Angel Eau Sucree

Okay, so I bought this today in Debenhams in the UK! Didn't know it was released, so I was obviously excited when I had seen as I am a HUGE Thierry mugler fan! The bottle, like most Mugler bottles, is stunning, I like the whole frosted and glazed with sugar feel and look! Stunning bottle AGAIN! So the smell, the smell in this, to me, is nothing like the original Angel, which is good but also bad. People who dislike the original because of the obnoxious Patchouli note, will definitely like this scent, but lovers of the original (like myself) who love the Patchouli, might be a bit disappointed. But in my personal opinion, I LOVE this scent. The best part of this scent is the caramelized meringue! Once the fragrance is applied, the frosted sorbet just attacks! It is gorgeous and soft with a very fruity and fresh kick, which smells deliciously gourmand. After about 30 minutes the meringue comes into play and Jesus, this is where the fragrance is, this section of this fragrance is truly memorable for all the right reasons. This smells so edible and sugary without that cloying feel. It is again, fresh and sweet, with a delectable creamy finish. So stunning. With the base, the vanilla I feels to me like it blends in with the sorbet and the meringue, this what I feel makes the fragrance ever so creamy. And the Patchouli, strangely enough, has very little showtime! Thierry Mugler is usually known for his love of Patchouli, where as in this fragrance, it takes the back seat. Don't get me wrong, you can still smell it there just lingering in the background, but it never really 'shows' itself, which I think in this fragrance is a good thing! It smells unbelievably divine, with a very gourmand feel from the start to finish. The lasting power and silage are very mediocre though, but you have to take note that its EDT. It lasts a lot longer than most EDT's but its shame, because this fragrance is so well blended and crafted you can only wish for me power. But if it was stronger, I suppose it would defeat the object of being a summer fragrance. All in all, this fragrance is so delicious and well blended. Perfect for the people who hate the original Angel. I highly recommend you go smell this fragrance if you can, I gurantee you won't be disappointed.

I love the original Angel. In fact, I am a proud Angel addict so I wanted to branch out. I blind bought Angel Eau Sucree with zero expectations (as any Mugler fan knows to do). The first spray is super tart red berries. In my mind, I was thinking "well, this is nice, but I already have a few fruity perfumes." I do get a hint of menthol but what I think it actually is, is the tart berries interacting with either skin or with one of the perfume notes. The berry sorbet phase (closer to actual tart cran/raspberries sprinkled with just the slight bit of sugar) lasts about 20 minutes on my skin. I am slightly re-writing this review because I had applied the original Angel earlier in the day and I think that affected how I viewed Eau Sucree. This sorbet phase lasts longer than I thought but it is actually quite lovely and crisp without falling into the "fresh" category. I will say this for Thierry Mugler; he has some of the most hyper-realistic notes in modern perfumery for perfumes that are not soliflores. As the berries break up and the creamy meringue rises to the top, you can clearly smell each distinct phase. This is a blind buy that was 100% successful. Eau Sucree does become a quasi-gourmand but more true oriental vanilla at the end for me. This perfume starts out on a cool note and gradually progresses to warm. It never gets hot like the original Angel nor is it a patchouli heavy perfume. Again, I love the original in all it's wonderfully gauche glory and I revel in it, but a new take is good, too. This is more of a cousin to the original than a sibling, Like looking for a family resemblance, if you squeeze your eyes up real tight, you can just barely make out some Angel DNA but not enough to be immediately recognized. While no Mugler fragrance is a "safe" blind buy, if you know you like red, fruity scents, like LPRN Couture, you might want to try Eau Sucree. EDITED TO ADD: LPRN is more Guerlain in that it has noticeable powdery notes compared to Eau Sucree. Eau Sucree is appropriate for almost any day/time/event. I can't wait to try the 2017 version. EDIT: Does anyone else get a "creamscicle" sort of vibe in the drydown? Yum!

