For thirty years, Thierry Mugler’s range of masculine fragrances had been a dominant force in the field of gourmand perfumery. But after years of quiet reformulations, corporate transitions, and heartbreaking discontinuations, many of us wondered if the bold, unapologetic soul of A*Men was gone forever, especially with the last one carrying full Mugler’s name, A*Men Pure Tonka. After weird flankers like Ultimate and Kryptomint, I can safely say Fantasm is the first Mugler flanker worth checking out in over a decade. As someone who has been Mugler’s fan for the longest time, all I can say is that we are back, baby! TOP NOTES The first spray of Fantasm delivers a burst of bright and energetic surprise. Instead of overwhelming all my senses with dense sugar or heavy tar – vintage A*Men was famous for this – the scent opens with a sharp, sparkling burst of a combination of bergamot and lemon.During my first ten minutes of wearing it, a subtle warmth from pink pepper emerges beneath the bright citrus, and a note that is not mentioned anywhere: a distinct coconut accord which is noticeable throughout the whole life of the fragrance. HEART NOTES About fifteen to twenty minutes later, the sparkling citrus starts to fade, and the main feature makes its appearance: the Chocolat Noir Grand Cru Accord. The smell is not that of a thin and synthetic chocolate syrup; on my skin it smells like high-percentage dark cocoa—rich, slightly bitter, powdery, and very decadent. BASE NOTES As Fantasm settles into its full dry-down after two to three hours, it really connects with classic Mugler heritage. You can get real specific about what you’re smelling here, but all and all, it just smells cheap. After receiving fantasm in the mail, all of the expectations I prepared my nose for didn’t quiet match what I picked up. It’s not strong, it’s not masculine, and it’s not coconut. It’s cheap patchouli and a faint powdery chocolate. Real rubbery and matte smelling. Tire shine smelling. Gonna have to come back and edit after some time, but if you don’t see an edit, the quality remained the same. Edit. If you haven’t seen already, this is now my signature. The more time I spent wearing fantasm the better it got. I never believed in the whole “maceration” theory in fragrances but I guess it’s real because I remember the fantasm I first smelled and it’s not the one I know and love now. At first, I got no chocolate. Very synthetic aromatic sweetness that smelled really rubbery. Very harsh and cheap smelling, and I believe it’s because fantasm really is made of harsh pungent notes like patchouli and sage which in theory should mot mix with a dark sweet chocolate, LET ALONE citrus on top of that. After about a week of getting some circulation into the bottle; wow. This stuff is so edible. The chocolate is oh so powdery and it does have that dark cacao powder I was hoping to get. The patchouli and Sage add a smooth creamy ever slightly leather feel adding great complexity. And the most unique part of it all has to be ther bergamot citrus top note. It’s not at all your typical fresh citrus touch like it is on most if not all fragrances. It adds an aromatic, blanche, ghostly if I dare, musk to the chocolate. This fragrance fills the air in a very light aromatic tone, not at all deep heavy and cloying, which I think is the best part of it all. Fantasm is so wearable. Makes me smell/feel like a man without smelling old, and I wouldn’t put it in the modern masculine category either. This stuff is different. I’m completely hooked. I’ve ordered a second bottle because on top of all this, a men is so limited edition. I have not yet smelled the past flankers, but this is a wonderful introduction to a men for me.

