hey, can I be weird for a second and say I DO think it smells like vagina but that I like it because of that? alright, I’ll back up. this is like, WILD amounts of fig on first blast. I honestly almost don’t like it to begin with—I just stick it out because I know the dry down is where the magic happens. this moves from cold to hot to me—the initial fig is distinctly chilly and fresh, but over time, you leave it out in the sun on a briney shore and it really begins to deepen. your first hour or so in is when things get sticky. it’s sweet in the way a warm jam is, backed up by earthy salt. it’s not cold anymore—it’s intimate and animalic. It’s saliva on warm skin. It’s intriguingly metallic. I have NEVER smelled metallics in a perfume before womanity. it is weird and it is haunting and I love it. It’s the smell and taste of blood. when you bite your lip or cut your finger and you lick the blood off, would you say it’s because you actively enjoy the taste and smell? or is it because you’re just naturally drawn to it in some way? this is how I feel about womanity—do I like her? I don’t know—if I’m enamored of her, obsessed with her, drawn in by her, and endlessly intrigued by her, what does it matter if I LIKE her? doesn’t that seem infantile in comparison to all the other feelings she dredges up in me? anyway, we were talking about vaginas. I do get pussy from this! I can’t lie! now I don’t mean unwashed, 100% organic vagina right in your face, but that hot, sweaty, candied umami unmistakably EVOKES pussy for me. it’s no post intensive workout-coochie or anything—this is more the panties you put on last night after your shower. however, I truly only get this along with the metallics when I’m smelling very close to my wrist hours into the dry down. truth be told, anyone near you is likely just going to get wafts of fig cut by savory salt. I think a fragrance causing your imagination to run wild is a magical thing, but let’s not get TOO wild—there’s for sure some pussy magic (vagic?) happening here, but it’s nothing your office mates are going to notice. unless you’re a little more than mates with them, I guess. I’ll mark myself down as firmly in the camp of “You People Sound Insane” in regards to those that think this smells like fish. caviar doesn’t even smell like fish, so I’m not sure how anyone’s getting fish from this. that’s a truly wild concept to me, but I guess womanity is one of the better fragrances to demonstrate just how differently people experience the same scent. It’s strange and salty and metallic and animalic, I’ll give anyone that—but there isn’t an ounce of fish in there. anyway, I love this weird bitch. I found her after a deliberate departure from floral crowd pleasers in search of something stranger and darker, and I’m so happy I could find that in her. if you ARE of the floral crowd pleaser persuasion, she’s not the girl for you, and that’s fine. I personally blind bought this to pleasing results, but I can’t say I’d recommend others do the same. regardless, there is such a high art to mugler bringing us this sweet, pink woman who has fig juice running down her chin and smells of warm, fertile skin, yet adorns herself with cold and uninviting clanging metals and fresh blood. this evokes so many visuals of what it means to capture the essence of a woman, each more interesting than the last.