The first time I tested this on a paper strip all I got was light, tangy sweat, and I totally wrote it off as being one of the only angel summer flankers that was an instant-yuck. I was in a 'eh, fuck it' mood yesterday so after work I decided to stop at Macy's and give it another chance, this time on my skin and I'm so glad I did! What difference from paper to flesh, it was almost unrecognizable. I'm not a huge meringue pie, or meringue anything fan so I can't really say "oh yes, merengue!" or whatever, but the first blast is very sugary, but not cheap juvenile sugar, youthful yes but tacky sweetness most definitely not. More like maybe a gourmet rock candy sugar from a swanky little mom and pop cafe or something... fancy, indulgent but not sticky or gooey. I personally get no La Vie Est Belle granulated sugar bomb vibe from this. The tangy red berry note probably keeps the sweetness from getting out of control. Then comes the slight sweatiness again, but it's light and actually compliments the rock sugar and tangy berries and adds complexity. This is by no means a mind blowingly intense, femme fatale fragrance and it makes no claims to be. It's sweet, youthful, airy, with just a pinch of dirty and well blended. This is ALL Thierry Mugler to me. Complicated, but not too serious, happy, but in no way ditzy. Somewhat comparable to innocent, but innocent has a bit more of that sweatiness, I find. Oh, and none of the usual citrus/aqua notes you'd expect for any summer fragrance. I really like this flanker and I'm so glad I decided to give it another shot. Just goes to show, you seriously can't know a frag until you've tested on your skin. You just can't.

Uh oh, I might not be buying this after all. I finally got to try it at the mall. I'm a huge fan of the original, but Sucree is just not wowing me. I was completely prepared to shell over the $80, but after smelling the sample, had to tell the perfume counter associate that I'd have to think about it and come back. Oh please let this develope into something I want. It's been half an hour so far and I'm wandering the mall hoping the middle and base notes will kick in and change my mind. It just comes across as stale candy atm :( Edit: ha I ended up buying it anyway an hour later. It's not my favorite flanker, but it's still good. Muglers second best is still better than other companies' best. The fact that Mugler won't be making flankers anymore after this year made me feel more inclined to buy it . The sillage and longevity are nowhere near as intense as the original Angel, so it's safer for work. It's more of a crowd pleaser and less of a "love it or hate it" scent. It does smell much better after an hour or two when the meringue kicks in stronger. I wish they would've toned down the patchouli a little bit, and added more vanilla (I didn't know it was there until I looked at the notes in this site). If the original Angel is a warrior archangel, and Innocent is a baby cherubim, then Sucree is a Guardian (Seraphim) Angel. Edit #2. I'm a huge Mugler fan. But I've never liked any of the scents on first smell. It's always a process as you see above. Now I'm in love with Sucree and will buy a backup. Ahhh you're a genius Mugler!

Mmmmmm... I am in LOVE! This has to be the most delicious gourmand I have ever tried. So glad I got to buy this, since it's a limited edition (why, oh WHY?). This is a REALLY sweet creamy scent. It reminds me a lot of Lancome's "La Vie Est Belle": they are both deliciously sweet and quite heavy, however there's a difference here. First of all, this one has the creamy meringue and the sweet vanilla, but it also has a juicy side from the red berries that "La Vie Est Belle" doesn't have (that one is all about the praliné to me), so there's a twist in this version of "Angel" that makes it both creamy and juicy at the same time. The fragance stays pretty linear, so it's not like the original "Angel" that, at least on my skin, changes quite a lot from the opening to the drydown, but boy, what a delicious linear scent this one is. I must say, this one doesn't smell very similar to the original "Angel", but there's something in it that tells you this is a Mugler, and I really think it's the patchouli. The patchouli base gives more power to this fragance, but it's not as earthy as the one in the original "Angel". It lasts a really long time on my skin and it projects well for a few hours, then it calms down and it stays close to the skin. Don't expect the monster sillage that the original has! What can I say? Just find this baby and BUY IT! If you want to smell like something someone would like to eat you won't regret it. Yummy!

Yeahhhh this is a must-purchase for me. I have always liked Angel but found it challenging to wear. I had a mini that I kept tucked away, whenever I wanted to give it a sniff. I have tried many different renditions and each of them have been good but not wearable for me. Until now. This is just gorgeous. It starts off with a very synthetic but at the same time very true red berries scent, if that makes any sense. I can smell white sugar sitting in the background. After about 30-45 minutes I start getting this beautiful meringue. At some point the meringue and the berries merge and it just smells like some kind of decadent dessert. I can kind of see this as an Angel flanker, I do get just a little bit of the patchouli that it's so famous for, but in the end it reminds me more of Innocent [which I guess is a spin off of Angel? I don't know]. If you had problems wearing Angel but still kind of liked it, you need to try this. If you hated Angel, you should try this. If you love Angel, you should try this [although I would venture to say you will probably be the most disappointed out of those 3 groups LOL]. The infamous Mugler sillage and lasting power is not really there, however. It does last a good 4-6 hours, and the sillage is pretty decent when all is said and done, maybe 1-3 feet of projection. I find this impressive by itself but not quite up to par for TM ;). Might end up buying 2 bottles since this is LE.

