Toy Boy 2

Blind bought from an internet retailer which I have no problem with since I love the original Toy Boy fragrance. Just got Toy Boy 2, sprayed once on my forearm, and I like it. First impression is leather. Smells like leather. If I was more sophisticated maybe I could pick out the other notes but to me they come together to give the impression of leather. I have the feeling it's best for cool to cold weather which is pretty much over for Florida. I'm disappointed Toy Boy 2 hasn't been available in the US during winter 2025 which means this fragrance is probably going to sit unused till winter 2026. How does it compare to Toy Boy? Toy Boy 2 is not the polarizing fragrance that is the original Toy Boy. It's not a fuck boy scent. Toy Boy 2 is a mature vibe. Edit: Second wear and I can make out the separate notes. The opening is punchy and dark but the drydown softens and makes the fragrance more versatile to wear. It's nice, mature, masculine. It's like Narciso Rodriguez for Him Bleu Noir but doesn't smell like it. Edit: I'm in love with the drydown. It's creamy and luxurious with a soft spice that comes and goes. The opening is harsh by comparison. Tom Ford Black Orchid Reserve similarly also has a creamy and luxurious drydown, but the two fragrances do not smell the same.

This smells phenomenal! I knew I had to test and eventually get my hands on this, from the first time I read the notes of Toy Boy 2. I didn’t know what to expect when I tested it, but I was surprised that it smelled so different compared to the first Toy Boy. The opening is very strong, fresh and spicy-sweet but after around 1 hour, the scent profile transforms into a more soft, smooth and woody scent which I love. Some hours after testing this, I already got compliments by my girlfriend. I definitely detect the coffee accord, but it is very subtle - it is freshness, spices and wood that dominates in this scent. I also smell some dark chocolate and leather in this fragrance, even though it’s not listed in the notes? The performance and longevity are also INSANE. It lasts for the whole day, on my skin at least and if I apply this on my clothes it lasts for several days, what's not to like? Is Toy Boy 2 more unique and groundbreaking than the first Toy Boy? The honest answer is no, probably not - but I still prefer Toy Boy 2 over the first one, since it is more masculine, darker, sexier and the notes in this juice are just overall more of my taste. This is the perfect fragrance for date nights/night outs, for the colder days or autumn and winter. 9/10

Toy Boy 2 is a woody, spicy, and amber fragrance. Its opening is very spicy with pronounced notes of cardamom and nutmeg, lasting for about 10 minutes. After that time, while the spicy notes remain, a woody and coffee accord begins to emerge, adding more character to the scent. As it dries down, the fragrance acquires some slightly balsamic and ambery tones, but the predominant accords are spicy and woody. This new version of Moschino's Toy Boy is different from the original, but just as interesting and pleasant. It has more spice and wood than the original; in my opinion, it's more mature and even sensual. It's suitable for formal occasions, romantic outings, the office, or other professional work environments. I find autumn and winter to be the ideal seasons for wearing it. As for longevity, it lasted about 10 hours on me every time I've tried it, the sillage has been average. I also really liked this new version of Toy Boy; it has a pleasant scent. I encourage you to try it and share your impressions.

Sampled this today on skin and I'm impressed. Good release, not as "revolutionary" as the previous version, but surely a stunner, very masculine woody balsamic. Myrrh note is quite prominent. Sweet but not cloying. Spicy. Coffee note appears more on the drydown, till it becomes a skin scent creamy cappuccino. This is a love from me, go sample it ON YOUR SKIN, wear it if you can. Different from the original androgynous Toy Boy (that I personally enjoy very much too), this is actually a man's man fragrance, not for people that are into the feminine Toy collection from Moschino, so beware of negative comments from women/unisex crowd on this fragrance, it's good practice to check their collection to see if their taste fits yours. If there's such a thing as "cultural appropriation" of masculinity and/or female chauvinism, this fragrance profile's reviews section will have some good examples.

It does kind of smell like something from the Hero line... ...I freakin' love the Hero line. But seriously, it does lean towards Burberry's Hero Parfum Intense but without the leather. And don't worry if you're not a big fan of coffee. It's blended in well and I wouldn't have guessed that there was a coffee note. This could easily be your fall and winter signature, and it's much cheaper than HPI.

Dark, woody, rich and sexy. Opens herbaceous and aromatic followed by spicy leather and woods with a slight hint of coffee flavoured sweetness from the espresso. The drydown is resinous, warm, balsamic and earthy. This is a dense fall/night out scent. This is basically if Black Phantom and Hugo Bottled Elixir had a baby and I'm here for it. Great performance. Love.

Oh my! When did this get announced? I just ordered a new bottle of Toy Boy because I suspect the top notes of my 6 year old bottle have gone flat. I will absolutely gamble on a blind buy of Toy Boy 2. I'd like to see the bottle a different color than matte black. A super dark red would be sick.

