Angel Eau de Toilette (2019)

I really love Angel EDP (my bottles are all pre-L'Oreal), but it is difficult to wear sometimes. I generally reserve it for very cold winter days when there is no risk of the patchouli heading into b.o. territory. I have struggled to find an Angel, that smells like Angel, that works well for me in the summer. The previous EDT is still to syrupy and heavy for me to wear in summer heat, though I do like it for mild days. This current EDT is finally my summer Angel. The opening is bright and fruity. I don't smell the any of the individual fruits, just a general sweet, slightly tart fruitiness. The patchouli is there throughout. It's not quite the same patchouli as the EDP and it is turned down a few notches. It is still sweet, but much cleaner and fresher. It is still the star of the show in this fragrance, so if you really hate patchouli, test this one out before buying. I do get a light syrupy sweetness, especially as it dries down. I can't tell if it's the patchouli, praline or both. The woods never show up for me. I first tested this in store when it was released. The sales associate sprayed it on my hand. I kept smelling my hand while I was shopping in other stores at the mall. I loved it so much, I went back and purchased it before I went home. I purchased this one specifically to be my summer Angel, but I find it really works well in all seasons. It is strong enough to cut through the cold and smells a bit more crisp on cold day. The 2019 EDT retains a lot of the Angel DNA, but it smells more current and might appeal to people who find the original interesting, but a bit dated for them. Likewise those that have loved the OG for years may find this one boring, since it doesn't have near the complexity of older versions of Angel. I imagine with this release they are trying to attract a new generation that finds the original too challenging. The performance is stellar for me. It lasts forever on my skin,10-12hrs, and on clothes and hair until they are washed. the projexction is also quite strong. It starts as room filling for the first couple hours then settles a little. For most of the wear it still projects well outside of arms length. Because it projects so well, I tend to keep the application a little on the lighter side which doesn't affect the longevity for me. I have found that the Angel flankers that have been released since this one, smell more like flankers to this fragrance than the OG. When I smell Nova, the Croisieres or Iced Star I don't think they smell like Angel EDP at all. But when I smell them side by side with the 2019 EDT I can pick out similarities. The change in bottle design that came with this release was very welcome. I love that it is still the same iconic star, but is free standing. I am even happier that they have kept this change for all of the subsequent releases.

It is what the EDP failed to be. This is amazing and one-of-a-kind. The patchouli is intense at first and there is a sharp, almost minty scent (the Angel DNA), like these blue mint old fashioned candies. All this lasts mere seconds and it quickly becomes smoother and creamier as it sits on the skin, and then the silage is a beautiful, "watery" creamy praline-patch, green apple scent with the crisp peony in the background and the sweeter, fruity notes developing at this later stage. It changes quickly on the skin, so you wont wait 15-30 mins to get to its sweet core. The red berries in the middle are genius, they become sweeter and blend so well with the praline, as the peony starts to fade. They dominate the fragrance and completely take over as time passes by, along with the woody base and a hint of the green spicy-fizzy essence of the patchouli (more detectable when I smell up close, more discreet at the projection). Sweet and fresh with a subtle gourmand touch, delicious blend. Beautiful for summer and spring time. I need to mention this, I always get the 1oz bottle cuz I believe its one of these perfume that may go bad in the bottle. Longevity is not great, I agree with the other reviewers, I wish they created this composition in an EDP but I love the experience and its different stages from opening, middle phase and drydown. The silage is Thierry Mugler quality though. Update: what makes this last longer and intensifies it is pairing it with a blue/airy BBW's body mist (not a scent with a strong personality). I paired it with Midnight Swim which is too plain on its own, spraying Angel on top of it. It def complements Angel. Also how it compares to Reb'l Fleur. They both have patchouli and red berries, similar vibe for sure. Reb'l Fleur is creamier due to the tuberose/coconut (too creamy, it can be nauseating to me), fruitier/sweeter (peach), and its sharp opening (plum is sharp) is still lighter than Angel which stays sharp abit longer, is more crisp and fresher (peony, green apple) and has intense patchouli/praline. I prefer Angel in this league, it has more character.

