Angel

I'm going to tell you a story, since descriptions are certainly not lacking here. When I was 17, I was introduced to Angel, fell head over heals with her, and subsequently met my first HUMAN love a couple of months later. We were one another's first... Well... Everything essentially. His mom didn't like me; I was a red lipstick wearing, 20 eye Dr Martin sporting punk as fuuuuuuhhhhh teenager brazenly waltzing into her house leaving a trail of the dirtiest, sexiest, most illicit perfume ever, with an attitude and the cleavage to match. As an aside, I'm a mother of a teenaged boy now- I would've hated my guts too. Anyway, we broke up a year and a half into our otherwise perfect relationship because he's totally a mama's boy. I noticed immediately that my bottle of Angel was missing, and was convinced his sister stole it because she was always telling me how good I smelled. Not wanting to deal with the heartbreak of seeing him, I sucked it up and bought another bottle. Fast forward 10 years later, I started kind of dating someone. A few weeks in, I realize his room mate is THE BOY, so I did what anyone would've done and dumped the dude for his room mate. On our third date, we were watching a movie in his room, when he reaches over into his drawer and pulls out this bottle of Angel, the juice all weird and discolored and almost gone. He had kept my perfume for over ten years, spraying it every once in a while to remind himself of me. Ten years. Needless to say, things worked out. He's still my man, his mama has since decided that she loves me despite the fact that I still wear red lipstick and I'm still rocking Angel on the regular. She's much more open minded to our hand holding now that we are married. Goes to show you just how powerful olfactory memories can be- this perfume allowed me to pick up where we left off, as though the ten years without one another had never existed. My advice? Get a perfume that's too big for your britches and go make out in the back of a muscle car. It'll go somewhere pretty alright.

Testing an Étoile Collection Parfum miniature, roughly dated to 1994-1995: I can see exactly why this landed like a military grade glitter bomb when it came out. I don't think I've ever smelled anything that so aggressively and uncompromisingly embodies 1990s futurism before. If the Sega Dreamcast was a fragrance, it would be Angel. The upholstery of the VengaBus is completely saturated with Angel. The gift shop on the Fhloston Paradise absolutely stocked Angel. Hear me out. There was something about the way the 90s looked at the future post-Cold War. It was fun, playful, fantastical. Translucent plastics, virtual pets, bright colors and rounded shapes. Directly in opposition to the grunge 90s. Mugler, Chiris, and Cresp somehow read this shift in the air before almost anyone else did. Angel opens with a bang - melted artificially flavored gummy bears over dry patchouli, with something almost plastic in the mix. What it feels like is brightly colored see through inflatable furniture, brightly colored frost finish nail polish (Hard Candy or Pure Ice, dealer's choice), the neon orange of Leeloo's (The Fifth Element) or red of Lola's (Run Lola Run) hair. It is youth offering you one of an unlimited number of possibilities. Angel knows it is fantasy, knows it is artifice, and wants you to just enter its world for a while. It holds onto that spun sugar until the drydown, where rich powdered cocoa and a bit of smoke also make an appearance. I don't get gourmand or chocolate cake at all personally. This is enticing but not remotely edible. Unless you were one of the kids who really wanted to eat the scented erasers you could buy at the book fair. Then I totally get it. I am incredibly glad I got to try this and remember how it felt to be a preteen in the late 90s. The only place I could imagine wearing this to in 2026 is a rave. Maybe I will.

I tried this when I went out with the intention of trying Alien Hyperspace + Goddess, and I ended up liking it *on me* so much more than either of them, gosh !! I think I get easily overwhelmed by initial sprays, and always seem to just smell chemicals. So I think that's a me problem. After a couple of minutes it was quite fragrant on me, but I couldn't quite place how it smelt. Then after 5-10 minutes, it became this gorgeous fruit punch type scent. It wasn't giving super heavy vanilla or anything it was like,,,,,,, yummy fruit treats which yES me, I'm fruity thank u. I wish it could keep that scent all the way through, but after a while it dries down to this nice sweet vanilla-y scent. I'm still trying to decide what I think of the dried down scent, because I spent half of my teens wearing Ari, so anything that reminds me of that can feel a little offputting LOL, but I do enjoy the smell. I'm very surprised by the difference in reviews? I wonder if it's everyone's nose working differently, or everyone's skin working differently. or maybe both? This scent absolutely STUCK on me. I'd tested a few perfumes, so I had to put it on the back of my hand instead of my wrist. It stayed wayyyyy stronger than the two on my wrists (hyperspace & goddess). My friend who I was with said she could slightly smell it after like? An hour? This was only one time when it wafted toward them, so it's not like it was projecting a CRAZY amount. Kind of a good medium amount? So if I do buy this, it'll probably be a two sprays type situation. I don't see this as particularly unsafe for the office, as long as you're only spraying once of twice in the morning, before travelling in??? The other reviews are making me question that, but I imagine the people they're complaining about are respraying throughout the day or coating themselves.

