Angel Stellar

2 UPDATES AT THE BOTTOM* Just got this yesterday as it just launched in Australia and wore it today for the first time, so I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, but it's not as much of an instant love like the Angel Fantasm, which completely changed my life and made Mugler my favourite fragrance house. Unfortunately, I had to blind buy it because Myer is always slow with putting a tester out. Now sadly this opens up with that shameful overused pungeant synthetic pistachio note. But like every pistachio fragrance, it shines in the dry down. After ten minutes, it does become such a beautiful sweet, salty, decadent, nutty fragrance, which definitely gives me more of a nighttime vibe, even though I will still find an excuse to wear it during the day. It's not too spicy, which I'm happy about because overly spicy gourmands can feel like a punch in the face. I need more time with this, and I will definitely write an update, but so far, I do really like it, and I think the more I wear it, the more I will like it. It's just a shame the opening is all over the place, but the dry down is really delicious. This lasted 8 hours plus on me. I actually got asked what I was wearing at the start of my shift by the head of fragrance education at my job, which was so cool because I work for quite a big beauty company, and then also my friend at the end of my shift said they could still smell it, which was 8 hours after I applied it! Mugler has really taken me out of my comfort zone and made me more open-minded with my fragrances. I usually don't go for really woody, spicy or patchouli-esque scents, but I feel like the past two angels have been the perfect introduction into this category, where they combine trending pleasant and crowd-pleasing notes with their signature patchouli base, creating something unique and out of the box, but still so easily lovable. This is also probably my favourite fragrance bottle that I've ever owned, which was 90% of the reason I bought this on top of the fact I just resonate with Mugler as a brand so much for some reason as you can tell their marketing team is a bunch of DIVA'S Stay tuned for an update! Update: Y'all, this might be better than Fantasm, or at least the drydown is. I find that Fantasm has a strong, earthy, patchouli, musky dry down that makes it feel a little rough around the edges, and takes away from the sweetness of the perfume, whereas this drydown is blended way better and gives you a sweet, creamy, woody, nutty, musky aura that is just so delicious. I think this fragrance is going to be very misunderstood based on the opening, but once you wear it, it is so, so good, I can already tell this is my new signature AHHHH. I'm also excited to layer these, it might be a match made in heaven! 2nd Update: Yeah, this has definitely been my absolute favourite fragrance of the past year and probably one of my favourites of all time. I no longer get a synthetic or pungent pistachio opening for some reason, maybe since my bottle has had time to develop/macerate but now this fragrance is genuinely just perfect. Mugler you are INSANE and I love you.

a smooth, nutty scent with a sugary vanilla base. at first spray, i get a blast of citrus combined with a rich pistachio note. it's not exactly edible at this stage, but rather expensive and ornamental. as it settles, the citrus is subdued, allowing the sweet vanilla base to enter the foreground and meld with the nuttiness. this dry-down is a distinctly gourmand, "baked" profile, reminiscent of an up-scale patisserie that injects pistachio butter into sweet, golden pastry. the "sparkling" citrus remains behind the scent of dessert, though only to amplify the sugar, making it feel light and radiant. i'm not familiar with the original, 90s profile of Angel EDP, though i do own a modern bottle that was manufactured in 2023. in my opinion, Stellar is not a biological "sister", or even a cousin, of Angel. while sky-blue Angel is dominated by an earthy and inedible patchouli, cobalt blue Stellar is ruled by a delicious, creamy pistachio. this makes the former a bold and unorthodox scent, and the latter a safe and crowd-pleasing one. while Angel EDP is often called a "candy shop at night", suggesting a degree of food-likeness, its modern iteration is not confectionary: it's dirty, overripe, and, to an unforgiving nose, a bit like sodden soil -- the cotton candy, fruits and honey too toned down or "composted" with patchouli to render it mass-appealing. Angel EDP's connection to the earth and rotting fruit naturally deter a significant portion of noses. yes, Stellar has patchouli, but it doesn't have the same connotation as that in Angel EDP. instead of damp earth, Stellar's patchouli is the depth to a luxurious pastry. it's a food ingredient as opposed to a dark, dirty leaf on the forest floor. this creates a dessert-like profile that is much less likely to polarise than Angel EDP's "tropical fruits in a compost bin" scent. performance-wise, Angel Stellar is a strong, long-lasting scent. i apply two sprays on the back of my neck, and i find that, after around 4 hours of wear, my family members are still able to detect my scent trail from feet away. its pistachio cream and vanilla dry-down also last for a while; i could still smell it on my wrist in the morning after having applied it in the evening before. people are likely to downplay its projection by citing the "beast-mode" nature of Angel EDP. however, Angel EDP, in its current adaptation, is not leagues above Stellar in reach. while Angel EDP may travel slightly further and leave a denser cloud, Stellar is still strong by modern perfume standards.