I have had a love affair with the OG for decades. Angel didn't just show up in the perfume world, she invented Gourmand. She's iconic, she changed the game. She's the original diva, the blueprint, the Godzilla of Chocolate-Patchouli. She doesn't do "light", she doesn't do "maybe", she doesn't do "subtle". She does "I will cling to your coat for three winters and haunt your ex". She's not universally loved but is universally noticed and unapologetically yours. She's loyal to the point of being unhinged and she's reserved for those of us who are not afraid of perfumes that have a personality disorder. I'm absolutely convinced that she would survive an apocalypse. She's the perfume equivalent of a friend who would turn up with a shovel, help you bury a body and then ask if you want to go to brunch. She commits harder than any perfume in existence. She's the ultimate ride-or-die. My obsession with the OG has meant that for years, I have had no interest in purchasing what I considered to be a castrated Angel. However I recently came across Angel EDT at a price that made it hard to refuse. I purchased it thinking that I would probably end up using it as a pretty air freshener. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It's classic Angel DNA but toned down. This is Angel’s well‐behaved, socially acceptable, emotionally stable sister. She’s fun. She’s sweet. She's flirty. She's a fairy that shops at Sephora. It's true that I don't have the same conviction for Angel EDT as my desire for the OG. However, no nuclear fragrance will ever be appropriate for use any time, any place, and so that's what I appreciate about Angel EDT. It will mean that I can now preserve my OG for use in the winter, when it truly shines. I'm glad that I finally gave this Angel a chance, it has a certain charm, and if the OG was too much for you, then this Angel will not haunt your coat for three winters straight :) A crystalline star with a molten heart. A soft beam of light in the Angel galaxy. A gentler way to be cosmic.

I adore this and fell in love when I tested it for the first time, which is rare for me. It is absolutely gorgeous and has great projection and lasting power. It lasts better than most of my EDPs to be be quite honest. The scent lasts strongly on clothing for many days and on skin about 6-7 hrs, turning into a skin scent around 5hrs in which is great for an EDT. I have never smelled anything like this before, it is quite complex and alluring. This is my first ever Mugler purchase, I got the 50mL, I’ve only had it for 3 weeks now and I’m going back for the 100mL as I find it addictive. I’m surprised that there isn’t much talk about this one! Update: I grabbed another bottle of this Angel EDT and I noticed the new one I bought says mfd for CFG, checked batch code and it’s from initial release (2019). I didn’t realize Clarins made this, I thought it was a brand new release from L’Oréal. There are some ingredient changes from both boxes from what I saw. It is still sealed but I will open it closer to when my current bottle is almost done and I’ll update if there are any changes! I couldn’t wait to open the Clarins version so I did last night. Surprisingly, the Clarins formula is not as good as the new one! The juice was blue compared to pinkish colour in my L’Oréal bottle. The smell is what really put me off though. The Clarins was more dull, and sour notes were more pronounced leaving the overall scent very flat. Projection was notably weaker not projecting as much. It was lacking the juiciness and brightness that the L’Oréal version has. The L’Oréal is much more complex, and rounded with a nice balance between the fresh/sweet and woody notes mixed with Angel dna. I’m wondering if those that find this sour tried the Clarins and not the L’Oréal version as they are quite different!

As a certified Angel EDP fan (current formulation) who even wears one spray of it in 93F weather, I'm pleased to note that it does bear some resemblance to the original. However, it is very different from the unfairly discontinued 2011 Angel EDT in the comet bottle- my favourite perfume of all time. This EDT lacks the dark chocolate and the refreshing, sparkling strong cedar of the 2011 EDT and it lacks the chocolate-vanilla sweetness and overdriven patchouli of the EDP. The opening is VERY similar to the drydown of Angel EDP on my skin, just less sweet and earthy. So much so that I think you'd have to at least LIKE the Angel DNA to appreciate this. I was expecting this to be super sweet based on reviews and the notes, but it wasn't- which is great for me. I barely notice the praline. The sweetness is tart and fruity, rather than overtly gourmand. The patchouli is different from the one used in Angel- it's muskier, less earthy and more.... grassy. Thus more wearable in warmer weather. The fruits aren't the sour kind either, they're juicy and refreshing. A few hours later, it seems to lose a lot of it's Angel character. What remains is a musky, barely sweetened scent reminiscent of expensive aftershave. It's almost sexier than Angel (almost!) in a quiet, unisex kind of way. Longevity is 10h+ and no complaints there, as always with Mugler. The projection is quite low on my skin, but you could probably do a few more sprays of this one. I'm a little disappointed that it isn't like the 2011 EDT, but I'm going to give it a couple of wears to find out how I feel.

For anyone wondering what the difference is on the "old" Angel EDT and the "new" 2019 version. Here comes an unpopular opinion: I like the most recent (2019) Angel EDT version more... They are quite similar, but the 2011 EDT feels more like a literal dilution of original Angel EDP with the patchouli almost completely removed from the equation. This actually makes it more office-friendly I guess. So there's that. Performance is also no where near the 2019 version. After a couple hours it turns into a skin scent and I actually start "craving" original Angel EDP, because by then the fragrance smells slightly... incomplete? In this newer 2019 version they seem to have really amped-up the fruitiness. I get an amazing burst of berry/mandarin/apple in the opening that is softened by the praline and patchouli. The performance is also amazing and exactly what your would expect form a Mugler. I sprayed it on to go to an outdoor festival while wearing a denim jacket. When I took the same jacket off of the coat rack four weeks later it wafted the smell of Angel EDT in the air. I have a bottle of the 2011 EDT I am going to finish because its still good for the purpose it serves for me. Which is being a light version of Angel for occasions where I will be in close proximity to people and feel Angel will be too strong. When I finish my current bottle, I am switching to the 2019 EDT.