So today I tried a batch of this from 2016 (batch code 601497), and I have to say, I actually really like it! I think the specific formulation genuinely made a world of difference. This patchouli isn't one pulled straight from the soil; no "dirt" undertone at all. It's much smoother and complements the rest of the notes rather than canceling them and drowning them out; it's much more spicy and warm in this formulation. I still don't really get cotton candy tbh, but lots of chocolate and honey. This Angel is sweet, but edgy and uncompromising. It actually reminds me a lot of Christmas, gingerbread houses, antique shops and potpourri for some reason? But not at all of an "old lady." It's very unique, like it's equal parts cozy and standoffish. This is definitely not an edible gourmand. It's gourmand in a similar sense to how some kind of scented decoration, ornament or satchel is. "I'm sweet, but don't get too close and eat me, I'm too dangerous." I really really like this and I think it really fits an impression I want to give off, at times. However, I've gotta say, I don't really subscribe to the belief that you should never wear gourmands at all in the summer, but you'd kind of have to be a psychopath to wear this particular fragrance in hot weather. I wouldn't say "too sweet" is apt, but this is WAY too heavy for the upcoming months. One spray is enough! I find that I like spraying this once on the lower back of my neck more than on the front of my neck or my wrists, it's more subtle and enjoyable that way. I have long hair which diffuses the scent and I'm not left overwhelmed by this method of application.

After reading so many different opinions about Angel, I had to go and test it myself. I just can't believe I never did this before. I went straight to my favorite perfume's store and asked for it. The sales lady told me, Angel is a women's perfume but it's purchased mainly by men who adore it. It's very unisex. Well here is what I got. The top notes are really golden honey, meringue and something between peach and wonderful passion fruit. Not even a single flower. Remember that fragrances change from skin to skin. That was a very nice opening for me. Thirty minutes later, while I was checking stores at the mall, I could notice a gorgeous moss as I had never felt before, real moss fresh from the forest mixed with musk, honey, patchouli and caramel. The base notes on me are musk, a very fine and delicious patchouli, vanilla and the caramel evolved into toffee with some honey in the background. I just went back to the store and found the sales lady waiting for me smiling with the box. She said, the moment I smelled it on you, I knew Angel was for you. She was so right! I have never had so many compliments as I get wearing Angel. To be honest, Angel is not cloying nor suffocating as others said. Maybe it's my skin's chemistry, or maybe we were meant for each other. You must try this gorgeously addictive perfume at least once in your life. About the gender label let me tell you this. First, Angel is very unisex actually I found it more masculine than A-Men ( at least on me). And on the other hand, you just wear watever makes you happy and forget about labels.

This is my acquired taste... I have history with this Perfume: The first time I applied this legend I was about 10 years old, at the PDL airport, and clueless about the ride I was signing up for. My mum even lecture me for applying such a strong perfume to go on a plane... I remember it smelling like honey cough syrup mixed with a masculine cologne at first, not what I've expected from such a wonderful blue star, but I knew I was taking a risk when I sprayed it because I've already smelled from the nosil multiple times in the past at the airports and thought "ew, that's strong and weird... No". As I get on the plane the scent starts becoming more round and powdery, sweeter even... I remember It smelled like those after eight chocolates my granda always had in the fridge back in the days... As we land, what once was percieved like odlactory hell was now felt like a powdery and chocolaty heaven... I was amazed by the power of perfume and could not understand how it was possible for perfumers to create these "things". Now, 18 years later, I'm sniffing my wrist and inhaling the dry down of my 2017 Clarins bottle... Curious to find out how the new 2025/2026 reformulation went - appearantly l'oréal changed it again to a more accurate representation of what it was back in the days... I'll let you know in the near future how that compares to the 2017 and 2011 bottles I own. I also own a 2001 mini star but it's a dabber. Angel is still The Perfume of modern times.