I have to share this with all of you! I simply have to! Well,yesterday I was at a perfume store for a purchase,when a beautiful and polite sales-lady approached me,to sample this one on my skin.I have to admit,I am really terrified of Angel !!! Don't get me wrong,there is nothing wrong with Angel,I even like it occasionally on certain people.It's patchouli I am scared of ! When it touches my skin,it turns into an ugly,blood-thirsty monster,ready to attack and suck the life out of me,and everyone around me!Seeing me back and flinch in terror,like a vampire at the sight of Holly Water,the sales lady smiled and said "I know you are scared honey,but this one is different.Just trust me..." Well,I trusted her.Shaking and trembling I let her spray a little on my wrist,and...OMG, this one IS different! This one is an angel indeed!!! Patchouli is polite,subtle and kind-hearted,almost undetectable,and the meringue note is amazing! It literally shines on my skin,so realistic,unbelievable!I don't get a lot of red berries,but I don't care! My meringues are more than enough!Pure bliss!!! Amazing staying power,the sillage is just perfect,this perfume on me is the perfect 10! Don't be afraid of this angel,people!This one is a sweet angel from heaven... P.S. Needless to say,I returned today and purchased it... Lovely packaging,by the way! I love everything about it !

Angel Eau Sucree has now been launched in various department stores in the UK, so is no longer exclusive to House of Fraser. I popped into my local John Lewis yesterday and was given the cutest little sample... It's wrapped in a pale blue striped sweet wrapper and looked too good to open! Anyhow, I resisted opening it until today and totally agree with the reviewer below me. This is indeed very sweet but not in a way that makes it smell cheap or cloying. The sweetness is tempered by the tartness of the berries and the whole thing blends together beautifully. I sprayed this on before my Zumba workout today and it smelled amazing during and beyond my class. To me, this smells like a sexy pavlova... Sexy in a fun, flirtatious way, rather than a seductive or provocative way. I do get that hint of the original Angel (which I also love) but Eau Sucree is definitely much more suited to spring/summer, as you'd expect. My little sample won't last long as when I smell this I just want to envelope myself in it! Very good quality and lasting power for an eau de toilette. A great formulation and for me the best Angel flanker yet. EDIT: I do get the comparison to La Vie Est Belle, but for me Angel Eau Sucree wins hands down.

As an Angel avoider, I approached this fragrance with very low expectations. I have to say this is the best flanker in my opinion. The good: The meringue. This note is so delicious! It was the first thing I could smell and I couldn't stop sniffing my arm. Caramelized, sweet vanilla meringue with an effervescent feel. Also good is the dry-down. Soft, warm vanilla patchouli that even this patchouli hater found lovely. There are only a hint of the red berries at the end of the dry-down. The longevity is also huge and lasted overnight on me, going on 13 hours. The bad: The red berries. Oh my, these are radioactive, synthetic berries that overtake everything for about 4 hours. They showed up about 20 minutes in and were almost medicinal to me. Cherry cough syrup or medicated cherry ChapStik came to mind. If the berries could be dialed back about 90%, this would have tempted me to buy. I do think it will be hugely popular with the masses though as a user-friendly modern take on Angel. That meringue note is to die for, and if I could somehow remove those berries, I would love this! For what it's worth, the bottle wasn't that pretty in real life to me. It was more opaque & matte than in the photo.

My buddy asked if i had made some delicious Pavlova pastry when he came home : "no it is me ". He was sniffing on me like a dog and he just adored it :-) it is a very edible gourmand but surprisingly "fresh". I was afraid it would have been a heavy sweet bomb but it is not the case. On my skin the rasperry plays a very dominant role and this provides a lot of freshness and assures that frosty character. The meringue note mixed with patchouli and tiny bit of vanilla, waaw well done.. It could have been a major "candy" disaster if you read all these ingredients but what you get is a quite refined gourmand which even a non gourmand person could appreciate because it is a skin scent, although the longevity is quite nice for an edt version. It is a flanker but what a personality, i hope they will keep them and not limit it as a summer edition. There are not many perfume houses who are successful in developing good creative flankers but Thierry Mugler succeeds to bring every time flankers you really want to acquire, even if you have the original, keep and rebuy them which is very rare in this flanker over- load perfume industry. Highly recommended version for this spring & summer !!