Tested Angel Stellar today in Sephora, both on paper strip and on skin and as a patchouli lover it’s hard to say anything negative about it! It is a beautiful, earthy, nutty, woody perfume. I am instantly hooked...The opening feels a bit harsh, but it settles nicely within a few seconds. Also, I don’t get any citrus in this, just patchouli and pistachios, which is perfectly fine with me! Echoing the other reviewers here, I can instantly notice the similarities between this Angel Stellar, Angel Fantasm and the discontinued Angel Muse. It’s undeniable. I personally might prefer better the Fantasm version because of the tropical aspect, but those two prefer more earthy, nutty fragrances, will prefer Stellar more. Last year when Fantasm was launched I have purchased a 25 ml bottle that I have already finished, so when I am in the mood for this scent DNA again, I might go to Sephora to try both side by side and decide on the spot. They are not different enough for me to own them both in the same time, as much as I would love how they smell... Overall, without rushing to get a bottle of Angel Stellar, (hello warm water) I appreciate how well done and strong the perfume is and I will surely get it at some point in the future. It’s strong, projecting and it’s not one for spring and summer weather, which are the seasons I am currently experiencing/ looking forward to! Well done, L’Oreal!! This flanker is really good. I actually think Angel Stellar is the best flanker out of the last two launches in Angel and Alien lines. While I do like a lot Alien Extraintense, Angel Stellar packs a punch. Edit 05.05.25 Tried this again in store, both on skin and on clothing, and I smell divine! I am not going to lie (and sorry to brag) but Angel Stellar smells out worldly beautiful. Heavenly delicious!!! Have no words for how this perfume makes me feel when I’m smelling it everywhere around me...Obsessed

I wasn't even gonna buy this because the way Mugler has reduced complex fragrances into flatter, more simplified versions of themselves still breaks my heart, but... About a year ago, Angel Elixir snuck up on me as a secret fave. That bourbon vanilla is majestic and quite intoxicating. Not like OG Angel in terms of profile, but it's vanilla truly is gourmand as hell. Some months ago, I came around to Angel Nova and its blend of raspberry, lychee and woods. It's fresh, almost like one of the summery EDTs Mugler used to release back in the day, only this is actually bombastic and EDP quality. I ended up loving its village. It is camp and extremely pompous, a neon rose, and that is, well... peak Mugler! Now, onto Angel Stellar. What could it offer me, really? With its even more simplified DNA- bergamot, pistachio, patchouli- would it even scratch the surface of what Thierry Mugler fragrances were able to achieve with Angel? To my surprise... yes. The pistachio accord here is beautiful, and it is surrounded by the gorgeous Mugler chocolate accord that I'm simply a fan of. The patchouli is there, but those who've found it to be pared down are right. There is less patchouli here, more chocolate. Angel Stellar is a nutty, chocolatey sister to OG Angel, a daughter that throws it back to Angel Muse in some ways, but isn't quite as daring. 8/10 for now. I'm sure with time it'll become a 10/10. It's so close to the hazelnut accord in the OG Angel- which i rarely sniff in the new formulation- that it completely won me over. Closer to the OG Angel formulation than the current EDP, I'll say that much!

I love the Angel concept, creation and everything that encompassed its initial release... Back when I was a kid, the Thierry Mugler counter felt like diving into a magical intergalactic dimension...My inner child adores the feeling of holding these bottles... and I feel that Stellar was worth buying because it felt like a true Angel (it has a kick, it's not mainstream vanilla like every other perfume, it's uniquely itself but also has the OG in it). After letting my bottle sit for a few months, I get a super realistic toasted pistaccio accord now in the opening, followed up by some androgynous green sensual kick. Besides the toasted pistachio opening and the vanilla fused with Angel's patchouli present in the dry down, I get a slightly incensed and smooth wood accord that give Stellar it's own unique texture and character, the woody accord is very encompassing and encapsulated with the Patchouli and the Vanilla, acting as the walls to the house that is this scent. This has some reminiscence of Fantasm but they are very different in their development and accords. The nutty factor they both have from different types of nuts (pistaccio in Stellar and coconut in Fantasm) when combined with the same type of patchouli, can trick our nose at first because our brain is always trying to correlate every information it obtains to something already experienced before. So if you already smell fantasm you can have that sense of familiarity, but when you get acquainted with the fragrances you notice the huge differences they have.