I really, really wanted to like this fragrance, but MAN it sure didn't want to like me back. A monstrous, kaleidoscopic rainbow of a pyramid that promises all the sweet treats, carnival delights and freshly-picked flowers you could ever ask for and even more. For my skin chemistry, Angel delivers absolutely none of that. No cotton candy, no honey, no chocolate, no caramel, no vanilla. None of it, not even in the faintest traces. I only get dirty and incredibly bitter patchouli. And I mean "dirty" in the most literal possible sense. After two spritzes on my arm from the store tester, it literally smelled like I just spent half an hour doing nothing but rolling around in soil. If you like blind buying, I couldn't think of a blind buy pick more hilariously bad and unsafe than Angel. The scent this produces on my skin doesn't make me feel sick or disgusted or anything, and I know the Mugler lineup is largely dependent on individual skin chemistry, probably moreso than any other staple perfume house, but this is definitely not something I would want to smell like. I would feel wrong marking this as a "hate" because I do have a lot of respect for the concept of Angel and what it wants to be. But it just didn't work for me at all.

ANGEL BODY CREAM Ooooo is this as sexy as sex can be ! This bidy cream comes in the most divine container I've ever laid my eyes on, it looks like it arrived in its own stellar space pod from a magical planet - it's gorgeous. Not ever having bought the OG perfume, this again was a blind buy but I wanted something very very deep, luscious, boozy and sexual. I thought if I start with the cream I may extend to the perfume. It's a gorgeous lavender colour, its not as voluptuous as Alien Body Cream so I'd go in with a neutral body oil first, let that dry, then glide this silky beast onto your skin. It's enough on its own, it projects, which is impressive - I recommend this body cream, it's exceeded all my expectations and more. Go stellar ! LAYERING WITH ALIEN BODY CREAM I went in with Kayali Freedom Musk: Santal 34 - it is divine, it truly brings out the orange blossom and amber with a slight salty sea vibe. I also tried it with Amber Nuits by Dior (old bottle) OMG it's like rum city incarnate and I love a good boozy scent, its a deep floral amver with this combo I also tried Delina and that was an off the rocks fabulous rose experience- boozy fruity rose, seriously I don't think theres much you couldn't experiment with here. 🌹

I have worn Angel since it was first released and it has been a love for all these years. My signature scent! Yes, it has changed since its first release but it will always have a place in my heart. To me, Angel is a compliment magnet. It screams confidence and people will know you are there, before they see you, as it leaves a hypnotic Scent trail. This perfume definitely only suits some people, I think it has alot to do with skin chemistry. Alot of my friends love this scent on me and they have tried it from my own bottle and honestly it smells completely different on them, I mean horrid! This is not a safe blind buy, please try first, for me, I knew from the initial spray, it was love at first sight. If you are lucky to remember the old formula, you will know it was a masterpiece. It is still a beautiful creation and it will always be dear to me, to give some context, Angel has been with me through my clubbing years, dating life, break ups, heartache, happy times, giving me confidence on my wedding day, strength on the day of my dear mothers funeral.... you see... Angel has been there, always lingering with her beautiful scent surrounding me at every occassion.

Gay guy here. This perfume stayed with me throughout my life. My mom used to wear it back in the 90s when I was a small child and it was one of my first self purchases. It’s still a performance beast and one in a million type scent. It’s blended so well it smells incredibly heavy and sweet and yet soft. The patchouli and musk used to give it this sweaty twist that grounded it, tho the formula has changed over the years cause many complained it was too much. Today It smells a bit more juvenile like you’ve been at a carnaval faire in a sunny park whilst eating every sugary treat you could find there. but in a sexy way. It’s not one you wear when you go out drinking it’ll stay until you wish you hadn’t put it on pre drinking. If heavy, sweet and edible aren’t for you avoid this, it’s basically the final boss of that! I suggest you try it first. It’s not for everyone yet everyone will reckognize the smell. It’s also really freaking expensive and one of the few that has only gone up instead of down over the years. It’ll last you a long time however cause it’s overpowered and one spray is usually plenty.

