Angel Fruity Fair

One of the best Angel summer flankers. What a shame that this was such a short-lived, limited release. It's a much better rose/litchi/berry Angel than the newer Angel Nova, which barely has any Angel DNA at all. Fruity Fair definitely smells like Angel, including the candied sweetness, earthy-dirty-chocolatey patchouli and creamy honeyed musk. But of course it's lightened up and not as heavy and polarizing as the original. While the patch is still noticeable and not sterilized, it never turns sweaty. The added fruity notes make the fragrance mouthwatering and appropriate for warm weather. Before I looked at the notes list it smelled like a mix of berries and tropical fruits to me. After reading it I could clearly smell the litchi and redcurrant, with the rose accords supporting the general red fruit vibe of the scent. I'm not sure about the rose thorn note, I can't detect the green and sappy smell you get when you break the thorns off a rose stem and frankly, I don't miss it. The whipped cream note is rather subtle and just makes the base smoother and more modern. It becomes so smooth and creamy in the drydown, really delicious. I strongly considered buying this when I saw it in the stores on my holidays (side note: The perfumeries in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria sell lots of discountinued gems!). In the end I decided against it because my collection is large and I already have three Angels, one of them also a fruity summer flanker. It's Eau Croisière 2020, which is coconutty and not berryish like this, but still in the same category. If you don't have a summer Angel yet, or if you're a dedicated Angel collector and can't have too many, I absolutely recommend this! If you can't find it, I think Angel EDT from 2019 is the closest in character.

This new limited flanker is now my favouurte perfume, I literally want to bath in it and soak it up. I bought 2 bottles and want a third as it may never comes back :/ First of all the colour of the star is amazing , aqua blue like the bottom of a swimming pool . Fruity fair is suppose to evoke the magical feel of a fun fair or carnival , with topnotes of candied apples ,black currant and lychee , the core has a rose thorn accord , and its base consists of whipped cream, vanilla and patchouli ,,,, a dream ! Fruity Fair opens with a fresh smell of red berries and apples ,cherries , dewy and soft , slightly candied but in a fresh way. The “rose thorn” accord makes this version very fresh and slightly green and unbelievable addictive. Underneath all that yummy fruity freshness lies Angel as we know it but in a very muted and innocent way without the cocolate and caramel and a lot less patchouli. I am addicted !!!! i will buy as many as I can get my hands on ;) To me this is the best version ever , super well made , and I prefer it to sucree at the moment as it is fresher and drier ( not as sweet ) .

I've not been a fan of the original Angel. It was just too heavy and possibly oppressive on me. Now regarding the flankers it's a different story. Yes they are gourmand and there is a wallop of patch on the opening but the natural smelling fruit notes lift and lighten everything. It smells almost juicy. I suspect my skin really amps up the patch. I can't say I get much cream for which I am thankful. I'm a keen gardener and have plenty of roses to care for. I recognise the green smell of rose sap in this. It counters any cream note. This is another delicious gourmand Angel flanker. It doesn't smell too girly or overly gourmand. It has lots of patch yet they is also lots of natural fruit juice and rose sap in the mix preventing it ever being heavy. I will enjoy wearing this when summer finally arrives. I get moderate sillage and longevity.

Wooooow I say ! I` m really not a big fan of The original Angel. Everytime I try it I regret it at onde.. It makes me nauseus... When The above i said, I truly love and adore all the other Muglers I have tried and own. Fruity fair is not an exception. Fruit blast on top.. patchouli and cream at the bottom. Fresh, fun and creamy. The scent makes me smile and think of roller coasters, candy floss and magic everlasting memories. Silage and longevity is above average eventhough it `s an edt edition. Fruity Fair you make my world a little more childish, dreamy and innocent. Love and respect to the Mugler scents ... they are amazing in every way.

This is literally one my favourite perfumes. I love it so much! It’s so fruity, creamy and sweet. I wear it way more than original Angel because it’s softer and more wearable. The berries smell like delicious strawberry shortcake and the patchouli and cream notes shift it into being something unique. The watery-sweet vanilla is not overwhelming or rich; it’s light and delectable. I don’t generally like “sweet” fruit juice perfumes, but for some reason I’m obsessed with this and cannot stop sniffing my wrist whenever I wear it!