Received this bad boy yesterday and let me tell you, the 5 year wait was worth it big time. Mugler took their precious time and made a solid Fall / Winter banger! It opens up with a quick citrus pop that is barely noticable. The main aroma is going to be that gorgeous double chocolate note they used, blended with the classic patchouli note this line is known for. It's not a milk chocolate smell, but rather a top notch quality pure dark version. This smells very high end and luxurious to my nose and so, so addictive. Although vanilla is not listed as a note, it does seem like they used a tiny bit to balance the bitterness of the chocolate. Is this similair to anything else? I haven't smelled every flanker of the A*men line, but from the ones I smelled up until now, this definitely smells like its own. The best comparison I can make from other fragrances to this would be as if you took the dna style of Scandal Le Parfum, Paco Rabanne Victory Elixir and Phantom Parfum, but made it in the Mugler style of things if that makes sense. Now don't get me wrong, this is not a 1 to 1 or even a inspired by fragrance compared to those. But the ones I just mentioned have a certain comparable scent dna to each other (to my nose it is a coconut type of aroma) which can vaguely be hinted here, but then Mugler thought instead of coconut lets do chocolate and keep the iconic A*men dna (patchouli) present. And I gotta say they really nailed it. I would even dare to say that the average niche snob would also enjoy this craft, since it 100% offers some complex facets to entertain the olfactory senses, but still maintains a mass appeal factor that a lot of people will instantly love when smelling it on you. Final note is that the performance on this is incredibly good, it was still pushing strong after 8 solid hours and after I washed it off you could still smell a vaguely, but surely creamy aroma on skin. I really hope with this, this is gonna be the beginning of the revival of the A*men line. This thing is gonna crush it in the upcoming winter, can't wait! Rating: 8.3 / 10

I am an A Men fanatic. I have year one batch bottles of Pure Malt, Havane, Tonka, Ultra Zest, and Kryptomint. I even have a bottle of the original formulation for A Men (good old green juice and everything). I know the scent DNA like the back of my hand. I’ve found the L’Oreal MUGLER batches of the A Men line (original, Malt, Havane) to be lackluster save for Kryptomint so when they announced Ultimate I decided to skip it. I figured the line to be dead but when I saw Fantasm I decided to try it for old times sake. After months of wear I can confidently say it’s my favorite flanker of the line. This feels like a true successor to the original A Men. Like if Tierry Mugler were to be inspired to make the first ever men’s gourmand fragrance in today’s perfume world this is what it would be. Fans of the line would remember that originally Pure Tonka was said to be a true successor so it’s only appropriate that Fantasm shares many similarities to it. Take the heart and base of Pure Tonka mixed with the fruity citrus opening of Pure Malt and the sweet wet smokey essence of Pure Havane and you get this. There’s a milky coconut note that gives it a creamy powdery vibe that works beautifully as well. People may not like it but it works in my opinion. Really matches the grey bottle, they nailed the feel of the scent with the design. What shocks me the most is how versatile it is. Don’t get me wrong, the scent is warm and projects strong but it’s less heady and syrupy than the other flankers. While the other flankers have a dense sweetness this one is a lot more airy and forgiving in high heat. If there’s one thing I don’t like it’d be that at the end of the scent’s life you can pick up a bit of an amberwood note that I’m not a fan of. It doesn’t ruin the fragrance but I have to mention it. All in all I think L’Oreal really nailed it with this one. Truly an A Men for the modern age.

Im not using designer at this point of my life but when I saw a new Mugler (RIP Thierry) the nostalgia started a fire in my brain melting some of the wires and, to be honest, a burning wire, or ashphalt, a car tire is something I hoped to smell again. Did I? What I am very certain of is it’s a re-release of the original Angel Men. You can call it A*men 2024. They didn’t reformulate the original once again because of some reasons - the fans would complain, some would be furious that Mugler’s body is still warm when L’Oréal already shits on his legacy, and most importantly - they really needed that spot on the New Release on the perfumeries shelves (and the socials). It’s not lactonic anymore, it’s less sweet, and there’s less ashphalt/rubber tires. There’s still some, luckily! But way less. Don’t think this is a citrus fragrance because it ain’t. It’s a creamy, super high quality (the candy I mean) chocolate. Had they made the texture dusty, rugged this would have been a niche release in my opinion. The performance - listen to this. It lasts like an Arabic release - the whole day, but it projects French, i.e. airy, light, lots of sillage but in the air it’s delicate, feathery, not dense. This is sorta linear though, don’t expect smelling something different every thirty minutes. After the initial fresh pepper and citrus it stays creamy chocolate with the patchouli and Mugler’s signature sort of fantasy floss in the base. Yes, the sprayer is the same as it used to be (I love it though, please, never change). This will be my everyday, dumb reach fragrance for the fall and winter and I’ll have a tear in my eye each time I’m gonna use it. Please, L’Oréal, keep the series on and make new flankers but for the love of God don’t make the extrait, elixir, edp intense bullshit. I’m gonna be furious if you’ll effectively tell me I bought a lesser version of Fantasm in six months.

