I do not agree it to be a flanker of the original Angel. Angel Muse received the name of that famous pioneer perfume but represents a new page inside the Mugler book of feminine perfumes. Well... it's unisex for me. It's a totally new product line in my opinion. The presentation is very beautiful, drawing on a spatial and extra-terrestrial concept, and shining on any collector's shelf. THE SCENT Angel Muse is woody and incisive in the tradition of a unique Mugler gourmand fragrance. Thierry Mugler has proved that one can make modern perfumes without pepper and suggests a pink pepper vibe in the opening, but playing with a composition of red berries mixed with grapefruit notes. The grapefruit confers some citrus acidity, is unexpectedly not fruity, and gives a somewhat balanced impression. The middle notes offer us a hazelnut cream heart with chocolate. Yes, it's a strong Nutella vibe that ends up characterizing the main olfactory chord of the fragrance. The background accord houses two frequent notes but usually never in a combined form without moss, musk or wood. Mugler marries his signature note from the initial Angel - strong patchouli - with a remarkable woody and masculine vetiver. The prominent patchouli and hazelnut ensure the recognition of Mugler's DNA and appeal to many of his angelic followers. This combination suggests the aroma of caramel pudding and candies from a Luna Park, which we are already accustomed to with the Angel drydown. Angel Muse is not a champion of performance, but his sillage remains high enough to provide enough projection to please even the casual Mugler brand faithful, and its longevity satisfies any suspicious critic. Without any doubt, as in the Angel line of fragrances, Angel Muse is used as a perfume for the colder days and nights and gives a very high sexiness aura to its wearer. It is an excellent fragrance, worthy of succeeding or accompanying the long journey that the Angel can still have in the market. And it remains a somewhat unisex gimmick for many men who wear it. I personally like to apply it from time to time... like today. Angel fanatics split up a bit between hugging or repelling this latest Mugler proposal. Angel Muse is neither too sweet nor too feminine which are two main features of the whole Angel family for ladies. This less sweet Muse blending suggests to us the masculine perfumes of the brand, the male Angels, and in particular, the A*Men perfume. If we put the Muse juice in a bottle of Pure Wood (just because of the colour), we can surely fool a lot of people with a fantastic new A*Men Pure Nutella. Okay guys, I seriously need a chastity belt on my wallet!!! Just blind bought this yesterday, and literally the last thing I need is another fragrance, but the urge was too strong and so she came home with me :/ This perfume is sensational!! A very successful blind buy that I am honoured to own. I own the original Angel, and I don't find these two alike whatsoever. Other reviewers are correct - Angel Muse is a softer, more wearable flanker (not that Angel isn't wearable - I love it and wear it proudly!) This one is just more office appropriate, and can safely be sprayed a few times. I find Angel is max one spray and is most definitely a powerhouse of a frag. Muse is an all-season perfume, as it's not too strong, but certainly not too light, either. Angel Muse is oh so smooth, creamy, rich and comforting. When I wear it, I instantly think of hot cocoa on a cold winter's day, snuggling up on the couch with my husband and son, with a fire crackling in the background. I'm really not great at discerning various notes, but to my nose, I get rich, warm, toasted hazelnuts, high quality milk chocolate drizzled over full fat whipped cream on a bed of even more toasted hazelnuts. I have no idea what vetiver smells like, but I guess it smells great because this is seriously working for me! I really don't smell any patchouli or grapefruit, and I'm not so sure about the pink pepper, either. I do smell a faint hint of rose, late in the glorious dry down. Indeed, it is soft, airy, almost cloud like - never heavy, cloying or offensive. My husband LOVES this one - usually I have to ask what he thinks of my perfume, but this morning he voluntarily said mmmm you smell incredible, wear that more often! Hold the phone, ladies!!!! Longevity is generous - this baby goes throughout the day and night - when I wake up in the morning, albeit light, I can still smell this on my wrist, and it always seems a shame to wash it away in the shower. Sillage is moderate to heavy - a generous arm's length, with a beautiful trail left behind you. This perfume is also anything but linear - oh no, this juice takes you through various stages of amazingness, and there is not one stage that I don't love! The nutty accord is quite intriguing. I can't say I've smelled nuts in too many fragrances, but this one is bang on and so well done. The bottle is unique - heavy, feels expensive, and yes, even futuristic! The only thing I don't like about Mugler's fragrances is that some of them don't stand up on their own. I wish they did! But that is such a minor detail; it's the juice inside that counts, after all. If you're into sweet, airy, comforting gourmand fragrances, I can't see this disappointing you whatsoever. Such a beauty!

