Angel Nova Eau de Toilette

damn it this is why I'm so into perfumes ... it's like falling in love with someone as you start getting to know them better. When I first tried the sample, I was like "ok, inoffensive and nice, but nothing special here" but today in the morning I sprayed it all over myself because I couldn't choose what to "wear" and I was like what the hell why not. It's been 12 hours now, and I used up the whole sample and now I'm sad because I know I won't smell it again until my big 100ml bottle arrives. I ordered it about 3 hours later. I enjoyed this perfume so much! It's joyfull, breezy sweet, tart, crisp, delicate and somehow also impactful. I can smell the rose a lot and it's very nice juicy rose. Not the super sweet one (I like that too) this is light pink rose in the morning with drops of water on it. And some nice juicy fruit that I couldn't identify specifically myself but I guess it's the lichee. And there's also the cedar wood, which reminds me of Florabotanica! So random, those scents aren't similar but when I pick up this note, I immediately think of Balenciaga florabotanica. I just wish it was a little bit more long lasting. It's not bad, for edt it's still above average, but I'm not used to edt's and I like a bit longer performance.

Angel Nova EDT smells like happiness. On me the lychee is bright and juicy long into the dry down. It makes me feel like a forest fairy. :) I wish more designer fragrances for women had woody notes in the base, instead of the dated vanilla musk that seems to be everywhere. I do agree that objectively this a basic designer fruity floral, but the composition feels contemporary and not like a repackaged watered down version of something that was innovative 20 years ago. I would go as far to say that something about both the EDP and the EDT feels "niche" to me, just a little edgy. Several reviewers pointed out that the loud fruity accord was too much, maybe even headache inducing. Well, that is how I feel about most of the popular designer white floral fragrances. I keep smelling the same awful screechy jasmine in everything, so, for me, Angel Nova is a desperately need respite. Don't be frightened by the bottle--try Angel Nova if you are not able to wear many floral fragrances. 4/5 decent performance for an EDT

I'm really glad they made this version. Less than a year after my review of the then newly born Angel Nova, today I can review its Edt, an excellent easy perfume. I no longer feel that synthetic shade, it was thin, light but present and a bit dissonant, like a sharpened tonality. Wearing Very Good Girl for example, which for me is a near-identical A.Nova's twin, I don't feel it. And I wished Nova's first flanker was like that. And we're almost there. So, well, I'd say that new Nova Edt is less chemical, less dense but still sweet, more alluring, good and longlasting than Angel Nova. It is more transparent, if we want more aquatic, but not in terms of freshness. Also the woody notes are faded. I no longer feel any rose note and I don't mind it. This angel has pale skin, and I love it. Especially the bottle, it has gained in beauty. It deserves to be on my nightstand and tonight it will light up to me, like a crystal abat-jour.

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I adore Angel Nova EDP but it’s just too strong for me. Fills a room and the oily residue gets on my clothes and they smell like angel nova forever. This opens with the same fruitiness as angel nova, but it gets more rosy as it fades. The fruitiness is slightly less candy-like, but also more gentle. Sniffing the EDT and EDP side-by-side, the EDT seems to have almost no fruitiness since the EDP is so strong by comparison. But with the EDT by itself, you get whiffs of that fruity Angel Nova DNA throughout the day. It’s a much more wearable version IMO and I can see myself getting a lot more use out of it than the EDP!

My 2nd Mugler and again, it’s a BIG love. Angel Nova EDT is a syrupy, jammy, gummy candy-like scent. Or even a fruity rose lemonade. I can smell every note listed here, even the bergamot which usually for me always gets overshadowed by other notes. But obviously the stars of this show are the dominant rose and litchi. It’s also very woody and because of this the dry down has a SLIGHT cologne vibe. It hit me that Nova somewhat reminds me of Versace Eros pour femme EDT, which i also have. While Eros EDT is the white gummy bear, Nova is the pink or red gummy bear. They’re not the same by any means but yet give a similar gummy candy vibe, if you get me.

i can see why people don’t like either version of this fragrance. the edt can come off very sour and floral at the same time, can easily give someone a headache. i like both of these fragrances but i can only do 2-3 sprays and i need to keep it below the neck, or just on the wrists. i find these to be wearable only in cold weather and in moderation. i think the edt is a safer blind buy if you like lychee. the edp is NOT a safe blind buy because of the akigalawood. it is very strong and doesn’t dissipate. overall i find the projection, longevity, and sillage insane. i do like angel nova but i need to be in the mood to wear either overall 7/10 🎀🩷🌹

I don't use this very often, but when I do, I am completely blown away by the note of cedar wood. I had the edp and I didn't like it much, it was too sharp, this is way better blended and wearable. And for edt it's still quite strong. I would be ok with having the smallest size since I don't use it very often, but the full bottle is stunning. I think I might start using it daily in the future when the time is right. I'm kinda saving it I guess, otherwise I'd sell it long time ago. Thanks to the cedar wood note I find it to be really special and not generic at all. Very special piece in my collection indeed.