In the vein of a lot of the modern, vanilla, tonka heavy elixirs being released on today's market but with the Mugler A*Men DNA clearly discernible right after initial application. I personally absolutely love this stuff, but I have always quite enjoyed very heavy, thick, sweet and spicy winter fragrances. This definitely has a little hint of Victory Elixir crossed with Scandal/Scandal Le Parfum, and a little 1 Million Elixir thrown in the mix as well. Outstanding longevity, superb projection and sillage that lasts long after you have left the room are all present here with this release. Personally, I think in keeping with the same naming convention that MUGLER has already long been using, this easily should have been named "Pure Elixir" and that would have completely fulfilled everyone's expectations on what a MUGLER A*Men Fragrance of that title would smell like! I truly do hope to see many, many more flankers to come out in this line soon. I hope, if so they will all be solid releases. Edit: A month after initial purchase and a bit of maceration and I noticed a big difference. I did have to order my bottle from France in order to receive it earlier in the US, but I think when I do that, every single time the fragrance takes some time to settle down a bit to really open up. The difference on this one was that the patchouli and chocolate nuances toned down a decent amount while the Clary sage really opened up and now gives the fragrance even more lift and projection than it already had, and it already had above average for both. I still get the coconut feel here and there and along with the sage, it's just perfect. I don't rate it above Pure Tonka for sure, but it is neck and neck with Pure Malt, st least for me!!!!!

I see a lot of people complaining about performance and longevity.. its pathetic sometimes. I can imagine most of the negative comments are from certain people that just bought this thing, sprayed it, and wrote their review in the same day, or the very next, and they were expecting a beast mode 24h fragrance with 2km sillage, without even letting the fragrance ‘macerate’ for a while. You know, spraying it a few times to get the air in and letting it sit for 2-4 weeks? Also, please consider the fact that this is a new release of 2024 around early-mid 2024, its not like an older bottle of whatever it would be that has great sillage and performance. Give it a few sprays, give it some time, its gonna settle the ingredients and its gonna change and give you better performance. My bottle is january of 2024, mines was strong from the start giving me 8h of longevity and good sillage, i left it for 3-4 weeks because i have other scents i obsess over, and this thing got even better. Sweet, chocolatey, patchouli, some people say they dont get citrus? Well i do get bergamot, its not overpowering or anything but its there. I own Bergamask, so i can definitely tell. Easy to wear, very pleasant and sweet, incredibly mouth watering wafts coming in throughout the day. My final thoughts? Well i love this. Try to take the negative comments with a grain of salt, every nose is different, consider my points, and just try it out for yourself. I think the quality is great for the price, considering other designer frags offer way less for a bigger price.

I’m happy about this because I always wanted to love the original A*Men, because all of the notes, the entire vibe and everything about it speaks to me, and it completely and totally sounds like something that would be perfect for me. But the original one always just smelled like musty attic on me. I imagine that it’s definitely just a problem with how it reacts to the chemistry of my skin then or something? Either way, for that reason I definitely wouldn’t have blind bought this one. But testing it in the store, I was pleasantly finding that I didn’t get the musty stank! I’m a patchouli lover, and I get that thick and creamy gourmand type of sensation with this fragrance, for sure. But it’s not as strong and projecting as other fragrances, like a Tom Ford’s Black Orchid or Noir Extreme. I could see myself wearing this to the office, not needing to worry about choking my colleagues out. Silage and projection is great for a while, but it’s not that long lasting, unfortunately. It quickly turns into a skin scent and then sadly, after a good four hours, I REALLY have to sniff my wrist to still get a whiff of it. Honestly, I have a lot of Zara cheapies that outdo this one as far as longevity is concerned. I have to say that longevity was better when I tested it at the store, compared to opening my bottle and wearing it for the first time. So I’m hoping that aging and maturation will help. Edit one month later: longevity is great now!