What???!!! This is exciting and unexpected. My next blind buy? Likely. I'm hoping Yann Vasnier is back on this one. But, seeing the akigalwood, it could be Bisch?

This is awesome. Smells niche to me. It reminds me of Xerjoff NeoRio or Amouage Royal Tobacco, but more mass appealing, with a hint of coffee.

I completely agree with the previous reviewer. It smells great. The childish bottle is very deceiving. Inside you will find a real elixir.

The longevity is good and lasts approximately 8+ hours on my skin. This fragrance projects poorly though, with about a 6 ft radius for 35 minutes, and a skin scent after. (Depends on skin types) Overall Rating (8.5/10) While it's a unique release by Moschino, it does smell bitter sweet at times and I know the projection for this fragrance just isn't the best for a sweet woody scent. It's definitely suitable for the autunm/Winter Seasons.

I gave this scent every chance. Even applied moisturiser to ensure max projection/longetivity. Initial blast of coffee, wood, ginger, and vetiver. The coffee is at first overpowering and doesn't seem well balanced/blended with the other scents - like layering 2 mismatched fragrances. But coffee quickly softens. After about 5min, it is quite a nice blend of fresh spice and coffee - quite good. Within 15 minutes, however, I found myself having to smell inside my hoodie neckline to try to even detect the smell - it had almost immediately become a skin scent. Maybe I became nose blind? Within an hour the skin scent now revealed the oud. Also, vetiver and slightest ginger and coffee still present... but mainly oud. While this scent profile is not boring-common.... I just feel I could get a million dupes that would have the same profile (that settle into oud skin scent) and better projection. I am going to let bottle mature for a while. If that allows the scent at the 5min mark to linger longer and stronger, then this would be a good (not great) fragrance. Unlikely to rebuy.

It's good, more approachable and wearable than the OG. Herbaceous opening; green, aromatic notes. Becomes leather dominant with grassy vetiver, sweet powdered coffee and vanilla. Has dark, peppery spices in the mid, before oakmoss, patchouli, rich-woods and tobacco linger on skin. Performance is great. Undoubtedly masculine, more mature, ages 25+. All year except high summer, fine day or night. Reminds me of a few things, Elie Saab L'homme and Sauvage Elixir spring to mind.

This is very interesting perfume. Dark, slightly sweet, with absolutely NO coffee, which is great cause i hate coffee note in perfumes. It is woody, slightly ambery, with oud and myrrh. The only problem I have is that it is a bit heavy, and due to this heaviness, i don’t think i could wear it. But i like it, very niche scent even though it’s not niche perfume

I just got a hold of this perfume today. This is a very mass appealing perfume. A safe buy for everyone compared to Toy boy 1. It is really woody but I don't smell much the coffee notes but definitely this is an okay perfume. I'm still biased as I prefer the Bold toy boy 1 even though it was a slow burn until I liked it.

Mine arrived today and my first impression is that start like a Hero line fragrance, maybe the Parfum one, more smooth and synthetic. The thing that most grab me attention was the coconut/cypriol vibe. It is a good woody fragrance, worth to pay a discount price, probably will stay around the $50 soon

I prefer the smell of this one over the original Toy Boy but it doesn't feel as special (they smell completely different). Reminds me a lot of other designer fragrances.

Spicy cozy scent. Nothing like original. Reminds me a bit of gris charnel, but more potent.

It’s interesting how Moschino decided to make this a clearly impactful OUD scent - that being said it is just not my kinda scent to wear. It does have some great quality/performance and versatility to it but I would much rather choose Moschino’s Toy Boy.

If you smelt Khamrah Qahwa this perfume would smell weak and not very original. Qahwah combines akigalawood and coffee so much better than this.

Akigalawood in shampoo, akigalawood in makeup, akigalawood in hamburgers, akigalawood everywhere. seriously, this is lame, seeing the success of bois imperial and ganymede, every company under the sun tries to copy... however i will still try this in the store if i get the chance, despite the original being disgusting, i hate rose and i have very low expectation from this, as with every designer, that somehow always smell the same regardless of what notes they put in it

Disappointment in a Teddy Bear I received a tester of this fragrance, and I must say I’m glad I didn’t spend money on a full bottle. While the packaging is cute, the scent itself is a huge letdown for me. It’s way too aggressive, with some strange metallic and overly floral notes that feel suffocating. I definitely wouldn't buy this – it’s just not for me, and I believe there are much better men's fragrances available in this price range. 5/10

An innovative concept for a men’s fragrance, combining coffee and spices, but the execution is bad. The result is strange, synthetic, and annoying, lacking smoothness or cohesion. Interesting on paper, but uncomfortable and difficult to enjoy in practice. 2/10

Wait a minute? These notes look NOTHING like the og Toy Boy notes. Very weird. I'm tired of these designer brands trying to always create oud fragrances. They just smell mid. Not even rose? The OG Toy Boy was a heavy rose fragrance and to see no rose in this is disappointing. Wow Moschino.. I will no longer be wearing any of your fragrances! I hate this brand, i hate oud (in designer perfumes).

