic parfum with longevity from 8+ hours on skin and almost everlasting on clothes, with strong, yet not cloying projection and luring sillage. The bottle is playful and cute, meanwhile, heaving luxury league pressurized atomizer that can compete with Dior and Chanel without any problems. By the way, 1-1.5 sprays on the neck and chest is all that you need to shine and grab that passing by noses to your persona. I actually usually do half spray and have a performance comparable with most of blue fragrances. And due to the notes in composition, it’s, in fact, versatile for all year-round wear, yet in summer, you might want to stick with half spray and during winter, press it good 2-3 times. Meanwhile the perfect weather condition is a cold spring rainy day - the feeling just cannot be described with words, you have to live with that experience Got this on sale and paid 45 euros for 100ml. With every wear, it feels more and more like I committed a crime and should go to jail for getting such a heartbreaker that dirty cheap. It’s definitely in the top 10 of my best purchases in life, not only fragrance-related Honestly, a huge desire to write a hateful review and tell everyone that it’s the worst chemical mess that you can find, but only for one purpose... I want to rock this masterpiece by myself There’s actually not a single downside, except not being for everyone. You must have your own personality and charisma to wear it, or the shiny bear will wear you. This was my love letter to Moschino's masterpiece and I want to finish it with one line: absolutely incredible fragrance with unique and challenging DNA, that truly smells like an absurdly expensive niche

Inter Parfums is a drinker...and a FIEND In 2024 he goes off crazier than usual Paul Smith Rose grabs the kitchen knife to defend herself He doesn't like that. Not...one...bit. So, me watching, he discontinues her, laughing while he does it. He turns to me and says "why so serious?" He comes at me with the knife... Little did I know there was an embarrassing honey bear that looked like he was fresh from the set of Friedkin's Cruising. All of the unisex perfection of Paul Smith Rose with just a little hair on its chest. The lush, dewy rose of PSR, anatomically complete with the stems and leaves, alive under the sun after a summer rain as they climb the trellis of a garden arbor you have the pleasure of taking shade under. The entire and complete fullness of it all, but with a bite. Not too macho for its own good. Just a little wallet chain. The sylkolide, vetiver, sandalwood, nutmeg, clove, and pink pepper only individually detectable if searched for, ganging-up into a sort of punchy Iso E Super vibe that sends-up the cedar of PSR. Meanwhile, the equally obscure pear, cashmeran, amber, and elemi conspire behind the scenes to tribute the PSR musk in the way an arm wrestler might imitate a chess player. This is not Paul Smith Rose. This is entirely different. But the statement hefts something cheeky in your face. Absurdist. Dada. Like seeing "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" written beneath the image of a pipe. No. The painting is not a pipe. Nor is Moschino Toy Boy Paul Smith Rose. But, while I can't confirm suspicions of tribute or imitation, the pipe came before the painting and PSR came twelve years before Toy Boy. And, if PSR is nestled perfectly in the number five notch of the gender volume control of a perfectly realized rose, Toy Boy is nestled nicely between six and seven. So much so that it opens as pure PSR, only taking on a masculine shape as it steps out of the twilight of the opening, gradually becoming woodier and more aggressive. Mosschino are heroes for this one. My first application was on the back of my hand and I remarked to my fiancèe "if it had more projection, it would be a ten out of ten" But then I applied it to pulse points after a shower Ten out of ten I weep

I held off on this for so long because of what I had heard online and then one day I saw it for $40 and thought what the heck! So I bought it. Turns out that this my favorite scent for myself. I love it. Yeah it can be unisex and I had a lady tell the woman standing next to me that she smelled amazing. The woman replied with, “I’m not wearing any perfume, it’s this gentleman next to me.” Well, it started a conversation and I ended up scoring a date with the lady. That’s right, this scent got me a date. I’ve been creeping on this site for a while but this parfum got me to make an account so I could rate it. Is it safe for a blind buy? No. It’s not going to be for everyone. It just turns out that floral scents, specially rose, smell great on my skin and this one lasts a loooooong time with great projection. I’ve gotten more compliments wearing this than any other scent I have in my collection of almost 100 scents. I recently went back and bought a second bottle because this has became my signature scent. It’s also one of those scents in which people will remember you. I can say nothing, show up somewhere and come back the next day and people will point out that I was there the day before. The women who work at the stores I go to all remember me because of it and they all comment on how good I smell. It’s not a loud fragrance but it’s noticeable enough to where people wonder “what’s that lovely smell?” Try it before you buy it and for the love of god don’t make it like 1 million to where everyone in the world is wearing it. I enjoy it being unique, dark and sexy.

I originally purchased this scent in 2021, pre-reforumulation, on a whim from Superdrug—I still remember the cashier's nose wrinkling in disgust, companioned by a frankly unprofessional request that I opt for something more palatable instead. Smelling of dusty potpourri, sex-addled pepper, and wet rose decay, it soon became my signature clubbing scent. Long days spent toiling over a graduate thesis on religion were transfigured indistinguishably into longer nights pressed against sweaty strangers in London warehouses, and I'd stumble into the frigid bright of the morning and back to the library still reeking of a mixture of Toy Boy and whatever I'd been drinking too much of just to do it all over again. I would agree with a previous comment that this scent is for the brooding and the avoidant, but also the pretentious, for when you think you're the most complex-but-brilliant guy in the room owing to all that time spent pouring over esoteric texts, chainsmoking in the rain, and jacking off. It was a peculiar phase of my life, and I'm certainly not as cool or intelligent as Toy Boy made me think I was, not by a mile. But if you want to feel that way, it can get you there. This is a scent for the loneliest person in the club. Others can intuit your off vibe. It's dark, fetid, and stinks of cheap sex in someone else's bed, but you aren't getting laid; you're below that. You're perched on a damp street corner, morose, contemplative, and blissfully unaware of just how bad things would get. I'm reformed now, but Toy Boy is an eternal favorite. 9/10.

Moschino Toy Boy is an extremely polarizing scent profile. This is not for everybody and thats okay, it will be 50/50 chance if you like it or not. But this fragrance is amazing. Heavy fresh, spicy rose and metallic feel, coated in a nice resin. I always describe it as walking in a greenhouse of roses after a night of heavy rain, and all the roses are coated in a resin. It has a nice watery kind of feel to it which i really like. a little after dry down in the middle i still get rose but more pink peppery vibes and still that watery-ness. once again this is not for eveyone. im a pretty masculine guy and it was still hard for me to wear, but as it grows on me more and more i get a lot more confident with it, but it wont be easy to pull off at first unless youre naturally flamboyant, you might have some problems, I didnt even like it at first but its just so good it naturally grew on me. The performance is honestly amazing, 8+ hours on this thing probably even more, strong on spray and falls about halfway off around 4 hours id say but youll still be noticed, Beautifully crafted and unique fragrance that can be worn year round and lasts long, and incredible for the ~$30 price tag, not like your average designer. Also presentation is very sleek and unique, nice pressurized atomizer which alot of high end designers seem to be forgetting nowadays.. smh. 8.8/10