After spending some more time with this fragrance, I can confirm that I love it. Classic A*Men DNA, coffee and patchouli, with light herbal green notes. Opens with some fresh coconut sweetness, dark chocolate, pink pepper and light citrus notes. In the middle, this gets deeper and seems to be a more potent take on the original A*Men, very dark and dense, woody and seductive. It reminds me of a heavier less sweet version of A*Men Pure Tonka or a sweeter darker version of B*Men without the herbal astringent properties. There are some similarities with Pure Malt as well. Vanilla, tonka, and patchouli seem to be at the base of this one, just like Pure Tonka. Unlike the classic A*Men flankers, this is in an Eau de Parfum concentration and it shows. Longevity is excellent (easily pushing 10 hours on skin, longer on clothes) and projection is very strong for the first few hours. I feel like performance improved after several weeks and the scent profile filled out more. I believe this will sadly be discontinued soon, I saw next to nothing for announcements and advertisment for this fragrance which is a real shame. I didn't even know this flanker existed before I bumped into it on a store shelf. I plan on buying a few backups, I'm sure this will be regarded as one of the better flankers (amongst the likes of Havanne, Malt, and Tonka) in the coming years. If you are a fan of the line, this is a must own. 9/10 release!

This is not like the original. The original was challenging, this is not. Fantasm smells pleasant and I can see why it is compared to many of the more current designer fragrances. This lacks the depth and complexity of the original. I predominantly get a Pina Colada musk from Fantasm. A faint idea of chocolate. Patchouli, barely. Tbh, this smells like a tropical adjacent to the A*Men line, but only slightly like the original A*Men. The closest flanker I would lump it in with is Ultimate. Not because of what it smells like (I actually like Fantasm better), but more because of it's lack of challenge and lighter touch. I still like this a lot. It is well done for what it is. Sadly, I only get a few hours of close proximity and then it's gone. I didn't expect anything to blow me out of the water when I first read about it and decided to purchase it. Anyone expecting this to be like the Pure/Ultra Flankers will be disappointed. It's wild that there are so many votes saying this smells like Pure Tonka. LMAO. Maybe in the slightest whisper. If you have Pure Tonka, you know what I mean. NOTE: We all hated the atomizers on the old bottles. The trick to this bottle, like all the other refillable A*Men bottles is to take the top off and put it back on. Then it will be easier to spray. No need to cut the rubber around the groove of the sprayer to make it work better.

Phenomenal, as a younger guy this scent is a lot more interesting than the classic SWY types for winter. A great introduction into the A*men line for me, in love with the patchouli and dark chocolate, definitely my signature for this winter. Also, the pricing is great, 60 bucks for 50ml and 90 for 100ml. Quite the positive for me considering the insane markups on fragrances where I’m from, so finding this at it’s retail price was great for me. Not only that, but performance is monstrous, 12+ hours. I’ve heard grand tales of the previous A*men flankers and how L’Oréal are driving this line into the ground, and I know some but not all A*men enthusiasts are either disappointed or unimpressed with this flanker, but I hope Fantasm starts a resurgence for the line, either with new experimental flankers going back to their OG philosophy or rereleases of the beloved ones as I would love to try them now as I am now obsessed with this scent profile. Here’s hoping that L’Oréal doesn’t throw this line into the dark again and waits 4 years for a new flanker, even though it is highly plausible, so I made sure to get a backup. In short, I love this stuff.

So I bumped into this online, watched a few reviews and it seemed like something I could get into, so found 100ml bottle for £55 and it turned up today. I already have original A*men, Pure Malt/Havane/Coffee/Energy which are all great frags. Pure Tonka and Wood just hurt my nose, and they never came together imo so I sold them off. Fantasm is an absolute winner. It definitely has the original DNA and smells amazing straight from the off. The patchouli is there as you would expect, but I am getting a lot of the chocolate vibe with the coconut. So good. It’s as if A*men and Pure Coffee had a lovechild with Paco Rabane Pure Xs Night whilst eating a bounty. I’m not picking up much citrus, but thats not a bad thing, I’m just getting wafts of chocolate coconut and spice with the looong drydown on my skin. If sprayed on clothes I have no doubt this would last for an extremely long time. If you want a warm spicy chocolate fragrance with proper character then this will be for you. No doubt they will discontinue it soon like all the others, so grab them whilst they are cheap

