Womanity Les Parfums de Cuir

What a beautiful limited edition. Yes it's still Womanity with the figs, fig leaves, caviar with aquatic notes as some would consider salty, but this rendition has beautiful incense or spiciness to it. It's a bit smoother and easier to wear but from the box to the bottle it's top notch. Everything smells of leather which is why it's so much smoother but it's not too far off from the original. Yet I could see many really loving this version the most because it's a bit more different from the others. Longevity is good about 5-7 hours minimum and on clothes can last longer and sillage is really good past arm's length. I wish I had bought many of these when they were selling them by the truck loads at Tjmaxx for a more affordable price. This is definitely a gem I missed out on getting back-up's and thankfully I attained one, but it is becoming hard to find. But I do have plenty of Womanity to last a life time..it's one of my all time fragrances. This is worth having if you found Womanity to hard to wear and needed it a bit toned down I think all would like this version.

Womanity Les Parfums de Cuir opens with a strong sweet fig scent, very delicious and makes me mouthwatering. Then the salty caviar becomes more and more intense during the first hour, and at one point turns the whole scent incredibly salty while still remaining savoury. It then slowly calms down into a balance between fig and salty notes, thanks to leather that blends them in. The leather is easier to detect towards the drydown but not enough to be picked as a distinctive note to my nose. The whole scent is quite similar to the original, at least closer than the Taste of Fragrance. But it's sweeter in fig, more intensive, almost gourmand in a gastronomic way. It's also less weird and a little eaiser to appreciate IMO, though it still requires a certain taste. If you're interested in Womanity but don't like the crisp and raw aspect in the original, this leather version could be a good alternative. However, like Angel LPdC, the leather note doesn't stand out either in Womanity version. This should be considered if you're looking for a leather prominent fragrance.

Surprise This I got as a present from a lovely Parisienne which I see each year during a few months regularly in the south of France, she brings each year perfumes from Paris with for me. So last year she gave me this fragrance, I wore it the same evening for going out to have dinner with a friend, he asked me what I was wearing, he liked it, I did not like this fragrance so much, today I was busy with my treasures and I remembered that I thought last year that it was to masculine, so I said , “you liked this, it is more unisex, so here you can have it, he sprayed it and after a few minutes I thought, this smells so good on him, so I sniffed and sniffed, I said please give me the bottle back to try it on my skin, SURPRISE also on my skin it is very good.....I took the bottle back, it is mine again and I won’t leave it anymore...

This is the holy grail version of Womanity for me. It smells like the original but warmer and more luxurious. I also like the Taste version because it gives Womanity warmth but this version gives it opulence. My favorite from the leather collection. I feel like the leather works the best with Womanity for some reason. I am a huge Angel fan but for the cuir line I am going to have to go with Womanity as my favorite. Something about it that makes me go wow. I just love it. Only drawback is that on my skin it doesn't seem to last as long as the original. That version is a power horse. But as far as scent, this version is fantastic. I still can't believe I have converted into a Womanity lover after dismissing it for so long. Boy did I ever do a 180. Ended up hoarding the stuff in every version.

Oh God... I'm on a roll with limited edition Muglers lately. I did not expect to like Womanity as much as I do, as I'm a certified Angel addict. Womanity is as polarizing as it is addictive. It is unlike anything I have smelled before. Sweet, salty, fresh, metallic and warm. This fragrance is not gourmand but for some reason, it whets my appetite! And I just love the leather element. The leather note gives the fragrance a deeper, well-rounded feel. The leather certainly tones down the caviar note, and adds a unisex quality to the fragrance. I cannot stop smelling my wrist, and I can already hear my stomach grumble... Now excuse me, I'll have to gorge on a slab of steak.

Perhaps it's been too long since I've smelled the original Womanity or perhaps it's because Mugler flankers are so, so, so closed to their original parents, but I can't tell much of a difference between this and the original Womanity. If you're wanting to try this to escape the weirdness of Womanity, I don't think it'll be a good experience. That being said, I love Womanity so I was quite happy to have this limited edition flanker. It's the same as the original to me, but in beautiful packaging. Mugler knows how to add eye-candy to his boxes, bottles, and packaging for sure.

