A*Men Pure Leather Pure Cuir

The patchouli appears less sweet and more earthy, giving structure to the body of the fragrance. In the heart, elements such as caramel, honey and milk try to soften the impact, but far from making it "gourmand" like the other flankers – here, they add creamy depth and a light touch of resinous sweetness, without taking away the protagonism of the leather. Avoid using it indoors or at formal meetings, as it can be invasive. Final Verdict Although I love the A*Men line, I consider Pure Leather to be one of the most challenging to please. Its dense, animalistic and full-bodied construction requires a skin that can interact well with resinous and rawhide accords. It is not a fragrance made to win easy compliments – it is for those who enjoy the darker, almost primal side of perfumery. For this reason, it is a collector's piece, worth exploring for those who enjoy unique sensory experiences. If you are looking for comfort and sweetness, this may not be the way to go. But if you are looking for boldness, texture and authenticity, you will find a handmade masterpiece here. Final score: 8.9/10 (Bonus points for originality and execution, but it loses out on versatility and universal appeal).

Right! I gave my sample a few days wearing to see where I stand with this flanker. I have many opinions about it; if you are looking to buy it, hopefully something here may click and sway your decision. Firstly: This is the CLOSEST flanker to the original A*Men for sure, but this is not to say that PL and A*Men are the same, there are differences, which, to me were significant. Secondly: The leather note is not the leather you get from sniffing the inside of your wallet or belt or expensive leather manbag. This leather, as another reviewer put it, is like tarry black suede, like a really overworked leather, kinda raw/animalic and naughty. To me, this note stuck all the way from the beginning to the end. To me, it was CRAP!! Thirdly: For some reason, this had a really harsh, tarry, incensy opening, which almost made me think of hating the original A*Men, but luckily, I sprayed A*Men on the other arm and I soon made myself relax. I got this harshness, Im guessing from the tar note and the leather note in combination with the patchouli. This stuck all the way into the dry down, getting lighter as it went (but the notes themselves stayed). This was CRAP! Fourth: All of the above equated to a smell that resembled A*Men but with this not so nice/sweaty (kinda fake) leathery note that stuck all the way into the dry down, giving it a really crappy dirty incensy vibe which to me was very off-putting. This to me really made me dislike this flanker. Fifth: Good points was its longevity, it was almost up there with A*Men, I got 12 hours on my skin. Projection was more on the average side, having a >3 foot bubble in the initial 3 hour mark and then really calming down to within a ft to a ft and a half, and in the last 3-4 hours, it was a skin scent. Overall, I sniffed this fragrance without any expectation, and from the word go, I knew this was not a winner in my eyes. I have two samples, one of which I have finished now, Ill give it another wearing in the winter, but for now, I will not buy a full bottle, even if it is only £40, it is definitely not to my preference. My final recommendation is that you try it out, my taste will not be the same as yours so you may love this, just like a lot of people do, but for sure, sample before investing in a full bottle, I did, and I am sooo glad!

This is not for the faint of heart - it might very well be the most radical fragrance on the market. You might think this is similar to A*men, but Pure Leather is loads more funky. It is really out there. I will admit that when I first sniffed this one I was repulsed. I actually muttered something like, "are you serious?" under my breath... but it kept pulling me back. I can see the notes listed above - but I don't really get those... even the leather note here-- I wouldn't exactly describe as leather... it is really rich, really complex -- the most dynamic of all Thierry Mugler fragrances I know. I get a lot of scents from this that are not listed in the notes; after the initial shock - there's a wave of patchouli, a big wave -- this lasts throughout - To me Pure Leather also smells like cinnamon, caramel apple, pepper, ginger and something carnal, feral -- I think it is a sexy smell -- animal and sexual - not for the Faint of Heart. gets a little too sweet for me as it levels off- I could see myself getting addicted to that cracked opening though. Problem is: I don't really think I can wear this one - I can't think of a situation for this fragrance... definitely not a work scent... not a wedding or party scent... my wife things it's disgusting... so not exactly a date scent -- really, if not for that fact that my wife thinks it is nauseating, I could see this being a bedtime/sex scent... guess this one will have to be a home alone scent after all.