This is my first try of the most recent release from the Mugler A*Men line, Fantasm, the first new flanker to this line since A*Men Ultimate was released in 2019. The main notes listed on the Mugler website are bergamot, dark chocolate, and patchouli, so with patchouli being so pivotal to the original, I take it that the dark chocolate is what is meant to stand out and be the most distinguishing characteristic of this particular flanker. I quite love the chocolate/patchouli blend with a touch of powderiness. However, in Fantasm, especially in the opening, I get familiar wafts of Pure Coffee and Pure Havane and especially Pure Tonka, all previous, great, discontinued entries in the A*Men line that are among my very favorites of the line, along with Pure Malt, my very favorite. Overall, though, I think it both stands out enough and performs well enough to be worth buying, especially considering that the retail pricing of the line of $90 for 100ml (EDP concentration) remains, in my opinion, very reasonable in the current market. 8 out of 10

After about 30 minutes it turns to a patchouli +spicy dark chocolate scent. - I sprayed a total of 5 times. Twice behind each ear, twice on the front of neck, and once in front of my chest. The longevity is okay, it lasts approximately 6-8 hours on my skin, and a few day on my clothes. This fragrance projects great too. (Depends on skin types) Overall Rating (8/10) It's a crowd pleasing scent, with very little wow-factor. If you have smelled the original Mugler, you might find this is a bit disappointing to say the least. But if you enjoy chocolate scent, you might enjoy this one. Just great... I tend to really not enjoy of these super sweet copy paste gourmands. All smell way too similar to each other; “Smells sweet but manly” is the new cliché. But Mugler did things extremely different, as they should, took the original Angel, nerfed the patchouli and added this... sickening, sexy, dark dark dark chocolate. This almost photorealistic chocolate note is masterfully done, blended beautifully with the patchouli... it’s so addictive, so sensual. The name of this fragrance on the Mugler’s website is A*men Fantasm eau de parfum sensuelle. “Sensuelle”. I smell this perfume becoming part of my love life. Dark, mysterious, warm, magnetic, is what you get. This is it. I’m in love with a perfume. And now that I’ve become crazy I feel sorry for the acquaintances who I will offense with this perfume on that tiring way back home after a long shift, yeah that’s me wearing A*men Fantasm at 25 C in the metro. I just want to smell like this all the time, someone hold me back.

Mugler is SO back in the men’s fragrance market. Absolutely nostalgic scent, reminds me of the early 2000s when my dad would ABUSE Pure Havanne and more importantly here Pure Tonka! It’s a return to tradition for Mugler. A wonderful gourmand mix of earthy sweet patchouli and chocolate. The sweetness here is so addictive. As it projects off of me I get constant whiffs of a chocolate cake-like goodness that just makes me want to take a bite out of myself. Addictive scent, enormous projection and longevity, and for the price you can find it here in Bulgaria (70$ for 100ml off discounters) this is gonna be a scent im going to be purchasing over and over again to reminds myself of the early 2000s era I constantly yearn for in todays day and age! 10/10 scent, BRAVO Mugler!

Went to Dillards the other day and finally decided on buying Fantasm. I always loved the bottle presentation it’s just really cool, and I also have been looking for a chocolate dominant fragrance for a while. Well i finally pulled the trigger and bought it for a whopping $86, last time I sampled it at the same place it was like $130 I think, but the fragrance gods have blessed me on a lucky day. Smells lovely! Little bit spicy, Semi-sweet chocolate, somewhat earthy from the patchouli, a little powdery, not a lot of citrus but it’s there. Performance is solid I get 9-10 good hours of longevity and 3-4 hours of really good projection. Personally I think it’s pretty versatile I could see myself using this all year around, just not on really hot days. 10/10 in my book