I wasn't a huge fan of the original angel. I like angel muse but fruity fair is really nice! The opening smells like sweet apple juice! Not the store bought kind of apple juice but the kind you get in the fall at a farm during pumpkin picking! The dry drown smells like angel, but not as strong. Very vanilla! I really like this! If I ever use it up I might even try the original angel! I also bought a bottle for my mom! She really like it as well!! Great price too.

Mine arrived this morning! So far it's much fresher than Sucre, and cleaner than Angel original. I'm yet to detect any patchouli at all, if it's there it's very sanitised. The opening is crisp and tart, this lasts about ten minutes before the other stuff takes over. I'm not getting any rose though, it's gone straight to a vanillary cream for me. Will def be lovely on a warm day!

I actually like this one. I can smell the patchouli and the vanilla and the berry and the cream. It's a nice blend. Definitely sweet, but not too sweet. Pretty dry down. Lasting power is not the greatest, but it's nice overall. I own Angel EDT, but I like Fruity Fair better

This perfume opens up with a heavy patchouli note, which I have grown to like. Over time it develops into a more creamy vanilla fragrance that sits very close to the skin. It is my favorite signature scent when I want to wear something around the house.

Is it just me or does anyone else find that this angel turns very masculine on them? The first few minutes it reminds me of a mixture of the original & sucree, then suddenly goes very musky and manly on me.

I really like this. I have worn it a few days now and I have also compared it with sucree which I also have and can say they are definitely different. Fruity fair makes me think of jelly and ice cream! It's got a light berry vibe with a cream base, vanilla and then there's the rose. Which on comparison with sucree is a lot more evident for some reason. The minty patchouli in sucree is not here, it's got a lot less patchouli than the usual angel. I can actually really notice the rose thorn element, which makes this perfume quite different from others. It makes me think of a jelly and ice cream party in a rose garden, and you don't just get the roses, you get the whole rose bush! This adds a green freshness to the scent. Throw in an arctic roll ice cream with that and you have Fruity Fair! The dry down leans more cream and vanilla, the opening is fruity, the mid is rose bushes. I don't get a lot of litchi, it's mixed in with that red current jelly in the opening. I have a feeling that the synthetic pomarose and the rose thorn might be a little volatile with peoples skin chemistry, so I'd say, try before you buy. But it agrees with me, so I quite like it. It's got good longevity (8hrs) and decent projection.

On my skin, Angel Fruity Fair is closer to the original Angel EDP than previous summer flankers such as Eau Sucrée. Fruity Fair focuses primarily on red berries and the fiercely earthy patchouli that consist of part of Angel's signature accord, and it essentially feels like the original Angel EDP with less tropical fruits and less that deep, almost gooey caramel chocolate. As a result, I find it more streamlined than Angel EDP, but still more dense and more gourmand than the sleek Angel EDT. Moreover, since it lacks the defining note of powdery meringue in Eau Sucrée, I don't find them similar either. The longevity of Angel Fruity Fair is a solid 10 hours on me, while the sillage is heavy to moderate. Fruity Fair is of the standard quality of Mugler, which is pretty consistent. However, I don't consider it among those eccentric Mugler flankers that manage to be surprising, innovative yet still retaining the original's signature. In fact, I can't help finding it a bit redundant among Mugler's numerous excellent flankers. Therefore, I think it would be a good option for those who are already fans of Angel but would like a version with less caramel-chocolate and more red berries.