Angel Stellar isn’t a love at first sniff. But when I did finally grow to love it, boy, I really loved it. For starters, I’m not exactly the biggest patchouli fan. Not a hater, either but there was just something about patchouli that just bothers me. But Angel Stellar changed that perspective. It made me more open minded to trying perfumes with a prominent patchouli note in it. Angel Stellar starts off nutty and citrusy. I’m getting that pistachio, but it’s more savory rather than sweet. Then there’s that nice addition of a bitter citrus that adds brightness to the start. It doesn’t smell sharp, either. Then after a while, I get the patchouli. It’s more clean and slightly earthy rather than a patch bomb. Once you go to the drydown, which can take at least an hour, I’m getting this super delicious-smelling, warm vanilla and a slight woodiness to round everything out. There is still that hint of patchouli, but it’s more subdued this time. Although there is an uplifting, luminous quality to it, Angel Stellar has this dark sexiness that also makes it a perfect date night or a nighttime fragrance. This fragrance is surely strong, but thankfully not nuclear enough to cause headaches. It can easily last 8-10 hours - especially during the colder months. I would say that it can be cloying during high humidity or warmer days. But all in all, this is an excellent Angel flanker that I would definitely repurchase. I got the 50ml bottle, though so I’m kind of bummed that it doesn’t stand up. That’s my only complaint.

This is Angel for people who don't like Angel. Now if Angel is your absolute least favorite of all time and you'd wipe it off the face of the earth if you could, you still won't like this. If you're just a little put off but not fully disgusted, this one might do it for you. I actually like Angel but this flanker has a broader appeal, which for me is ideal for a perfume at this price. I don't want to let something this expensive go unused for long periods of time because I'm worried about wearing it around the wrong crowd. If I want to play around with something less "safe," I'm going to go with indie brands. In both stellar and the og, the main note that stands out to me is *HONEY.* In Stellar, the pistachio takes it from og's literal outdoor beehive and surrounding plant matter, to some kind of baked good with honey drizzled on it. The patchouli is definitely still present, but it balances the sweetness out rather than giving it the admittedly sweaty vibe of the og. The Mugler website accurately describes the pistachio as salty, and the bourbon vanilla listed there does come through. There's something dry/powdery about this as well, probably the "mysterious woody accord" (lmao) Update: I ended up getting the OG angel too because it has something that angel stellar doesn't. Love them both but I wouldn't dare wear stellar on a day where it's over 35°F, and I feel I can get away with wearing the OG up to 70°F if I spray lightly. This is a Christmas perfume to me.

The closest we'll get to the masterpiece that was Angel Muse.... For the brand this is a great flanker that makes sense in the Angel universe. Feels like classic Mugler and differentiates itself from bland and highly commercial flankers that came out recently (Fantasm, Elixir). This one has personality. As for the fragrance itself, it's a powerhouse in terms of longevity and sillage. I brought a blotter to my house, left it on my couch, it's been three days and it has filled my whole living room. You can smell it as soon as you enter! It's a rich, dense, addicting fragrance. Unisex. Definitely not a safe blind buy. Can be easy to overspray, specially in warm weather. If you're looking for a crowd pleaser I don't think this is a safe option. It has that polarizing aspect that the original Angel has. For me it's distinct, rich, interesting, but one of my male friends described it as old lady perfume (surely because of the patchouli). So definitely not a safe blind buy, and I would recommend to test it out for a few hours to see how it develops on your own skin. Overall I'm very happy with this new flanker and had to add it to my collection. Yes it's obnoxious, polarizing, oddly addictive.. but that's what I want from a Mugler fragrance! To stand out and raise a couple eyebrows.. If I wanted to play it safe I can go to another brand.

To preface: I hate classic Angel. Never tried the original formulation but the current one is extremely off-putting almost like smelling salts. This flanker is phenomenal. It still has the Angel DNA but wayyyy toned down to a level that’s actually enjoyable for me. This fragrance starts out with hyper realistic pistachio. Like you’re actually putting your face into a tub of made-from-scratch pistachio gelato. I thought it would be similar to DS&Durga’s pistachio but it is absolutely not. DS&D is spicy and woodsy and almost masculine. Angel Stellar is real and rich and mysterious. As it dries down it keeps getting sweeter, with the patchouli coming in to remind you of the classic Angel but without the headache. And the staying power is actually incredible. I sampled at Ulta around 3pm and it’s almost midnight and I’m still getting whiffs of it. I did one spritz on one wrist and then blotted my wrists together a couple times. I came home after sampling it then went outside again and came back in and my house smelled like Stellar. And this was only on skin, I didn’t spray it on my clothes at all. Hopefully the resale price starts to go down a bit, I’d love to get my hands on a standing star <3