Absolutely love this ! Angel Muse is basically a more wearable Angel ! Not that Angel isn't wearable ,,, I love it , its controversial , talked about , wild , daring , crazy ,you name it !!!! Angel muse is like the tamer version of it , more in the direction of innocent and sucree and Aqua chic .....BUT .....it's better ;) Angel muse starts with a burst of patchouli and jammy zesty citrus fruits and red berries , almost like fresh version of the original Angel , same character , same face. Angel muse doesn't carry the same heaviness as Angel does , it's more of an airy cloud or a puff if that makes sense. Angel muse never becomes as sweet and as dense as Angel. After the initial angel shock has dried a little, the hazelnut cream appears , which is amazing to me. It's when I really start to love it. But it's not heavy sticky cream , it's light and airy , the rose helps to make it fresh rather than heavy ,,,At this point it's much lighter than angel with its heavy chocolate and caramel notes that can come across almost suede like ,,,, angel muse shines in the middle and as just mentioned the rose adds freshness and keeps it from being too heavy. It's the smell of sweet patchouli , rose with hazelnut cream , it's almost edible with a touch of saltiness , it's very much addictive ! The vetiver is a nice addition as it keeps it from boiling or flooding over the edge of über feminine ! Or in other words the vetiver combined with the patchouli gives it a slightly masculine touch in the same sense as angel EDT does with the cedar note. I am impressed and will definitely get a second bottle once it arrives in my city ! For now I will treasure the one I have as it lays nicely on my dresser beside the blue Angel star. Like two comets from heaven ! I think this perfume is fabulous ! A great way to freshen up a classic. And thank god they let the classic stay and give this to us in addition , the best of both worlds. It's a Mugler all the way , smells like one , lasts like one and looks like one . Now I am in an angel craze again !

Discontinued—but never forgotten. Some perfumes flirt with your senses. Angel Muse seduced mine. From the moment I first tried it, I was completely captivated. This wasn’t just a perfume—it was an experience, a statement, a temptation in a bottle. I fell hard for it, and I never looked back. Angel Muse was everything I craved in a fragrance: deep, sensual, and unapologetically bold. The patchouli in this scent was divine—earthy yet refined, intense yet elegant. It grounded the perfume with that unmistakable Mugler DNA, but Muse elevated it with a new, irresistible twist: a creamy, nutty hazelnut-cocoa accord that felt almost edible. Sweet, but never juvenile. Warm, but never dull. It was like the forbidden love child of chocolate and woodsmoke, wrapped in silk and sin. What truly made me fall in love, though, was the longevity. This was no fleeting scent. Angel Muse clung to skin, hair, and fabric like a second skin. I would catch whispers of it on myself all day—sometimes even the next morning. It had that rare power to haunt a room without overpowering it, and to linger on scarves and sweaters like a memory you don’t want to let go of. There was something magnetic about it—like you were wrapped in mystery, sensuality, and warmth. I wore it on cool evenings and always felt more confident, more alluring, more me. People noticed. I noticed. It made ordinary moments feel cinematic. That’s why it broke my heart when it was discontinued. Perfume lovers know: when a scent like this disappears, it feels like losing a piece of your past. Angel Muse wasn’t just a bottle on my dresser. It was a scent that marked seasons of my life, moods, even memories. I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since, but nothing has truly filled the void it left behind. If you ever find a bottle—hold onto it. Cherish it. Because Angel Muse was a modern classic, and for those of us who loved it, it always will be.

Oh how I love Angel Muse! I’ll have to be 100% honest, though - the first couple of times I sprayed it I wasn’t so sure about it. But there was something about it that made me want to keep smelling myself. I didn’t wear it for a while and just recently came back to it. Now I’m obsessed and some days I’m literally just craving this fragrances. We’re in the middle of summer right now, so of course it’s not the ideal temperature to wear it... But on some not-too-sunny days (like today)) I still spray it anyway and I adore it. It’s so interesting and comforting, but also kind of sensual in a way? My husband smelled it on me today and then kept coming back for more sniffs. I haven’t found another fragrance that has this effect on him.. So of course now this is discontinued. I’m really sad about it, but luckily my 50ml bottle is still pretty much full so I guess it will last quite a while. While most fragrances perform very poorly on my skin, this (and other patchouli ones) are lasting quite a while. I’d say at least 7/8 hours, but sometimes even more. Sillage is also pretty good, my husband said he could smell it at arm length and got whiffs of the scents when I walked near him. This was with 3 sprays (one on each of my forearms and one on the back of my neck). I personally wouldn’t spray more because I think this could get headache inducing if over-sprayed and I definitely don’t want to suffocate anyone. At first spray, the patchouli and pink pepper are all I can smell, which I personally love. Then, after maybe half an hour it turns sweeter and I get that Nutella smell everyone is talking about. But the patchouli and pink pepper are still somehow present in the background and although I can’t detect them too clearly at this point, their “vibe” is still there to ground them and make the Nutella less gourmand and more earthy. Comforting, interesting and addictive.