ABSOLUTELY HEAVEN !! Today I got this utterly gorgeous Angel and Oooh Myyy,this is amazing. The opening has a same vibe as the original Angel but a lot more fresher and fruitier.But this Angel dna fade away quickly and the fruity notes start to dominate.I smell mostly the red currant and apple notes,but very tart and refreshing.This tartness stays until the dry down.A few minutes later the vanilla and whipped cream start sweeten the whole composition.This sweetness is not a stickly sweet but rather a smooth and very creamy sweetness. The patchouli here-there appears but it's not the most prominent note. The dry down is a sweet creamy-milky vanilla scent.It's a true angel's perfume.Sweet and soft like a cloud. The longevity and sillage is absolutely amazing. The bottle is even more beautiful in real life it's a cobalt blue color,just amazing.Simple and elegant.The scent is girly,sweet and nothing like the original Angel.It's a fun,happy,cheerful scent.For spring,summer and fall (maybe) it's a gorgeous sweet-fruity heaven. Hurray for Albert my DPD driver who presented my Fruity Fair to me this morning. The bottle is BEAUTIFUL! The majority of photos don’t show just how different it is - a rich and Mediterranean looking blue, almost turquoise! First spray smelled identical to Eau Sucree but quickly changed. It’s tarte rather bitter and echoing other reviewers, I am anticipating ‘feeling it’ in warmer weathers. I’m not sure what rose thorn is supposed to smell like, it is less powdery than Eau Sucree so perhaps this note brings green and wet facets. The traditional chocolate patchouli has gone, instead a minty presence. Patchouli is part of the mint family and it’s like the warm breath of someone you are attracted to, who has just finished a sweet spearmint! Moderate longevity and soft/moderate sillage - I would like more! I hope it blooms in warmer weather, fingers crossed! It’s great!

I like this perfume, but it's too similar to Angel Eau de Toilette 2019, and I even like the EDT better than this one. But, since this is discontinued, I have no problem. This is true to the Angel DNA, it's a nice scent, but there are better Angel flankers than this one. This smells a little faint, it doesn't have the usual Angel power and projection. Smells fruity and it's not cloying, but I don't think this perfume is memorable or very original. It's just nice.

I blind bought this ans now tested my beloved Angel Aqua Chic 2013 (I can ́t stand the original Angel btw.) on one hand and this on the other - and the differences are too unrecognizable to justify owning both so Im returning this. I like Aqua Chic more because stronger and sweeter, while this being more diluted and more peppery, sharp fresh which makes it more masculine. too weak and watered down anyway for the price.

Doesn't go as whipped cream as I hoped. You get a mellow patchouli with lychee and currant fruit mixed in. I think the whipped cream on top sort of mellows everything out because the notes aren't sharp and the blend fairly well so that nothing stands out. Something about it though gets a little headachy after a while. It's a pleasant scent, but only a like for me.

I was just beginning to think it was a bit late for an Eau Sucree 2018. The Angel Muses are nice but I want something in THAT star with the Angel EDP dna! The bottle looks slightly green in promo shots... surely not identical to standard EDP? Better start saving... EDIT I cannot stop thinking about this and will place an order as soon as Mugler Uk lets me...

A festive nuance can be found in the fresh, pleasant opening built around red currant. As the fragrance develops, more classic Angel notes come to the forefront, yet the whole composition feels like an evening spent at a Christmas market: magical, joyful, and indulgent, but fleeting all too quickly, leaving behind only a memory of carefree delight.

Those Angel scents really have "the X factor". From the notes listed here, I sense patchouli, cream and vanilla. But this scent is so much more than that. There's something tart and something sweet about it. Like it, but don't love it. Interesting smelling for me. It has the usual Angel scent in it and it's indeed a bit more fruity.

If I owned Angel Fruity Fair, I would reserve it for every moments I need to cuddle. Or for cool strolls by the sea like a sort of soft, warm shawl. It's a fluffy cloud. Romantic, soothing and comforting as well. The fruity side of this potion overbears on me and that's what makes it perfect.

Gosh, it is really addictive (at least for me). Love the sweet and creamy scent. So sad that it has weaker projection and lasting power but on the bright side the scent is "friendlier" than Angel EDT.