I love how polarizing it is. Equal votes love and hate on here. I'll always wonder what bog fairy magic makes it smell terrible on some people and fills them with revulsion and then for some its this amazing pine tree forest of delights. She loves you back immediately or doesn't at all. The most skin dependant perfume ever. Its my favorite fragrance. I search for older vintage bottles online where the juice has turned green from the early 2000s and spray it on sweaters for the full dose...she comes alive during fall and winter nights. The older formulations have this wondeful rich spicey, tree damp earth, sparkly magic. On my skin it smells like sudsey clean forest soap in a frothy rich lather and chai spices. i see nutmeg is listed that note really shines on my skin. I dont get any sweet notes on me at all just pine needles after a ocean rain. Its divine. Texture of velvet dark green leaves, soaked after a cold rain, silky storm petals, damp nights, soft magic incense and potent fertile soil. Shes a rainstorm heaping the forest floor in a bottle for me. May her wearers forever feel Enchanted.

I smelled a vintage version of this in an antique shop and I was stunned: I had never smelt anything like it! The opening was incredibly sweet and spicy it literally made my mouth water: I could definitely smell the patchouli and a lot of sweetness and caramel, I could also catch a lot of fruity notes but I really wasn't sure which fruits because there was so much going on. The smell was so strong the single spray filled up the car on the way home. As it dried down it started to shift and I could clearly smell the berries ans I think some vanilla. That smell stayed strong even after I washed my hands multiple times and was still faintly there a day later after I'd had a shower. Truly such a gorgeous and unique fragrance. At first I thought I hated it but I could not stop smelling my hand it was so lovely and so addictive. It really feels like a maximalist perfume to me: there's so many notes and it is such a powerhouse in term of sillage and longevity. Desperate to get my hands on a bottle but I pray the reformulation won't dissapoint me too much.

Hey guys, just a heads up, that person who made a review the other day about the original formulation not actually being brought back is probably right. I sampled Angel at the mall just a few days ago and I didn't like it because it smelled like straight soil. I went to Sephora at Kohl's near my workplace on my break yesterday, and this time, I tried spraying it on both my skin and the test strip. Both smelled pretty much the exact same. I realized that the problem was most likely not my skin chemistry. Today, I returned to the Macy's and decided to ask one of the store clerks if they had actually brought back the original formulation, citing the rumor on Reddit and the dissent from the reviewer I mentioned. She asked another worker and they said no, and she told me it was most likely just a baseless rumor. Looking forward to sampling the original, I guess? Update: Asked a different worker at a different perfume shop with Angel in stock at that mall, and she said she "didn't know anything about it."

Skip it, leave all the bottles for me because *on me* this is divine, literally giving everything in the comments juicy berries pineapple sweet BO but the BO of a loved one, mud and woods after raining, playful sweet in your face fruity and it shifts to that beautiful patchouli chocolate goodness I have to say i never came across angel before, not popular where i live and i tested different releases of angels the 2024 and 2019 formulas and i love both of them im definitely going to collect all the bottles until i reach the og formula, this is something you need to sit down and smell it deeply before judging just the same way you give all your attention to a movie, because THIS is artsy and there’s no way it was created to be just a boring ass another nice smelling femme perfume, it shocked me in so many ways and I kept testing it for days so i can get to understand it and i did now i even wear it to bed Mugler was so ahead of his time until this day Angel is very polarizing lol

Not since Shalimar have I done such a 180 on a perfume as I have with Angel. I went from hating it so bad veins would stand out at my temples to loving it so much I fear I may need to enter Angel rehab at some point. I am utterly addicted to it and have hoarded every flanker I can get my hands on. I want it all. I want to swim in it, pour a bucket of it over my head and gargle with it. I want to roll around in a pond of it and spew it from happiness like a dolphin. This stuff smells so freaking good to me now I can barely stand it. It is like opium, heroin, crack, crystal meth and bath salts all rolled into one very tacky bottle. But I love it so much the freaked out bottles are even appealing to me now. What was once considered the anti-Christ of perfume to me is now a star shaped blue deity. I worship it and if it was legal to marry a 3.4 ounce bottle of it I would buy it a ring and slap a garter on it and put it on my health insurance policy. Because dayum girl I'm in love.

