@muncierobson the same thing happened to me with my instinct star after about 2 uses the dauber snapped off in my hand (i was very gentle with it too) and i couldn’t get the stopper/dauber out of the bottle so i decided to just leave the dauber stuck in the bottle and super glue the top back onto it and now i use it as a display piece. such a shame because the bottles are so beautiful.

I think Angel is more an iconic symbol of innovation and futurism than a perfume. Who can love and wear this without feeling like an edgy galactic diva from another universe walking between mortals? I often want to wear skinny jeans, leather jacket, high heeled ankle boots and bad-ass attitude with Angel. The extrait is more edible than the original with pronounced chocolate and much less berries and honey. And no in your face patchouli either! Also it doesn't project that much, it's less of a rollercoaster of notes, more mellow and friendly. Welcomed addition.

I WISH I smelt the honey and chocolate and caramel and, damn, even VANILLA. ALL I can smell is cinnamon *blink* And it's not even in the list of notes. How is that possible? Could tonka be coming through dry cinnamon-ish?

I was extremely excited to get my hands of a 10ml angel extrait from 2004 (instinct star). As it's not listed on fragrantica I decided to put my review on the three listed - each with different notes but I'm SURE the same scent... The bottle was beautiful and the glass dabbed exquisite... imagine my SHOCK as it snapped off in my hand after a couple of applications!!! I had to carefully chisel my beautiful bottle with a hammer and nail to remove the rod and decant the precious juice... #beyondsad I bought it to wear but still.. it was 270 of 4200, and came in a black velvet box and a handwritten certificate! The scent itself is incredibly smooth and chocolate and honey heavy. Like halfway between liqueur and taste of. The patchouli is turned down a LOT. Sits closer to skin but lasts a very long time. This is 14 years old and starting to darken so performance is bound to have been affected. Still smells divine! I'm very glad to have it, most people will just think it is regular angel. If you are a connoisseur however... or an angel/mugler fan....

This one is very smooth, like a thicker more rounder version, less patchouli and a little richer and sweeter. Like liquid honey over chocolate , I love this one and one dab is enough to smell amazing. Two if you want others to smell it and more if you are going out for dinner or dancing. It's very stubble in fact especially if lightly applied. It lasts however for a very long time. I can smell it the next day still, like sweet honey , very nice. It has more similarities to liquer than to original.

This version of Angel extrait de parfum smells like a muskier version of the EDP on me. I perceive it as essentially Angel with less patchouli, with musk amped up and a underlying booziness throughout, as if some stale alcoholic drink was spilled near me. I don't love it, but the bottle is exquisite and looks beautiful on a dresser. Sillage and longevity are good.

Since this is the same scent as the original angel, Im just going to comment on the bottle. I saw this in person today at nordstroms. Fantastically gorgeous!!! This is what a bottle with a perfume inside called angel should look like! Now the perfume on the other hand.... not so much :)

There seems to be some confusion regarding the scent of this perfume... This is NOT the same scent as original Angel. They are similar, yes, but not exactly the same. They both have slightly different notes. This one is a much fruitier version of Angel, with slightly less patchouli

It does look like a gorgeous bottle, I hope that I see it sometime. I for one like Angel...in small small doses and in just the right weather, and when I am in just the right mood....which isn't often. :)