This is the real perfume... Having collected Arabian perfumes for almost a decade I am really familiar with this scents off the Arabian Gulf. I used to burn Arabian incense quite a lot when I had it at hand and I used to perfume my clothes with the smoke which lasted some hours. But this perfume is that exact scent that you get from the Arabian incense. It actually has the smokiness and the sweetness that is expect that when burning incense. Like a sugary musky ambery vibe that is very pleasant to the senses. So what do I get out of this scent? I get all the caramel and the sugary notes and I get the coffee and the patchouly and of course the rawhide leather and of course some smokiness to it as well. I really like what I'm getting out of this fragrance. I also get the honey the mints the vanilla The Tonka beans and funnily enough the milk. I haven't tried any of the other fragrances of this line except pure malt which I don't think resembles this one very much. I have let others smelled this perfume and they are immediately sold to the intriguing and lustrous scent. I must say that I am really enjoying this one and I am sad that this and limited edition. I tried this as a 10 mL decant and that I bought from another fragrance collector. The longevity is very good actually far better than most other fragrances and the sillage really is enormous. Edit: Wore this over the holidays, and am getting compliments from family and friends across the board. This smells nothing like A*Men to me. I mean that in a good way. Pronounced top tar note maybe is the only reason others make the comparison in my mind. The tar note is so strong that it reminds me of rubber, which is the biggest complaint others have against this fragrance. I personally think the tar note is fine once it dries down after 15-30 minutes. All I get is a leathery "refined glove" scent mixed with the tar top. The leather note could be better, as it is a little synthetic. Similar dry down to angel men, in that it leads to a sugary gourmandish base a little bit. I am not sure if it is caramel or just sugar, but it is something sweet in the background. There is still leather throughout the fragrance, though it is more toned down after 30 minutes. I like it. I am complimented most by it over Pure Havane and Pure Malt, which I did not see coming. The fragrance is really dark though. Do not wear more than 2 sprays. Sillage: 9/10 Projection: 8/10 Versatility: 8/10 Scent: 10/10 Compliments: 9/10 Bang for Buck: 10/10 (got it for 38 dollars) Overall: 9/10 I personally recommend you try it on your skin first. Apparently this fragrance can rear its ugly head depending on skin chemistry according to other reviewers. A highly recommended "try" from me, though this works well with my skin.

Far and away the best A*Men flanker. I believe "Pure Leather" is actually a perfected version of A*Men, masculine and attention grabbing while less offensive and more mass appealing than its predecessor. Leather is definitely here, but it is far from the leather of Tom Ford or John Varvatos. The leather in this is synthetic and would smell out of place in any other fragrance, but in this MASTERPIECE it smells perfectly at home. The tar note is here for about an hour after first spray, so the nose naive to the original A*Men must be warned to be patient and let this work of art develop. The reward is certainly worth it. Thank a higher power that this was only sold for a short run, as it was never subjected to any dreaded reformulations. This means any bottle that was well cared for will give you excellent longevity (10-12 hours) and great projection relative to the amount of sprays. This is NOT for the new generation of boys and girls afraid to get their hands dirty or smell like anything besides citrus and cotton candy. It takes a certain personality and attitude to avoid letting this powerhouse wear you. Buy this, don't sample it. If you get home and can't handle it then give it to the man your girlfriend leaves you for when you come back to "your" apartment to collect your belongings.