My first comment on a woman's scent and was surprised to see the debate about this. I think it smells beautiful. Was browsing a perfume store with my partner sampling for a new one she was interested in buying and this one for both of us was in top two. It's probably not surprising we are in early 40's so this style is probably more appealing to old folk lol. I find modern women's perfumes are mostly floral bombs that all smell quite similar but this is unique. End of the day my partner went with Angel. She loves black opium also but saw more versatility in this. It's a patchouli bomb which is quite strong initially but the many supporting notes really help transform it and you can always smell a bit of everything with this. To me I mostly smell Honey, vanilla and the berries definitely with the patchouli and it has an oriental spice to it also. Highly recommend though I understand younger people not liking this.

Mi dispiace molto per chi prova Angel adesso nella sua versione Mugler e lo trova disgustoso. Forse lo sarà. Ma certo non è schifosa la versione anni 90 e 2000 ,che era strepitosa e fino al 2015 era ancora molto buono. Oggi lo sto indossando nella mia versione del 2005,e di certo è un profumone. Ha un bouquet molto ricco e articolato, non sta fermo un momento. Cocco, pesca,miele naturale e non sintetico,dolce caramello,frutti di bosco lucidi e immersi nella cremosa vaniglia golosa, un patchouli caldo e molto scuro fa da base e avvolge tutto. Ha una consistenza cremosa,voluttuosa, una lavanda fresca ed eterea crea una sensazione celeste ariosa. Cioccolato miele caramello e spezie avvolgono il corpo in un'aura sensuale,dolce,calda per ore ed ore. Non è nauseante,non è aggressivo ed è stupendo. Se volete sentire il vero Angel dovete trovare una edizione di prima del 2015 e ancora meglio,degli anni 90.

I understand why people have a dislike towards this perfume, there’s definitely a lot of patchouli in this fragrance but for me personally I absolutely adore the smell of it. For the first couple of hours I get a warm and very subtle earthy smell, but not like dirt it smells very homely and comforting to me. After the patchouli fades away a bit it fades into an incredible honey chocolatey situation with some hints of caramel, and ontop of that if you want a fragrance that does not come off easily and produces an insane scent trail. This one is perfect!! Also would recommend the Angel body lotion to go with this, it smooths the fragrance out so nicely and adds a bit of creamy depth to it [would not reccomend for a buy blind though! smell it on your skin first, not on a card or you won’t get the full effect] Absolutely love my Angel EDP⭐️💙

My dad just died. I never lived with him. We’d often go years without even speaking on the telephone. But my sadness was kind of starting to spin out of control. It didn’t help that it’s holiday season and I’d just had my bazillionth hip surgery either. Some people go to therapy. So talk to friends and family. Some go for long walks. Some journal. I use perfume. For a day or so, my Vaniglia Mazzolari was the comfort I needed. Now it’s time to dust myself off, dry my tears and get myself back together again. Nothing gets me to my badass self quite like the original Angel can. It’s so complicated, powerful, emotive and in charge. It will wear many a woman who isn’t confident or strong enough. You just can’t let it. So if it is to be a success, you have to be on your game and in control. That’s all I came to say. Thanks.

Angel has returned. I purchased a 2026 version from France as it is not yet available here in Australia. Yes, it has been reformulated. The 2020 version was strange.. some days it would smell reminiscent of Angel rather flat but still Angel, and on other days the patchouli would give off a muddy body odor smell that I couldn't shake off. The 2020 version also came across as much more masculine, It was a gamble as I never knew what my nose would register it as on the day. The 2026 L'Oreal version is the closest thing to the CFG version since it was reformulated. I can once again detect berries, honey, and that gorgeous chocolatey patchouli from the very first moment. Sweet cotton candy and earthy but thankfully none of that rancid body odor patchouli that was present in the 2020 version.