FULL BOTTLE WORTHY. I am the OG’s #1 fan. Angel EDP was my signature scent for years when it first came out. Daniel Rene’s review of Stellar was so electrifying that I placed an online blind buy in the blink of an eye. I was nervous at the start of the first wear, because the opening smelled somewhat discordant on my skin. If you told me its notes were pistachio pipe tobacco, chocolate, and cannabis, I wouldn’t doubt it. BUT THEN. 10 minutes after applying 6 sprays (4 on the wrists, 2 on the scarf), it’s as if the wave of a wand whipped it into a consummate blend: the pistachio softened, the signature patchouli began to sing, and the sweetness intensified. A supreme blend! So insanely complex and amazing. When I focus on the sweetness, I still get cannabis. Ideally sweet, creamy cannabis. Swoon! It’s a bit camphorous. Peppery and clayey. Fortunately for me, the defining patch is nuclear on my skin. I get a little Play-Doh. Even a hint of Xerjoff Naxos! I just described my dream fragrance. Mind-blowingly gorgeous beastmode perfection. Immensely addictive. Dare I say: I think I prefer it to the OG. It is sheer ECSTASY. A work of art so beautiful I could cry. MASTERPIECE FOR THE AGES.

In the deep dry down I’m taken back to childhood memories of playing on the playground with my friends and rubbing pistachio shells on the ground to make them hot and chasing each other with them LOL (if you know you know) The patchouli in here almost comes off as like a smoky incensey vibe like 6 hours in that’s reminiscent of that memory and I love it. I could talk about this perfume for days (and clearly have based on all my reviews LMAO).. how is it so simple yet so complex at the same time? Also longevity is like way more impressive than I thought. Definitely 9+ hours maybe even pushing 12. I think I became nose blind after wearing it so much but after giving it like a week break and revisiting more casually it lasts like ALLLLL day. The projection does get a lot softer about halfway through but that longevity is there! It also seems to have different nuances depending on the weather.. it was hotter today and it def felt way more refreshing and almost juicy leaning (I might be tripping but I kinda detect a faint whisper of pear) at first with that citrus mixing with the heat. I love my citrusy smoky sweet sexy Angel pistachio macaron <3

There are many layers to this fragrance. I love it, but it's not so simple as the "ambery gourmand" used to describe it on Mugler's site. The notes list on their site also makes zero mention of the patchouli note that is VERY much there once the creaminess in the opening has said goodbye. I bought this because a coworker had it and I could smell her presence without having seen her yet. This one isn't subtle. Smells like a cup of tea in a fantasy garden in space from afar. Very pretty, the herbal notes are more playful before the creamy nuttiness have faded and left the base note of a more serious and mature patchouli. This is a safe blind buy only if you're familiar with the complexity and strength Mugler offers in their scents, and you have to have a good relationship with patchouli, otherwise there are many other creamy pistachios to explore that are safer to try. I love this fragrance, but I'll warn that you shouldn't overspray because it will turn into an overwhelming syrupy patchouli mess. Less is more.

When I first sprayed Mugler's Angel Stellar, I was initially put off because of how intense and savoury the pistachio was on opening. At that point, I'd decided that I wouldn't even bother with this fragrance and just stick with the OG Angel. However, the scent lingered on me all day, blending the OG Angel's signature patchouli richness with a creamy, nutty pistachio accord. I'd attribute the creaminess to the vanilla bourbon note which does a lot of heavy lifting here. It softens and warms the other notes and you can definitely smell it prominently in the dry down. This perfume has really impressed me. I don't think anything has or ever will smell remotely similar. I purchased a 100ml bottle but I'm considering picking up another in case it gets discontinued like so many other gems. If you're a lover of gourmand scents and want to smell unlike everybody else, I cannot recommend it enough. It definitely is a stellar fragrance. Update: I did purchase another 100ml bottle. Angel Stellar is just THAT yummy.

I'm genuinely not sure why people are comparing Angel Stellar to Angel Muse. To my nose, Muse is nutty, but also very (and I do mean VERY) 'chocolatey sweet'. Yes, Stellar is also nutty, but in a completely savoury, unsweetened way. The OG Angel DNA is present, but with zero of its sweetness. If you're looking for a Muse alternative, Stellar is not it. She doesn't resemble Fantasm either, which also smells sweet and very coconutty (a joyful combination). If the sweetness in OG Angel was just a little too much for you, try this instead. It is a sugar-free Angel. Nutty, but not overwhelmingly so. Very interesting and enjoyable to wear. Performance is excellent. Silage and longevity are quite strong and long-lasting. I find Stellar completely unisex and much better than the Stellar A*Men release. It goes without saying that the electric blue bottle is gorgeous. I bought a 100ml, which came with a free 5ml teeny tiny Stellar star bottle. Cuter than a newborn puppy!