L'Oréal should bring this back. It will sell like hot cakes. The reviews and ratings speak for themselves. "Muse" has a warm, spicy, zesty and slightly bitter opening. The pepper and grapefruit combine surprisingly well. Although it is a completely different scent, "Gold" by Kim Kardashian has a somewhat similar opening due to the shared notes. The top notes last about 20 minutes then "Muse" develops into a strong nutty, delicious scent with a lot of patchouli. The hazelnut cocoa note is quote strong however it smells more like roasted nuts and less like cocoa. However, this is an advantage to me since I prefer less sweetness. It is strong but very wearable if used sparingly. I find it amazing for cold weather since it makes me feel warm. The closest thing to an office friendly "Angel" fragrance. Aside from the opening, it remains feminine while being dark and deep. Sometimes, less is more. They managed to create an excellent fragrance with only 5 notes. It is instantly recognizable and has the Mugler DNA which my EDT "Angel" also has. There is something ethereal about these fragrances that I cannot quite describe. This performs like a beast. It really sticks to your skin, hair and clothes. I easily get 8-10 hours of longevity while projection lasts about 4 hours. It is not too overpowering. If you want a chocolate scent, "Muse" is a great candidate. You have to enjoy patchouli in order to really appreciate this one, though. The bottle reminds me of a ballet flat. 🩰

If I ever did try the "original" Angel back in the day (and I'm sure I did), I never recall anything that smells as lovely as Mugler "Angel Muse." Sadly, this flanker is out-of-production. So, I searched and finally located a full, unopened bottle at a pretty good price-point. Angel Muse is beautiful. I am surprised at how much I LOVE Angel Muse. Opening is spritzy, sorta-aldehydic grapefruit and strong, heady patchouli. If I push my nose to my skin and concentrate, I can detect a very small amount of cocoa, or chocolate. The chocolate note is much more prevalent in the dry-down. Angel Muse quickly morphs into a feminine, powdery, ethereal choco-vanilla fragrance with the prettiest, intermittent wafts of grapefruit & florals, primarily jasmine. Grapefruit is a citrus note I try to avoid at all costs in fragrances. But somehow, in Angel Muse it just works. Vanilla, chocolate, patchouli, jasmine, rose and grapefruit. Dry-down is a powdery, spicy patchouli choco-vanilla, a hint of citrus, lots of florals. This is a BEAST. When I first sprayed, my husband smelled the patchouli from across the living room. Longevity is long, silage is moderate-high. And not that it matters but I would never consider this fragrance to be gourmand. I "may" detect a wee-bit of nuttiness in this fragrance. But overall, hazelnut is just one note I simply do not detect. Wish I did. I love Angel Muse. I'm going to beauguard my bottle 'cause the asking price for a 100ml bottle is high.

A HEAVENLY GOURMAND 💫 The original Angel is an incredible Gourmand that opens with notes of patchouli, vanilla (ethyl-vanillin), caramel, cotton candy (ethyl-maltol), chocolate and a host of other accords. However, Angel Muse Edp transforms this composition into something more "earthy", with a vetiver opening evoking smells of wood and earth. Angel Muse definitely awakens my olfactory appetite, but unlike the original Angel, Muse presents itself as a Gourmand Vetiver. It's great!, right?... Vetiver being a commonly masculine note. When I smell it, honestly, I can't perceive the red fruits in its opening, but I do notice the pink pepper mixed with a soft touch of slightly bitter grapefruit and the exquisite hazelnut cream that reminds me of Nutella cream, but without sugar. Truly a delight! It is worth clarifying that the similarity between Angel and Angel Muse does not lie in their sweetness, but in the structure of the perfume. In the opening there is a bright and fresh explosion of fruits, spices and citrus, with white flowers like jasmine and lily of the valley. All this florality is similar to Angel, especially in the patchouli, which is Angel's signature signature. This is followed by a magnificent and exquisite hazelnut-cocoa cream accord and finally a magnetic explosion with the elegant and woody character of vetiver. Infusing depth and warmth in the dry down phase. In my opinion, Angel Muse Edp is one of the best flakers of the traditional Angel.