Rediscovered this through an old lady who happened to spill her refill bottle on a counter. I used to hate this scent to the core considering my previous taste in perfumes which was simplistic, sweet, and girly. As I matured, I've started to enjoy more "putrid" notes such as patchouli. This scent reeks of patchouli and I love it. What really sold me to get this myself was the aura of the lady who claimed it as her signature scent: the coexistence of her classy appearance and her bold taste made it extremely appealing. Although it smells medicinal to me, it is addictive and so alluring. Not to mention, its projection is beastly: even in a large space, my friend could smell it meters away. Funny how one interaction can change your whole perspective on a scent you despised.

I’m obsessed with angel and it made me broke, it’s funny how my first reaction was this smells a bit masculine to I can’t live without this scent, I’m collecting bottles now so after getting my hands on a vintage early 2000s rising star bottle i feel like this deserves another review as it’s been stripped away all of its character with every reformulation they have done to her throughout the years, it’s INSANE how i can smell VANILLA and goeey CHOCOLATE now and that cotton candy note is so heavenly done??? I usually hate cotton candy in perfume as it smells very disgusting but this here is not like any other perfume and it does smell edible!!!!!!!! all this time i was thinking angel is a nice perfume but i wouldn’t call it a gourmand? it literally made my mouth water

One of my all time favorites. i call this one the "dr pepper of perfumes". dr pepper has 23 ingredients including black licorice, amaretto, almond, vanilla, blackberry, caramel, tomato and molasses. all things that shouldn't work, but do anyway. that is how i feel about the notes in this perfume. Angel is an iconic, chaotic masterpiece. On paper, mixing sharp, medicinal patchouli and bitter bergamot with cotton candy, honey, chocolate, and dark berries sounds like it would be terrible. Angel unapologetically breaks every rule of fragrance composition. It should be a disaster. Instead, it creates a legendary, genre-defining fragrance profile that nothing else can replicate.

I wore Angel in the 90s and early 2000s. It was my signature, but due to the huge success it was at that time, many dupes were launched, many people wearing the same fragrance then, I stopped wearing it and soon replaced it with Alien that was recently launched . Mugler fragrances are unbeatable in longevity and silage. What attracts me most about Angel is that it is very sweet (I love sweet perfumes and I won’t deny) the mixture of chocolate with vanilla broken by patchouli and all those fruity aromas. Nowadays I only wear Angel and Alien for nostalgia. Everybody knows those 2 fragrances, there’s no mystery like: “What perfume is she wearing?”

Love her or hate her, Angel is iconic. This is not a fragrance to be experienced on paper, absolutely not. So if you’re serious about trying her you must put her on the skin. This undoubtedly opens like a BOMB and it’s a lot at first. The magic is in the drydown. On me at least, this settles into a vanilla, chocolate, abstractly sweet, fruitychouli. It smells DIVINE as long as you enjoy sweet scents. Longevity and projection outperforms a lot of fragrances released today. Like most people say, angel is a love her or hate her scent. I don’t think there’s much room for anything in between. I love her! So many compliments!

Does the Angel in Question go out to parties at night, gets drunk and only hangs out in the smoking area, with a vodka soda in left hand and a ciggarete in the right? Just wondering coz this Angel right here isnt holy this is SEXYYY! Its a love it or hate it scent and i LOVE IT! Enough of being a fan boy, This scent is beautifully crafted. Sophisticated,Androgynous & Bold. Hell ton of Patchouli, very sweet, very delicious and 2 sprays will last the whole shift, and the night out, which, i mean, as it should. A 100$ + fragrance should last you without pampering yourself with oils & powder, and this does the job.

I sprayed this today for the first time since the depths of winter, and I was reminded just how much I love this scent and how true to my personality it feels. I have what I assume to be one of the last L'Oréal batches before the recent (AMAZING) reformulation. This smells like if patchouli plants grew juicy red berries which got cooked into a gooey chocolate and caramel brownie. It also has a woody, skin musk accord to it, which I became so nose blind to after wearing it every day - but smelling Angel again today reminded me of how glad I am that this is what people smell on me most of the time :]

I’ve been revisiting perfumes from the past that I never got into. It’s been fun. This is one I distinctly remember thinking was way too overpowering. Now I find it pretty striking in a good way. To me the opening is a strong sweet honey with an indolic twist from the jasmine (I think). There are so many notes, I find it tough to discern them but today I could also smell the pineapple and citruses. While I enjoy the opening and middle, the dry down is what makes it divine. Descriptive words that come to mind are electric patchouli, disco amber, and blue vanilla. So good! I’m on team angel.