Smells wonderful and personally while I get the leather (not LEATHER like you would think by the name in the way of Aoud Leather by Montale or Tuscin Leather by Tom Ford but like the nice soft leather that you get in the dry down of Interlude Man by Amouage) from this I get more of a more refined and awesome version of the original A*Men of which I was already a big fan. I get a LOT more mint on my skin in the top and much less Patchouli then in the original overall as a whole. The Tar note (That I've always thought was just kinda there to make it more... you know... 'Manly'.) is gone but the fragrance is no less masculine at all, insted it is just much more friendly and inviting. Wow this is just an awesome smelling juice. My wife has always loved A*Men on me since the late 90s when I got my first bottle and I also have Pure Malt, Pure Havane, & Taste of Fragrance and she said this is now her favorite in the line. "Oh yummy... Now THIS is A*Men done right..." Her words, not mine. This stuff is just soooo g'damn smooth. All that being said I am still really confused by the name though. To my understanding they put the juice in with leather to get the scent but I just think they should have called it something different. "A*Men Pure Refinement" works much better for me.

Pure Leather is A*Men done right!; it drops much of that nauseating, headache-inducing, A*Men sickly-sweetness and tar note and is much more wearable. Now, as for the 'Pure Leather' moniker which is arguably confusing to many, including myself, who were expecting this fragrance to be something akin to Tuscan Leather or Golden Boy...well, the leather is there, but it's more subtle and not in-your-face. Still, while better than the original A*Men, there are several A*Men flankers I prefer over this one: Pure Havane, Pure Malt, Ultra Zest, Pure Wood and Pure Coffee. Initially, I was somewhat disappointed since this fragrance didn't fully live-up to it's namesake. However, after wearing it a few times I realized the leather toned-down the obnoxious side of A*Men which makes for an excellent fragrance; again, it's A*Men (very similar smell) but done right! Projection is excellent and this fragrance last for more than 18-hours on my skin (perhaps even beast mode). I love this fragrance almost as much as Pure Malt and Pure Havane...and way more than the original A*Men.

Here I'm siting rather like a pair of new leather shoes :) But not like a pair of simple cheap shoes, a sturdy one and made of high quality leather. Such a great thing ,that this fragrance doesn't smell on me rudely and too synthetic. It's not too loud, very elegant combination of leather and caramel and quite balanced. It has a more masculine character than the original. Imho Leather note is taking a main solo part here and the original A*Men (first version) here is as on back-vocals role. Once you have a good shoe whacked during next dry-down stage the fragrance reminds more and more the original version but the leather note reminds itself from start to finish. Longevity and sillage are moderate. I noticed that the entire line of limited editions durability and strength of smell are weaker. It goes great with leather accessories, under a leather jacket or coat will be very stylish. This aroma definitely an acquired taste and mood. . I don't think this one will disappoint some fans of Thierry Mugler's fragrances. I like this version! Quite unique concoction.

I own almost every AMEN flanker, But I've never had a chance to try this one until now. I was really iffy about blind-buying this after seeing some of the bad reviews such as Pure Leather being the most challenging flanker to wear etc..But I seen a great deal and I grabbed it. The opening has this interesting very animalic note alongside this soft, smooth leather that is barely noticeable, Blended in with the classic Amen dna..It's a type of leather fragrance I've never smelled before..It isn't that cloying punch to the face, leather fragrances you typically think of...But this is still pretty strong & i can see the opening being challenging for some people..It should be called Pure Animal..Or Pure Tarzan. It's very masculine, sexy animalistic vibes. The dry-down is a nice ambery soft leather with the amen dna..I like it. It isn't a favorite, but I like it more then I thought I would..It's a really unique leather fragrance..I'm not a fan of leather fragrances, But I think this is one of the very few ones that are nice.