Whether this has been rereleased or it was never discontinued, I am glad it is available! Now they need to make us happy and bring back "Angel Muse" and "Aura"! "Mugler" has become one of my favourite houses. From the interesting titles of their products and their unique bottles to their masterful fragrances, the entire experience is so worth it. Since I had been enjoying salty fragrances (Olympea, Reveal, World Power) a great deal, I just thought this one should be my next purchase. I got the 80 ml on sale a couple days later. I used to find the bottle of "Womanity" hideous as a kid (not sure where exactly I had seen it), but now I think it is mesmerizing. My only complaint is that the atomizer is a little leaky but I may have received a shitty bottle. The pink colour of the liquid totally suits the specific scent of the ripe, juicy fig flesh. It is a very "pink" scent but not in the usual way. I don't like fig as a fruit but I enjoy it as a fragrance note. I haven't smelt caviar in real life but what I smell here is a raw, natural, salty note that is slightly animalistic. It is a bit pungent and marine but not fishy. The green, milky, bitter aroma of the fig leaves is also quite natural. It is stronger in the beginning and softer in the drydown. This is very different from other woody fragrances. I assumed it would be a basic, simple scent because 3 of the 4 notes are different parts of the same plant. But no, "Womanity" utilizes these notes very well. I don't find it simple because it is beautiful and fragrant enough. Imagine creating a drawing with just one or two colours of crayon. You would use a different amount of these colours to create different shades. This is what the notes of "Womanity" remind me of. It is an outstanding, bold scent but still wearable. It is the most appropriate fragrance I have by "Mugler" and the one I will be wearing the most. I think it is quite womanly with the different accords representing different qualities - strong and unapologetic (the opening); sweet and gentle (the drydown); candid, imperfect, vulnerable (the salty accord). As it dries down, the marine accord softens and the sweetness of the fig disappears making the scent more milky. The sillage is strong for only about 2 hours but the remaining scent is quite long lasting - I could smell it inside my T-shirt 10 hours later. I guess I am just sweating a lot which decreases the longevity because it seems to last quite long on my clothes. The scent also sticks to my hair very well. Update: there was still some remaining scent in the back of my hair 30 hours later even after washing it! So far, "Womanity" and "World Power" are the best salty perfumes I have tried. Of course, at least one of them has been discontinued. Bottle: 9/10 Originality: 8,5/10 Strength: 7/10 Longevity: 10/10 Price value: 8/10

Spotted they’d brought this back last year or so, dithered over going in blind and it went out of stock, as soon as it came back I figured I didn’t want to miss the chance again and went in blind and very happy, I think my quest for my perfect fig frag has been fulfilled! I got this discounted so it was £55 for 80ml, incredible value considering the performance and the fact the bottle is like having a supermodel on the shelf. Opens with a pungent blast of pure citrus (I get grapefruit, possibly bergamot) and wood, very acidic and not at all sweet, almost floor polish territory. That quite quickly settles down into a very pretty, comforting scent - softly fruity, musky, a little bit of lactonic creaminess. The saltiness comes through in a “sea air” note but it’s not overwhelmingly marine, similarly there’s a clear woody base but it’s not dominated by that. I think the strongest impression is from the fruity notes but it’s not like the super sweet, candy-or-shampoo impression that “fruity fragrance” tends to be associated with. There’s a little bit of the green notes and rhubarb that show up in Aura as well but it’s nowhere near as green and bitter as that or something like Debaser. I think there’s a bit of a vogue at the moment for savoury notes in “my skin but better” musky compositions and this feels very ahead of that curve, it smells a bit sterile on paper but really radiates from skin warmth. Unlike current gen skin scents though this has the assertiveness you’d expect from Mugler - it’s not Angel/Alien level beasty but it definitely projects and lasts all day. I think it’d be fun to layer this with simpler scents to see how it’d bring out the woody/musk/green aspects but you’d probably need a light touch to avoid smelling overwhelming. Feels reasonably unisex but a little feminine - I think this is a unique scent but if it’s close to anything the citrus-fig-woody accord is similar to Fragonard Beau de Provence which was a little too heavy on stereotypically masculine woods for me to want to wear, so that might be a decent option for someone seeking a ‘masc’ alternative. Also leans spring/summery but I think versatile enough to be an all-year, everyday scent with signature potential.

