Parasite

There aren’t any reviews. I only have have a small sample of Parasite, but it brings scenes from the film flooding back to memory. It’s quite green and watery, a little sweet. It starts out with a sunny burst of green—sweet and sparkling. And then that passes quickly, and I get water and perhaps a wave of something like bug spray. And then much more water with fresh floral, but also a dankness, which is the beginning of the “sub-basement” note that becomes predominant. After five to ten minutes, I get another fresh burst that’s almost like cucumbers, but the dank sub-basement smell has settled in, and it’s there to stay. It’s not clean, it’s not dirty—but it’s a permeating mustiness with just a little sharpness to it. And it continues in this watery green musty sub-basement way. Parasite is one of my favorite films, and this perfume is an amazing inspired creation. I will save some of this sample to watch the film. I think this might be somewhat challenging to wear on a daily basis, but this scent is beautiful and addictive—in the way that gasoline fumes and new mown grass are together. Really quite something. I would recommend this to fans of the film and fans of amazing artistry in perfumery.

This is the type of fragrance that makes examining perfume as an art-form fun. It will smell like 30 different things to 30 different people. Each time I (one person... that I know of) smell this on blotter I get something different. The first time I smelled it I got synthetic grape and hot steam/nintendo air aldehydes. At deeper whiff, some sort of metallic iodine-y water-y thing emerges, and the patchouli tinges the whole concoction green. Compare this to the same sort of blood-iodine thing going on in Inexcusable Evil from Toskovat and this what you get here is *Excusable Evil.* There is something sinister in here, but it's also kind of like *hmm kewl relatable.* It feels futuristic and industrial and also vintage and chypre-y at the same time. It's like if you the iodine blood from Inexcusable Evil, mixed it with the stale but raunchy dirty panty thing of Agent Provocateur, and placed in on a block of asphalt where flowers bloom on a grassy meadow in the distance... that is Parasite.

At first spray the florals & aldehides gave me sexy funeral vibes. Then it becomes a little more industrial--like hot metallic air. I'm getting server room on an alien spaceship. This scent sent me down a 30 minute google rabbithole trying to recover this video from tumblr (which I now think may have completely imagined?) of a woman in a latex xenomorph costume dancing on a stripper pole. It's sexy, it's alien, it's a little camp. I wore it on a hot summer day, and as the day wore on (& I got sweatier), this started to become first greener and then sweeter and more white/green floral--coming back around to the funeral parlor vibes. The sweetness is almost a little leathery to me, in a preserved flesh kind of way? But it's more metallic blood than meat. This was surprisingly wearable in the heat and in the daytime, though I think it'd also make a good "going out" scent. I'm kind of obsessed, and can't wait to see how it displays in winter.

Parasite holds incredible tensions within a muted, dreary exterior. Yes, it is watery and green, but it also contains borderline sickening musty and unsettling chemical tones. It evolves but never settles into a conventional set of notes. It lingers on the wearer, coloring (cursing?) them. You’ll wonder: Do others notice, or does this pass as a freshie? This is an emotional narrative statement to experience, the scent conveys the envy, anxiety and resigned misery of the events of Parasite (as well as the staid wit of its presentation by Bong Joon Ho). It’s a sophisticated, subversively offputting scent you might put on to own that you’re having a bad day. Or it might appeal to those who feel so robust they can afford to smell like a sewage-flooded basement mixed with a modern mansion’s empty chrome kitchen. Truly challenging and brave, without raising its voice.

this is one of the most realistic/natural smelling perfumes ive smelled so far. the opening is very damp basement like, but quickly transforms into a beautiful, sun-warmed meadow in the middle of a forest scent. the aldehydes and grass notes in this are stunning. im in love. this is the perfect summer scent. its SO realistic. i can smell the trees, the pinecones, its cold and warm at the same time, like a forest the day after it rained heavily, now basked in the sun on a sweltering summer day. so beautiful. so nostalgic. the reference to the movie can only be perceived in the few opening seconds of this. i think im going to buy a full bottle of this.

A clever mixture of high class green perfumery mixed with low class wet and dirty aromas. The juxtaposition of moist swamp smell over smooth clean ambroxan makes for an artistic, yet inoffensive wearing. Can't wait to try this out in the warmer weather.