Thanks Christi , it rattles me how someone is so arrogant and disputes a whole company and continues to make up her own story . it’s really hard to believe that she doesn’t understand the differnt sites and posts and perfume descriptions ,even here on fragrantica under 2017 clearly says the fragrance remains the same but rebottled. I don’t know how much more proof one needs but I guess she does. Here in my city it’s also a known fact when you go to purchase it they tell you , as they should have that information at all the counters Muglers are sold. The opening is a bowl of juicy, slightly acidic red berries heavily sprinkled with lightly caramelised caster sugar. Simply delicious and smells good enough to eat. At this point I am thinking WOW, finally Angel I actually CAN wear and love. Yes, I am definitely going to buy this baby. But then, after about an hour, the initial delicious smell suddenly turns to some musty vanilla, or a gone off stale meringue. Just bleurgh! Such a pity, I almost weep, but I persevere with the fragrance and lo and behold, the beauty returns and lingers on and on and on. Eventually it dries down to light vanilla sugar scent with a teeny bit of patch in a far distance. I was so sure I would buy this Angel, and if the opening notes lasted forever, and the middle notes weren't there, then I would have bought a full bottle straightaway. But now...I am not sure. I still think it is the best and the most wearable Angel (especially for patchouli virgins and original flanker haters) but, could I get past the middle notes...hhhmmmm.....maybe I will try it one more time and then, only then I will make my final decision.

The first spray is soooo tasty, the berries so zingy :-) Still WAAAAAAAY too much patchouli for my nose, still pretty much the main note here when I put my nose to my skin. But I like it. Because: it's not superstrong as a perfume and it wafts around with the red berries and meringue when I don't smell it up close. I will wear for those days when no one needs to nuzzle me. Perfectly work appropriate in my opinion. There really is not much more that can be added in this review as I pretty much agree that's it's a pretty and luscious little gourmand treat for those days when you need a bit of a sweet pick-me up. I get a little bit LVeB, but not enough to add the "reminds me of" above. I would still purchase LVeB if it wasn't my mums signature :-) Good job Thierry Mugler, finally an Angel that I can wear with no problem. (apart from Eau de Star, which in my opinion is not an Angel flanker). The bottle is absolutely stunning. And heavy as a brick. It's opaque so can be displayed! Yay! One lucky blind buy! I'm heartbroken that this beautiful fragrance will soon be gone forever. Stores are running out of their final shipment as we speak. I emailed Mugler Customer Service and begged them to make this a permanent addition to their line (hey it's worth a shot lol). They responded saying that "If the demand for a particular limited edition item is high enough, we may decide to bring it back." Some people have left comments on their official site making the same request as I have. And it seems to be selling out fast everywhere. This is a good sign! Come on people, join me in letting Mugler know that we want this to stay! Email them to tell them to keep this and buy another bottle of Sucree! Some of their previous Limited Edition fragrances have stuck around for a long time due to popular demand....such as the Alien Essence Absolue. Let's hope Sucree is the same way. It's rare for me to buy a full bottle of anything these days since I have soooo many perfumes, so I usually do minis and decants. But I bought a full bottle of Sucree and am about to order backups!

dont be strict, flankers dont always have to be similar with the original stuff :) thierry mugler fumes never fails me, they always have a must-buy stuff in it. this one looks familiar and similar with the other juicy fumes but no, it has a rich side :) just test it and you will understand what i'm talking about. on me it smells very berry and soury side is more obvious than the sugary side. i want to talk about its longevity because every nose are different to detect notes so longevity/sillage is more important at that time. at first i hesitate because it is edt and my skin is a perfume eater so even most of edp disappear quickly. but this one, still shows its soury side on me(after 20 hours). its not a "hello i'm here" fume i think but sillage is moderate(maybe it will increase at spring). i dont know why but i get a little wildness from this smell. like a silent girl but she still gets attention from all of the boys. so on me, longevity: 8/10(consider its edt form) sillage: 6.5/10 smell(for me) : 7/10

I’m in love with you, heavenly blue angel, I’m addicted to you! I first sprayed it last summer, since I can’t get it out of my head, and I was sooo happy, when I got it for Christmas. It’s an amazing composition: rich, creamy, gourmand scent, great balance between the meringue and berries, a bit sour, tart because of the fruity note and sweet at the same time. The drydown is also very nice, there is the original angel scent in it, the sweet-fruity notes blended with patchouli. I think patchouli is the angel’s typical trademark, I can detect and recognize with eyes closed!:) In my opinion Sucrée is one of the best angel flankers, not just a simple sweet scent, like Si or Manifesto or etc. They are matching the current trend, one-sided sweet, linear perfumes, nothing exciting for me. But this sparkling star is different, beautifully structured and individual fragrance. The bottle is very nice, like a dipped in sugar gem. I wish it wasn’t just a limited edition, I need this treasure forever!