I keep putting off reviewing this for a good cozy time, and it's now. Wearing this again to get a refresher, and it is truly, absolutely, a trip. I'm always so blown away, and I admit to being a shameless Mugler fangirl. This is so masterful. Aura is a jungle; but Womanity is the sea and inlets rich with oceanic breaths. The marine accord is so stunning and real, it's cold and brisk, untamed and salted. I'm familiar with, and unconditionally in love with the harsh rocky beaches in Washington state...we don't have "nice" warm beaches; they're more textured and rough. This marine note (I certainly don't relate it to any female secretions, I wish people would quit with the crap) is *real*, striking, and somewhat metallic. Some real fig, and especially true woody (astringent) notes pair nearly evenly with the salty sea, making this one of the most authentic perfumes I've ever smelled. It's a powerful and realistic sea scape. The fruit is like a real fig, full of seeds, and it truly smells like one has been cut into in front of you. This is like nothing else, and I can't bear to not have it in my collection at all times. Despite it being so, so heavy, it's still capable of being worn in the summer months. I almost can't define it seasonally, as I've experienced it in various weathers. Whenever I do, I am convinced it belongs in whatever season I happen to be in...but probably summer if I needed to be decisive. I also completely headstrong in my opinion that this is utterly unisex, and men could embrace it fully. It's a fiercely sensual fragrance, but in the most bare, raw, and beautiful ways. It quite honestly moves me, and I hope it will for you too. This is challenging, and each time I spray it I nearly balk at the opening. However, it's in such a wonderful way, I love and admire the harsh notes until they settle (most of my ultimate favorites have brutal openings). *edit* Something is absolutely psychedelic about this. It smells the way liminal space feels to gaze into. Deep, swooping, and beautifully unsettling.

I'm Italian, and when I was a kid, my family and I would spend summers by the sea, and we would often have pic-nics in the maritime pine woods that surround Italian coastlines. In Mediterranean areas there's a type of green fig that gives it's fruits in July: it's not as sweet as usual figs, and it has a green, plant-like, chlorophyll aroma. Now, figs, in Italy, are traditionally consumed by wrapping them in slices of prosciutto. It's the most gorgeous thing: you bite into a salty outside, and then you're met with the juiciness, sweetness, and chlorophyll of the fig. Womanity really feels like that. This frag is the perfect, photorealistic reproduction of one specific day by the seaside I had as a kid. We had spent all day in a wild, rocky, uncontaminated beach, surrounded by Mediterranean flora and maritime pines. My long, curly, frizzy big hair smelled like salt, and my skin was sticky with sea spray and humidity. At some point, it was time for dinner: we went sitting under the maritime pines. There, my dad took a shopping bag and pulled out some fresh figs he had picked the day prior, and some homemade prosciutto. I feasted on figs and homemade prosciutto, which is usually way saltier than commercial one. Picture the taste of pure salt, meat, with sugary juicy green figs. It's weird yet absolutely delightful. I ended up not eating anything else. Just green figs and prosciutto. My hands were sticky with fig latex and fig juice, and I could smell so much salt coming from the sea and green, woodsy notes from the vegetation surrounding me. Womanity is the photorealistic reproduction of that time in my childhood, but not in a comforting way: It's wild, salty, sticky, sexy. It's my childhood summers, but as soon as I spray it on screams: "you're no longer that innocent girl. You're a woman now." It makes me feel strong, almost in a fight-or-flight way. It tells me to bite into that delicious salty-sweet delight as soon as possible, and to feast on it until my hands are sticky with juice.

I got it just now and testing it out... my god, memories coming back. it’s the same scent I grew up loving. but now that I’m grown, it just fits me even more. can I say that this really is a perfume that fits me as a trans woman because this is just pure bold unabashed femininity. thinking of that Mae West quote about feeling like a woman. first spray is that sweet, aquatic fig. very much bright and sunny, still very fresh, and it’s glistening in the sun. but but BUT! it moves to the beach, and it’s ripening in the sun, and there’s a salty sea breeze whipping past you, carrying the smell of salty wood and vague metals in the beginning. it starts to go down into this ripe, sticky, jammy beast that almost hits you with like... idk how to describe it other than “overripe alien fruit falling on a gigeresque planet” with the metals and woods that pop up along with an animalic note; the caviar is definitely pulling her weight. she was frankly one of the first salty/marine fragrances I’ve smelled, and to me she’s still one of the forerunners to the marine tinged fragrances on the market right now. Womanity is probably the reason I’m drawn to a lot of them, but the others don’t seem to combine that sweet side as well, so Womanity still takes the cake on that one. it absolutely reminds me of delina; sweet yet zingy, but I think this is like delina’s cousin from chromatica. there’s something futuristic and inviting here. the sillage is insane and I get whiffs from my arms when they’re behind me. longevity I think is gonna be updated but if I remember well, it’s gonna be a beast. she’s definitely in my rotation now. I missed you, ms giger. ps. myorigines verdict: real deal <3 pps. it’s NOT not pussy. it definitely has a primal scent. almost like pussy dark intense by rammstein. not indolic, but something else. a true love.