This is one of Mugler’s best creations. 😭💙, it smells and performs the way I always wished the original Angel would. The original has lost some of its power over the years, but this one brings it back with even more character. Angel Stellar is not a sweet fragrance. It’s strong, woody, and unique. It has a nutty aroma that leans more towards walnut than pistachio, giving it a rich and comforting depth. It feels more grounded, mature, and mysterious than the original Angel, It’s perfect for cold weather and nighttime. It reminds me of sitting by a bonfire🔥, wrapped in a warm coat, surrounded by freezing air🌬️ ahhh yesss, there’s something magnetic and unforgettable about it. And please, Mugler, don’t break my heart again 🫠I’m still recovering from the emotional damage of losing Aura, Womanity, and Angel Muse. 😩 Don’t do this to us again. Protect this masterpiece at all costs. A total hit. Longevity: 10/10. Original, bold, and 100% worth every drop. 🫡

My absolute favorite moment of this perfume is by far the opening. I love it. It’s exactly the nutty quality I’ve been seeking in a scent. It’s something very similar to how the Sol de Janeiro perfume makes me feel, but that doesn’t last like this. And even though the notes here don’t mention it, in the promo photos of the bottle, there’s vanilla and some sort of wood in the photo as well.. I wish they’d tell us exactly what it is.. but whatever. To be a scent that’s marketed towards women, I feel like this is very unisex. It’s sultry in a way that I think would work for anyone that wants it to. The bottle makes me feel like someone that works for Sailor Moon. The 25ml fits so perfectly in my pocket that Ive just been carrying it around with me and whenever I leave the room and come back, I give myself a spritz to start it back up again. This scent makes me want to show it off. This is my first angel and I couldn’t be happier.

Very lovely ! Opens up fresh, very sweet and musky. Soon after, the pistachio comes in. The fragrance settles on a base of nutty pistachio and patchouli. I tried this and the A*Men version at the same time, they're both awesome. Really shocked to see so many votes saying this is a female fragrance. It's absolutely not. It's 100% unisex, like the A*Men version. Only the very opening smells feminine, after a few minutes it could easily be in the A*Men bottle and it wouldn't surprise anybody. Please do not blind buy this expecting a girly fragrance, you will be massively disapointed. EDIT : got a sample of this and had the chance to spend more time with it. I really love it. Quality is very nice, performance is very good. It lasts forever on skin and has a pretty good push. Definitely a banger for colder months. As I said, just like the male version, this is completely unisex and smells quite close to the male version.

This is incredible. I liked Fantasm, loved Muse, and didn’t gel with the OG. This is like the younger sibling of Muse. Muse has more dark complexity, Stellar is lighter on its feet. On first spray, it’s all about the pistachio. The bergamot sparkles in the background, resting on a base of that Angel-specific patchouli. There’s no chocolate listed in the notes, but imagine hazelnut chocolate spread, but made with pistachio. It’s rich, it’s creamy, it’s chocolatey. I love Mugler - some of the fragrances require you to sit with them for a while to unlock their beauty. This was a love at first spray situation for me, like with Muse. If you miss Muse, try this. It’s not the same - Muse is darker and richly complex. This is more straightforward and sweeter. If Muse had lived on, this could have been a flanker. Great for colder days - I’ll be buying a full bottle straight away, my small sample is not enough!

Addictive and moreish. Cannot get enough. It’s boozy and nutty. Where Sol de 62 is the liqueur Frangelico on ice for Summer, this is Frangelico with thick chunks of nuts (I don’t specifically pick up on pistachios just general nuttiness with a pinch of salt) to warm up Winter. The chocolate is not gourmand like a chocolate bar, but dark, raw and earthy covered in soil from the patchouli. There is enough sweetness to balance this out and keep it from being outright savoury, but only just enough. It’s also a chameleon and complex as on certain days I pick up on florals and some powderiness in the middle. But interestingly the top and dry down are the same each time. I can see the Christmas spirit in this too. It’s warming, enveloping and although very grounded in all the earthiness, uplifting. It makes me happy and joyful. I think this star fell from Mars. Stellar indeed. 💙⭐️💫✨🌰🥃🍫🍃💯🔥👏🥰

Delicious, sweet, creamy, powerful. I find this flanker to have very little similarities to the original angel. For me the patchouli is a lot less obvious while the pistachio is turned all the way up. I appreciate how the nutty smell is not as synthetic as other perfumes that go for the Dubai chocolate vibe. The first spray for me was terrible. The bergamot was too heavy and everything too loud. However after maybe 10 minutes it really begun to shine. That deep vanilla smell came out which boosted the creaminess of the pistachio. It has now become my go to scent as well as the A*Men version. The woody accord makes this a more unisex fragrance but it does lean feminine. I’ve had many compliments at work even having my friends bury their face in my chest to really get the smell lol. While not a safe blind buy, this is an excellent perfume that is sweet, woody, creamy, and powerful.