Finally I got to try Angel eau Sucree, thanks to ever so generous and lovely Lily2911 :) I'm glad to say that this might actually be the first, and probably also the one and only Angel flanker I would be able to wear! The first spritz had me go ''ut-oh!!'' for a brief moment,... since it is kinda heavy on the (earthy) patchouli that makes the original Angel unbearable for me to wear. But give it a few seconds and there comes juicy red berries out to play, quickly accompanied by something sweet which doesn't really smell like vanilla to me so I guess that must be some creamy meringue. It actually started to smell quite nice,... now if only that patchouli would tone down even more, now that would be perfect... and luckily it does! Give it about 20 minutes and it will turn into a yummy sweet & creamy yet still juicy concoction which also to me smells reminiscent of Lancome's La Vie Est Belle!! I already have LVEB, so I think that even this time I will still not add any Angel to my wardrobe.

Love at first sniff! :D Wow - this is truly a delicious scent that is perfect in every way (in my opinion, at least). It is sweet, but not overwhelming or sickeningly so, it has the patchouli that makes the original Angel famous, but it's subtle in this mix - so I still get a little touch of 'Angel' but not in the same way. The Meringue/Vanilla is simply to die for - smells just like a meringue coming from the oven. The berries are wonderful too and blend in well without taking all the attention from the other notes. I haven't loved a fragrance this much from first use in a very long time. I will be wearing this a lot, as it feels it would suit a variety of events and situation. It's unique from my other gourmands, so to me it's money well spent. My only frustrations? That you can't get a stronger Eau de Parfum (the Toilette lasts ok, but it won't be the one-spray lasts all day sillage-monster of the original) and that it's limited edition - time to stock up!

This one is not bad, but it has nothing to do with the original. On my skin, it smells very similar to La Vie Est Belle. Sweet, but not *too* sweet, even for me, and a compliment getter. Also, it's not boring, though this type of scent is a little common these days. But it's not a wallflower. Good sillage, longevity is alright (about 5-6 hours on my skin but stuff tends to last and last on me so that's nothing special). Definitely a safe buy in my opinion, it's hard to go wrong with this unless you HATE sweet scents, period. Stuff like Pink Sugar makes me gag but this I like. The thing is, LVEB is a bit richer and smoother, and cheaper. So I'd probably buy that one instead. But this one has a way cool bottle so I'm kinda torn :( EDIT: The more I wear my sample, the more I love it. It's my favorite of the sweet-patchouli fragrances. A full bottle is definitely in order :)

If I had smelt this blind, I would have had no idea of its link with 'Angel'- it is that much of a departure from the original and doesn't include the trademark "Angelness" (that accord of coumarin, patchouli, lily-of-the-valley, and musk) found in the original and many of the other flankers. That being said, this is a glorious composition if you're into the "pink gourmands"- because that's what "color" this evokes for me: juicy red berries and vanilla'd cream confection over a base dominated by sensual musk. I sense only delicate touches of patchouli, oud, and amber. So divine! I would have slated this as a winter daytime scent (like Viva La Juicy, Vince Camuto, Cashmere Mist), but honestly I'm wearing it now in summer and am enjoying the heaviness despite- it's really lovely! Definitely grab a bottle if you see one.

Smelled this yesterday and I must point out that it is almost an exact dupe for la vie est belle by lancome. This is just juicier and you can smell lots of cranberry whereas la vie est belle is very thick, syrupy and much heavier cloud of patchouli that is best suited for winter. Quite funnily I actually prefer this, silage on la vie est belle can be suffocating. I can spray this several times and get gorgeous juicyness, this mingles more with chemistry aswell, LVEB kinda just sits on my skin and doesn't really develop. Moreover I do prefer and want both, just with this yyou can get away with wearing during warmer weather though. I also highly recommend this if you like la vie est belle but its too thick and heavy for you - try this, the juicier lighter option.