Womanity Les Parfums de Cuir - stunning beauty! The original Womanity instantly won me over with its eccentricity and unique scent. Adding this leather note elevated an already beautiful scent to another level where everything is utterly sexy, dark, rich and luscious. I love the package but the color of the juice, I close my eyes and I envision it to be more of a plumy type of color. I agree that longevity is not in keeping with the original but still very long lasting with amazing sillage.

A great fragrance that wasn't easy to get hold of. I am familiar with womanity and this much deeper and richer. You get the ripe fig with its foliage and leather in equal strength. I particularly like the sea thing going on from the caviar. I think it would have been too heavy without the fig leaves. They add the necessary "green" element. This is perfect for chilly days. I think this is perfectly unisex so don't miss out fellas. Moderate sillage and longevity.

I love this, but I love Womanity and the Taste of Fragrance version I have as well. For me, the saltiness is toned down significantly, the leather is very present, and I get a combination of something peppery/cinnamony as the primary note. It's got a chypre feel to it, and the sillage is very noticeable. Got two compliments already and it's only 11 am. It's a more sophisticated take on Womanity, suitable for evening but still wearable in the daytime.

This winter it is my favourite Womanity. Pour Elles coming second. It is so refined, hosted in a gorgeous bottle, a true gem. The leather note is so buttery.smooth and elegant. Perfect to balance out the salty caviar. The fig fruit and tree notes give it warmth and dimention. Lovely. I feel.it on next day. At least 24hours

I don’t like Womanity. There. I said it. No takebacks or apologies. I know it’s popular and I have tremendous respect for Mugler, but Womanity is ‘not my thing’. And yet... this edition is intruiging. The leather note is lovely, it reminds me of home where I have my horses stabled and the tack room next to it, with all the leather saddles etc. The fragrance is outspoken and very animalic, though it softens up a bit after you applied it on the skin and let it blend in a while. It is a small bottle (30ml), but you don’t need much so it will probably last you quite some time. Surprisingly, it has quite a high rating. The reason for it may be that only the people rate it that a. Are major Mugler/Womanity fans or b.took the effort to find it and probably knew they would like it. If a or b applies, the chances are quite high that the experience is positive. But be warned, this is not an easy-going fragrance that is a guaranteed hit with everyone. Also lots of people saying it is very similar to the original one. Well, maybe if you are a fan of that one and know it inside and out, this fragrance has a very familiar ring to it. In my case, it is different enough for me to like it ;-)

Apparently I ended up being the only owner of this particular edition, who doesn't get the prominent leather note. To me it remains promised leather and that's about it. I don't have it delivered really. While I do like it, the Taste of Fragrance edition remains my absolute favorite from the line, with it's extra juicy, savory-sweet impression. That's probably why I always had a cherry pie mental image while wearing it. Juicy, savory and sweet... Oh well, I used it up pretty quickly. Heck, it was my No 1 summer fragrance, but this one, this tiny bottle has stayed with me for a long time now. It just doesn't bear the magic. Indeed it feels like a salty kiss. It's potent. It's the good ole Womanity, still it doesn't give any added value to it. I wish it actually smelled like the respective leather pouch it comes with. Now that's what I love giving a deep roll-back-eyed sniff to. That thing is something that provides the oomph, when I bury my nose in it, inhaling deeply. I wish my Cuir Womanity smelled like the actual pouch. Now that's the leather that picked up the tangy, marine vibe.

Today arrived my lovely swap and I felt like a child at Christmas, holding this cute bottle in my hands, its really beautiful piece of perfumery art – this bottle and leather bag with box. In many cases if we adore the bottle – half of business is done, isn't it, we more likely will react positively on the smell as well. I wanted to get out of my vintage-oriental-rosy comfort zone, so I went for that swap blindly, plus after Alien more than 7 years ago I never had any Mugler's fragrance. And here we go, let's the friendship begin!) Womanity Cuir is very adventurous, carnivorous smell for very lively person, apart of sweet suedy-leather I detect scent of green-tree bark in those amber drops, if some of you still remember times, when green-trees were taken straight from the forest. I suppose that's how saltiness of caviar with labdanum turns out on me) It is also smoky-spicy-liquorish, which again makes you think of winter holidays in mountains. Hope to test now Mirror Mirror Collection, who knows, maybe it will turn out I will be Mugler's converted fan)

