Mirror Mirror Collection - Miroir des Joyaux

In the beginning I get a lot of sweet notes, which are not overly sweet because they are underlined with an almost medicinal note (oud) but it fades away very quickly in the first like 10min. Later on the scent is developing into something really nice, it then reminds me of Pure Havane or even Back to Black but it's still pretty different, so don't expect it to be an clone or so. For me, this one is perfeclty unisex altough If a women wears it, I could never ever imagine wearing this, but still it is well balanced! What I also noticed is, that it can be cloying if you overspray and I would only wear this in the colder month (not only in the winter time but it shoulnd be summer imo). I get the rose and the nutmeg...but other than that all the other notes are not that easy to detect, like I said it's sweet and has a very nice cola/honey/cherry base which is a little bit diffeent from what is aviable in the market. My final rating for the smell is a 8 (on the logn term I think this is a very good 7,5) Why? Because there is not that much of an developement... The longevity and sillage is very good! 8-12 hours with an very good sillage (espcially in the first 3-4 hours) and then it settles to a nice soft sweet scent! :) The bottle is also very nice! the cap has a lot of weight to it and you can unscrew the sprayer which is perfect for filling it into an travel atomizer. Mirror Joyeaux is a modern oriental based around patchouli, cedar wood and guiac wood. Its very heavy heliotrope, so it keeps this a dry vanillic sweet. The bourbon pepper and nutmeg add texture but this isn't a spice bomb. The rose joins in and harmonizes the scent. The oud is gentle. Id classify this as a Oriental Woody Floral. (says on the box) Its a soft smooth scent. I haven't quite come across this configuration before so those that want to wear something unique.. this is right up your alley. Perhaps you wanted a more feminine powdery twist on the rose/oud combo ..this would be a good option. If u love L'huere Blue from Guerlain this should be an easy fit. It is interesting to note that Joyeaux does not come in the wood mirror box that Majestes and Voluptes were housed in. So if your a collector, bear that in mind. IMO due to the large heliotrope presence, this is far away from Voluptes which is a spicy rose oud. Unisex. Update: More I wear it, the more beautiful it is. Its not my typical style but won me over.

As with most Muglers, Joyaux takes a few wearings to really get into. It is more of a mild-mannered niche-style scent than Mugler's typical weird-but-wearable fare. Joyaux opens with the scent of honeyed tobacco, reminiscent of thick and dark scents like Alkemia Miel Sauvage et Tabac and Tauer Vanilla Flash. It's dense and dripping with sweetness. Through the drydown it becomes less sweet and more complex, with a wispy high-pitched oud and sharp pepper peeking out. The far drydown is smoothly blended and deeply woodsy, with a polite patchouli, sweet, sappy guaiac, light oud, and a tinge of spice. At times, I can catch a powdery heliotrope. Joyaux is best suited for cooler weather, due to it's heavy nature, which is cloying in hot and humid environments. Again, Joyaux does not fit in with Mugler's typical style (See Angel, Alien, Aura, and even A-Men), and skews more towards your average niche or high-end designer, but as with other Muglers, it is something I cannot help but come back to sniff.

I bought this because I've really liked a majority of Mugler's perfumes and I didn't know what oud was. Also, since I didn't know what oud was, I didn't want to fork out the money to buy the discontinued Alien Oud. I actually really like this. I love these heavier woodsy scents and the "barnyard" scent really isn't too bad. I don't think it smells poopy but I do think it does make me picture straw in a barn.

I have had this scent for a long time. It was still in its box unused. Until today. What a marvelous, enticing and spicy rose. This woody roses, black pepper, incense, sparks and midnight in a bottle. Very long lasting, elegant and sexy. This is not for little girls, this screams womanhood, dressed to kill and wearing stilettos. Black dress and diamonds kind of scent.

A pretty oriental, with a characteristic Mugler flavor. I like the mellowness, sans dreaded blast of Oudh, which is present in just the right proportion. As it dries down, it retains a sharp edge to it. It's pretty much a conjoined twin to Majestes. They are both overpriced for what they are. But still, wearable on cold days.

Wow...one of the perfect oriental - rose patchouli combo! So intense and so much roses with touch of oud and spices! I tried to wear it in the summer and spring but it is so heavy..and poisonous long lasting...thats way, I will try it in cold seasons...maybe then I will find the charm of this suprerb beauty.

I wore this one time and a coworker said, "You smell like a hot Egyptian lady." And I'm not 100% sure what that was supposed to mean, but I took it as a compliment. 😂 I like to layer this with Alien to get something close to Alien Oud Majesteux. The combo is actually stronger and beastier than Alien Oud.

I love it. I cannot really break it by notes, it's pretty much a very spicy rose with a lot of woody notes. It does smell a lot like Miroir Des Majestes, even though there're no similarities in the notes. That's my only Mugler scent, and I'm very happy with it.

After three hours.... A sweetness is emerging, drowning the sharpness! Which makes me happy. It's the Rose coming through. Now I feel a compelling presence of a perfume I might come to love! Pity the lasting power is a bit weak.

I bought this one after my purchase of the original Aura when it first released and love it just as much. If the og Aura is a spring juice, this is more a summer juice imo. Love all the auras :)

The dry-down smells like scented eraser and brings me to my childhood... That's why I love this fragrance...