I am kind of kicking myself for not buying this today. I was on a smelling spree and tested out 5 fragrances, it wasn't easy trying to pick just one. Well, my husband was with me, it was my birthday and he was buying so I kind of let him decide. He didn't care for this an d it bothered him allergy wise. (So I'll go in town and pick it up on my own, lol. I think it was the initial blast that bothered him, he's survive the rest with me!) OMG the berry notes are driving my crazy, they're so zingy, so full of like and zest, wow! They jump right out at you and bounce off the vanilla meringue. I don't know where the patchouli went but its very light. Really doesn't seem like an Angel Flanker at all. Maybe that's why I like it so much.

Guilty Pleasure! I almost feel that this flanker is too young for me. Soooo sweet that it nearly borders on the ridiculous. And yet, I find myself craving it and wishing I would have bought 2 bottles. Sucree 2014 is bold, dare I say, even more so than Angel herself. Today's Angel has been tamed from her original self yet Sucree seems to have taken her inspiration from circa 1992 Angel. Bright, sweet berries and sticky vanilla cream. A monstrous dose of patchouli. There is also something fizzy and effervescent. Happy and uplifting. Tangy and bubbly. I wonder if it's this trick that makes Sucree acceptable to those who don't like Angel. I happen to adore Angel but there really is something special and unique about Sucree 2014.

I already reviewed Eau Sucree, but I had to come back to say that this became a craving to me! Every time I had a chance to sample it I did. One time a SA made me a sample using a tiny screw lid jar. Needless to say, it leaked all over my purse, but my purse smelled SO GOOD! I knew I had to have it. In my first review, I thought the berries were too medicinal & strong. I don't know why, but I don't think so anymore. Yes, there is a slight "mentholness" there, but now I feel that it keeps things fresh & not too syrupy. I still love that crunchy sugared meringue, and I also get a tiny tiny whiff of Baby Magic baby lotion now and then. Just yummy. I am happy to have a full bottle now of this limited edition treat!

@c3c, I think you would be drooling. My experience with Angel EDT was that the red berry note interacted with the pink pepper and it was sharp! Here in Angel Sucree, the opening smelled like cherry syrup (with a slightly medicinal edge) and patchouli, but the medicinal component disappeared within 5 minutes and it then became cherry syrup + patchouli. My nose interpreted the meringue note in the heart more as a "whipped cream" note. The sillage is big and the scent cloud is sweeter than what I smell when I press my nose to my wrist. This is a delectable, sweet, gourmand patchouli with whipped cream and a cherry on top. I do love a dirty camphorous patchouli too, but this is the opposite. This is like dessert.

This is a really fun, cute scent. Beautifully balanced, wearable fruity gourmand. This fragrance is kind of everything that I wanted the Viva La Juicy perfumes to be on me. Invigorating at first with the bright red berries, followed shortly thereafter by a yummy vanilla-esque note(s) that together make something sort of like a fruity lemon meringue on me. I just love it. I can smell it hours later, after the berries have been sort of "hushed" a bit and it settles into a lovely warm truly edible-smelling fragrance without being too heavy, or foody for that matter. It's a favorite of my boyfriend, who cutely remarks that I smell like "candy and cakes" every time I wear it. Definitely would recommend.

My first Angel! After practically suffocating in a metallic cloud testing each and every one, I am happy to say I have finally found the angel that suits me! Very sweet in comparison to all the other flankers, which might just enhance its loveliness for some, while others I can see being off put by its much more wearable approach. I do find it similar to other scents, but I know I like particular scents, whether or not they're the same, each one I do decide to own has its place in my wardrobe. Not sure what that whole thing is about, anyway.. Angel is unique on its own accord, so a flanker of it will be, as well. Soooo tempted to just run right into my nearest perfume counter and grab this!

This fragrance is as beautiful as its bottle! I swear, when I first saw it, I said, "aw! It's tilted, so cute" First sniff, I get mostly fruits (like guava, to me), and some sweet. The combination is mind-blowing, since it then becomes fruits with vanilla and sweet, which almost reminds me of the sweet prada's candy has (like that buttery sweet). After hours, an almost nonexistent patchouli arrives, and all good! This was a blind buy I will always treasure and love. And by the way, I despise original angel, so don't fear this smells like original angel, cause it does not. Also, must mention the perfume sits close to the skin so I respray often.