Cat pee and patchouli. I kind of like it. Is it fruity? No. Many angel flankers are way fruitier than this (nova, Croisiere, fantasm)

For the first couple of seconds after spraying it reminds me of Angel Aqua Chic 2013, before the red currant/berry smell starts to appear, I don’t get much litchi but that may be because I am used to the strong dose of litchi in Angel Nova. After about five minutes the rose comes through, this rose smell is unlike the rose (old lady rose, which I am not a fan of) in Angel Aqua Chic 2013 and also unlike the damask rose (which I absolutely love) in Angel Nova, it’s a more green and fresh light rose smell, not unlike a subtle rose bud smell with some green notes added. I have read many reviews saying that Angel Aqua Chic 2013 and Angel Fruity Fair are very similar, but apart from the opening burst I do not personally find them super similar, Angel Aqua Chic 2013 dry down on me goes straight to the powdery rose whereas Angel Fruity Fair has that tart but sweet red berry smell and fresh soft rose, I get a green garden on a warm day image in my head as I smell this part of the dry down. As the dry down continues I get a powdery patchouli, and I don’t particularly like the way the patchouli presents itself in this flanker, its almost jarring to my nose, I love the patchouli in Angel EDP (original and later versions) so am unsure why the patchouli in Fruity Fair doesn’t sit well with me. Once you get past that section of the dry down on my skin is left a fruity floral vanilla which is pleasant enough but nothing special, almost generic smelling. After a couple of hours the signature Angel vanilla smell comes through, albeit quite subtly. This is a fragrance I rarely wear, I agree with other reviewers who find it ‘artificial’ smelling, to me it doesn’t have the special and unique feeling/scent that Angel EDP and some of the other Angel flankers have, definitely not a signature scent fragrance. I would’ve expected a more ‘cotton candy’ sweet smell from the description and name. As other reviewers have noted the bottle is a beautiful deep blue colour (much darker than the image used on this page), as a collector of Angel bottles I am glad to have this in my collection purely for the bottle colour, even if I don’t rate this scent particularly highly.

it was really good when i first sprayed it on but after a while it smelt really bad

I received a sample last week of Fruity Fair and thought it was just a copy of Eau Sucree. They are VERY similar, but Fruity Fair has a crisp, fresh berry undertone. I wore the sample for 2 or 3 days, and I received SO many compliments from men and women! Fruity Fair is Angel DNA for sure, but the heavy patchouli and chocolate notes are more berry and fresh. If you love Angel, there is no way not to like or love Fruity Fair. Like all current Mugler scents (besides Alien!!!), longevity is not great, but not poor either. Sillage is soft, but I got a lot of compliments! It was sold out at several stores, but I found mine at Macy's. Mugler website has it as well.

Either my nose is broken or my bottle is broken. I purchased this from the mugler website when it first came out. When I first sprayed I did not get sweet, or fun fair. I thought to myself oh you crazy mugler designers! Your gonna make me wait! Your gonna make me spray this, get to know this. Fall in love with this. Like I have all the others! Nope. I sprayed. Waited. Gagged. Sprayed again. Waited again gagged again. You get the idea. This never changed for me. This just stinks and isn’t sweet or endearing at all!!!! Btw I took it out again today. Tried the whole routine again. Same story

There's a strange point for me after application where the yummy, sparkling lychee bottoms out into something horrifyingly stale and sweaty. It takes a while for the summery fruits to reemerge so I would not at all be surprised if a lot of people were put off. For the patient, Fruity Fair does begin to morph and sweeten and to my nose there is almost a candy floss element to the entire thing. I'm not a collector of celebrity scents but I'm certain you could find something similar to this confection in that genre.

I just can't seem to get the hang of most Angel flankers (Muse being a notable exception) - Fruity Fair, similarly to Eau Sucree and the new EDT, seems to me to be another iteration of a bland fresh-fruity scent with some weakened Angel DNA underneath. While the idea of lighter and fruitier versions of Angel is nice, somehow none of these flankers make it.

UPDATE It’s a pass for me, I much prefer Angel eau sucrée summer editions than this one. This is not so sweet, slightly fruity quite faint, kind of musky dry down.