Addictive and alluring.. this fragrance is a gem.. it’s a shame it’s discontinued :/ Edit: no but like what if weeee brought it backkkkk??? 😀😭 I only bought a sample vial but this is literally too beautiful and gorgeous and sexy to be discontinued!! Like actually what is the reason lol because all I hear about this fragrance is the fact everyone loves/loved it! This is literally Angel’s hotter sister and she deserves the spotlight again! #BringBackAngelMuse Edit 2: oh my GODDDDD every single time I put this on I cannot get my nose away from it!! I would genuinely akin this to addiction like I NEED MORE.. my 1ml vial is already almost gone and I’m panicking Edit 3: EEEEEK!! I got my 1 oz and I couldn’t be happier.. thinking I should’ve just pulled the trigger and get the biggest size but I’m sure this will last me a bit.. side note.. I haven’t seen anyone mention the atomizer on this perfume?? It’s so nice! Imagine something similar to Burberry Her’s atomizer except if it was just a bit more forceful.. I just love this perfume! It’s very quickly becoming my favorite.. out of the handful I have so far, this one seems to mix the absolute BEST with my body chemistry.. it’s simply just mesmeric <3 Edit 4: omg I just got the edt and it’s soooo good! In the United States, this fragrance is discontinued. I fully blame the Clarins ownership that was bought by L'oreal. I hate to be the bearer of bad news y'all. Stock up if you can. This is one of my most favorite Muglers, ever! Although I admit OG Angel is my signature, I also love Angel eau de toilette(2019) too. I'm just a Mugler girl, what can I say. I'd love to smell the first Angel eau de toilette(comet bottle) I'm sure I'd love it. I also love Innocence by Mugler. It used to be called Angel Innocence so it definitely is an Angel flanker that fits in beautifully. However I will not ignore the fact that Angel and it's sister Flankers(meaning they have the Angel DNA in the composition) are not super easy to wear and that The Angel line can be very polorizing. Either you love it or you hate it. There really is no in-between. It is also said that Angel chooses you. I 100% concede that, you have to give this a few tries to "get" it. If all else fails, try out Angel Elixir. It doesn't have any of the patchouli notes and is a solid vanilla gourmand. Also, if you like fruity, flirty scents; try Angel Nova! They have an EDP of Nova and an EDT. One last tid bit of advice, Mugler EDT's perform like an EDP. If you want to save some money, look to the EDT and see if you like it.

Angel Muse does NOT smell like the "powdered Nutella" line that every reviewer on social media likes to regurgitate, which is why I didn't like this fragrance at first -- it was the unmet false expectations of a chocolate gourmand. Fortunately for Angel Muse, it is more than a linear chocolate note, which is what I like about it (after I approached the fragrance on its own merits). To start, the notes are accurate. When you first spray this, you'll get a blast of Pink Pepper and Grapefruit in the top notes along with Patchouli. Once the perfume dries down, it becomes sweeter yet still not a linear chocolate. It almost reminds me of Kilian Angel's Share in a way, but unlike Angel's Share which smelled too literally like an apple cinnamon pie, Angel Muse smells like an actual perfume. So Muse is unique, mysterious, sweet, spicy, and alluring. Now that Muse is discontinued, you'll likely have to blind buy it. I'd recommend doing so if you think you'll like it because there is nothing else that's similar on the market, and if you don't like it, you can easily resell it. But know in advance that Angel Muse is not a powdered Nutella gourmand, and I mean that in the best way.

But I'm very glad I did- it's the first perfume that I had the experience of spraying, not really knowing what to think- but then just coming back to it over and over. It grew on me but I couldn't explain what it was I liked about it. I remember poring over the reviews, concluding it was probably the hazelnut that I was drawn to, but the hazelnut would come in and out of focus for me, like complex fascinating perfumes can. There's more to it than just that. Upon re-sampling now, I am enchanted by the blend. The grapefruit is delightful, it also comes in and out of focus. Overall this is one that's more than the sum of its parts. It almost smells like run-of-the-mill department store generic, but it's so much deeper and nuanced. I don't generally love patchouli, but here I don't mind it, and assume it's a vital part of the energy and nuance. I don't know that I would ever buy a full bottle- I don't think it really smells "like me" but I do like smelling it on me.

OH, MUSE...where have you gone?...😟👋💔 Mugler broke my heart when it discontinued my Eau De Star so many years ago..and part of me never recovered from that. And then, it was Muse...WHAT IS L'OREAL THINKING?? Muse has been discontinued for a short while now, and impossible to find unless you go to eBay or Poshmark or someplace like that. I wouldn't recommend doing that, as most people don't take care of their perfumes. My discontinued perfumes are all refrigerated. I haven't had ANY luck with my perfume purchases from eBay. All rancid or unwearable deteriorated. That said, if you want to take the chance, this perfume is a delightful, spicy, sexy unisex gem. It a warm, slightly sweet, vetiver & patchouli bomb, with a chocolate note that adds a rich smoothness to it. It has nice sillage and longevity. Men will love this on you ..men will also love to wear it FOR you. Perfectly unisex. Smells fantastic on most everybody, if spicy sexy is your thing. I only have a couple of bottles left in my fridge. I will be sad when it's gone. When I spray the last spray, I will mourn..💔