I just wanted to pop in and add an update after have owned this for about a year now. This has gotten SO MUCH STRONGER than it was when I first bought it. I rarely ever reach for it, but when I do, I am always pleased with the wearing. Fantasm has reached classic A*Men flanker status in my opinion. There is a clear progression of scent profile throughout the wearing. It's not as drastic as some niche offerings I've worn, but it definitely sports a few noticeable phases through out the wear I get over 10 hours on skin, days on clothing with huge projection in the first 3 hours, slowly receding throughout the wear. Dark, seductive, unisex, leaning masculine. My wife actually wears this one more than I do. Great stuff! 86/100

First impression review: Blind bought it last week. The first sprays are a bit awkward because of the shitty atomizer. This smells like sweet tar, I noticed passing by a construction site near my university and I realized it reminded me exactly of this fragrance. After settling for a few days the juice was way more stable and it lasted ~10 hours on skin and days on clothes. The citrus top note fades quickly and the chocolate / coconut note come in action. After 5 hours or so the patchouli takes over and that’s the main note left on skin/clothes. The cocoa smell is like bitter sweet 75% dark chocolate. I don’t find it similar to other colognes or even masculine, but that’s how I like fragrances.

I really enjoy this fragrance. It takes the original A Men DNA, and makes it more modern. It borrows some from the original, with a bit of pure tonka. The stand out notes for me are chocolate, Patchouli, and the sage. I also get coffee and tonka bean even though they arent listed. It's sweet, but not too much. Very glad that Mugler decided to do something again with the A Men line, especially since everything but the original is discontinued. I get around 7 hours out of this fragrance, projects moderately. You can spray this on heavy, and it doesn't get overwhelming. Give this one a try. It's a nice change compared to many other designers on the market currently 8.5/10

After reading the reviews I thought that I will dislike this one, but it's quite nice, a like but not a love! Not overly sweet nor gourmandy , has some traces of Amen OG DNA, the chocolate/cacao/patchouli play the main role in this scent, some citruses in the opening but fades really quickly! I do not think it's unisex at all! It works perfectly on a night out in autumn/winter! I am not disspointed at all, I will wear this one when I wanna' smell like a bar of chocolate and someone wants to take a bite! I recommend to be tested first, or go riscky for a blind buy (only if you are familiar with Rabane/JPG's scents). I can't say anything about performance, yet!

A Men Fantasm is a warm chocolatey scent. This smells as if the original A Men is made into a candle because it smells like candle wax melting in the opening. That waxy, creamy and oily aroma you get when you burn a candle is very prevalent here in the opening. The rubber notes synonymous with the original are toned down significantly in the opening. In my opinion this shares similarities with Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal, it has that salted caramel popcorn vibe but Fantasm is more focused on the chocolate and is less sweet overall. Performance is very good, sillage is great for the first 1-2 hours and longevity is about the same as the original.

Love it. This is one of two Mugler frags that I would feel sad if I never smelled again, the other being Pure Havane (it lives vicariously through its clone, Insurrection II Wild). The patchouli actually helps ground the yumminess of the chocolate, so this doesn't smell like a pure gourmand scent; the chocolate is only there to complement the fragrance. As with most good things, it's rightly divisive and will not satisfy everyone. I went with a full bottle, but I recommend others to test first. It's a shame that this very good frag will get caught in the crossfire between some consumers and the L'Oreal Group. Instant fave for me.

I was never a big fan of Mugler fragrances until I smelt this one. It was my girlfriend who introduced me to this scent, which was so good to her she ALSO had to buy it. I find mixed reviews on when this fragrance should be worn. I have been told when I wear this that It gives off coconut vibes, and beach vibes. To me this feels like a warm and cozy scent better suited for the winter, so I guess you could wear this year round if you really wanted too. I really enjoy this scent, and I feel it makes me stand out, which is what I go for when wearing fragrances. It definitely helps that my girlfriend enjoys this one on me.....

7/10 Nothing groundbreaking for sure, especially if u r familiar with the old MAGICAL stuff, but at the end of the day it's a good fragrance..!! Definitely in the opening it reminds me a lot of the A men line.. U can easily detect that chocolate/patchouli vibe, and I dare to say that i can see a mix of the OG/ Pure Malt / Pure Havane in there.. On my skin works really good..longevity is 6+ hours and the silage is strong for the first 2 hours.. After that it becomes more of a skin scent but I could easily took wiffs here and there.. I could smell it even when I took a bath..!! Maybe it's time to buy a full bottle!