I must say, I am super disappointed :'( Super fresh, artificial fruity kind of scent with terrible longevity and sillage. Patchouli is barely detectable, which really doesn't bother me, but there is nothing special about this fragrance whatsoever. It's nothing like the original Angel, which may be pleasing to some people. But this is just bland and inoffensive. I REALLY get the rose thorn note. It smells just like when you cut a rose, that smell of the stem. Like you literally just used a pair of scissors to cut the stem and the green, watery juice that comes out - that is the smell that is strongest to me. Although this scent is by no means strong whatsoever. It is not an awful perfume, but it's something I'd expect from Febreze, not a designer brand perfume. My skin holds on to scent really well usually, but this barely lasted an hour. I have to put my nose on the skin to smell it. The advertising and name of this fragrance doesn't match the juice inside. Which is a bit disappointing. Absolutely love the bottle though, the picture above doesn't do the colour justice! It's a gorgeous bright aqua blue, similar to Davidoff Cool Water in colour. Smells like a generic young celebrity fragrance (not hating on them, some of them are great! I'm talking about the boring, air freshener types).

Hello everyone! This is my first review here and I do it for the Fruity Fair because this fragrance is my narcotics! So, I never ever had Mugler woman fragrances but got the sample of the Fruity Fair and after spraying it, the scent just smashed my senses. It was the first time that fragrance affects me so much, I got some flashbacks from memories, vivid sensations and also sourness in my mouth. When I looked at the notes, it had red currant and I realized what was the cause of those effects. Many years ago every summer when I was at my grandmother garden I was picking up red currants and she was making jam out of them, which I was eating later after summer season. I believe the smell of Fruity Fair activates some part of my brain related to those times, summer mood and my grandparents. So, for me this is very personal scent. I sprayed it again.... and yes same sourness and ecstatic feelings... Haaaaa..... So amazing!!! I got whole star bottle with the stand right away! So happy!!! I would say it is average lasting and projects for couple of feet. Fruity Fair is not sweet, it is sour! At least for my subjective view. 10/10 for all memories and sensations it brings to me. This is like Angel Garden of Stars La Rose *Eau Legere*. It lacks the density and mystique of the original La Rose, but Fruity Fair still balances a relatively delicate and elegant fruity-floral accord with Angel's bombastic sweetchouli nature. Fruity Fair has an apple juice accord, and the sweetness is the light and crisp variety also seen in Angel Eau Sucree. Angel's patchouli is present but the volume is turned way down. The rose in FF is also a touch more green and fresh than in La Rose. In addition, La Rose is formulated with vintage Angel and it shows! Overall, FF is a very nicely done Angel flanker, but as an owner of the original and magical La Rose, a bottle of FF is somewhat redundant and I like La Rose better anyways. One more note- Fruity Fair is a gorgeous bottle. It's the deep, bright aquamarine blue of a pool. Very summery and luxurious. It looks fairly pale and similar to the original Angel in this picture but it is not!

Oh my dear patchouli, where have you gone? I miss you much. Because, you know, it wasn ́t a good idea to leave your mates unsupervised. Sweet litchi is fighting with sour red currant & vanilla is flirting with whipped cream wildly. Those four try to make us believe that they are living in perfect harmony. No, they don ́t. Unfortunately. As for me, it ́s like if you are eating vanilla pudding with fruit bought in a supermarket /you know what I mean - it can ́t compete with fruit grown in your garden/. It reminds me of Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy. I miss something woody or earthy in this composition to make it less sweet and more interesting - and adult. This Angel is playful, youthful, gourmand & uncomplicated - and I want from my Angel a little bit more. P.S. I tried to detect rose thorns - but I failed, surprisingly.

My experience with this is different than others. I just received mine in the mail today. I excitedly ripped the cellophane off my beautiful box, and took out an Angel bottle in the classic star shape, but coloured in a deep, dark , strong turquoise colour. It's much darker than the pic on the website here. The smell is a diluted Angel, with something that reminds me of cranberry juice ( it must be the red currant ) The vanilla and whipped cream are barely there. The patchouli is fresh, not candied like in the original Angel. The patchouli gets stronger as time goes and the the fruit disappears. It resembles closely Angel Comet, Angel edt, and Angel Aqua Chic. So, since I have those, I clearly didn't need this. I regret buying it, so a brand new , in box, 50 ml bottle is available for swap within Canada.

