Womanity Aqua Chic

@AlexandraTroush Womanity Aqua Chic was released in 2013 and discontinued within a couple of years of its release. Unfortunately, it is highly doubtful that the sample you received is authentic. Indeed, I can confirm that Aqua Chic does not smell even remotely like Acqua Di Gioia. It's an aquatic EDT version of Womanity, where Womanity can be perceived as polarising and aggressive, Aqua Chic, by contrast, is very courteous and demure. I'd classify it as a woody aquatic which is light and airy, like a gentle sea breeze. There are hints of the OG, but it is not polarising in the least and is very wearable. Performance is typical for an EdT, giving roughly 4-6 hours of wear.

I stopped by the Mugler counter yesterday to test this, among other perfumes.. I sprayed it and I could immediately smell the coriander.. As I walked around to search for other fragrances to test, a woman stopped me and said: that's it! Smells divine! What are you wearing ? When I told her she looked at me with disbelief (given the general dislike of the original womanity, I'm guessing?). She walked to the aisle to test it for herself. I proceeded home to test the longevity of this summer scent with no purchase.1 hour ago, it is still on, smelling very fresh and enticing... Who knows? I might get a bottle...

A lovely flanker. Spicier so could wear in winter, less fresh & fruity than the other variants. Not good for a blind buy as the spice isn't for everyone but l loved it. My winter Womanity. Sad l can't get it anymore.

I was preparing myself for some old-school Mugler craziness before spraying this on, but imagine my surprise when it smelled exactly, and I mean EXACTLY, like Acqua di Gioia (Giorgio Armani). Not like a flanker to AdG, no no. Like the OG. Exactly like it. And my husband wears AdG so I should know. I got a 3ml decant of it, but from a reputable store, so I don't think they accidentally gave me a decant of AdG. Unless? Is anybody else smelling AdG in here? I'm almost tempted to get another decant from the same store to see if it really does smell like AdG, or if they accidentally gave me the wrong one. In any case, if what I got really is Womanity Aqua Chic, it's a perfectly unisex freshie, imo slightly more masculine. Sharp, invigorating citrus opening, sweet mojito-like body, long lasting laundry detergent base. It doesn't remind me of Womanity or Womanity Eau pour Elles at all (both of which I own and love). If anything, it reminds me a bit of Angel Sunessence EDT Legere (another older Mugler, and it oddly fits the Womanity family better than it does the Angel family, imo), it's in the same vein of zesty, almost bitter citrusy opening and a squeaky clean body. No coriander, no spices. I'd love to know if anybody else can smell the AdG in here. :)

In cold weather it smells masculine, fresh and sharp, a little bit metallic. Coriander seeds and berries... A nice, slightly aromatic fruity unisex fragrance. I like it, but it's better in the summer, when it's fruity and sweet, almost like an ice cream. In the winter, you can detect the Womanity notes in a second, but in the summer, it's like a summer Escada plus a drop of Womanity. Well, 80-20%, to be more exact. I just love it. Love the winter "face" of it, when it's metallic and cool, distant and unique. And love the summery sweet "face", when it's like a super fancy and expensive fruity cocktail. It still has a little bit of the distance keeper cold notes (Womanity), but it just makes it classy. BIG LOVE <3