For the love of god can they update the notes PLEASE. These accords are not accurate.. anywho... my goddddd I’m still frothing at the mouth over this.. it is simply divine! Something about this is just downright hypnotic addicting and intoxicating to me. Verrrrrrry sexy. Like I just feeeeel hot! I disagree with some people saying this is too much for spring.. imo I think it is PERFECT for it because of that splash of juicyyyy citrus intermingling with the other notes. The earthiness from the pistachio and patchouli also screams spring (to me) even though I will definitely be wearing this all year round. I have the 3.4, but I’m debating picking up another 0.8 for my purse bc I loveeee the size of the bottle. Glad to see others finally enjoying this! She deserves her moment!!

Update about the notes: I literally emailed fragrantica support with the expanded notes and description according to the Mugler website and still nothing. Is there a reality where they just.. don’t update it?? Makes no sense at all. The vanilla is a HUGE part of Angel Stellar so not having the notes accurately listed so people can vote properly is skewing the accords and people’s perception of what this might smell like. So frustrating. Like this is an ultra gourmand because of that vanilla and pistachio combo.. and who knows what other undisclosed sweets or notes in general there are in here because there is definitely more going on than what's listed. Sweet would def be the first accord with vanilla listed second and possibly more but we may never know

The girlies who can’t stomach a strong patchouli note will love this one. The initial blast is still quite patchouli forward but it calms down pretty quick and fades to the background to play a supporting role to the pistachio. The patchouli in this is spicy and a touch mentholated. Not getting much woodiness to be fair, I’d call this mainly a creamy gourmand nutty patchouli. I have an issue with nutty perfumes that they often don’t smell nutty enough, they’re always quite perfumey (see: girl of now by ellie saab), but this is NUTTY. Possibly the most unique iteration of pistachio I’ve smelled, both niche and designer. An easier wear than Angel Muse. Has an addictive quality. Will fill a small room or elevator and last forever on clothes. FB worthy.

I’m sharing my experience about a fragrance I’m passionate about to potentially help others.. no one is really talking about this so I just wanted to give people info that were looking for it??? My new obsession. Mugler and Angel stan for sure. It is so bright and fresh! The pistachio is prominent at the initial spray. Nutty, smooth and uplifting. Not a pistachio aficionado here, but I know a good scent when I whiff it. And this is very pistachio forward. The dry down is more classic Angel- with a nice heavy woody patchouli. I love the OG Angel, so anything that is a true flanker is absolutely in my wheelhouse. This is IT. Very distinct as a standalone- but you know who its mama is. Feels like a spring fling for Angel. Unlike Elixir- which is it's own heady white floral delight. Stellar is more whimsical. I cannot get enough and I enjoy it day or night. I like this as a season transition scent as well.

Reminiscent of a priestess spending her days cloaked in incense and oil while tending to a dark creaky old wooden temple. for me it starts out quite smoky & dusty, yet there's a striking syrupy sweetness that ties it all together and persists throughout the seemingly endless experience. It's mysterious, it smells like a secret, or a prophetic vision. Needless to say I'm absolutely obsessed. Adore the original angel too, but in my opinion the OG smells very innocent & pure compared to Stellar. OG is a little baby cherub floating on a fluffy white cloud while Stellar is a divine intervention during your darkest hour. And it's deeply seductive too. This will surely be my signature scent until it's discontinued.

I’m a Muse lover and I have maybe 2/3 of a bottle left. Savoring it until I decide we are close to it going off. I got a small sample of this in a recent order (trying Blush) and I am obsessed. I immediately purchased a 100ml bottle. It’s like Muse’s sister, not quite as earthy but has the creaminess that I love about Muse. There is also something in this that reminds me so much of SJP Stash, which was a long time love of mine. I had to go back to it to check the fragrance notes and sure enough - patchouli and pistachio. That one is more masculine but it’s absolutely phenomenal. So glad to have found this beauty! Update: This is LITERALLY so much like Stash without the additional masculine notes. Love.

this is hands down the best pistachio perfume i’ve ever smelt. i’ve been on a little bit of a hunt for a good pistachio perfume. there were some hits like borntostandout happy nuts and d.s and durga pistachio. however, angel stellar just blows them out the water. this a beautiful pistachio patchouli gourmand. it’s not a gourmand in a photorealistic way, still very perfumey but it’s incredible. it starts off very bright and sweet and then the patchouli pulls through and gives it such a nice kick. the longer it sits on skin, the more familiar to the og angel it gets. i’m so happy to have this in my collection. i don’t feel the need to try anymore pistachio perfumes as this is perfect for me!