I blind bought this a few years ago, and let me tell you, I immediately loved it. I had no idea that people were so divided about loving or hating it. I wore it as my daily for a long time. The unique scent is so intense and powerful, it's addicting. I cannot get enough of how it smells. I think it pushes the boundary of a traditional perfume. It smells how I would imagine a magical potion to smell! Somehow it's sweet, it's sour, it's artificial, it's natural, it's loud, it's softspoken at the same time, which combines in a perfect, weird harmony that blends effortlessly with my skin pH.

Angel is one of those scents that you either love or you hate, and I loveeeeeee her. She packs a PUNCH, and quite literally slaps you in the face with rich spicy sweetness, but that's what I love about her. She lasts FOREVER on skin, and EONS on fabric. One of the best performing perfumes I've ever come across. For a while after I had Covid, I weirdly hated the scent of patchouli, so I had to avoid her for a year or two. I was SO relieved when I started enjoying patchouli again. She's not for everyone, but I will definitely keep her in my collection in some way shape or form forever.

God I can’t wait to have this in my collection. I quite literally think about this fragrance every day. Funny thing is, I used to despise Angel and couldn’t fathom how people would want to smell like it. What was it that changed my mind? I couldn’t precisely say. Maybe my frontal lobe spontaneously developed. Maybe I was in my luteal phase the first couple of times I tried it. Whatever it was, I’m glad it’s over. Perhaps I will indulge in buying this once I (hopefully) succeed in my mock exams. Or more likely I’ll reward myself for (merely) surviving them...

whenever i wear this scent britney spears music play in my mind lollll. no but seriously this is such a sexy sweet polarizing scent thats very playful and too hot to handle. i love that it doesnt satisfy everyone and some people can seriously get disturbed by it because its very strong and polarizing. something about this is so theraputic bcuz growing up everyone was disturbed with my existence so i might aswell disturb u with my scent xx. its actually so hot in the middle east rn but i dont care ill wear this on 10 am cuz i love it, cry about it!!

I tried using A*Men, but im not a coffee person. The original Angel is the single perfume in my collection that lasts and is good with my PH. Tried using it during summer, BAD IDEA, got people near me geeting headaches, while I didn t had any problems The patchouli, caramelized cotton candy and bergamot are very predominant, dont get any fruity or of the floral notes, the cacao and vanilla are definetly prezent. Other than that, it is a very hard perfume to wear for most people, not everyone s skin reacts the same to it.

I love this fragrance, the bottle is so fun and feels like a magical experience when u spray on, I enjoy the scent so much on my skin, when I sprayed it the first things that come out are cotton candy, melon and a bit of citruses, the cottond candy and melon stays for a bit more to fuse with the honey, chocolate and vanilla, what I love about this perfume is that the sweetness it's perfectly balanced with patchouli, I have been loving this perfume for 12 years now. <3 it's perfect for cold days and nights

If you can’t get, or have never tried, the old Angel formulation, try layering the new, impoverished version, with a drop of Bianco Latte, you might be surprised. For more fruity facets, layer it with Burberry Her Intense; for a zesty touch, add Mancera Lemon Line. If you love Angel and patchouli works like magic on your skin, feel free to experiment by adding gourmand perfumes you find too simple or lacking extravagance or quality, even what's left from Angel, is alive deep under and can be resurrected.

First time I tried Angel about 20 + years ago I truly hated it. It was nice on others, but didn't work well on my skin. A few weeks back my friend offered me a sample and I hesitantly took it. The next day I literally sprayed it twice on my neck & I was pleasantly surprised. It lasted on me good 6+ hours, I had lots of compliments and more importantly I actually started to enjoy scent I used to hate. It's truly warm & comforting. I will wear it on a cold day/evening as it's highly polarising.