Let me begin by saying categorically that Womanity is not fishy. Indeed, Caviar itself is not fishy. It's salty and marine like the ocean but not at all fishy. The power of suggestion by including a controversial fantasy note such as caviar makes people feel they are smelling fish but honestly they are not. It is simply green fig leaves with sweet, salty fig calcified in ocean spray. The true beauty in Womanity is in it's simplicity. It contains only four notes - contrast that with Angel which contains at least twenty eight, you can appreciate what a departure Womanity was for the house of Mugler. The bottle is fantastic. It should be classed as the most beautiful perfume bottle in the world imho. It is very Giger-esque to my eye and a true feast for the senses. Even the sound of the metal chain jingling against the glass is a delight to listen to. It's a one in a million perfume, still perfectly unique and tenacious today. Nothing smells quite like any Mugler perfume and Womanity is no exception. People will love it. People will hate it. But no one can ever say it failed to make a lasting impression whether they liked it or not. I have bottles of the old Thierry Mugler formula and the new one. The original version is best to my nose. It has a little more impact from sweet fig than the later Mugler versions. However, all of it's iterations are strong and long lasting. I get a solid 8 hours wear from two sprays. Any more than two sprays would be too much. It's pretty beast mode. I've smelled this on a couple of different men and it is just as spectacular on them as any lady. Maybe even more so. For that reason I would class it as feminine leaning unisex. You must at least try this astounding fragrance once in your life. It is an experience you will never forget.

Womanity is one of those scents I can never describe the same way twice, I’m always noticing something new in it. It opens green and ripe, like a freshly cut salted fig. There’s also this weird hint of something baked, but not sweet, more like a salted biscuit or a cake with no sugar. That part disappears quickly though, and it settles into this green, salty fruit. Then the aquatic side comes in, and it’s heavy. Sometimes it feels bright, like the Amalfi Coast, and other times it turns dark and damp, almost swampy. For the first few hours, it sits in that space before drying down into something much more marine. Very salty, very oceanic, but not fresh. More like standing at a port, warm salty air, slightly metallic, like boat chains heating in the sun. There’s also this creamy, milky note that comes and goes, probably from the fig, which makes it feel almost skin-like. And that’s the thing,, it becomes very bodily. Slightly animalic, like warm salted skin. Creamy, lactonic, almost... secretion like. Honestly, it smells like what a cyborg’s skin would smell like after swimming in the Mediterranean. Or what aliens would create if they tried to recreate the scent of humans. I know that probably doesn’t sound appealing, but I find it completely addictive. It feels like a whole experience, like it’s painting images rather than just smelling nice. To me, it perfectly sits between synthetic and natural. Bold, strange, erotic. This is my signature scent because it mirrors me - alien, green, juicy, salty, marine, a bit animalic. It’s a masterpiece. Not a crowd pleaser, but if you get it, you really get it. Projection is moderate to strong, longevity is solid (around 6 hours on skin, longer on clothes). And I really wish they still made body products for it (sigh)