I have owned the original Angel for many years, though I got it mostly beacause it's iconic and I think the blue star is beautiful, but I have never really liked it and I never wear it. I was intrigued by Muse because of the hazelnut spread note, so I got a sample. I can not detect the particular note that attracted me, but I love it! Though I love perfume and have 100+ bottles, my nose is not particularly sophisticated or discerning, so strangely enough to me Angel Muse smells exactly like the original, except that I love Angel Muse but not Angel! Like it says in the brief above (pros and cons) this is the wearable version of Angel! To me at least. My skin eats perfume so it's just moderate in longevity on me (which is really good) but I sprayed some on my scarf and the smell was still strong a week later. It seems to have been discontinued but I fortunately managed to find a travel size 10ml bottle, otherwise I would have liked to get a full size. Exceptional quality.

A friend gave me a sample of this. Based on the notes I did not expect to like it much. THIS SH*T SLAPS! On first impression the sweetness is too much for my personal taste. If the vanilla was turned down a notch it would be perfect. Either I got used to it or the sweetness isn’t as strong on the dry down. I haven’t been able to stop smelling myself all day, both in the sense that I can’t get enough of it, and also in the sense that if I’m breathing I’m smelling this perfume. Just when I think I’m used to it I discover something new in it. It is strong and seems to project a lot, so I was a little worried that it might offend my family, but they are all as obsessed as I am. Too bad it was discontinued. I’m glad I got it anyway because it taught me an important lesson that many of you probably know (I’m a late bloomer): there’s a pretty big disconnect between what I think I want to smell like and what I actually want to smell like.

A beautiful fragrance, well worth owning alongside Angel. I adore it.

oh come onnnnn. oh my god. immediately: a fresh peppery spicy hit, you can feel it right in the top of your skull. after a few minutes this levels out, and the chocolate hazelnut spread blossoms. it is very realistic, and absolutely delicious. it doesn't feel overly sweet, just perfectly nutty and warm. the head and heart of this perfume dry down into a lovely warm-spicy canvas for that famous Angel patchouli to play on, and the vetiver is the very last to come to the party, and the very last to leave, just like so many of my favourite party freaks. it is terrible that this now sells for as much as a house deposit on ebay. i got very lucky to secure a bottle at a low auction price - but what on EARTH am i going to do when it runs out! we're about to head into cooler months here in the southern hemisphere, and i can't wait to show this one off as much as i can. i love you angel muse <3

This is lovely. I can’t pick out any distinct notes besides maybe the pink pepper up top. Angel Muse also performs like an absolute beast. I sprayed it 2-3 times the other day, in my room, with the door shut, and my mom walked into the house from the garage which is on the opposite side of the house and yelled out “what perfume am I smelling?! I can smell it throughout the house!” I received a 10ml decant and this’ll last me quite a while with performance like this! I’ll definitely be buying a full bottle soon because I keep hearing this is (or has been) discontinued so I wanna get it before the prices really go through the roof. I imagine a 1.7oz will last me a lifetime. This is definitely one of the strongest performers I’ve ever had the pleasure of spritzing on myself and it’s absolutely delicious too! Can’t wait to see how it performs during the cooler months!

I have already written something here about this perfume, but I reckon only now that it was rather a suggestion for an alternative after its discontinuation and not a proper review, so here it is: This is in my top five fragrances, and I have a big collection. I am not a patchouli fan, but I totally love this loud, earthly patchouli/vetiver/hazelnut spread combo. It starts citrusy, earthy and muddy, morphs into a nutty, chocolatey center and ends patchouli and vanillary :) It leaves a lovely trail, stays on for 8-10 hours and is a compliment getter. This is genius, a real masterpiece, a unique scent for real fragheads. It's Mugler's legacy, now destroyed by a company launching mediocre stuff like Angel Elixir. I need to stock up and already found a faithful dupe for this: I never want to run out of this gourmand magic. 10/10

The OG angel has always smelled gorgeous on other people, but like B.O on my skin. It was disheartening, Angel has been always my fave scent to smell on OTHER people with me low key wishing I could pull it off. I tried one of those roll-ons of Angel Muse, just out of curiosity and the hope that this would work on my skin. SOOOOO much better! It’s gotta be the simpler notes pyramid. The damp, earthy, muddy patchouli smell blends in so well w the sweet Nutella. It’s this intoxicating, long lasting, sugary-earth scent I love so much. It really smells otherworldly. I’m pleasantly surprised I was able to pull it off. At times I get a whiff of this chemical scent, but it’s like a Candy chemical and it blends well w the patchouli. Isnt it wonderful that the two Mugler scents I love the most are discontinued? 💔