Oof this is EYEROLLINGLY delicious on my skin. Yes, the classic 'Angel' DNA is in here, but this is lusciously creamy with tart fruits. The weighty earthiness of the patchouli and spicy notes ain't here! Opening on me is a juicy burst of mandarins and green apples. I can almost taste them...So crisp and fresh. Then the scent develops into this velvety, caramelly note that is probably the praline, but that sparkling apple doesn't disappear. Finally in the dry-down, I'm not sure how to exactly describe it, but Angel EDT gets creamier and completely enveloping... I'm actually testing Angel EDT & Angel Muse EDT on separate arms right now. Even though they share the same skeleton, both have different facets. The most significant difference: Angel Muse EDT has a prominent tea-like vetiver note that gets stronger as it dries down on the skin and lacks the lush creaminess of Angel EDT. And obviously sniffing them you can easily pick up the apples versus the passionfruit (not to mention the hazelnut cream note) :) The two are cousins rather than siblings. Both are my top favourites ever from Mugler so far. Angel / Angel Muse EDT are discretely sultry in this untouchable way. Signature worthy scents. Absolute masterpieces and lifetime repurchases for me!

Very seldom do I rave about fragrances but this was an instant love for me. I smelled this fragrance at a local Ulta and instantly ordered a bottle of the EDP thinking that it would last longer than the EDT. Without any knowledge of Angel and its history in the fragrance world, I had no idea how different the fragrance would be compared to its EDT. Upon arrival, the EDP immediately put me off and I couldn't get myself to give it another test. The patchouli was so piercing and heady that I developed a headache within half an hour of having it sprayed in my vicinity. I had to give it to someone else. Eventually I got my hands on the EDT that I had originally smelled and all those good feelings came back. The EDT is absolutely beautiful with its vibrant opening of peony and mandarin. Not at all like any of the standard citrus openings found in other fragrances. It's much smoother. It then develops into a rich gourmand that is intoxicating yet light. The dry down is warm and woody with slight notes of green from the scaled back patchouli. The balance is perfect. My only wish is that it had better projection and longevity. I understand that it's an EDT but it's too gorgeous not to have its own EDP with its notes.

This perfume is everything. I was never a fan of Mugler fragrances. They were just “too much” for me. I think I don’t like patchouli that much. But Angel EDT is heaven. It’s sweet, addictive and comforting. Even though there is no lavender in here, it kind of gives that same calming feeling. Don’t get fooled by the “eau the toilette” in the name. This fragrance is a powerhouse and extremely long lasting. It is more versatile than the Angel EDP because it’s lighter and has less patchouli in it. Did I mention I LOVE this? I got the 30 ml bottle and I wish I got the bigger one. Will see how long this bottle lasts. I will definitely get this again if I run out. Edit: in my initial review I said I didn’t like Mugler fragrances that much because of the patchouli. I heard some YouTubers describe patchouli as “smelling like dirt” so I thought it would be disgusting. One night I was wearing Angel EDT and I smelled my wrist. All of a sudden I got it: that unique patchouli smell. It does smell like “earth” but not in a disgusting way in my opinion. It reminds me of walking though a forest after rain in fall. It’s unique for sure but I like it a lot combined with the fruity aspects of Angel EDT.

If I had smelled this blindly I wouldn't have recognized it's an Angel flanker nor a fragrance from Mugler. It's way more crowd pleasing than that. To me it has a completely different DNA than the original Angel that's all about loudness and dirtiness with patchouli and bitter dark chocolate. I used to own a bottle of the old EdT with the comet looking bottle as well and don't think this new EdT has anything in common with that one either. That's not to say that I don't enjoy this new EdT. Even though the original Angel is one of my all time favorites and I would have loved if this new EdT shared some more DNA with it, I'm actually reminded of another old favorite of mine - the good old Believe by Britney Spears :D I haven't smelled that one in a long time though, but what I can remember is that they both have this fresh sweet (to me tropical) fruit with patchouli and praline. To me the apple in this one is very reminiscent of guava. It's not what I expected but very lovely nevertheless. Also a bit fresher than the typical fruitchouli, which makes this a great summer scent in my opinion :)