OMG, I absolutely love that this is my very first Angel Mugler fragrance! Every time I wear it, I can't stop biting my lips because it smells so unbelievably good. I've received so many compliments, and people always tell me it's unique and unlike the typical fragrances everyone else wears. I'm truly in love with this purchase. Even though it was a blind buy, it turned out to be one of the best fragrance purchases I've ever made. It was 100% worth it, and I can't wait to keep wearing it!

This might be my favorite fragrance ever and I can understand why people hate it. For the past 6 years I have had a vintage empty open bottle sitting in my hair jewelry drawer And every time I open the drawer the scent is intoxicating. It is subtle but there and I always smell it. It's amazing. Another scent that is doing the same thing in another drawer and I don't even have a bottle of this. This is an empty sample. It's just almost hard to believe so bizarre but Narcotica.

How beautiful it is. So chocolate with fruity, subtle top and shining so many delectable notes. For the first hour it is a perfect chocolate scent with sweet, powdery snow around. Later this note goes away and changes into cotton candy. A bit too strong for the first hour but then it calms down and retains satisfying sillage. One of the true parfums with a lot going on. For the most feminine dreamers.

I love it so much. Basically been wearing it nonstop since November when I first discovered that I actually love it. I used to think it was disgusting because the patchouli smelled musty. I finally tried it on skin and gave it time to dry down and I am addicted. Angel is very tricky though and can smell musty depending on placement/weather. It does best on my forearms.

I absolutely love the way Angel smells on me. Every note dances together so well on my skin. And ooooo that dry down and the base notes that last til I shower 24 hours later are sooo scrumptious! The longevity is eternal for me when my skin usually eats fragrances! Im going to have to buy the newest formulation and try that. I have a bottle made in 2017 and I love it.

just smelled a 2011 batch.... this completely SHITS on whatever the newest version is. new one is like a dirty peach. The best I can describe it. the 2011 batch smells heavenly, airy, fruity and sweet.... maybe not as NUCLEAR as the 90s version (never smelled) but this DNA is def top 3 in my collection. heard they are bringing the og formula back so we'll see!

This is a fascinating fragrance that smells like chocolate, pine, dark liquor, and Christmas. In large doses and at the wrong time of year, you will utterly nauseate yourself and everyone else within a two-mile radius. In small doses, around the holiday season, you will, in fact, smell like a joyously festive Angel. Truly a work of art - I absolutely love it.

I have loved Angel for years I do miss the 90’s version desperately a few years ago I went and repurchased it, as my bottle was done. I returned it thinking something was wrong with the perfume. Only after deep diving did I realize that they had reformulated :( Longing for an OG angel scent Still love it though and always get compliments

Oh, Angel! What a beautiful masterpiece of a scent! I absolutely love Angel. It is my signature scent and will forever live in my perfume rotation. Despite the reformations over the years I still find Angel unbelievably beautiful. Yes, it changed a little bit but the essence is the same. It’s also a huge compliment getter for me.

Never smelled the OG formulation, but this is dope and will always be a favorite! Angel is a fragrance you just have to experience for yourself. Soft, powdery fruit cocktail with dark notes of patchouli and chocolate. Well balanced and cohesive. Beast mode. It would have been amazing to smell the original in the 90s!

Someone has probably already said this, but this Angel is no little Renaissance cherub baby. This Angel is Biblically accurate. This is a Cherubim wielding a flaming sword. I sprayed it, and when I fell to my knees it told me, "Do not be afraid," but I was still afraid. I love it. I'm gonna buy some more.

i tested this at a sephora yesterday n at first i thought it was too intense n not sweet at all but after a bit of time it was very sweet n pleasant. i kept sniffing my arm for hours 😭 it smelled mostly of vanilla which i love. after a day im still thinking ab it n i lowkey need it now. this shit fye 🗣

its fine for u to hate this but u can never deny that this is an iconic scent that INVENTED the gourmand at a time where no one even thought sm like that was ever gonna happen. perfume is opinion based and its highly subjective, if it was actually bad it wouldnt be one of the most sold perfumes ever.

I think I just fell in love.. so so absurdly distinctive - smells like no other, and I adore that. I’m shocked I haven’t smelt this on anyone! I LOVE patchouli, and the sweetness of this as well... I can’t stop sniffing my wrist 😩😩 full bottle will be in my collection as soon as I have a day off!