If you take that herbal, minty quality that the original A*Men had for the first hour or so, dialed it to 11 and made it last the entire life of the scent, that's mostly what you get with this. The sweeter and warmer aspects of the original are toned down and this smells much darker as a result. As the name indicates, it also has a smooth leather note that by itself isn't overpowering and blends in with everything else pretty seamlessly. This isn't the rough sort of brown or raw leather like you might find in other leather scents. Imagine the smell of a supple pair of fine black leather gloves, that's the kind of leather you get here. Honestly I love this, largely because I love that opening to the original A*Men. That was already a unique fragrance, but this takes it to another level. This isn't the kind of scent you wear to smell nice, but it's really quite captivating and the performance is absolutely nuclear. It forces you to stop, furrow your brow and go "wow what the hell am I smelling" but in the best way!

If you are a fan of the original A*Men, this is a must have. Even if you are not, you may enjoy this one. It is different, with the leather opening replacing the polarizing tar note. The leather is not very overpowering though, and I find it blends very well with the A*Men DNA here. As it all comes together, it is less harsh, smoother, and deeper (if possible) that the original. I even get a reminder of Pure Malt from time to time during its lifespan. The gourmand notes come out stronger in Pure Leather, along with mint, as it dries down. The caramel and vanilla emerge unfettered, remaining on skin for hours as a deliciously decadent cocktail. Interesting thing with this flanker: I do not get such a heavy blast of patchouli at any stage: it seems better blended and not so aggressive in this version. I would say that Pure Leather is a smoother, more wearable version of the classic A*Men, but sacrifices none of the performance, and maybe even increases it! Great.

Nice... Those who like leather, should give a try. You wont be disappointed, if you like coco burning with suger kinda smell. Seriously, sweet yet elegant masculine fragrance. I liked original but love pure leather. I agree with Carlosrafael... A Men might be lingering somewhere but pure leather has a distinct identity. Celeria, try on FragranceNet, you might have to try searching for Pure Leather instead of Les Parfums De Cuir. I get a very good projection for first 3 to 4 hours, people standing at 4 feet away can easily sniff that sweet coco and leather. After that it stays close but still leaves a trail. Longevity is good, I get solid 10 hours. If it is sprayed on clothes, you'll smell it after 24 hours as well but I wont suggest as it might get settled in clothes. I have it and definitely keep in my closet. One of my go to juice, my rating: 1. Projection - 7.5/10 2. Longevity - 8/10 3. Smell/Fragrance - 9/10

First let me start by saying that generally speaking, I'm not fond of most gourmands marketed towards women. I can appreciate Angel but it is very difficult for me to wear it. I gave up on it and turned to A*Men instead. It works so much better with my skin and this Pure Leather flanker is even better. Getting past the sharp initial blast, I'm left with a dirty leather patchouli that is rounded out and softened by a creamy caramel, honeyed coffee accord. Very gourmand indeed, something I'm not usually drawn to, but the raw leather and incense ( not listed but I feel it in there) balance it out for me. Perfectly blended in my opinion. My advise to anyone is to not pay attention to arbitrary gendered marketing and just let your nose lead you. Also, don't blind buy this unless you are the adventurous type. This seems to be a polarizing scent which is exactly why I took a chance on it to begin with.

Oh man! I have to take back everything bad I've said about this fragrance last year! I've worn this on a cold and wet day in Bristol. It has been an eye opener. I see why I hated it before, that leather note was not something I saw as being the genuine article, but what I missed by this judgement was the point all together... It an interpretation of leather, leather with A*Men. It keeps the original A*Men DNA oh so well, but it adds a small raw hide twist. It takes away a bit of that tar (but not too much) and gives it a higher level of luxury, which just makes it into an extremely rounded A*Men fragrance, and boy does it sit so damn nicely! I'd call this the sensible A*Men for everyone who found the original a tad too hard/harsh. I think I will finally get a bottle now, and use it in cold Autumn days, and go back to my original A*Men in the winter to keep me warm and cosy :D

After reading the comments, I thought this one would be one of the less good flankers of the TM line. Nevertheless I blind bought it, because I'm such a big fan of Thierry Mugler and the Pure line. In my opinion this is good, even really good! In the opening you do get the tar note ,which is quite harsh. You do get a lot of the A*men, but with a lot of leather though. The tar note stays for a long time on my skin. After Approximate an hour, the tar note settles down and it gets very, dangerously, smooth. Where A*men gets seriously sweet, pure leather stays more woody/smoky-like, which gives it absolutely more class and romance. For me it's a combination between the original A*men and Pure Malt, which is perfect. Pure Malt smells absolutely awesome, but it lacks in projection to me, Pure Leather is more intense to mee, in the opening even more intense than the original A*men.