I think this is my first time formally wearing it, and I must agree with "shushkin"right below that it could be unisex, although not too many guys would venture to wear it or could put up with it. I tried a kind of different last minute layer up combination, I applied lavishly Davidoff Cool Water, and since I did not want to smell too ordinary, I applied 5 small spritzes of this Jewel, and oh well Davidoff died of jealousy lol, and mostly Womanity stood out. I smell a nice cinnamon note during the opening, but that note is not listed, so I wonder which of the of the listed notes smell like cinnamon or if they just not listed it on. I think is a very nice perfume, and I'm glad I got the 3 of the Cuir collecction.

I liked this edition of Womanity well enough, although for me it's the least different from the original in comparison to the other "Parfums de Cuir." The leather is noticeable but blended well with the sweet notes of fig and labdanum, as well as the bitter woody notes. The leather seems to smooth the whole composition out, in a warm and inviting way. The oceanic vibe of the original is toned down quite a bit here, which may make this version more appealing to some. I already have a full bottle of the Taste of Fragrance edition of Womanity, which still stands as my favourite version. For the time being, I'm fully satisfied with my bottle of ToF.

Richer, more anamalic and thick than the original. I am loving it, its more dynamic I don't really smell the traditional leather note in this but i do smell cinnamon for some reason. Not a lot and i actually like it. And i do still love the original and think that it suits more everyday but this one is for special times, times you really want to feel amazing or make an impression.

I agree, this is not a random perfume and as someone below commented it has an open door for masculinity because of the leather, although I rather say the door may be just unlocked and barely open, ;-)

I adore Womanity and I'd say it's an intensive Womanity smell with leather-dusty- sweetish notes... It's weird in good way.It's very bold fragrance and not recommended neither to those who dislike Womanity neither for blind buy. But if you are fan of W., go for it!

I've never understood Womanity. I found nothing to appreciate in the fragrance besides the unusual name and bottle. I decided to chance a blind buy of the Cuir version, hopeful it would warm her up. It didn't. I'm going to try to give you a visual of how I interpret this scent. It's a bit gory and graphic, but all in fun. Strictly going by names, Womanity should be called Alien and Alien should be called Womanity. Womanity IS alien. Oh, she's a woman but she's not human. Womanity Les Parfums de Cuir: Not covered in warm skin and soft flesh. Rather, she is made of cold hard steel dotted with salty dried tears and metallic dried blood. Blood from wounds inflicted by the leather riding crop she welds. She wears no curves. Everything about her is severe angles. Hard. Cold. Merciless. A sci-fi "Mommie Dearest" I see her, huge and towering, while leather-clad human drones scurry around her, worshipping her, trying to please her. Then, as is her want, she reaches down and grabs an unfortunate human in her metal claw. The others can only cower in horror as she rips the human's heart from it's chest. And she feasts. Interesting what daydream visuals scents can bring. For those who can pull this scent off, I am in awe of you. Now, please don't feast on my heart. xoxo

A regret buy from me. Sadly I find it sour and peppery however the leather/suede is sexy. It's a "thick" scent which I deteste. I have salty skin so wearing Womanity Cuir doesn't do much for me. Womanity doesn't unfold into what I would describe as welcoming. Womanity is a statement fragrance. It is a F#$k You to the ordinary. It is allowing you to speculate and ask if you dare then answering you by flashing you its underwear. I admire it but I don't like it. I respect the hell out of it but I'd never acknowledge it again. This perfume is a scandal.

30. october 2012 To me this is just a regular "womanity" with even more intense notes of everything. Caviar included. So that ́s why i don ́t really like it that much. The leather accord just accentrates that caviar note and that turns me competly off sadly. I almost loved last year "tast of fragrance Womanity" and also think that that was THE best version of Womanity. Greart lasting power though and sillage as well, i had to wash it off several times to get completely rid of it on my skin.