I received a sample of this with my Angel Iced Star, and I love it! I ordered a full bottle. It’s very feminine and light. The rose is clearly present, but the litchi and bergamot add lovely, secondary accents that round the perfume out and keep it from becoming “screechy”. It’s very fruity and youthful to me, but I think women of all ages could wear it. A real compliment getter. Also, it doesn’t matter that it’s an EDT - sillage and longevity are much better than most perfumes. I kept getting wafts of it on myself after 9 hours, and my hubby said it would linger in a room after I had left it.

What can I say about this scent. Nova EDT is a dreammmm and I could just float away on its fluffy rose litchi scented addictive trail. It’s light and bright and perfectly blended. It does have Delina vibes but more like Delina’s flirty cousin whose effortlessly gorgeous and barely wears makeup. She’s perfect for spring and a serious compliment getter. People will stop you And ask what you are wearing.

Currently wearing during a heatwave. It’s A pretty wearable Floral. Sweet. Fresh. Tart. Playful. Thoughts of a lighter version of the very heavy Delina. I like this. I worry delina could be overpowering to others nearby so I’d wear it alone. But this is more easygoing. I wouldn’t mind having a travel size. a little goes a long way

This is a beautiful litchi/ rose almost rapsberry-ish scent. I could wear this anytime. A strong performer in terms of longevity and excellent sillage (for me). You have to be confident to wear this perfume, not for the shy - but it doesn’t mean you have to be loud - just expect to receive compliments and questions.

I can't put my finger on it but smells just like something I know from years before. It's a nice pleasant scent, not very special but not every perfume has to be, sometimes you just want to go safe and familiar. It's edt, but it's Mugler so it's strong just like any other edp. I don't love it but I like it.

Surprisingly enough— at least to me— I prefer this EDT over the EDP. I really enjoy them both but the EDT has a really pretty freshness to it that lifts my mood anytime I spray it and the longevity is great on me. This is definitely one of my favorite fruity freshies for the summer! 😍

This is nice, long lasting, and with large projection, seems even more loud than the EDP to me. Definitely gives out Delina vibes. I can smell this on me for a long time. Now is winter and is great, seems this will be one that will not fade but work well and project in summer too.

I adore this, it has incredible lasting power without being headache inducing. The rose mixed with the prominent raspberry works beautifully. After testing I have no choice but to buy myself a full sized bottle. Dreamy, fruity goodness. I can see this one being a crowd pleaser

This is so much better than the EDP, I just wish it was stronger ... but it's EDT so you get what you get. It's so lovely, the rose and the cedar wood do magic together! It might seem ordinary or simple but I don't think it is. I love it a lot!

love love love!!!! such a fun, flirty girlypop type of scent <3 an edt that performs better than many edp fragrances! not as overpowering or beast mode as angel nova edp but that's a plus for me personally. smells like a hot person

For me, this fragrance is about Sweet strawberry rather than lychee. Good for any occasion and age. Its longevity is almost perfect. However, when it settles down, it becomes a little bit difficult... less sophisticated.

I bought the edp originally and while it is a decent perfume, I find the edt to be more fruity and wearable in public. The edp is too intense. I much prefer this version!

so girly and fresh! the litchi in the opening is sweet and bubbly which the bergamot tones down so its not too sugary. it calms down on my skin quite quickly and the flowery notes steal the stage a few minutes later, while the litchi and bergamot linger in the background. i dont usually like rose scents but the fruits and tartness make a good combination with the sweet flowers. the dry-down is a bit too sharp for me if i spray too much. i dont really smell any cedar on me, unless its the sharpness i get in the dry-down? im quite new to perfume collecting so i have trouble picking out different notes. this has been compared to good girl a lot and i have both! they perform really differently on my skin. the good girl is a nice warm vanilla with a fruity opening and i find that they layer together really nicely, the good girl mellows out the slightly too-sharp angel nova dry-down. the longevity is decent for an edt and the sillage is moderate. i do find that if you spray this too much it might make you nauseous, so be cautious. overall, i really enjoy this scent! the bottle is gorgeous and the notes are playful. i find the other mugler scents way too heavy for me so the angel nova edt was a delightful surprise