This scent is soooo addictive. I'm not a fan of the original Angel EDP. I'd love to smell it on someone else to confirm, but on paper it smells a bit too animalic for me (kind of like sweaty cat p*ss, sorry to those who love it). I randomly decided to smell this to compare it and wow! I was instantly addicted and bought it. It definitely nods to the original DNA but is lighter in notes, and not quite as polarising. I like how someone below described it as a diet version, but at the same time, it is one of my strongest EDTs. My mum smelt it within 2 minutes from the opposite end of my house and came down asking what it is because she recognised it and was surprised I was wearing it. It projects well and lasts well for an EDT imo. I don't get the top notes so much, to me I smell the apple, and strong praline then the patchouli which just gets stronger in the dry down. It's earthy, sexy and incredibly sweet. When I sniff it on my wrist, I'm often found with my nose pressed against my skin cause its soo good. It's become one of my favourite designer scents and a staple in the collection!

on my skin i can mostly sense the notes of praline, peonies and apple, so this smells lovely. the praline makes it smell creamy, while the fruity and floral notes tone it down with an inoffensive juicy fragrance. the patchouli is definitely calmer and it must be there to just put everything together. it’s significantly calmer than the eau de parfum and it doesn’t remotely smell like body odor when i sniff my arms. i like both of them for different reasons, except there’s really nothing to hate about the EDT’s overall scent. i can’t comment on its performance just yet, but i honestly couldn’t care less if its longevity and sillage are both worse than the decade-old bottle of angel EDP that i own. i definitely agree that this smells more of a crowd pleaser, while the old reformulation of the EDP im familiar with has a grungier scent profile. if i were to declutter my inventory of perfumes, i think id get rid of the EDP first. i’m also mildly impressed that its smell is definitely what i would associate with the slight pinkish color that its juice has.

Worth every penny. Stunning and memorable fragrance that is very comfortable to wear. I still do not have the original "Angel" but I should have bought it first. I blind bought this one which was a very risky and expensive experiment. The strongest note on my skin is the praline. Unlike other chocolate scented fragrances and cosmetics, the chocolate note here smells like the real thing. Albeit subtle, the apple note contributes to the fragrance. In the background, there is a hint of red berries. The scent is velvety and slightly powdery. It is truly angelic. Another advantage that justifies the price tag is the longevity. At its best, I can still smell it 10 hours later. It might be soft but it sticks for a long time. Once you apply it, you do not need to worry about reapplying. DO test this before you purchase! DO NOT blind buy this! Unless you are very easy to please. I did test "Nova" and "Fantasm", and they were amazing. The star is surprisingly convenient to use! The pale blue glass filled with pink liquid is very aesthetically pleasing.

After buying this on sale about a month ago in autumn I must now review it. Was not reaching for it that much with the temperatures around 15°C but recently the weather in London has dropped to -4° and all of a sudden I cannot stop spraying this, and overspraying it over and over, even just to sleep in. What a lush scent, and a fabulous price for the performance and smell. It lasts a long time on my skin and projects well enough a couple of hours after being sprayed that I have had a compliment on it. For me I can smell on the opening mandarin and patchouli, and after it dries down the red berries, praline and patchouli. I would still describe this scent as patchouli heavy, slightly spicy and tart on the opening and moving to something softer and a bit creamy on the drydown where it sweetens up. It's a very intoxicating scent and I keep reaching just to smell the bottle. However, two of my girlfriends I have showed it to have not liked it at all, so I don't feel this is a safe blind buy. I think it is delicious, and will repurchase.

The notion that this is "a fresher Angel" is not exactly wrong, but I think "lighter" is a much more appropriate word. Not light as in weight, but as in color: while the original is dark chocolate, screeching cotton candy and outrageously earthy patchouli, this EdT is a pastel dusting of praline and tangy fruits, with just enough patchouli to give it that signature Angel "mystic" quality. To compare this to something else that isn't the EdP, to me this starts from a similar place as Angel Eau Sucrée, but whereas that fragrance is an inert, very dry and powdery confection, Angel Eau de Toilette has a juicy, healthy "glow from within" quality, with the fruity notes staying there pretty much for the entire lifespan on the fragrance on the skin. Also, it must be said that the juice is not really pink in real life, it is basically transparent. I have a 50ml bottle, but from pictures it seems the pink effect is intensified with the 100ml ones. Even then, I wonder why they didn't color it a bit more intensely, it would look so striking!

So much character! I am in LOVE. For being an EDT, it's quite strong and has good sillage. Sweet praline, juicy apple and spicy patchouli combine to give a potpourri-like feel. It isn't too sweet and perfect for spring. Maybe too much for summer if it's hot where you live, but honestly I'd still wear it. I don't really get the orange and the peony softens the earthiness of patchouli a bit, but this is first and foremost a pure fruitchouli. There's something intoxicatingly sweet about it, like an angel. I think a man could pull this off just as well, it's very unisex albeit sweet, especially in the drydown. This is definitely a wearable, wonderful scent if you enjoy patchouli (it's quite prominent here). Scent cloud is very similar to Angel EDP, but much less of the menthol-y patchouli. Overall: 10/10❤️ What an angel! EDIT: I actually find this to be EXTREMELY similar to JPG La Belle (to the point of redundancy in fact). Presumably the apple-patchouli combination is akin to the pear-tonka one on skin.