I have lots of perfumes but THIS is the best. It starting by me ordering it wrong, ordered Elixir instead of Stellar. Then I had only more 3 days until my trip, and it arrived. At first it looked strange to me, but next try it was like “oh my god I love this one”. For me it’s like chocolate and weirdly a forest. Love its “dirty” smell and love how it’s gourmand and earthly, I discovered I love patchouli with Angels. I don’t know fantasm but some says it’s similar. The pistachio here fits perfectly with patchouli, I don’t find the bergamot, not even when I spray, but it’s perfect as it it. My star is the 30ml. I am getting anxious to buy a bigger just in case they decide to change it.

LOVE! This is a gourmand delight! Stellar is a more luxurious take on the ubiquitous pistachio note IMO. The initial spray reads as boozy amaretto to my nose (likely just the combo of pistachio + bourbon vanilla) with a hint of chocolate before settling into a sweet, nutty and slightly earthy vanilla. It's delicious, and one or two sprays goes a long way. Easily my favorite perfume with a pistachio note in my collection, and the bottle is adorable! @Kaleidosaur, thank you! I'm happy to know I'm not the only one out there who interprets the notes this way. ;) ** Update 3/23 - Today I'm pairing Angel Stellar with Tree Hut's Tropic Glow body cream, and the combo is ridiculously good.

This is so delicious... The pistachio is sweet and all wrapped in a green gorgeous chewy patchouli. Theres some bergamot that adds texture and lightness in the beginning, but this part vanishes quite immediately. I can also detect woody notes, so this might actually work in spring and maybe even in the summer evenings. Many people here write that they sence Amaretto. I love Amaretto but I cant agree on this subject, at all. This is pistachio. Amaretto smells very boozy/almondy even with cherry tones, Stellar is all about the pistachio and the other notes mentioned above. Such a gorgeous fragrance, a big Love from me:)

After waiting so long for its release in the uk and it still not appearing I managed to grab a bottle on my trip to Paris. It’s wonderful and nutty I get more hazelnut not pistachio and I get a slight hint of Fantasm but there not the same .i much prefer this one with more nuttiness and vanilla. It’s strong and lasts long. There’s no OG Angel in here, I’d say it’s its own fragrance! This is sweet creamy nuttiness that developed into a sexy musky kind of base, it could be the patchouli but it’s not the earthy kind if it is. This lasts for hours and radiates off the skin. This is excellent!

Coming from a former Angel hater - I actually love this! Maybe I've gotten a bit older so now I can appreciate the magic of Angel now. The middle notes still stink to me and I'm not sure the pistachio note is very needed here, but the dry down - my oh my. Soft, otherwordly, mysterious cloud, clean and attractive, somewhat inexplicable. Literally obsessed. It lasts forever on me, skin and clothes both, and it projects much better than most perfumes out there. It doesn't seem to depend so much on the weather etc., it just performs like a champ. It will be my next bottle.

Finally a designer patchouli fragrance I like! Definitely, with a pretty prominent pistachio (kinda synthetic yes) and the patchouli is not suffocating. It remains airy you catch wafts of it throughout your wear. Not the most long lasting fragrance though. Also it is not listed in the notes but I definitely smell tonka or coumarin in the deep drybdown that gives an ambery feel. Your usual designer sweet perfume girlies will not enjoy this.... I just have to also say the bottle is so stupid lol. How are you supposed to put this in your perfume cabinet???

Sometimes I get a lot of leather and cherry (more than pistachio) incense (more than patchouli) it reminds me more of something Tom Ford would put out than Mugler. But on other occasions I get the pistachio and angel DNA. If you are expecting a bath and body works level of saccharin sweetness, stop buying Mugler fragrances especially Angel & her flankers! I would personally consider this a sweet gourmand. I like it a lot and am thankful for fragrances of this longevity and silage with NO musk note.