I just got this bottle for the reasons of being a collector and seeing the take of leather in womanity...and here is what i see if your trying to decide if it's worth buying cause it is discontinued and hard to get..first off the bottle is gorgeous and you can smell this fragrance right from the box the womanity plus the leather and it comes in a small box and the bottle is enclosed in a leather pouch and the bottle and fragrance is gorgeous.. now i went online looking to reviews and it was said online that this was the best out of the womanity line because of the leather..but i have to disagree..if you are a die hard fan of Womanity like I am and you know the fragrance very well and love it like i do and you love the boldness and freshness of the fig fruit with the fig green leaves and the freshness of the aquatic notes that make this smell like you are smelling figs and their green leaves as your at the beach and you smell the beach air in the wind your going to note some differences with this fragrance..this is great but not as intense and takes away from all that intensity and freshness..in my opinion if you find womanity to be too polarizing then this may actually be the fragrance for you because the leather tones all this down...do I personally like that it's toned down and not as loud? No..i like the originality of Womanity so i love its fruity freshness and its boldness but do you smell leather in this...yes..and this leather goes great with it and adds to the fragrance.. but it's not a bold leather it kinda just blends in with the rest of the notes than stand out and it makes the blend in what many might believe is smoother but in reality it takes away from the fragrance the fruitiness and boldness i love...so I personally was hoping this fragrance was going to leave that character of womanity there..which it does but not as powerful as the original..so while i love this bottle for collectors purposes i will always stick with the original womanity..so after womanity pour elles is the best and then this one would be next..pour elles is the most different out of them all outside of the original Womanity..but I do really like this version of womanity even though it's so close to it.. this bottle is basically womanity plus leather with a little added spices reminiscent of the coca cola spices we smell in youth dew which i like... it slightly adds a nice touch and i could of seen that being put in the original Womanity too cause it does add to the fragrance and makes it smell even more awesome..but thats it.. a toned down womanity..so that is why i say if the original was too much you may like this more where as die hard fans of the original may find this lacking a bit but still a nice take on it..ok here is to better compare.. Like for example with the infamous glorious Shalimar...when you smell that fragrance with the leather..that leather is there bam in your face unapologeticially..and with the spices and citrus vanilla its so interesting to get leather in your face like that so well blended in..that is what i was looking for in this but found it lacking..it needed more leather and more continued strength with womanity to stay..with Shalimar the leather does not take away from the other notes...so i was kinda expecting the same thing here and didn't get it..imagine though if it had delivered in that way..it would have been up there with Shalimar for originality in this time period...but this just didn't deliver in that way as Shalimar does with it's blend...not to say this isn't an exceptional fragrance it is...but for me personally it was lacking...and with that I'm kinda on the fence as to whether getting the other Muglers like taste of fragrance or the liqueur lines will be worth it enough..i tried the alien liqueur of 2009 and that was wonderful to me and i tried the 2013 angel liqueur and that was liqueur but it was just a juicier angel and wasn't really that different for me to buy it although i would say if you want a strong version of angel that would be the one and i am thinking just to buy those would be worth it for it longevity and enjoyment but if you had to choose i would say stick with the originals if your trying to save money to buy another bottle of perfume you actually want that is different enough.... Trust me these muglers can get tricky as the variations where not that different not like for say Mugler Angel Muse..which is clearly another take on Angel different enough to buy it..but for the collector of Muglers they are wonderful..but for the average consumer they are going to just feel they all are the same and in a way they are right..there must be a great enough difference to sell these fragrances..i still have yet to try taste of fragrance and i did try angel aqua chic of 2011 and loved that...anyways..hope this helps those trying to figure out the differences and if it's worth a purchase..i only see this appealing to those one) who need womanity to be toned down and two) if your a collector but if you want the same bam in your face womanity you maybe disappointed as i was because this just doesn't explode in boldness like the original Womanity does..but none the less it is pretty enough and i love this purchase because i love womanity so i am still happy and like the slightly added spice with the leather..

Luxury in a bottle. This has all the elements of Womanity that I love (sweet/salty, rich) without the elements that I hate (the metallic accord). When I first tried Womanity I adored it.. the thick, sweet, womanly aura just reeked of luxury and class. But there was a nagging metallic note like a handful of pennies that I could not stand and would end up being the only thing I could smell. If your chemistry plays up the metallic sharpness in Womanity, this flanker may be the solution for you. I'm a big fan of animalic vintage type fragrances and this really reminds me of those scents of bygone eras. If I sniffed this blind and was told it came out in the 80s I'd believe it. It has that sweet and skanky animalic spiciness found in Obsession, Must, La Nuit, Boucheron, Diva, Ysatis, etc. The leather note is undoubtedly why.. what a fabulous idea to throw that note in the mix and endear Womanity to a different audience. This is a perfect blend of classic meets modern!