@cats_eye : No, it doesn't have that awful oud-y note of the EDP ("akigalawood" I think is what Mugler calls their molecule du jour), I know *exactly* what you mean. I loved the opening of the EDP and would have bought a full bottle, but by the time I got to the drydown that thought was erased from my mind. The aura of roofing tar made me queasy and no amount of scrubbing could get rid of it. Fortunately, the EDT doesn't suffer from this problem. I don't get the raspberry that I liked in the EDP, but it still has a nice fruitiness to it. Perhaps not an overly memorable fragrance, but it's pretty & bright, and I can't see this being offensive to almost anyone. (@ACBCNTW's review is on point.) Something I'll reach for more as we approach hell-on-earth temperatures here in Arizona. Side note: I actually *really* love the smell of creosote bushes--when they're fresh/live. That's the "desert rain" smell people talk about, the monsoons in Arizona are a wonderful olfactory experience. The AN EDP is straight up roofing tar (a hated smell since childhood).

I absolutely love the EDP, I finished an entire 50ml bottle in 2.5 months (despite having 50 other perfumes at the time), so I really did not expect much of this EDT version. However, this version is delightful! I can see myself owning both versions for sure. This one is a bit more sparkling and cheerful, while the EDP is deeper and sexier (especially in the dry-down). I got several compliments the first time I wore this one (which didn't happen with the EDP), multiple strangers told me I smell like a "yummy fruit". As for this or the EDP being "for teenagers" (I don't see any comments like that here but I heard it on various YT channels), I disagree . This is more refined and elegant than I or other girls would wear during my teenage years. This has no place among the celebrity and Escada fragrances or the BBW mists (nothing wrong with any of those, it's just a different category and profile). Longevity is weaker than the EDP, but still very decent on clothes, and the sillage is enormous the first 2-3 hours.

Just like Nova EDP, the EDT is a sweet woody lychee bomb. The opening is almost identical to the EDP, bright, tart and juicy. I also smell a little bit of vanilla that's more obvious than in the EDP, so the scent is a little bit creamy. It gets creamier in the dry down, which is made of lychee, cedar and generic floral notes. In the EDP, lychee and akigalawood together gave a very unpleasant sharp industrial paint smell, which isn't the case here at all. There seems to be only a trace of akigalawood and lychee is more blended with the other notes. The dry down is very close to Trésor Midnight Rose. They both last 8 to 10 hours on my skin and have moderate sillage. Midnight Rose is a little bit darker and more complex, while Nova EDT is more of a bright and tart summertime perfume, and both are crowd pleasing and easy to wear. Just like Nova EDP, the EDT sadly has nothing to do with Angel, and it's nothing special, but it's a fun Summer perfume.

I enjoy the lychee + rose combo, so I love this fragrance. It does smell similar to Delina and Very Good Girl, in a way that all orange blossom fragrances smell the same. This one only has the shared rose + lychee combo, and that's about it in common. This fragrance smells most similar to VGG in my opinion. I would say it's VGG summer style. Less powdery, more citrus, and overall just a "brighter" experience. Eau de toilette but can last quite a while on me. I'm going on 7 hours while writing this review now. I only really need one fragrance of the rose/lychee combo, which I bought VGG. When I run out of VGG, thinking I'll replace it with this. Edit: I realized after writing this that it has a similar "vibe" to Bright Crystal. I'm guessing its the bright citrus opening, with the magnolia pink floral mix. Bright Crystal used to be my signature scent, so no wonder I enjoy this too.

Heard about this perfume from a lot of people, decided to give it a try. At my local perfume shop, they had these perfume and this was the one that really caught my attention. My sister and mom both don’t like the scent, but I like it! I feel like the scent lives up to its name, Ailen! A strange, but unique fragrance, and I feel like me and a lot of people enjoy it! I feel like this scent really just depends on the person. Either you’ll love it, or you’ll hate it. I’m not sure how to describe the notes, but it’s so good for my liking. Not normally my type of taste, but still likeable! So, i’d say that this is a perfect night fragrance, especially for night. It’s like a night out at Miami, type vibe. It’s long lasting, kinda sexy, but I like it! Not sure if I highly recommend, since it’s not everyone’s taste, but it’s good!