Being the raving fig lover that I am, womanity has always intrigued me. Fig and caviar (actually a marketing term for just "salt") seemed like a lovely and unique combination to me, but the thousands and thousands of hate reviews seemed to think otherwise. And the hate was visceral too! However, I decided to take a leap of faith and I finally blind bought it! The notes combo and the bottle were too enticing, and I must confess that even the hate comments piqued my interest even more. It felt like my biggest gamble ever in terms of perfume! The best part is that it really paid off. I am utterly in love with this perfume! The caviar note is not fishy, metallic and it definitely does NOT smell like genitalia! (who did even start that rumor?!) To me, it smells like marine salt, with a hint of citrusy zest even! It reminds me of the lime and salt combo served along with tequila shots. It is not similar to the salt note in Olympea either, which is too cloying and sticky for my taste. In regards to the fig, it's a ripe, green and leafy scent, enshrouded by the marine salt. It differs a lot from the fig in Philosykos (which I adore), since it's not milky or coconutty. Think of it as a ripe fig covered in a crust of marine salt and lemon zest, served on a fig tree leaf. It's a such an unique take on fig and I love it! I have never smelled anything remotely similar to Womanity and I love having it in my collection. I don't understand the hate at all, because even with how salty it is, is not an offensive fragrance at all! If you're interested in this one like me, please don't get swayed by the hate online and give it a try!

It's not fishy. Caviar does not smell fishy. It's salty. Anyone who is picking up a fishy or rancid note in this is being subject to the power of suggestion, but that was all part of Thierry Mugler's appeal. The caviar note is a parlour trick intended to shock and dismay. He loved to cause controversy and his perfumes are all works of art whether you love or hate them. Womanity is sweet yet marine. It's one of the rare perfumes I will wear for several days in a row. It intoxicates me as soon as I reach for that pink juice in its beautiful Gigeresque bottle and hear the chain jingle against the glass. I have stopped people in their tracks while wearing it. No one smells fish when they are smelling it blindly. It is captivatingly beautiful and my favourite of all the Mugler fragrances. Longevity and silage are both strong. Two sprays is more than enough to last the whole day, but my bottles are all pre-Clarins and L'Oréal. I feel it is quite unisex and smells fantastic on a man. My only complaint is that the box is super flimsy. I keep all of my fragrances in their boxes to protect them, but the womanity box is the worst I have, especially considering the bottle can be quite heavy. It has not been discontinued. It is available to buy on the Mugler official website only. I love it so much.

waiting for my new bottle as a “finished uni” gift for myself but I have to write some stuff down about it! a) it’s not DiscontinuedTM️ but it’s harder to find; Notino and Flaconi are listed as official retailers on Mugler’s German website, but I think My Origines has it as well, but I’m awaiting to see if it’s the real deal. b) I remember having this wayyyy back when I was still in Manila; as a kid I was charmed by how gorgeous and mysterious the bottle looked, and the smell really stays with me in my mind; as a sweaty kid it mingled well with the sweat smell and it was this weird, milky fruit smell that had very woody undertones. I know now that I was smelling figs and fig wood along with the marine note, and it shaped how I wanted my perfumes to be, which is why I go for sweet yet intriguing scents more often, along with the truly wild ones. c) genuinely love the giger bottle. it’s very chromatica ball, brutalist futurism compared to ghost in the shell by ELDO, which reminds me of more renaissance tour style sorayama-ish clean robotics. half of the reason I’m buying is for the bottle. d) mugler PLEASE put it back in stores. I need to be able to hawk it out to my friends

despite the name, womanity seems to be quite the unisex (and susprisingly..... incredible ???) fragrance. boy is it delicious !!! it's very fruity, but not Too fruity - tbh i have never actually smelled a fig but i would guess this is what it smells like; a fresh, sweet, pomegranate-y/stone fruit type smell. it is then balanced perfectly by the fig leaf and salt note, both giving a hint of punchy fresh greenness + woodiness and even a little "skin smell" for lack of better words. i'm using a lot of food terms but this perfume makes me want to eat something.... the smell of it has me dreaming of a fruit and cheese charcuterie platter (with a lil margarita thrown in for good measure) on a breezy beach on a lazy sunday afternoon ⛱️🍇🍹 she's a bit provacative and crazy but at the end of the day she just wants to have fun ! she's here for a good time and she's giving us one for sure !! the negative reviews are def surprising to me. this has got to be one of the most crowd-pleasing muglers i've come across so far. 10/10. can't wait for it to get warmer out bc i feel this would absolutely flourish in the summer heat <3