Sweeter, smoother and less "dirty" than the EDP. At first I get a strong fresh aromatic and patchouli, and it smells a bit icy and cool. Then it begins to get sweeter over the minutes and has an addictive mix of candy sweetness, patchouli-green and woody vanilla. Something about this works amazing on my skin, and it lasts forever too. It's cozy and inviting, yet cool and hard to place. I love it and will highly consider getting it if I can. I just can't think of an occasion I would wear this, but it gives me vibes of someone at college who shows up to lectures, studies hard, is friendly to everyone, but doesn't necessarily use college as a social thing. Someone who escapes just as you want to get closer. I can see this working for any season besides the hottest summer days, but still probably good for summer nights. Also, the drydown of Nina by Nina Ricci is similar to this because of the praline, but Nina lacks patchouli so it isn't so heavy.

I love this so much but it dissapears sooo quickly. In abt 30 minutes its just a memory on my skin. I was so lucky I found this for a very good price, the 30ml was on offer in the UK. For £25 with extra discount at Superdrug, so I quickly snatched up another one as well cause this is GEEEORRGEOUSSS. I am low key obsessed with this fragrance. Why can't it last on me??? So sad. Angel edt somehow reminds me at first of a bookstore in a mall that has a perfumery next door. Or the address book of a sophisticated rich woman. It is sooo unique and to me luxurious. Dry down is not much on me as I said, but a creamy faint memory only. I am curious if they dont sell angel edt in a refill form whats the point of the refillable bottle? No complaints tho, I love the idea of owning them itis like a built in gift with your purchase that says : "youre a mugler girl now". I guess I will just fill these with some other mugler scents.

I’m officially on Team Angel thanks to the current EDT. The Alien DNA except for in Eau Sublime (love that one) is just ok to me. I love the Angel Muse collection, but that didn’t seem close enough to Angel for me to consider myself Team Angel. While I no longer hate Angel, I still have to be in cold weather and a certain mood to wear it. It’s taken me decades to recover from the Angel over sprayers of the 90’s. I was so scarred that I refuse to test any Mugler fragrance for years and years. Plus, the bottles and the ads did not speak to me. On the other hand, Guerlain knows how to get my attention. The EDT, oh the EDT, it’s just beautiful! Angel EDT and Angel Muse EDT are both so easy for me to wear. Maybe too easy. I’m at risk of becoming an oversprayer. 😂 Lesson (once again): Don’t be afraid to try and retry. Don’t write off an entire house because of its pillar fragrance.

Praline, and hint of apple and berry! Its beautiful, creamy, not too heavy~ Not too much patchouli! Its lighter and fresher than the current EDP, which can feel so thick it takes over everything ;; The EDP is so patchouli dominant that its hard to pick out the other notes, but this is the opposite! You can detect the notes so much better in the EDT, and its absolutely yummy ♡ I swear, it gets more blended and smooth the longer it dries down?? It also has a definite scent trail; I can smell it on my arm even when it isn't near my face (in this case, not a bad thing! But I usually avoid scents that project too far, for the sake of avoiding headaches) Flirty, effervescent, and always soft.. It smells like a fluffy cloud, or sweets on Christmas morning~ This is my favorite Angel ♡ Its gorgeous in chilly weather, day or night! Its a perfect holiday scent~

Full disclosure: upon trying the original Angel EDP, I immediately disliked it. I was in the "I hate Angel" camp. Upon trying the 2019 EDT version, my feelings changed dramatically (so much so that I might even be able to go back and appreciate the EDP more after trying this). The opening of my beloved EDT is spicy and somewhat sharp. Within 30 seconds it starts yielding to that gorgeous praline note mixed with slight hints of green apple and tart red berries - the aforementioned spiciness from the opening still lingering in the background. The deep dry-down on my skin becomes smooth and sweet, almost cocoa-like. Intoxicating, but not in a heavy way. This is more than just your average sweet praline fragrance - it has a bite that I find super sexy and intriguing. If Flowerbomb and Angel EDP had a baby...it might smell something like this.

This is just absolutely. Stunning. I love Angel EDP for its complexity and the fact that it was the mother of gourmand fragrances. Based on the reviews I almost didn't order the EDT, but I took a chance and I'm so glad I did! (The descriptions of carmel candy apple really put me off, because I'm honestly not a fan of super basic gourmand fragrances. I like an elevated gourmand only) It truly is the EDP's younger sister, the same beautiful qualities in a lighter iteration. Complete love at first spritz, so much so that I ordered a back-up and will probably get an additional 3.4 oz just because I love it that much. Smells like Angel minus the ultra heavy notes, perfect for warm weather wear (I live in Las Vegas so....) this will be my spring/summer Angel, and I'll save the Angel EDP for the dead of winter.