There is a weird unnerving quality to this perfume. What I imagine The Greys (Aliens) would smell like. It’s fantastic.

I told my friend that this fragrance was inspired by the movie of the same name; when she smelled it on me, she said she saw the whole film flash before her eyes That’s-So-Raven-style. To me, this evokes running through a sprinkler and playing on a slip n’ slide on a grassy lawn as a dark thunderstorm looms. I for sure get the water and grass notes, along with something plasticky and synthetic. Pretty mediocre performance in terms of longevity and projection but it really tells a story.

Generic, yet fresh, synthetic turf. It reminds me of a picnic on the football field of my middle school, skipping class with a delinquent friend.

I would say this is quite salty, oceanic and fresh. It's synthetic, but in a good, and high resolution way. Not for everyone, not a people-pleaser. This reminds me of Lobster , which I actually had to give away, but in my opinion, this is way better. I will use the sample I have. If this would be a colour, it would definitely be a very light sky-blue mixed with a synthetic minty green. Imagine a computer generated graphical rendering of kelp. It's light and a little weird. Not for everyone, but easy to use.

grassy tinged with a bitter, punchy herbalness like tea tree in the eyes

yeah it smells fine but how are you going to watch bong joon ho’s class conscious cinema masterpiece that defined an entire century of life under late-stage capitalism and make something that’s just “fine?” give this the treatment it deserves — make it dusty, dirty, twisted. there’s a cruel irony in what’s highlighted here — the manicured lawn and the perfectly kept house sparkle. Never mind the flooding apartment, misfolded pizza boxes, and pisser in the street. I expected poetry and I got a basic green and white floral. get outta here, moth and rabbit. anyone that tells you they’re getting something special out of this is manifesting, not earnest. the gross and synthetic facets you’re smelling are a dime a dozen in 20 perfumes of the same accord — and those aren’t hamfistedly head-shrinking you into thinking about a movie which does the grunt work of rewiring notes’ innate qualities into something referential and therefore (sigh) “artistic.”

Old fashioned. Strange. A bit aquatic. It smelled musty like wet dirt and at the same time, sharp and grassy. It weirdly reminded me of the smell of the store GameStop. Definitely not for everyone.

Wet grass, chemical ozone, white floral and I definitely got a fleeting moment of a stanky animalic like feces after a minute of spraying. Picture this: You are rolling in the grass which your parents treated with some chemical that smells like chemicals you probably shouldnt be rolling in and the sprinkler is on. You start rolling towards the jasmine bush and copped a sniff of something gross and noticed you almost rolled into dog poop, you pass by it though and are safe. You are now under the jasmine bush and section of the other white florals your mum planted. The grass is drier here. You smell pretty florals in the air as you lay in that grass for a moment and take a deep breathe. Pretty much the exact scent process of how this smells. It finished at pretty grassy white florals with a small ozone/air and sprinker water/garden chemical smell. This is in the same vein as Sorcinellis Atomosphere d'emotion collection (the ones with the big silver blob caps) with that synthetic ozonic wet grassy thing and it is not a DNA that I like however this is very very tolerable unlike those. I can't smell the ozone all around me choking me out, only when I sniff it on my wrist do I notice it and it does actually fade out and the white floral and wet grass thankfully does take over it. This is quite nice and if you want a wet grass/fresh air and white floral scent that leans half synthetic/unnatural and half photorealistic/fresh. This would be your guy. Nice summer/spring one, simple and classy and I feel like it is actually office safe because the dry down is making me think this is actually a really beautiful white floral scent now.

Wow...was this not at all what I expected. It is the definition of hard green edges. I applaud Moth and Rabbit for its unique approach. It reminded me of something Zoologist would create...testing the limits of what fragrance means to the person wearing it. It is like lying on a strip of grass after it's been mowed that is next to an asphalt walkway thirty minutes following a heavy downpour. The mixture of rough shorn blades and steamy black takes over. And for me the scent never wavered or developed..it stayed tough, astringent and green...the way the stain on your white pant legs does after you get up from lying in the wet fresh cut grass after its been cut following a rainstorm.

Metallic and disturbing at first but wow after the dry down! There is something so nostalgic about this once it settled on my skin. Edgy, crisp clean and addicting. Somehow dark and fresh at the same time. I love it.