I love how sweet and tart this one is -- it smells to me like a rosy, raspberry candy (albeit not too sweet). I like the original Angel Nova EDP but as some of the other reviews mention, it has a funky quality to it that I don't enjoy. I received this one as a gift and I'm glad I did because I probably wouldn't have picked it up for myself. It's so fresh, feminine, and sweet; it's the perfect balance of fruity and floral. It lasts about 6 hours on me and lasts forever on my clothes. I definitely overspray but get good projection from this. It has a really nice, enveloping sillage where I can smell it all day without it being overwhelming. I can't wait to wear this more often during spring and summer!

The EDT is way more suitable for summer than the EDP does. It’s also safer for work than the EDP, which I think more of wearing it on a casual date night. The opening is very similar to the EDP, a sweet burst of canned lychees and roses, but the cedarwood and magnolia beneath these two notes are balancing out the sweetness to make it less syrupy. I did not get any bergamot on my skin. The drydown is clean and comforting, and the sweetness is completely gone after 4 hours of wearing. Yet in the EDP, the sweetness persists throughout wearing. Sillage is moderate, and longevity is about 5 hours.

Beautiful opening of bergamot, litchi, rose and cedar. It reminds me of black currant, but the litchi makes it sweet and gentler. The edp is a bit too sharp for my liking but the edt is better, a tart and sweet little Angel. I would not mind a small bottle, but it starts to be too sharp and masculine at some point. Cedar is too strong. Then it again calms down to the starting accord of lychee-rose-cedar and returns to being feminine. There is something Baccarat Rouge about it, too, but a drop. Not sure I like it but the bottle is great.

So if you have the EDP and love it (like I do) you'll enjoy this. May not love this. I love this because I love ROSE scents. This is a softer, lighter ROSE version of Nova. Nova EDP is fruitier, woodier, and has rose and florals as base notes to me. This is also a bit more wearable. You can go heavier on the hand for longevity with the EDT. The EDP lasts a lot longer on body/clothes but this seems to project more (even for an EDT), and they're both unique enough to compliment other scents and each other. I could see these being mixed.

It’s nice and pretty, but definitely not unique or original. Very similar to CH and Coach like others have mentioned. Coach doesn’t last though, this does. It isn’t worth a lot of money, in my opinion. I lucked out and got a big bottle for $50 on EBay. I think it’s a safe blind buy for teens and preppy women in their 20’s, but older woman and those with a more unique style may find it boring. The notes listed are what you get. I felt the edp was too strong and synthetic smelling, this is more soft and demure.

VERY similar to the EdP, but while the EdP's fruitiness is super sweet with strong oud-y wood notes, this one is much more floral and transparent, with a sour, fresh fruitiness, and way softer wood. Still has absolutely *nothing* to do with the Angel DNA, but it's way less loud than the EdP. Longevity and projection are dialed down as well.

Fruity nondescript floral, much less jammy than the EDP. The drydown does have the familiar woody base but it's a very light projection... less than half of the original scent. Airy, fruity, fresh & woody. Safe for work, even the medical field. It's not bad, but not amazing either. I think Chloe EDP fans will enjoy this for sure.

Pleasantly surprised by this one! Definitely a very feminine scent-- super sweet, almost like a raspberry smell to me. A little bit "basic" in that it's not as remarkable as classic Angel and has something in common with a basic Victoria's Secret type scent, but definitely pleasant and doesn't have that cheap body spray scent.

I officially want to fight litchi. I've tried! I've tried so hard to get along! She burns my nose and smells a bit like B.O. so we're parting ways. 😞 This is probably the most least offensive litchi + rose scent I've tried though. It's truly not terrible, but I have learned that I just can't with litchi.

This is SO much fruitier than the EdP; instead of litchi (which is not tart by any means), it's more like raspberry Intense. Gone is the focus on rose or the sweet creaminess that link the EdP to Delina; to me this is almost an entirely different fragrance and not for the better...

i like it but it really just smells like a slightly more freshly-out-the-shower Mayar to me., even a little delina. i think the neon wood note in the original does a lot to make it pop.

Updated review: I really enjoy this scent this time around. The rose and litchi is enticing and fresh. I wish the EDT version came in a travel spray because I would buy it for summer.

It’s a nice sour fruity rose. It is similar to delina and very good girl but I would say I prefer those 2 over this one for the sake of projection and longevity. But it’s nice.

its fruity tropical, lychee , fresh and a little woody . It’s delicious but I wish it lasted longer.