@ smiler , you can save your money ,all the sucrees are the same. If you like collecting bottles from mugler that’s a differnt storry. However this particular year of bottle is my least favouurte bottle anyways. But rest at peace I asked the Mugler Representatve and she said they are all the same fragrance and the fragrance is now part of the permanent collection due to its popularity. Personally I like sucree but it is a bit of a generic cupcake smell. Very pleasant and gets you compliments. It’s a little sweet for some days but in general I do love it. My new favouurte is the somewhat fresher fruity fair. Pm me of you want my bottle !

I just had to get that out of the way ;-) Just now, the courier delivered the most amazing gift box, all the way from beautiful Greece. Samples, beautiful smellies, photos of a blonde beauty in the sun on the bluest oceans, chocolates, pistachio nuts and treats, all things good and beautiful....just like this perfume. At first blast, I smell mint, which isn't listed, then a waft of Angel (the original formula), followed by a sugary sweet blast, light meringue, absolutely perfect, a light and delicious treat to wear. Summery sugar beauty, that's what this is to me!

Oh Heavens! I am not usually into sugary scents - I like sweet and fruity, but no sugar per se. But this is such a luxury blend of meringue and cherries, there is enough patchouli to ground this fragrance and make it elegant and grown up without taking away from the sweetness and slight tartness of cherries, and the playful vibe of the added sugary sweetness. This little treasure is a modern work of art in a perfume form! Not the most everyday friendly scent if you're looking for something understated, but definitely an all rounder if you're into this type of scent!! Really, really impressed with this!!!

This perfume reminds me of when I was a child at my grandmother's house, it's summer and I'm in the garden going to pick up raspberries... Such a good memory ! It smells exactly like that. Raspberries/Red Berries, but so fresh at the same time ! I don't think of anybody getting sick with this perfume. It is sweet but fresh. Very nice for summer, if you have the opportunity go try it because it is so lovely ! And if you don't like original Angel, I think you could like this one (Personnally original Angel is too heavy for me). The bottle is a very nice iced blue, with sugar sprinkles. I want it for sure !

Meringues! I love meringues! How have I not tried this sooner? I'm getting a patchouli and classic Angel smell, but it's like it's wrapped up inside a cloud of meringue cookie. All powdery and sugary and yum! I think I love it. About an hour in there is a laundry note that I don't mind at all. I like the contrast of clean/sugar/patchouli. Angel is my first perfume love and every time I smell a new Mugler I'm reminded why I was drawn to his blending style. I forgot to mention the berry part. The opening has a clear tart berry note. I think the person who said cran-raspberry described it well.

Alright I'm on the bandwagon, I got a bottle! OMG, I just adore this, so much so that I've been spraying it on a couple of times a day. I'd better take a couple of days off or I'll get burnt out on it. It isn't very often that I find a perfume that knocks my socks off, but here is one. Every time I put it on I discover new things about it: zingy citruses, sparkling lemonade, cotton candy, medicinal cherries, gourmet cherries, burnt sugar, sugar clouds, vanilla milkshakes, anisette, zero chocolate, very light patchouli.

Ok this is nice !!! I bought it on the spot! There are moments I actually dislike the original angel but this one is hard to dislike, it's just so lovely , its sweet but fresh its fruity and oriental. You can smell the individual notes , red berries , caramelized meringue , patchouli and vanilla. I wish they keep these flankers , sad to see it go. I may have to get a second bottle while its available. It has a similarity to the EDT , and it does have that same slight masculine sweat odor as well , but in a good way !

One last thing I wanted to add...Despite the fact that I am now in love with the scent, I'm a little disappointed in the bottle. It looks SOOO much better in the picture. It's opaque and kind of dull in person. I would've preferred to have a transparent bottle so I can see how much juice is left to know when it's time to buy a backup bottle! What kind of voodoo magic lighting was the marketing team using when they took the promo pics? But it doesn't matter though, it's what's on the inside that counts :)

i love this! this is the first new fruity fragrance that impressed me right away. to me, it smells just like a bomb pop right out of the bottle and on a test strip, the patriotic 4th of july popsicles they sell in america during the summer. very tart and sweet berry, really smells like a popsicle! i love it! later it gets creamy fruity vanilla meringue and it remains perfect. this is fruity i can handle. this is an awesome summer scent if you are bored by all the light fruity floral shampoo fragrances.