I am now completely at the end of all of my Angel Muse EDP, no more bottles, no more refills. Angel had gotten me curious about fragrances, but Muse had me falling head over heels in love. I did have a 100mL of Muse EDT, but I sold it years ago, the pronounced fruitiness clashed with the deep, warm other notes. Muse EDP is absolute comfort for me, it is a must-have in cold weather! Nothing better than bundling up in a hoodie, scarf, & arm warmers that all had Muse sprayed on them previously. Makes me wanna hug my damn self, haha. Angel Muse is a scent for fragheads. Since it’s discontinued and was never super mainstream and a pretty unique scent profile, people are unlikely to smell like you or recognize it. And it’s a refreshing change when you want to wear something different for yourself. We do love variety in our collection! I definitely am happy to add a partial bottle to my collection for that reason. It is quite similar to La Nuit Tresor but I do think it’s different enough that someone wouldn’t mistake it for that. Testing side by side I do prefer LVEB but appreciate that Muse is not so universally familiar and LOVE layering the two. It is a bit syrupy but not bad IMO. To me, really sweet scents make you smell like a middle schooler and I don’t categorize this that way.

Got this perfume last year and still have it. I love love Angel muse it’s very strong and very long lasting. I love Mugler fragrances too they all smell so good and they’re very unique. Couple years ago I was looking for this fragrance so I bought one for a good price and when I received it I hated it so much until I realised I bought the wrong perfume which was the edt I bought. I did not know there was an edt version as I worked with debenhams years ago at the perfume department and I was familiar with all the fragrances and the Mugler Angel muse so at the time there was only one version. So at 2023 I finally bought the one that I know which is the EDP and I absolutely love it and brings so many memories. I’m so happy I got it and I have two hehe

An angel who came to us and stayed for such a short time...what a shame! Intergalactic hazelnuts with patchouli and chocolate, this is the true perfume of an extraterrestrial, one who loves creamy nuts. The first time I smelled it, I thought: Mamma mia! What a perfume! It's a unique creation, full of nuances that elevates the characteristics of this brand of power and unbridled avant-garde to the highest level. A hazelnut chocolate with patchouli, and more of course, but these two notes go wild, assaulting your nose in the wildest way. I miss Mugler's wildness. I remember, at least 20 years ago, when I smelled a new Mugler perfume in the perfumery, I was afraid...I long for that fear, I want that wonderful fear to return 😅

Love at first sniff!🫡 Mugler never ceases to amaze me, their perfumes are so unique that they should be classified as niche quality once and for all! , this one smells like a chai latte with chocolate but don't be fooled , it is not that sweet, it's strong with spices, and a touch of hazelnuts, a femme fatale perfume 💀🖤 how sad that it's discontinued, they love to discontinue the best ones...🥵 L'Oréal it's mopping up Thierry Mugler's name with dirty water , It already happened with womanity, Aura, and now Angel Muse, it literally makes you want to cry 🙂 ⚫️Longevity >> 10/10 (12 hours on skin, in clothes this thing it's nuclear) ⚫️ Uniqueness >>10/10 (¡ahh, es bellísimo!) ⚫️Sillage >> 9/10 ⚫️ Sexy? Beautiful scent. Definitely more wearable than OG Angel! The dry cocoa and hazelnut notes come through beautifully, and the dry down is a very gentle vetiver-and-vanilla. I don't get much grapefruit or pink pepper, but it blends enough in the top AND the Nutella note is so gorgeous I find myself not looking for them or focusing on them at all. Angel Muse certainly leans feminine and is marketed completely toward women, but I wear it as a man, and it wears fine - as long as you wear with confidence ;) - and I get many compliments. I'll never forgive L'Oréal for discontinuing these gems for the sake of profit, but that could be an entire post on its own.

Damn, I wish that I had known about this in 2016 and would’ve bought a full bottle. I wish I would’ve bought a travel size last year too. I was turned off by the opening, it’s very herbal and medicinal on me, but that hazelnut, patchouli, vetiver dry down is so tasty! Addictive! The good ones are always gone too soon! Edit: I just want to add, I sprayed one spray on the crook of my elbow and I am wearing the bathrobe I was wearing shortly after spraying and by golly I can’t believe how much it’s projecting and how good I smell and it’s been almost 24 hours! More perfumes need to perform like this! It is a unicorn of a fragrance! Indeed an Angel Muse!