A composition built around rose, heliotrope, and woods, clearly leaning into an oriental style. The opening carries a slight peppery sharpness. Bergamot is present but not particularly noticeable. Very quickly, a dense and somewhat sweet rose comes forward, giving an impression reminiscent of more traditional perfume styles. The real focus lies in the heart. Heliotrope takes center stage, and its gentle powderiness rounds out the structure. Nutmeg adds a sense of warmth that becomes especially noticeable in colder weather or indoor settings. The oud here functions mainly as a supporting element, with relatively low prominence. In the drydown, patchouli and cedar establish a woody base. The scent becomes drier, while the warm powdery tone settles onto the wood, creating a lasting foundation. Projection is moderate rather than bold, but longevity is strong. It falls into the category of fragrances that remain comfortable and wearable over extended periods.

Ok so I’ve literally have been spraying this on me for the past two days testing to see what I think... I love it I also have MDM and I’m obsessed with it ! So naturally I checked this one out! Yes! It does smell similar to MDM with the way the sweetness hit your nostrils. Once the oud note fades This one is more cherry honey tobacco with a nuance of almond because of the Heliotrope. The dry down smells of rose, tobacco & cedar. To give it just a little bit more sweetness I layered it with choco musk (ya welcome) and it was a success. This is everything I wanted calligraphy Rose to be and without the saffron (thank god).

Apart from the burst of camphor at the start, this to me is very much like Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet. The camphor dissipates reasonably soon after application, and the patchouli and rose kick in, intertwined with woody notes giving this an oriental twist. I’d love to know if anyone else is getting the same Oud Bouquet vibe. Am getting a very slight heliotrope, almost obliquely if that makes sense, but it’s not the star of this show. Good sillage and longevity. A bit of a powerhouse this one.

It’s hard to distinguish single notes for me, but it has the feel of spicy potpourri or pipe tobacco. Thick, rich, a bit 90s retro. There’s a slightly dried fruit chewiness and I would say an amber base but it isn’t listed in the notes. Definitely a cool/cold weather fragrance. Very cozy but heavy as a warm blanket. In the same vein as Kenzo Jungle, Chanel Coco, Roberto Cavalli edp, Givenchy Hot Couture, etc.

Awful fragrance to me; smelled like cough syrup and had to scrub off after one spray. Couldn't detect any heliotrope at all. Not for me.

At first I thought, wow, how interesting! Oud, heliotrope, and patchouli. I've never really seen this combo before, and I love all three of those notes, so I thought it would be perfect! But now I realize why no one ever puts those 3 together haha. I want to first say I am a HUGE Mugler fan, and also a big fan of the Miroir Series, so I was excited to try this one. But I think the heliotrope ruins it. The first spray was nice and I got a lovely, rich, camphorous patchouli, but then after a few minutes, all I could smell was a headache-inducing baby powder scent coming from the heliotrope. I adore heliotrope, but in large quantities it can really be overwhelming, and in this case, it takes over the whole composition. I much prefer my other Miroir perfumes- Majestes, Envies, and Dis Moi Mirroir.

Nag Champa incense is my first impression. We are in the 3rd week of a 40 degrees plus heat wave so the bottle did arrive a tad warm. (our cold tap water is hot. ) After cooling the bottle and myself run through a cold shower (lukewarm at any rate) reapply and I get a hint of flowers with sweetness but still enough incense to make this a true unisex perfume. I stand by my first impression, it has a very Nag Champa vibe. Mugler made a perfume for hippies. Cool man. The bottle is stunning, heavy glass. Scent 6.5 /10 I judge a bit harsh on incense-y perfume I prefer more church than hippy shop. Bottle 10/10 - lovely.

I was in doubt when I bought this. This was a second choice to Miroir des Majestes, which I have tried now for a couple of days. I couldn't get my hand on the MTM anywhere, but stumbled upon this. After reading some reviews and seeing the comparison to MTM I went for it. AND WOW! I LOVE THIS. It's really similar to MTM. The only thing that seperate the two are the more prominant oud note in this. It's slightly barnyardy, at least on me. Some ouds tend to go that way on me. But it's not a problem at all, I think the oud make the fragrance more complex. Such a wonderful blindbuy. Bubblegum and a touch of oud. Sexy!

Try try TRY as I might I cannot shake the feeling I smelled this before in the 80s or 90s. Every time I wear it I want to put on a puff shouldered angora sweater and mid-calf boots. This one is NOT part of the Angel, Alien, Aura trifecta and really has nothing much in common with them. It’s a very nice spicy woody scent and totally wearable. Even the bottle looks like something Stevie Nicks would have on her dresser. If you or someone you know is fond of the more woody 90s throwbacks get this for them.

the opening was slightly dissapointing..as it dries down its like a refined Alien or Angel to my nose.its nice but i was expecting more..bottle is beautifull and the price ok.today i think i missjudged it.i said i was expecting more but i wasnt patient enough.its a fantastic perfume .it just needs its time to charm you compeletely..i gave it time .it earned my respect

C'mon guys, let's get more reviews here! I want to know how prominent the heliotrope is. It's not my favourite note by any means! I'd have blind bought this over the Miroir de Voluptes if it wasn't for the heliotrope!

This on my skin is assertively cherry tobacco, with a bit of oud. It's sophisticated and unisex -- just gorgeous! I got this on Overstock for $44.49 and it was well worth that price.

This fragrance is absolutely stunning! It's so well blended, that I voted "noticeable" for all the notes. On my skin, it smells like honey.