I bought Pure Leather the day it came out, and I have worn it many times, but I have not reviewed it until today. Pure Leather is a very heavy leather and earthy scent with a slightly wet edge. It does have hints of the original A*Men's Tar note, which is good to smell once again. The initial spray of Pure Leather is a very strong, unashamed and a bit brash of a greeting. Letting you know, in no uncertain terms, that you have unleashed a very masculine leather beast. The dry down does mellow a bit, but not a lot. It stays with you all day and night, constantly remindings you that it is close by. Like most in the A*Men line, I get great projection and longevity on my skin I an see this in any attire, ultra-casual, trendy casual or in a sports coat. Bottom line: If you like Leather, you should try this one. If you like any of the other A*Men lines, you should try this one.

A Men Pure Leather According to legend, Thierry Mugler walked down into the cellars where the original A Men perfumes were cooking and dumped heavy leather cow hides into the vats...and voila, Pure Leather. An amusing story. And yet....and yet..... Somehow, someway...this is exactly what A Men Pure Leather smells like! Rough leather motorcycle jackets, cowhide waterproof working gloves built to last forever, smelly bison leather saddle bags...sprayed with A Men. In one word, glorious. Again this leather is not a smooth Italian type leather. This is rough, opulent, wild, sensual, pungent. Add to this the also pungent characteristics of A Men and you have something trully unique, wild, almost chaotic and yet it works wonderfully. Pure Leather ranks in my top 5 leather perfumes. The fact that it was a limited edition makes it all the more special. A 10/10 for me.

Top notes hit you in the face with a leather strap. At 5 mins the leather backs off and the patchouli starts pumping. For the next 10 mins the patch and leather battle into a smooth mix that I found to be very nice. The initial battle can be concerning and overwhelming as initially I was not so sure this was going to work for me. But as the dry down begins post 20 mins the A*Men DNA kicks in with the caramel smoothing out the patch and leather. The patch dry down is very nice like original A*Men with a hint of leather. If you enjoy the flankers then this is a good addition to the collection to add another option. It's definitely A*Men with leather swapped in for the tar note so if you like leather and don't like the tar note in the original (but liked everything else) then this is the perfect option for you.

Theirry Mugler's pure cuir, or pure leather, is dark, and masculine, yet sweet, and inviting. It's a fragrance for a "man's man"...who's looking to seduce a woman. A general rule of thumb is Thierry Mugler is a master of his craft, like King Midas everything he touches turns to gold. If you don't like this scent there are most likely two reasons why. 1. You are not very knowledgable about colognes, not necissarily a bad thing, maybe you're just now getting into men's fragrances, or 2. You are impatient, and can't wait for the dry down, because once this fragrance has settled it becomes a well designed masterpiece. Like Shreck once said, onions have layers...and most Mugler fragrance's are onions. You have to be patient with them to really appreciate their beauty, in the end your patience will pay off.

The opening on this is absolutely atrocious. Frightening, even. Smells like a hot, sweaty,pissy, bull stable, covered in hay. But about twenty minutes after that, the dry down starts to develop and it becomes a bit more palatable once all that goes to the background. A*men DNA with a raw leather accord is what is coming out -- no sweetness. It's growing on me. But I'd be petrified to leave the house directly after spraying this. Give it a minute, or 30, then it becomes something a bit more wearable, masculine. Definitely unique. If you're into the flankers, it's worth a try. I can see this going well on a rainy day in fall with freshly shed leaves on the ground. Wouldn't make a bad winter fragrance, either. An absolute no go for warmer weather. A solid like.