I love this one. It arrived in Canada a while ago and is a available at the Hudson Bay. Glad it’s now added to the data base. This new version of EDT was an instant like for me as it is fun and easy to wear and still have enough uniqueness and angel DNA to be a beautiful part of that family. It’s sweet ,fresh and fruity with a very soft hazy undertone of praline , the apple note is fresh and fun as well. All in all it is winner and currently my favourite Mugler , have been getting lots of compliments wearing this. I prefer it to the original edt which was too masculine for me as well as too much patchouli . I also prefer it to the EDP as it just is easier and not as much in your face as the original angel which however still remains a masterpiece. I like the pink juice and the stand up bottle !

My bottle arrived today from Mugler USA. Love the stand up bottle, but I was surprised how pink the bottle looks in photos, yet how blue it is in person...not important though and I love how the star bottle stands up on its own :) I have worn Angel almost daily since 1994, and I have never been without a bottle in my fragrance library, even though Angel for the last few years is a shell of its former powerhouse self! 2019 Angel edT is a scent combo of current Angel edP, former Angel edT with some sweet fruitiness added. I do like it a lot, but I would not call it a love. Longevity seems quite poor on my skin (3 sprays almost entirely gone in a few hours), but while the scent is here....it is a sweet, gentler and more friendly Angel. I would rate it a 7/10.

I don't know why I waited so long to try this version of Angel EDT! I tried several times to wear Angel EDP, and although I seem to like it on others, I just can't stand it on me. So I assumed EDT would be the same or would be another patchouli bomb. And I'm also usually not a big fan of fragrances with apple. But boy, was I wrong about this one! This is absolutely amazing! The green apple comes through at the beginning but it's not in your face, more like one of those chocolate-covered apples you can get around Christmas. Eventually, the apple dissipates and you are left with a delicious, enveloping praline. The patchouli is there to give it dept/complexity but it's barely detectable, just a supporting player way in the background. Fantastic fragrance!!

I discovered this perfume right after 2020's lockdown and I've fallen in love with this sweet, classy, and unique masterpiece, so much so that this has become my signature scent, and I have just purchased a 200ml refill for my gorgeous bottle! On me, this smells like sweet praline with tart Granny Smith apples, a sprinkle of red berries and a hint of patchouli... but if it's warm and I sweat a little, I smell of chocolatey and warm apple pie... it's delightful! This scent makes me effortlessly happy and I find myself constantly smiling every time the wind picks up and I get a waft of this gorgeous feminine masterpiece. On me, this lasts for 8 hours and projects for about 2 hours, before becoming more of a skin scent. I love this perfume!

This is the scent i’ve been looking for MY ENTIRE LIFE. Cannot comprehend how a EDT performs stronger than my entire EDP collection. Two sprays have a presence of like 2 meter radius PLUS stays on my clothes for days and on my skin AFTER SHOWERING?!!??! Idk how they formulated this they put some crack on it or idk but this is the best perfume ive ever had and if u wondering if ts smells like the original IT DOESNT. it’s a whole other world of fragrance and i cannot recommend enough, starts sweet and with time it settles down into a kind of unisex sweet deliciousness that is ADDICTIVE. like i literally cannot comprehend how i never came across anything like this before. do yourself a favor and purchase this. with love, Andrea xoxo

Love at first spray. I always thought that Angel bottles are a little bit obnoxious so I always walked past the Angel line. Yesterday I tried it out of boredom and I think I found gold. I have never smelled the OG Angel EDT, so I cannot compare them unfortunately. This is very feminine and soft, I can imagine a fairy tale princess to smell like that or maybe Glinda the good witch 🧙♀️ The only thing is, it smells exactly like something from my childhood and I cannot remember what it was - Was it a perfume? A Classmate? My Mom? An Aunt? A Shower product? Room spray? I would love to know if this reminds you of something from around twenty-ish years ago. Could be anything from rare designer to Avon.

Since Angel is one of my favorite perfumes of all time, I knew I needed this when I discovered it. On me, I really do get the Angel DNA, but where Angel is a very strong chocolate/patchouli on me, this one is a moderately strong apple pie/patchouli on me. That might sound weird or gross to some, but to my nose, it’s positively rich and delicious. I do recommend trying this to see for yourself though, as there seems to be a lot of varying opinions on this perfume. Although definitely safer and more crowd pleasing than the original, Angel EDT 2019 is still a gorgeous fragrance in my opinion, and I love having it in my collection for the days when I want an easier to wear version of Angel.