FINALLY smelled Sucree and wowza, I'm very impressed and happy with this Angel flanker! It's a BIG weirdo when I first spray it on! I smell a STRONG mint/something toothpaste-y note, and it kinda scared me at first. Haha! But then it dries down to warm sweet goodness. I LOVE it, and I think it will be great fun for the holiday season. I'm excited to own a bottle. And what a fun bottle at that. So pretty! Oh, and I have to say, it kicks the summer Angel flankers butts, that's for sure. Haha! ^_^

I am so glad I got two bottles while they were available. I really love this one. Too bad it's not here to stay. I prefer this to the original at the moment but hoping when winter comes I will love the EDP again. This is so yummy and fresh, sweet ~fresh! Like a "berry meringue "! With whipped cream on top. I get constant compliments on this. From young and old , and my girlfriend keeps asking me if she could have my second bottle. I prefer this flanker to the aqua chic in the previous year.

In my opinion one of the most beautiful Flankers of Angel. Ángel Sucrée, this bottle submerged in a sugary sea contains a happier and crispier version of Ángel Edp. The smell is sweet, fruity and vanilla but without being cloying, much more friendly and bearable. The diffusion is discreet but the substantivity on my skin can reach 10 hours. For those who do not dare to use the original Angel, this youthful, flirtatious and sparkling version can undoubtedly become an excellent option.

I hate normal Angel, I hardly stand Liquor or Taste of Fragrance version, but this one is an instant love. Sweet, creamy, fruity, divine. In warmer days welcomes me with splash of red berries, which evolves into something I call "forest scent" ( if you know Airwaves Cassis chewing gum - that's what I'm thinking of ). Long-lasting, fluffy like Flowerbombs and equally sweet, not overpowering, lovely. Hardly ever would I buy perfumes right after premiere but this one was a must.

Im so honoured that i was the first to review the smell of this fragrance. Its so yummy, berries soo intense and juicy. I have the urge to bite chunks out of myself. Meringue and vanilla backdrop to smooth out the zingy berries and a touch of patchouli for that oomph. I honestly hope this becomes a permanent flanker or is at least around for a little while so everyone can stock up. P.s it smells very similar to la vie est belle but la vie est belle is much heavier

I want the full size and will pay retail. (IMO..still a reasonable price point) It's my favorite between Lancôme LVEB & Miss Dior. I even prefer it to the staggeringly over popular, Coco Mademoiselle. The balance in this fragrance is amazing. Not finding a dominate note. (I'm talkin' to you, patchouli) The bottle is stunning. Worth the price for the glass artwork. Dry down won't leave you with that unmistakable Angel scent. I found it mellow, more gourmand

Wooow it really opens up like merinque and sour berries. My man said I smelled like Pick-and-mix candy :) Frosty and sweet opening with a bottom of patchouli. Fresh, sparkling and sweet/sour in a well blended way. Silage and longevity not as amazing as Angel, but that is quite fine for thiis scent. The Angel dna is in here, but not so demanding. Very nice for winter time ! Beautiful little frosted bottle.

My second unicorn Angel flanker. Oh boy I love this. The puffiness and tartness of the berries compliments the patch and vanilla so much! It last a while, and smell amazing for the age of the Frag. I did try the other Eau Sucrees and I found 2014 to be the best with performance and overall feel of the notes. A great blend! if you like Angel, but want a lighter fruity tart version this is it!

I finally tried this at our store, but I have to say that it's not what I had thought based on some reviews and the notes listed. Upon first spray, it almost seems like a medicinal type of scent and I hate to say it, but at least on me it almost appears to have a "cat urine" vibe to it. I wish I liked it better because I collect all the flankers, but this one I will just have to pass on.

I had 2 Nordstroms notes clutched in my hand, eagerly entering the store anticipating the thought of some sophisticated perfume that would change my world. What I ended up with was this little beauty. My friend who works at Nordy's talked me into trying it along with my other choices and I kept going back to the Sucre. It was bright, sparkling and fun, just like the star it embodies.

I don't have much to add to the reviews other than it's only Angel by name. This could have been marketed to be a totally different scent really. It's very gourmand, but the sweetness is not overwhelming to me at all. The patchouli is barely noticeable and helps anchor the sillage and longevity of the fragrance. Thank you to a fellow Fragrantican for obtaining a sample for me.

Ok, so I lied... I ended up buying this today because I actually do like it after all. I still don't like the initial spray, it still has a strange note that I don't care for, but the drydown is actually really nice. So, I am glad that I made the purchase because once the top notes dissipate, then the heart and drydown are really nice.