I really like the original Womanity so I was very glad to add this one to my collection as well. This is very similar to the original so I don't think it's a great alternative for people that really dislike Womanity. But if the original Womanity is just a bit too much for you; Cuir de Parfum could be what you're looking for. This is not as strong and the salty (or what people call 'fishy') note is toned down a bit. It has still got great sillage though. The leather adds some depth and warmth which makes is a bit more mature and great for the colder seasons. It's lovely and makes me curious about the other versions of Womanity (or Thierry Mugler in general) And the bottle is a piece of art!

I just bought this and I'm already prepared to get a backup. I love Womanity, I love leather. The two of them together is pure luxury, and close to perfection for me. We all know Womanity's animalic side - now underscore that with smooth but very distinct leather and a new level of sensuality is reached. The wonderful thing about it is that the notes don't stand apart - they blend and intermingle beautifully. I don't really see the original one as sexy but the combination with leather has definitely steered it in that direction. I never thought Womanity needed tweaking or improvement - all that the leather has done in this case is deepen its character.

Wow I am loving this so much. A fresh leather perfume. Devine sweet fresh aromatic leather. Doesn't get much better. When I spray this In The bathroom and my son or husband walks in after they say how amazing it smells in here. Fresh ! The reason I prefer this to the original it is more opulent and rich , it has a base to it. A soft leather smell that just compliments this rather light linear smell. It makes it more glamorous and rich smelling. It's dressier. The regular womanity is more daytime. This can be a nighttime as well as day. Any occasion very versatile. Less oceanic and less by the sea feel. More of a classic feel.

I never try the original Womanity on my skin. It was to weird on a mouillette. I was scared of the caviar note. I found in a thrift store a bottle of the Cuir version. This one is an other story and a love. I won't say a love at first sniff because it's not and easy one too. In the Cuir's version I don't smell the caviar/marine note. It's more wearable but it still a complex perfume. It's more a niche perfume than a consensual mainstream one. It's not surprising that Womanity was a commercial flop. Womanity, Les parfums de cuir is not for everybody but for a perfume for ''connaisseur''. A perfume à ''apprivoiser''.

Womanity with leather/cuir is a beautiful innovation from the love/hate Womanity. This is womanity that has added green, less salty and a bit balmy. If Womanity was a weird scent that was done in a good way (though many do not like it also), this cuir version is the much improved one as it is less animalic, more nose friendly and much wearable to even a non experienced perfume explorer. The leather tamed down the caviar and saltiness and indeed, I smell hints of green notes, maybe vetiver plus soft citrus and soft soapy feel. Definitely unisex and a good fall season wear. I like it more than the classic Womanity.

it's been 2 days now that i'am wearing womanity les parfum de cuir ,and i still can not describe it ,it's different from all the perfumes that i know ,i don't know how to describe it!!! but i am sure i will understand one day :) edit :after one week ,i can descibe womanity , openning note:sweet leather second note:fig and sometimes leather after 1 hour :something salty ,which smell like fresh fish ,that smell remind me of the fishing port in my town after 3 hours: soft smell of fig leaves i love Womanity cuir ,it's unique ,bizzar ,and sexy

It's love at first smell! However, I did not find it as long lasting as the original Womanity! The dry down on my skin smells very vintage floral like a Chanel N'5 which I hate! I feel the leather notes clashes with the fig and caviar to actually calm the fragrance down a bit to a subtle soapy clean scent! I'm looking forward to seeing what the reactions are going to be when I wear it out as that's the deciding factor to whether I LOVE a fragrance or not!

I have tested regular Womanity and didn't like the savouryness of it. However this version seems sweeter, more intense and I LOVE it, can't stop smelling my wrist where I tested it. I can smell the leather, not as much as in the Angel verion, but it's there. Will probably get it before it is discontinued.

I don't even know what to think reading some of these reviews.. seriously..are some people literally just ..nevermind not gonna say what's obvious..this perfume doesnt smell like body parts... you wish..law of mass hysteria in perfumes.. good grief..