Just a heads up: Deloox sells a refill of this sometimes. I have no idea how they stock it, but one or two comes up at times and you can sign up for a notification when it is in stock. I don't know if they're legit though, but i've yet to have a bad experience with deloox myself. 😅 Thought you guys should know, as a fellow lover of this fragnace. This is one of the most unique and delicious scents I've had the honor to buy. A very creamy nutella chocolaty patchouli. 🤤😍 Lasts a good while on me and longer on clothes and does not turn nasty on me Love love the edt as well, with it's bright top and caramelly drydown. I'll disregard everything I said in my previous review. This is now one of my favorite MUGLER fragrances, and I'm so glad I snagged two 100ml bottles of it! Known as the first-ever "vetiver gourmand," I can totally appreciate the fragrance composition now after sampling it again. Warm and fresh spices clash beautifully with cocoa powder and a rich hazelnut accord, while the vetiver and patchouli continue to amplify. What a masterpiece of beautifully balanced, earthy-sweet contrasts! It is undoubtedly one of the best Quentin Bisch creations, and it is absolutely tragic that it was sadly discontinued during the pandemic.

I got this first as a sample. Oh my God. I literally had no expectations as I was analysing the pyramide here and I wasn't expecting something big. Totally wrong. I love, love LOVE this fragrance. Absolutely my new favourite, I got the sample, wore it whole week and then purchased a full bottle from a friendly mate I found in a Facebook fragrances group. This scent is something else. Warm, earthy, chocolatey. Different. I'd also say mysterious and sexy. Definitely not for anybody, needs to be tested first. But I know for sure this is my new favourite. My favourite out of the Angel series along with Angel Elixir.

Ok my fragrant friends I have to share this with the world.... We all know that this perfume in particular is discontinued. I’ve been going back and forth on whether to buy an 150$+ bottle before the prices reach the level of RIDICULOUSNESS! I decided to look for an alternative i.e dupe or body oil. I ordered a lot of -our version perfumed body oils- from different companies. The first to come in is from a shop on EBAY called OMGFRAGRANCES. You guys!!! 8.50 for a .25ml roll on of pure Angel Muse!! This is 1:1 smells exactly like it! If you are in the US please check it out if you want to save money.

@bug.juice.184: Have you tried Ani by Nishane? I am testing out a trial sprayer of Ani and immediately after spraying thought they mistakenly put Angel Muse in my bottle. Muse was my signature scent for YEARS but now that's it's discontinued I have to ration what's left of my open bottle. Ani is a bit spicier in the opening and less sweet in the dry down. Similar to Angel Muse, also has pink pepper, plus the addition of ginger and cardamom. This combo plus the patchouli dry down is definitely giving Angel Muse vibes. Not a 100% dupe, maybe 80% but the closest I've ever found. Hope this helps!

I have mixed feelings about Angel Muse. This smells like Nesquik and patchouli. I am a fan of both so this combo works for me. This is not a safe blind buy. It smells very edible. It’s a tad bit sweeter than Angel. Angel and Angel Muse are cousins, not siblings. Idk where I would wear this fragrance to. I usually just spray this before bed. I can see why they discontinued this; it’s not an everyday easy-reach fragrance. But I really do appreciate for the work of art that it is. I am a big fan of Quentin Bisch’s work. So although this is a beautiful fragrance, it’s just hard to pull it off.

I have had a decant of muse from when it hit the market, and this fragrance is so memorable that I have always had it in the back of my mind. Life happened and I didn't know that it was discontinued. 3 months ago, I was lucky enough to get a new bottle, with the batch code of 2017. I'm in love with it even though I have a pretty big collection. I consider this a real masterpiece and a patchouli lover's dream. If you like patchouli, you like dark sexy gourmands, and you're looking for a perfect winter scent, try this and you'll probably be on cloud nine.

All the things that have been said by other posters here - it's such a beautiful fragrance. I'll just add that I had a small sample vial I brought for a trip across country. The lid wasn't quite secure after I applied and the scent kept drifting up from my travel bag under the seat. Once we took off I was absolutely drawn to the smell and kept pulling my bag back onto my lap for another chance to pick up the scent. Of the many, many flankers to the historic Mugler line this is one of the few that captures the ethos of the original.

Angel Muse, my true love. What would I ever do without you? I loved the original Angel, and I still do, but Muse is more gentle, more friendly, more wearable. A lot of the same DNA but somehow softer and yummier. I would bathe in this if I could. Muse is sexy. Muse is a woman taken seriously. Muse turns heads when she walks into a room. Muse is remembered. Warm, spicy, nutty, sweet, rich and decadent. Patchouli in its prettiest form. I am SO SAD this was discontinued, I will be savoring my bottle for as long as humanly possible.

Angel Muse was absolutely such a beautiful perfume. It boggles my mind why they would discontinue this one it was unique but still gave the Angel vibe but to different masses. If you didn’t like Angel then Muse was a sure bet. But no they bring out Nova and Elixir “yawn”. Really you actually think those are better than Muse??? I mean really Alien is better than Muse?? It smells like insects repellent with a mix of glass cleaner. Get your house in order Mugler and realize you had a classic here that you let slip away!