Most long lasting edt ever (12 hours on me). Very woody and sexy in a versatile way. This is perfect for a signature scent or layer under something else. It leans more cold weather because it's so strong but it's great for anytime except maybe summer. It's best when worn alone or with a fruity fragrance layered on top in the evening. When you're out all day it will last on skin and clothes. I like this way better than the OG edp and I'm not a hater of the edp. I just like this one more the original because it had a super heavy musky sweetness I don't like. This one is better and lasts the same but not as overwhelmingly strong. Everyone compliments me and notices me when I wear this.

This is one of my absolute favorite perfumes. One of my best friends growing up always wore the original EDP, and she smelled amazing, but when I tried the EDP for myself, I didn't like it as much. It felt a little too strong and overwhelming. I came across the EDT version and fell in love. It is very similar to the EDP, but definitely toned down and it seems a little more fresh and light to me. This is one that could be worn year round. This perfume lasts a long time on my skin too! My husband loves it. The smell is so unique it's like sweet and warm, but fresh and fruity at the same time. Absolutely amazing and this is one I will keep stocked in my collection!

OMG, I absolutely love this perfume! It's berry praline, woodsy goodness which is grounded by the patchouli. I'm not the biggest patchouli fan but in some fragrances it works and in Angel EDT it works very well. Every time I wear this perfume, I get a compliment. The last time I wore it, someone said "Oh my goodness someone smells really good." The lady who was with her pointed to me and then said "it is her, I could smell her as she came in. Her perfume is so beautiful!" Great silliage, great longevity and fantastic scent. Win win! I think Mugler perfumes are such good value for money as they are quite unique and really good performers.

Oh my gosh, I love this! I loved the smell of this on paper and I like the bits I've sprayed on myself hours later. It's got a very gourmand quality to me! It's well rounded and a very put-together fragrance, probably a little too put together for someone like me. It's not going to replace Angel Nova as my signature, but I definitely want a bottle of this too. It smells like a dream. It's soft, like layers of sweetness on a very warm and smooth base. Like an angel, literally, if angel feathers had a scent. So comforting! I can just imagine a calm and sweet person with an organized life wearing this. It's not too young, but it's so fresh.

A couple years ago I got a sample of this and fell in love. At one point I had the old formulation and wondered why it smelled so different. I had no idea it was the new (2019) formula that I fell in love with this whole time. It's so ethereal, elegant and beautiful. It has some juicy notes of some fruits with added depth of praline for complexity. It's so hard to describe but this scent makes me so happy. I wish it lasted longer but I'm not too mad because most fragrances dont last on me anyway. When I think of my signature scent, Angel eau de toilette is the one that comes to mind. (Side note, I'm obsessed with the bottle)

I have loved Angel since I first smelled it 25 years ago. But as I've grown older, I feel like it's a bit too bold for everyday wear. That's why I'm so happy to have discovered this gorgeous toilette version. It whispers where Angel shouts. It's definitely reminiscent of the original Angel, but the tart apple and juicy berry notes leap to the forefront here, while the patchouli and creamy praline lingers softly in the background. I still wear the OG, but now it's saved for weekend and cold weather wear. Angel EDT is my new everyday go to and I couldn't be happier. It's extraordinary.

Angel EDT is gorgeous, bright and sparkling. If you love Angel OG, you would surely love the EDT and I love having both (as well as a couple other Angel flankers). The EDT opens beautifully with fruity notes and peony, then the original Angel DNA shines through, but it a more airy, sparkling and light way. You still get the sweetness and earthiness, along with patchouli, but perhaps it would be more wearable for every day for those who find Angel to be a bit too patchouli heavy. I personally think Angel is a masterpiece and the EDT is definitely full bottle worthy as well. 9/10 ❤😍

I smelled this at an airport and fell in love, I usually dislike patchouli scents but it works so well in this perfume, it's an eau de toilette but lasts like an eau de parfum. I have tried the original angel edp and hated it, it was too masculine, strong and sharp, this feels like a lighter, more wearable perfume, much more feminine and delectable, yet it is still so unique and special. I love this fragrance for the colder weathers as the praline and sweetness can be too much in the summer, it is such an amazing scent, my signature in the autumn winter months.

Although I tried the OG Angel back in the day, I didn't buy it - wish I had; I bought OG Angel, after reformulation, a few years ago, but couldn't bear it because the patchouli overwhelmed the other notes and I eventually sold it. I am usually not a fan of eau de toilettes because of their longevity, but after reading reviews of Angel eau de toilette I tried it and it is beautiful. Mostly get the praline, the berries and apple are in the mix and, thankfully, the patchouli takes a backseat. Its sillage and longevity are amazing, and a little goes a long way.