One word, masterpiece. I bought a bottle of this from Nordstrom's almost10 years ago, after extensive sampling of the fragrances on display. This stuff is strong, 2 sprays max. The longevity could be measured in days and the projection lives up to the term beast mode. Even after a decade, this stuff still smells as strong as the day I bought it. If you love Angel Man, this is the flanker for you. You can still smell the DNA, even the divisive tar note (Which I adore.), with an intense focus on leather. This is a fragrance that the gods would wear up on Mount Olympus. I'm so happy I let it sit at the back of my closet for 10 years and used minimally outside of that first autumn, because years later nothing else compares. This is the apex of the Angel line.

I've had my bottle since the initial launch of this fragrance, and only in the last couple days have I really revisited it and appreciate it. I've no idea how the last iterations of the fragrance were, but my nearly 10 year old bottle smells absolutely amazing from start to finish. At the beginning is a very smoky leather accord, with an underpinning of sweetness which really does permeate throughout. As the drydown comes along, it is more evocative of the original Amen with a nice leather accord, but I think in general this is just much more interesting. It's hard to say but it almost has a fougere-like smell in the midst of all of this, something fresh and green but overwhelmed by the leather and sweetness. I know I'll never part with my bottle.

I use it enough. To sorrow that they are limited editions, consegui two flasks of 100ML.Tiene a note of leather, but synthetic, it is not the note of leather of Carolina Herrera's CH, but it is an agreeable note. Lavender and bergamota initially, less force to the beginning that A*MEN, but rich. Patchouli, candy and coffee are outlined. Vanilla, musk and leather, as notes of bottom. Good alternative of the classic one. Projection and longevity superior to the classic one A*MEN, MORE GIVES 12 HOURS, in my skin. The first application you can turn out to be strange, but it waits a few minutes, sera interesting. HE REMEMBERS, all the skins are different, because of it the diversity of opinions. In my oppinion, Pure Cuir is better that the original A*Men - and more interesting too, for a parfume collector. As others said, the very DNA of the original is present here - but is also present an unforgetable hint of coffe plus caramel plus milk. Very, very interesting! The leather isn't a dominant note; it is more like a subtle sugestion/perception: you know it's here, but you can't touch it. Of course, some will (reasonably) speculate on a similarity with Animale Animale (nothing new, given the fact that AA is prior to A*M). But let's face it: I can admit a kind of "deja vu", but Pure Cuir is - as a perfume - better blended in any way. A very good frag for the winter, that's understood. And a deserved 9+/10.

Another discontinued Thierry Mugler gem. Original A*Men DNA at the base with a refined leather note. This one comes across as darker than the original, especially with the chocolate gourmand dry-down. Very strong and will get you noticed, but I couldn't pull this one or the original off very well. It was more of a scent for just me. A similar modern fragrance I might recommend would be Philipp Plein No Limits Super Fresh. The leather is a bit less subtle, but the chocolate sweetness brings back memories of TM A*Men Pure Leather. This will always be one of my favorites and was my introduction to gourmand fragrances.

The Aim behind this for me is the TM A*men as a perfume. A bit more honey, a bit more powdery... and a bit of everything in it one more time.. on leather. This is 'the smell of beloved woman' that you never saw to spray something on her, but her hair and clothes always smelled wonderful IN A (*) MEN Fashion. Just got a bottle with a 20 anniversary sticker on it and I still feel the effort to kick down all mistakes in fancy bottles with weird smell and color that are on the market nowadays!!! I do not hate others , I just appreciate the existence of this. Perfect TM -Effect!!!