What a blast. The Angel DNA is definitely there but Muse is much less fruity and « in your face ». Muse is a dryer gourmand, the nutty side is perfectly balanced with the vetiver. It’s like laying on grass with someone roasting hazelnuts next to you. Gourmand but not cloying, nutty but not edible, earthy but not as dirty as Angel. Elegant and decadent at the same time. A masterpiece. It’s a shame that’s it’s been discontinued. I have some backup but I will miss Muse when I will run out of it.

This defies gravity. It is powerful but luminous. It’s heavy but airy. The Angel DNA (sweet patchouli) is very present, but Muse has a dry feel, likely from the vetiver. The “Nutella” smell is definitely there, but it doesn’t show up the way you expect. The peppery grapefruit brightens the creamy sweet hazelnut thread right up. It is almost reminiscent of herbal tea, like a chocolate rooibos. Perfect for fall and winter. Great longevity and strong projection. I think anyone could wear this.

Got me a travel size of this after trying the edt and fell in love with that one , decided to try this one . This one is more chocolaty . It’s so delicatble. Get a bit of the pepper but not too much, just right along with a bit of tartness from the grapefruit . The hazelnut comes through which helps balance the tartness of the grapefruit . I also get some woodiness but on my skin not so much just enough to ground it . It’s so nice . I can’t make up if I like this more than the EDT.

Unlike anything else I have ever smelled. I get mainly a sweet , earthy tea with a tangy grapefruit that mellows down the more it dries and becomes a bit earthier, round and more sweeter with a hint of chocolate and loads of patchouli . While I love the EDT more , I love this and it’s a MASTERPIECE. It seriously pisses me off why it was discontinued!? Both EDP and EDT! Please bring this back Mugler ! Why must you discontinue or reformulate masterpieces ???! I’m going to cry now !!!

I’m in love with this perfume. If you’re planning to buy it for a chocolate or Nutella-like scent, don’t — you can find other fragrances with a more accurate chocolate smell. But if you love the scent of vetiver and patchouli, you’ll absolutely adore it. It has amazing projection and sillage. It’s a very beautiful warm, dry fragrance — perfect for winter. بوی نوتلا نمیده. بوی شیرین گرم و خیلی وتیوری و چوبی خشکی داره شاید هم کمی تلخی کاکائو. خط بو و پخشش بمبه و عطر بینظیریه

i dont get "more wearable version of angel", this is what i imagine people who dont like angel edp get a whiff of when they spray it (and i love original angel edp), the smell is too intense almost manly and pungent, super spicy, less sweet for me, after some 2 or 3 hours it become more bearable, its definitely got some og dna. i think nothing beats regular angel. HOWEVER it might just be that the scent i get is only because i purchased really old samples :[

Finally got my hands on some and I'm in love! For me, it's the best perfume I've ever smelled. I want a fragrance that is really unique and complex but still full of yummy chocolatey notes. There's nothing else like it (including original angel). It smells like a beautiful lady who spends 100% of her time in a big luxurious bed wearing one of those pink sheer robes with feather trim and she just luxuriates there eating chocolate croissants all day.

@Célia Pais yes it is sadly discontinued. Another masterpiece bites the dust. @neferpitoo Angel Muse is incredibly potent. Either you've lost your sense of smell, or that bottle you have, my friend, is a fake. Two sprays of Muse and you'll smell it for many hours. Anything more than that and it's very overpowering, both for the wearer and those within their radius. 25 sprays? That's equivalent to around 8 days of wear in one go. Just no.

@Brazilnut, thank you, I tried Ani, and you are right, some of the Muse vibes are there, just there is no that wacky Mugler twist, Ani is a calm beast that drinks vanilla tea with spices, though some layering could perhaps amplify it, I am thinking of Akro Dark, Bake or even pinch of Delizia Oscura. Have you seen @OfTheValley comment about perfect Angel Muse dupe, I will report back about it soon (Shobi Perfumery in Greece makes it).

When my ex colleague gave me a little spray on my writs I just thought - WOW! Gorgeous gourmand fall/winter fragrance. It's a unique nutty and chocolatey scent that's really potent, really something anyone would expect out of Mugler. It's not a childish/sweet fragrance so I don't think it suits teens well. It's my favourite from Mugler, sadly it's been discontinued which is heart breaking. I got so many compliments I lost count.

I got a sample of this recently and loved it, I'm so sad to hear it's discontinued. It's a lovely mix of chocolate and patchouli, which isn't a combo I would've expected to like but it works! The sweetness from the chocolate and the earthiness from the patchouli and vetiver balance each other well. Probably not for anyone who dislikes patchouli, but I do feel like the patchouli is much more faint after you've put it on.