Grown. Sweet yet sexy. I love how lactonic this fragrance is. The original angel wasn’t my thing (wet soil and dirty patchouli..yikes) But this is stunning. A lot less patchouli and it’s not dirty smelling at all. The praline is Delicious, and the apples and berries give it a light fruity sweetness so the praline isn’t heavy. It’s like a bowl of nutty melted semi sweet chocolate with a side of sliced apples and berries ready to dip. The patchouli and woods give it a good amount of depth (not too deep though) so it’s not straight up edible, but almost.

I’ve wanted to have and love Angel since I read The Clique (iykyk) I’ve been working my way up to the edp. This, as others have said, this dials the patchouli back and gives Angel vibes but way more wearable. Earthy candy is a perfect way to describe this, an easy reach when you wanna feel pretty and ethereal. There’s a freshness to it, I think maybe the peony, that’s really nice almost like dryer sheets. Best suited for cooler weather, it can get cloying in the heat. Side note, I wish the juice was actually pink that would be so pretty.

Love at first sniff! Reminds me of the original, but with some core differences. The first is its power. You can tell it's a less concentrated version, which makes it more versatile. The fruits here add a light sweetness that balances the earthiness so well that it makes me want to congratulate the perfumer. It is so well done, even though there will always be people who dislike a fragrance, the quality of the craft is undeniable. I would love to wear this, but I have another fragrance in my heart for the upcoming fall season.

I pulled this out on a snowy day after letting in sit in my wardrobe for a couple months. The chilly weather made it even more beautiful, I fell in love again. And it was already a brilliant fragrance. The praline note was even stronger and the patchouli was dirtier. I noticed the fruit accords stood out more as I could clearly smell the mandarin orange in the drydown. This is a perfume I would repurchase (if I ever use up my bottle in the first place) regardless of price. Now I know I will love the original "Angel".

Im a huge angel fan since 2012 when i got my first angel edp, I was 16 and i used the whole bottle mostly going to school, i loved smelling bold on that age (i was kinda rebel). This year i went to try the edp and edt and I remembered about my teenager years.... Yeah i know its been reformulated but it evoked the same feeling i had when smelling the scent back in those days. Anyway, i've chosen the EDT now because it still evokes the same feeling of nostalgic happiness but without that "in your face" attitude.

I bought this thinking it would've been the summer version of one of my favourite fragrances ever and I was pleasantly surprised, first I don't see this as a summer scent, too warm for that (but ill probably wouldn't care...). Second it takes a certain mood to wear the edp whilst this one can be worn for any occasion any time. I might even go as far as saying that maybe I like this one better than the edp. I usually go for strong scents and this one is definitely not a typical eau de toilette.

This rendition of Angel is absolutely gorgeous. I have to admit that I have never smelled the OG Angel EDT but I do love this. OG Angel is too much B.O. on me and not enough of the gourmand notes everyone else always mutters about. With that said, I do get the DNA of OG Angel in Angel EDT. It's the perfect amount of patchouli, it intertwines with the praline and red berries like a beautiful, smooth song. I admittedly do not smell any of the peony or cedar or orange in this composition.

I loved the scent of the edp, but when I tried it on my skin it wasn’t a match, however the eau de toilette was perfect and I had to get a full size immediately!! Similar to the original but not as intense and heavy, far lighter and sweeter than its counterpart and something I loved to wear when I was dressing in a y2k or girly sense and wanted my scent to embody the look (also huge kudos to mugler for the refillable bottles) <3

DON'T i repeat DO NOT buy it if you expect to get a lighter version of Angel eau de parfum. She's none of that. She's more in the line of Angel Eau Sucree but with prominent apple with warm praline and patchouli in the background. She's easier to wear and can be wear all year round although i prefer to wear her in early summer and spring. On me the dry down is almost similar to La Vie Est Belle, guess it due to the praline note.

I have reviewed this in the past, and I have to admit that I forgot to say a few things last time. Angel eau de toilette(2019) is a beautiful fragrance worthy of being in the Angel line of flankers. It lasts a long as regular EDP's and it has a hint of Mugler's Innocent in it. Well, maybe more than a hint. Either way, it's fruity, woody, and has the iconic OG Angel DNA. This star gets my stamp of approval!

LOVE at FIRST SNIFF Louise Turner nailed it!!! Incredible blend.. so many facets - sweet, fruity, spicy, woody! Yessss the cedar is coming through a bit <3 I'm totally getting airy angelic vibes This is such an underrated fragrance that I never hear about! I can't say enough how much I love this and was not expecting to!!! I have angel edp and several flankers. This one will blow you away. It's elevated!!!

This is my second bottle, finally got a 100mL standing star years after my first small star. The only thing that seems to have changed is the fizzy red berries, they seem to be more muted now. But this is still absolutely divine - the sweet green apple, flirting with smooth praline and deep yet inoffensive patchouli. Mugler is really quite unique with their creations and I am 200% behind that