I have a love-hate relationship with the original A*Men and my main complaint is that it ends up drying down a bit like baby powder with a certain mustiness that scratches the back of my throat. To me Fantasm smells like a tad darker, tamer and more modern version of the original, minus those two issues mentioned above, made me really appreciate the dna and I quite like it, but does lose some magic in translation from the original. I do notice a big sweet coconut opening that I don't love, but once the patchouli makes itself noticeable in the drydown it's very good and projects quite well.

I don't know why people say that it doesn't smell like original A*men... Original DNA is noticeable, but patchouli is less present and coffee note is gone. Sure there are tons of coumarin and ethyl maltol. Fantasm has slightly aromatic edge, and overall more modern and pleasant scent profile than original. There are also some coconut vibes going on in the heart notes. Chocolate? Maybe, but mostly due to patchouli, still this is patchouli heavy fragrance. If you love Mugler style fragrances, you can blind buy it. For me it's a solid release, especially now when it's under L'Oreal.

I keep hearing that people are getting coconut from this, that's actually the cocoa and patchouli coming together. Think about dark cocoa powder and patchouli, that would certainly smell coconutty. I sampled this at Nordstrom and instantly bought a bottle. I started collecting frags after all of the classic A*Men flankers where far discontinued, glad I didn't miss out on this one. I will write a full review after I have more time with it, it is very good in my opinion. Longevity is very good, reminds me of the Pure Tonka sample I got last year.

This stuff is going to slay in colder weather. It's in the same ballpark as Invictus Victory, Scandal, etc., maybe a little late to the party, but it's got that caramel vibe, only it's more like caramel chocolate. I sprayed it on my wrist and every time I moved my hand to stroke my hair or something, I got this heavenly whiff of somewhat powdery vanilla, and I do mean, HEAVENLY. It lasts long, obviously projects, and is overall great smelling if you're not bored of the genre. It's also different enough to not feel redundant.

My initial thoughts: great cocoa and coconut opening, with some citrus freshness. As it dries down, the coconut becomes sweeter and the patchouli fades in and the clary sage gives it some powdery nuances. I can definitely smell some of the A*men DNA and some resemblance to Pure Havane and Pure Tonka, although I admit this is much lighter smelling than those two. I think it may require a few days of oxidization to really open up more. I will post a more thorough review after a few more weeks and a few more wears.

No idea why people are so high on this as a winter/night fragrance in particular. This is sweet but noticeably fresh and stays that way for quite a while. This is a 100% a spring fragrance above all else and I don't think it'd even get offensive in summer even if it's prob not ideal when it's like 90 degrees and humid. As far as I'm concerned, this is almost too bright and fresh for late fall and winter. Realistically this will do fine for you in any season.

I received this today after seeing it in the shops, A new Mugler always gets my attention (I'm not very tuned in, than I used to be when it comes to new frags) First of all, this is lovely, it takes nothing away from the Mugler DNA The first spray had a whiff of coconut, then a hint of cherry, and tobacco as it dried, then it gets fresher in the drydown It really reminds me of a fresher, toned-down version of Pure Havane, which is no bad thing at all.

Excellent Mugler! If discounted is THE best in the current line. Is not a gourmand, more versatile and can be wear as a daily. I wear this in Spanish weather, German weather and UK weather... it performs and not as a compliment getter but as a "feel good" and do all fragrance. I will definitely repurchase, wish Mugler would bring a Pure Havane alike fragrance, with named parfumeurs. Solid and reliable, pleasant at at all times. A hit! 9/10

this was a love at first sniff for me. kinda feels like it could be a jpg le beau/le male flanker though. its like enjoyin a fat piece of german chocolate cake and some pipe tobacco vibes. I'm wearin it on a sunny day around 75 degrees and there's a freshness to it that makes it wearable outside of Fall/Winter. its not a super sweet chocolate to my nose so I can easily see myself reaching for this all year round. very fresh.