Received my sample today. I adore Nova EDP so was curious about whether this one was different enough to also have, as the bergamot and magnolia notes are extra. In short - this smelt very similar to EDP for the initial 3 minutes or so, juicy ripe raspberry, a touch of rose and lychee to lighten and sweeten. I don't really detect the new notes. But the huge absence of the akigalawood present in the EDP in my view rips out everything I liked about that - the massive sillage and staying power has been stripped out to leave something that smells lovely, but lasts for about an hour on me. Definitely no reason for me to have both, as this is a thin ghost of the former. Very pleasant but fleeting on me, without the oomph and artistry of the EDP that made it notable.

I definitely prefer this to the edp ...must be the absence of the akigalawood meaning that peppery note that I dislike is gone. There is also an addition of bergamot which takes the edge off the sweetness, adding some freshness. It’s perfectly nice, and does last slightly longer than your average edt, but it is still and edt and so I feel about it the same way I feel about most high end edt’s -lovely but not worth the big bucks considering it’s strength! Bottom line is it’s a nice, fresh sweet floral. If there was a release that had the scent profile of the edt with the lasting power of the edp I would definitely purchase! As is, I’m not sure it’s special enough, especially at full price -if it’s ever on offer I’d possibly consider it.

The opening is juicy, sparkling & very pink smelling. Very sweet & citrus-y. Then it’s like a beautiful bouquet of fresh pink roses and magnolia. The magnolia adds a creamy, sweet lemon scent. It’s so refreshing & girly. The final stage of this fragrance brings you the cedar & musk. They basically only serve as a platform for the lemon-y rose to stand on. Overall the star of this perfume is the rose & the rest of the notes are just supporting actors. Update: I can’t wear this. The initial spray is beautiful but the longer this sits on my skin it becomes so grating & makes me sick. I think I just hate rose now (I used to love it in my early 20s). Objectively this is a pretty perfume but it’s not for me.

Not impressed at all with this one....obviously it’s not at all like the eau de parfum version. While this perfume smells nice in my opinion without the raspberry and benzoin notes etc it’s seriously lacking....the Edp version is something special and this one isn’t....it’s not bad it could be better this one on me is more floral with hints of litchi while the Edp wich is way more fruity. Test this out along with the eau de parfum version and see wich one you like better...I found while using this on me sillage is a light moderate and longevity I found to be a weak medium.

Only got a sample of Angel Nova EDT, and I have mixed feelings about this one, not totally offending but doesn't make me run to the shop and buy it either.. Things I don't like - the fruity opening, bit screechy actually, maybe too much litchi - it progresses to nothing, didn't develop on my skin and stayed the same flat boring fruity smell throughout - I can't smell any rose or cedar Overall, this could be ok for young audience, but it is seriously lacking some dimension...

When I first put it on, I really liked it. The lychee was really nice sitting on top of a solid base of rose/floral and woody/musky notes. But after an hour all I have left is just the most generic, basic "women's perfume" smell sitting close to my skin. Husband felt the same. (Initial spray: Oooh, lychee! Nice! ... one hour later: meh...) If I saw this for $10 at Ross I would pick it up just to add a cool bottle to the collection. Definitely not worth $115 retail.

It's pretty basic. It opens up very sweet and fruity, and then after dry-down and about 10 minutes you pretty much just get rose. It honestly just smells pretty generic, and arguably artificial. I don't really get why you would buy this over anything else. Scent Description: Opens fruity, dries sweet rose Sillage: Weak-Medium, within arm's length Longevity: Medium, 4-5 hours

Angel Nova EDT is just okay. Not as fruity as its EDP sister. Much more floral-forward with cedar replacing akigalawood in the base, so a different vibe as the EDT dries down. Moderate lasting power and projection. I prefer the EDP.

Dull, so dull. Spicy cedar at the base overdominates the fruitiness from the litchi on the top. As in common with so many new fragrances, it does not live/develop at all but stays pretty much the same from the beginning. Something irritating about this one. On my skin, no rose. Also I wish they stopped this trend of using the best selling perfumes name in the title of every new issue when the scents have nothing to do with each other. Nothing unique nor interesting here. Its a pass.

Much less fruity and sweet version of the Angel Nova EDP. To me, the EDP version smells like a straight up vase of roses, including the stems and leaves. The EDT just smells like rose part alone. Not for me. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 4 hours. Saw that this was compared to Kayali Eden Sparkling Lychee but I highly disagree. Sparkling Lychee smells like jellybeans and has no rose note.
