Update: This is insanely good! Very different though. It does have a bit of a nod to vintage fragrances. The opening is the most challenging part of this fragrance with that mix of coriander, Patchouli, and cloves giving off this licorice tone. But they serve as an important bridge to the mid and base, because when the vanilla makes itself more prominent, this turns into one of the best date night kinda fragrances. There's always something a bit "dirty" about this, and that just adds to this intrigue and enigma of this fragrance. Again, I've never smelled Musc Ravager, so a lot of my descriptions could be a applied to that, probably not a 1 to 1 from what I've seen from other reviews. But on its own, it stands very tall. Like the rest in the Noir line, DO NOT spray clothes, even though they will smell awesome lol! This will stain them. You only need skin for this anyway. This was very long lasting out the bottle on first spray. The projection wasn't as bombastic and I don't think this fragrance was aiming for that. The game with this fragrance is seduction! Its like this Cresendo of the warmest hugs. This is undoubtedly one of their best with Broye (MFK GHS) and Tempest (blend of Royal Oud (never smelled this one) and Kurous minus the piss (I can vouch for this one)).

I've never smelled Masc Ravager or Halfeti Cedar, so this will just be over this scent. So far, this a major win. I'm a big fan of unique scents and this scratches that itch. Major licorice note in the top and it lasts for about 2 hours before switching places with the clove. The clove is in the passenger seat in the opening until the mid when it takes the driver seat moving the licorice to the backseat. If the Bergamot is there, its buried underneath this balsamic nuance likely thanks to the coriander, cloves, and patchouli. There is some musk, but its not popping out in the opening. Maybe once the far drydown hits... There is a comforting feeling about this fragrance. I love this scent already and just sprayed it. Will definitely enjoy the testing process and see how it morphs into the drydown and the maturation process. This is my 2nd Moudon fragrance from their noir line...Elysian was the 1st and that opening is an acquired taste to say the least, but dries down into a nice powdery woody scent.

Definitely smell like halfeti cedar when it calms down, althought there's no Aromatic gradient of notes from the beginning like the Halfeti, But it is the same on the base.

When you are into a balance of smelling spicy and fresh at the same, this perfume is the perfect one for you!