Update on my review. I love the initial spray, and it’s very loud. I will say I do no not like the dry down. Not because it’s bad, but it does not smell like the initial spray, and as mentioned by other reviewers it smells like most designer fragrances today. So I will back track on how good it is. I still like it because I love the Amen DNA. Just sad that the DNA definitely dies down in this fragrance.

I got this for my husband who wanted a chocolate scent, but not overly gourmand and cloying. This is exactly what we were hoping for. I love the citrusy start, I love how it transitions into chocolate, I love the sillage and how it changes throughout the day. It's not overly masculine and heavy. I've heard some people call it "old man" but I don't really agree with that. I'd argue it's almost unisex.

I recently purchased this fragrance and was initially impressed. The scent definitely smells like A*men and has a delightful chocolate note similar to Kryptomint. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for, as the longevity and sillage are horrible. 😩 I could barely smell the scent after only 45 minutes. The initial spray is beautiful, but I just wish it had at least average projection and longevity.

The name that I have for Fantasm is “Pure Bounty”. A lot of chocolate sweetness +hint of coconut (not mentioned in the notes ). Not that bold and different like the old releases. I guess that trend is seen in all : Zest,Mint,Tonka ,Ultimate. It has the Mugler DNA but it’s versatile 🧬 . The patchouli In the dry down somehow brings me memories from Paco Black XS.

I`ve been waiting so long for a new fragrance from Mugler. The whole A*Men line was great so couldn`t wait to try this one. Mugler didn`t disappoint. The new Fantasm is very nice. It has a little bit from pure havane, pure tonka and a bit from the original one. The A*Men line is known for a good performance and Fantasm isn`t an ecxeption.

Absolutely delicious and phenomenal to wear. Not offensive, comfortable on skin, whether you are at home, in office, train, gym or courtroom. It is pleasing for any nose. Safe to buy - even blind buy. It is pricey, but considering the deliciousness, it is worth it. I prefer this over any Dior Sauvage - without a doubt.

Incrivel! Em pouco tempo já se tornou meu perfume noturno preferido. Frasco foda, amo a estrela prateada, muito único... Sinto muita íris, e nem consta na pirâmide, deixa bem elegante, e bem sexual junto com a nota de chocolate. Perfume feito pra comer gente, elegante e sensual. Cheiro do Maridão (Eu).

So it's an a+men cardboard cutout. The scent itself nothing to comment on. Not bad on its own, but gazillion like it on every corner. It's like the new bottle which looks like a children's toy. So not a+men name worthy is all. Expected from corporations to just buy big names and wash them out 💁♂️

This smells like coconut, vanilla, chocolate and a hint of spices. Kind of like a subdued, tropical version of Spicebomb Extreme. Quite pleasant actually. Sillage and longevity is surprisingly good. I do not get any of the citrus, bergamot or patchouli listed in the note breakdown on this page.

I don't have much to say other than I picked up the 50 ml and don't regret it. Smells fantastic gives me some Insurrection wild 2 (pure havane) mixed with old Amen vibes but much more Pure havane than the OG imo. As far as performance, I have no issues whatsoever, lasts a solid 8 hours on me.

It's a catchy fragrance. The smell itself is good but some people will find it too sweet or cloying. The smell is a really sweet vanilla coconut on the dry down. The top note is the same as the dry down but with some citrus in it (fades away quickly). Try out before buying.

Nice Flanker. Close to Pure Havane but different enough. Chocolate sage with the AMen DNA. Not that close to the OG like many have said. I'll have to test it in fall to see if it's worth adding to my collection but overall smells really nice and has great performance

I love most A*Men, including this one! Smells like coconut-chocolate cookie, a bit of freshness to balance things up. About the performance, I've sprayed this inside my wardrobe a couple months ago and still get some random whiffs when chilling on the bedroom.

This is like if you took original a*men, made it more milky, and added coconut to it. Im liking it a lot as thierry mugler is my favorite brand, and this fragrance itself is great. If youre debating over fantasm or stellar get this one.

If we don’t compare it to legendary Pure Malt and Pure Havane, Fantasm is great. Check the releases from 2024 and you’ll see that it’s top notch. It’s just a different era for the fragrances. It’s people pleaser, yummy .