I spotted this in House of Fraser today just as the shop was closing. I only had time to quickly spray it on a card but to me it smelled exactly the same as Angel, I couldn't tell any difference whatsoever. I will try it again when I have more time to see if it develops or smells different on my skin but for now I'm pretty disappointed. Update: I went back the following day and tested it properly. It changes quickly from Angel to something extremely similar to Angel Sucree but with a sour aspect to it which I personally dislike. It smells a bit like rotting fruit to me. Shame, as the bottle is beautiful.

As far as Angel Flankers go, this is excellent. You get the sweet patchouli undercurrent, with a nice creaminess . And then very sweet fruits on top, like syrupy canned lychees combined with red currant jelly. There is a bit of brightness to it. My first sniff said "Nope. There goes the smothering Angel fruitchouli soul." I am not an Angel girl, but this is wearable if I want to wear a super sweet fruity gourmand. This is definitely more sweets and fruit than patchouli, which is great for me. But this could be insipid if you thrive on heavy patchouli.

I tried it today, and I did like it...it is like a softer version of the edp..still the same old Angel, but the dirty undertone isn't so much there...now I don't get the egg similarity !? Thank goodness ...it is rather light, and sweeter end less harsh also..now, I don't find it extraordinary, and I don't feel I need to have it ! Still, interesting, and pleasant. Where Angel was like a slap in the face of a dry patchouli, this one opens up here and there with whiffs of floral, and sweet undertones..nice.

First sphere: 1. Seraphim, 2. Cherubim, 3. Thrones; Second sphere: 4. Dominions (also translated as Lordships), 5. Virtues (also trans. as Powers), 6. Powers (also trans. as Authorities); Third sphere: 7. Principalities, 8. Archangels, 9. Angels. And 10. Muglers, a never ending realm of incessant flankers. Lord have mercy upon us. It's a very slightly fruitier Angel with no chocolate by the way. Unless you specially collect all of these things, I wouldn't bother.

For those in Canada, this is now available at Shoppers. I had the opportunity to test this today, and I must agree it’s quite similar to Eau Sucree, which I have and love. Fruity Fair is, as the name suggests, on the fruitier side. Sweet, cute, with Angel DNA. The star is a brilliant aqua colour, which is a nice change up. The scent is so similar to Eau Sucree, however, that I don’t feel the need to have both. Lovely nonetheless.

Would love to try this one as I've yet to find a Mugler that I even remotely like, but I'm worried about the patchouli. In the original Angel, the patchouli comes across so unbearably dirty to my nose that it's all I can smell, no matter who wears it. I'm hopeful that the patchouli in this has been sufficiently toned down, but will have to wait and see if it comes to an Ulta or Sephora near me to test.

Soap... with whip cream. Spicy balloons. Fresh air. Slightly green, as a fresh breeze from distant park. Cotton candy. Fun perfume. Sweet, but not too much and fresh in same time. Soap and sweet is bit weird combination for me thou. It would be nice cozy perfume in rainy day if that makes any sense.

I received 2 samples of this and it's nice. No complaints but I have the original Angel and also Angel Sucree and to me Fruity Fair smells similar. Maybe a touch lighter than the original Angel but it really doesn't smell all that different. I would not buy all 3. It's that similar (to me, anyway).

I love that add, it's magical!!! Can't wait to try it, I hope it comes with a cardboard carousel and carnival that you can put together, that would be a great idea! Also the bottle should have been pink or hot pink :)

This smells a lot like Sucree but with added rose scented soap. I do appreciate the whipped cream that adds a really addictive quality to the fragrance, wish it was more of it and that the soapiness wasn't there.

This is nothing special. Watered down fruit/flowers. The patchouli is not too nice in this. Very similar to Angel Aqua Chic 2013. But the patchouli in Aqua Chic is better, and you can smell the other notes more