میشه گفت این عطر ترکیبی از بوی عطر اورجینال ای من هست به اضافه بوی چرم بوی چرم تو این عطر خیلی حالت واکسی داره و تقریبا شبیه بوی چرم تو عطر فارنهایته که در واقع بوی مدرن چرم رو میده بوش بیشتر خطی هست فقط در رایحه ابتدایی علاوه بر بوی چرم و کارامل و وانیل و قهوه ونعنای هندی میشه بوی نعنا رو هم تشخیص داد که به مرور بوی نعنا کم میشه و هر چی بوی عطر به آخر نزدیکتر میشه بوش به نسخه اصلی شبیه تر میشه به نسبت بقیه عطرای سری ای من بوی پیور لیدر به نسخه ارجینال نزدیکتر و شبیه تره عطر خیلی خوب و دوست داشتنی هست و از لحاظ دوام و پخش بسیار عالیه

This stuff is goergeous in a cold day, it's a A*men on steroids, even more polarizing, a bit less sweet, but more minty and leathery of course. The drydown is a bit closer to the original, maybe a bit muskier and not as smooth, I prefer this one over the original since it's a bit more daring and mature. The sillage is also really intriguing, smell it up close and it could disturb you but in the air the leather is not as proeminent and it's more of a mint-patchouli-caramel combo. Batman would definitely wear this!

Very unique scent I think. It's like leather with chocolate, mint, milk, gums (yes, gums!) with the most dark modern robotic feel wou'll ever encounter today in the market! Projection and sillage are insane really, i'm in a car going out at night with friends and it fills the interior of it like if it was child's play... Longevity is what you would expect, goes through the next day in your clothes and over 12 hours on my skin. Sillage: 7,5/10 Projection: 8,5/10 Lonjevity: 9/10 Scent: 8/10 Overall: 8/10

One of my favorite A*Men. During the last few weeks I have been revisiting all the flankers one by one, and I can affirm this is the one that is the most A*Men. When I got it maybe 7 years ago it was one of my signatures. I still have half of the bottle full and I am happy I did not empty it then. 7 years later and after having had the pleasure to wear some excellent cuirs I can no longer classify this one in the best of category. It remains a great variation on my beloved Angel Man though. ****(*)

I don’t understand all of the negative reviews around this fragrance. I ended up buying three bottles in gear of it being discontinued. When it’s winter in Missouri and I want to stand out of the crowd in the bitter cold I will turn to this or Fahrenheit. Both have the ability to make my winter days so comforting. Longevity is wonderful. I can easily get 8-10 hours from spraying on my chest. It has the ability to permeate through layers of clothing. Many compliments on this one.

you should look at it as an art, like a complex painting,, '' the longer you give time, the more one you finds'',, Please do not judge right away, please give the masterpieces t 30 minutes before you try to estimate. quality be that as time passes, change the perfume shade and formed into his new totality style. Very sweet dark, caramel, coffee, leather, woody earthy, with wide open and mor like a modern scent. High quality and Very elegant. best regards. 08/10 amazing!

This is a true gem of modern perfumery. That's the key: "modern" perfumery. Accept it on its own terms and it's a masterful work. A leather embrace protects the heart of this version of A*MEN, then laces its way through the caramel and chocolate rather than overpowering the usual A*MEN notes. It's not supposed to be Cuir de Russie or Bandit or any other classic style leather fragrance, so there is no reason to compare them. It is IMHO the best of the A*MEN lineup.

Just like the original with leather. Imagine sniffing a*men while sitting at a shoe store. The patchouli here is toned down. Yes the performance is weaker compared to the original (but still beastly) and somehow, thanks to the leather, its not as sweet and gourmandy as the original. It also is quiet linear. All in all, a good variation if your signature scent is A*men (like ME!) and want something a little different (also polite) on some days.

This is okay if you haven't already got a Mugler fragrance, but it's certainly not the best. A*Men Pure Coffee, Pure Havane and Pure Malt beat this one hand's down (in that order). I have the full range of Mugler frags, but this one - although nice enough - will be used the least (which includes the standard A*Men and B*Men - albeit this one is far better than Pure Shot!). PS: the bottle isn't as good as it looks, as it's just molded plastic.