I finally got myself a small 25ml star of Angel Stellar. I was looking forward to it as I love pistachio in any shape and form and I love the deep electric blue star. The opening is very original Angel and then the pistachio emerges, it smells strong and edible, keeping some original Angel DNA in the background. 1 hour in, the pistachio fades and I am left with the patchouli bomb: it smells earthy, woody, deep. Impressive sillage and projection. This will be super comforting this winter 💙💫

Now this is a love, especially if you’re a gourmand perfume enthusiast. It is a unisex in my opinion. I would have expected this one to be more appropriate to the Alien line but hey, I don’t care, it’s gorgeous. Also, bear in mind this is not a crowd pleaser so do not o over spray, unless you don’t care. This is strong cold weather perfume. All in all very creamy scent and the notes listed list on fragrantica is not complete, vanilla is a strong base note, possibly also almond? Not sure.

I couldn’t find this one in store to try first, so I just purchased a travel size online. Now I am wishing I would have just purchased the full size. This one is really good and worth trying! It is a modern take on Angel that is sweet and nutty. I find it very enjoyable. It is a true flanker in the sense that you get the original dna in there, but it smells very different at the same time. It is a delicious gourmand that is worth checking out. It has great longevity, too.

I understand why this might be a polarizing fragrance (like most of the Angel versions) but I personally adore it. In fact, it’s my favorite of them all. A rich pistachio and nutty accord blends seamlessly with a woody, subtly mossy undertone. It feels smooth and comforting while remaining endlessly intriguing. I've worn it day and night, and it's definitely the perfume I've received the most compliments on.

It smells divine 😍✨ ! I’m not a fan of the original angel but this one is delicious and addictive Nutty warm patchouli and the most gourmand angel there is so far the pistachio is delicious can’t really smell the bergamot but the pistachio and patchouli and vanilla shine and you only need one spray it’s very strong and long lasting It’s so good it’s now my signature I hope they never get rid of it 🙏🏻✨😍

This is THE pistachio fragrance. In my first review, I tried it at the mall and said it smelled like "bounce," and I meant bounce that @ss, not the detergent. To me, it just smelled funky, but I tried it again multiple times and loved it more each time. If out of budget at the moment, just get pistachio glaze from b&bw, very similar. Angel Stellar is good, and definitely doesn't smell like @ss!

I despise the OG Angel. And let me tell you, this one is such a masterpiece. I am obsessed. Opening with a beautiful nutty pistachio, unfortunately to let further take place an earthy sour smell, but this one lasts basically 5 min before taking you to an absolutely gorgeous dry down, coconutty creamy sandalwood and vanilla. It’s the best of ANGELs flankers! I LOVE

Do you know what this reminds me of? MUNG BEANS! I smelled a mung bean-flavored v@pe back during the pandemic, and I cannot unsmell that association with this fragrance. It doesn't have quite enough of that pistachio note for me; instead, I mostly get small doses of bright bergamot, sweet MUNG BEANS, and a bit of patchouli. Loving it regardless, though! :>>

I really enjoy wearing Angel Fantasm, so I was happy to discover that I like this even better. I think it's the pistachio note that works so well here. It lasted all day for me. If I had to compare it to any existing fragrances, I'd say Stellar has the nuttiness of Muse, with the patchouli base of Fantasm, but with pistachio instead of hazelnut and coconut.

@mschnabel666, yours was PRECISELY the review I needed, in every possible way!! OG angel is a lil too....dirty patch, Muse is one of my all-time favorite frags ever, and I HAAAAATE anything that even resembles coconut. I've been itching to smell Stellar but was too apprehensive to blind buy. You've convinced me it's safe to pull the trigger. Thank you!

FAR superior to the latest formulation of Angel. If you can’t stand original Angel on your skin, try a decant of this instead. The Pistachio lingers for a while (photorealistic) and then the gourmand amazingness is revealed. Angel DNA is in the background without the puke factor. Next question is when is it coming out in Australia? I need a bottle!

I picture a green apple covered in chocolate with caramel drizzled and topped with pistachios. This is what this smells like. I huge LOVE! It kind of also gives me a sweet earthy tea vibe as with Angel Muse. Not that they are super similar but the sweetness and chocolate patchouli give me the same feeling . Ahh man I am so happy I got this !

Someone left two sample vials in the 'free' pile in my college dorm. That weekend, I went out to a bar with my friends and met a boy I liked on the street. We invited him to come listen to live jazz with us the next day. I wore this perfume, and felt like I was far too cool and mature to be talking to him. Great for sitting in cocktail bars.

Not getting pistachio but then the weather is warm, and my skin always amplifies differently. I get something similar to the original Angel on someone else (which I enjoyed), probably not as spicy. I get fruitchouli. Back then, the the original smelled like bandages on me so I had to give up on it. This one fixes the loss :)