I love Moschino perfumes, but this one is sadly the worst release they've ever had. It smells chemical, suffocating and it reminds me of an AXE drodorant. Not only is it nothing groundbreaking, but it is not even descent. Very big expectations, but ended up very dissapointed.

Develops into something that could fit quite easily into the Maison Crivelli lineup. Makes sense since Jordi Fernandez, who did this, did some work for MC as well. Safraleine, Akigalawood, something vaguely reminiscent of Cuir Infrarouge and Safran Secret. It's a good scent.

A very nice deep smooth fragrance for cold days. It reminds me of Guerlain Ideal Parfum a bit. I agree with one of the comments saying the first association is leather. Coffee is almost non existent. It's like what AI would imagine what coffee candy tastes like. Don't expect realistic coffee whatsoever. And it's needless to say it's entirely different from the original. It's on the safer side, but I think for the price it's an option worth considering

Used a full bottle of the original so I can say I know it pretty well. The new one has the same peppery-spicy undertone (the type that almost make you sneeze) The similarity end there pretty much, this one is more woody-vetiver dominant, from opening to drydown. The opening might be a little polarizing, a fun coffee/ spices combo. Lasts for days. People say “it’s not as unique” as original but this is still a pretty edgy, unique, modern, perfume.

Toy Boy is one unique fragrance. Strong, unapolagetic. A beautiful perfume. Soapy, woodsy, rose. ROSE. 90% comments here never owned Toy Boy and that is easy to see. In fact, 60% here never had real perfumes: the Fartaf Community and Baris Gorner. Anyway, let's have some hopes for this. The first one was shockingbut good and a real perfumery creation. Fingers crossed and let's hope for the best.

The First Class smoking room onboard the RMS Titanic.. That's what this smells like, or that DW warm tobacco pipe scented candle.. Quite Interesting! mildly warm & spicy, woody, leathery, earthy, and slightly aniseed'ish or a hint of licorice. Nothing like the original, and why should it be? but still.. I think we were all expecting a futuristic version of the original.

@dadipi The Toy line spans many iterations. Toy boy itself is a continuation of the original Toy, which also shares nothing in common. @eric.cius Please tell me you are being facetious and aren't actually making up your mind about a fragrance that hasn't even been released just because some trolls who haven't even smelled it gave it a low rating.

Got a vial for this Oh this is a banger for fall and winter , colder weather and evenings for sure. Unlike the first Toy Boy (love that Rose), this is a very woody smokey scent thats got a little bit of sweetness Def. adding this one for fall and winter. Its a good one, the more you smell it, the better it gets. Both Toy Boys so far are peak

Still haven't smelled, but by the notes and comments it seems like they really targeted now to the male audience and it's not very close to the original. I'll keep my eyes peeled because I absolutely love and use the original since I find it very unissex and I love the not super feminine rose (which apparently is not here).

Coffee and Cigarettes. The smoke in this is almost hallucinatory. A couple sprays and everything is on fire for a few hours. I have to say- I really love this one. Find myself reaching for it more often than the OG to be honest. Great addition to the collection- woukd recommend if you’re a fan of Jim Jarmusch films.

I'm not excited about the notes. Those are notes that don't particularly appeal to me. But I also didn't know I liked rose and florals until I tried the first Toy Boy, so I'm not going to bash it before release. Maybe Moschino will do these notes in a way that will appeal to me 🙂

Huh. I own and love the original, which is a musky rose scent. So this has me curious. I will say it was an odd choice to not include any rose note at all. Why not just a new name then? Not sure what they're going for with this concept but I will try it out!

Sounds promising! The original is good, but it smells too strong of roses for my taste. This sounds more up my alley, and I've been hoping to love one from this line because of the bottles.

The first Toy Boy with the rose note is almost a masterpiece in its uniqueness even if it doesn’t appeal to everyone. I have my doubts about this new release but we will see.

Toy boy was so unique for a designer male perfume. Honestly the only perfume that turns me on. This is just generic boring sloppy screechy dark. Nothing about this is special

Sounds really interesting hope we get to see this for the fall season. Like the first one a lot it’s one of the better masculine rose note fragrances.

@RC2017 - I agree a wine red version or cosmic orange would be a hit! The note profile sounds very generic i hope this slaps like the OG.