I was searching for a fragrance for my boyfriend, and the sales lady recomanded me this one. I was stunned! It is the most beautiful perfume I have ever smelled. I sense a powdery leather mixed with incense (even if this note is not listed) and vanilla, and just a hint of patchouli. I reminds me of L'air du desert morocain, but sweeter. In my opinion this fragrance works very well for females also - so I will buy it for myself!

Absolutely awesome. I snagged a 2012 bottle of eBay for the low low. I spray it on a test strip and loved it from the first smell. I wore it today, sprayed 2 sprays. It is now 11 hours later and I can still smell it. Amazing performance. To me this is an uber masculine scent, which I like. I am a dude. And I wanna smell like a dude. I have more amen flankers on the way. I have high hopes for them as well.

Just received the bottle of A*Men Les Parfums de Cuir and have to say that I'm really loving this stuff. The fact that it's longevity is a lot more than I anticipated is a welcome bonus. Totally perfect for a cold winter night (or day, for that matter) as it has a significant warmth to it. See myself grabbing another bottle of this stuff as I will probably go thru the current bottle before winters end.

Even though I have every Mugler A*Men and I knew what to expect from Pure Leather (this was my last from the line) it was big wow. It’s very different kind of leather fragrance compared to "the leather standart" by Tom Ford. It’s strong and there is a lot of caramel and coffee + the signature patchouli. Dark, black and sophisticated, only for cooler weather.

This to me smells mothing like the orginal angel man, no tar this has something really special, it does smell like leather, like the inside of a glove but more. It reminds me of the inside of a big church that airy deep incense smell that lingers in the air after a big mass. Very unique. I own a lot of TM colognes and this one is at the top of the list..

ITs hard to find .I couldnt find it in stores and retail stors.I had found many rare discountinued gems but not this one till finally found this too in a shop where i wouldnt think to have chance to find it there.now with this I have all the rare fragrances from thierry mugler .B*men.Pure Coffee.Taste Of A Fragrance.pure leather.Pure Malt 2009.

Absolutely love this stuff, My friend has just finished his 100ml and looking to get another bottle. This smells amazing, Super silage, Nice and strong and very masculine. I'd say it's a try before buy type scent as I can imagine someone finding this horrible but not us, we love it. If you have a bottle and hate it. Let's chat. A for Awesome!

My signature perfume. Similar to orinal a*men with a litle leather that for sure make the diferense. Not the best learher perfume, butt justthe dose it needs. And hey.... who want to smell like the the couch of a doctor? It is just the perfect dose of leather that was needed.

I love this leather variation of the classic A men. The leather note is very noticeable from beginning to end and provides a comforting aura in the current autumn/winter season. Excellent longevity and sillage after 3 sprays on my chest. Big thumbs up!

This is like the original in a thick fat leather jacket. Love it at icecold days. You have enough with two little spray's. You don't want to make an assault on people's nose. It is not my favourite A*men scent, but it will end in top 3 for wintertime.

This is my favorite men fragrance, People say its the same as the original but my nose can tell the difference and wants the leather note. As far as I can work out Mugler don't make and sell it any more? and I can't find a bottle anywhere now. :(

Perfect flanker of the original, not the same but not too far from it. A toned down flanker of the original with a leather undertone. UPDATE: I think this one is more gourmand than the original, its more creamy and the caramel is more natural.

I like this fragrance. First 10 mins smells like A*men then it dries down to smelling like dark chocolate powder used for baking brownies. Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Scent: 8/10 Overall: 26/30 Make sure you test first before buying.

Unfortunately a production that does not match the quality TM. Where's the leather? It is very discreet, disappears in the composition and becomes simply "Angel". Oh my God! Sorry, I think you do not like to speak ill of TM!