I am writing this review just to make a point. Always trust your own senses! I tested this today, totally biased against it after all the things I've heard about it, just out of curiosity. I tested it on paper first,too scared to let it touch my skin.... Twenty minutes later,I returned to skin test it. In my honest opinion,this perfume is the absolute masterpiece! I'll try to describe it,hoping to do it justice...This is the smell of the Mediterranean! The exact smell of a beautiful woman's skin,after spending a full day at the beach with the one she loves. The scent of the slightly burnt skin from the long hours under the sun,a little dry from the sea water,kissed by the sea breeze that carries the smell of fig trees and the burning hot sand,with just a touch of the sun tan oil,she had applied hours ago... It's a perfume with a soul,alive and kicking! A perfume full of images,memories,feelings...If you have ever been in love on a Greek island,this one will bring tears to your eyes and will make you a time traveler... Hands down,the most creative,emotional,beautiful,erotic perfume ever created! BRAVO!!!

This is like a Tinder match you fell crush on a first date. You get a total knockout, swept from your feet. This is it, the one. Everything feels amazing and dreamy, truly special and unique, something you've never met before. But then later on you began to wonder: is this too good to be true? Can there be love at first sight? There must be something wrong. Is is too overpowering, too weird and extravagant? There are days when you are not certain anymore. Have you met truly the match of your dreams or just a narcissistic seducer? Our love romance has just begun, the story shall be continued...... Perhaps it is the story ever after. The scent itself is a sexy, unique combination of salty marine and sweet fruity notes, with a hint of woody bitterness, turning to an almost slightly masculine vibe. As an utterly feminine person I find it to be a potential signature fragrance. This is what Circe would have been wearing as a tempress living with Odysseus. The Scent: 9 / 10 Longevity : 8 hours with one spray The Bottle: 10 /10

I was really biting my nails, because this was a blind buy. I'm usually opposed to blind buying, but this time I had no choice - I saw this on the gray market for a very good price, not to mention this is discontinued and very hard to get. The reviews left me scratching my head - "vagina", "wet body", "wet older woman"??? What am I getting? In reality I got a very interesting, marine gourmand. I had hoped this would be good, because imo fig usually works very well for marines and aquatics. I'm not usually a fan of Mugler - I more often than not am not a fan of their fragrances, especially the more popular ones, but thank god I decided to risk it. They don't make them like this anymore. This is the kind of unconventional goodness modern perfumery often shies away from to cater to the common denominator. Smelling this gives you the kind of optimism that makes you feel like your ancestors are smiling down upon you. Not to mention the beautiful H.R. Giger-esque bottle, which is just the cherry on top.

It was my signature scent for a while, a very feminine and sexy fragrance in my opinion. Great if you like fig. EDIT: So oops I did it again. I’ve just bought another 80 ml of Womanity because of fomo as I don’t want to ever miss it in case it really gets discontinued also where I live. I’m not sure if it still smells exactly the same as it did when I first wore it in 2012, maybe it has changed or my nose has gotten old or I have been conditioned but I thought for a while oh no they put oud in it like everywhere else?! But I don’t think so, it was probably just my mind. It still has the old Womanity vibe that got me 12 years ago. I still think it’s a perfume to turn heads, I just sprayed it once and I still smell it on my sweater after one day, so it’s still a powerhouse of a perfume. It’s a perfume that always smells the same, no drydown, it doesn’t change. In my opinion a must have in one’s perfume collection. I find it so beautiful that I can not imagine how anyone could dislike it.

I remember the first time I smelled this perfume like it was yesterday. I met it by a tester from a french magazine I bought to spend time at the airport. Just before I went to sleep, I smelled it and - oh my god! The most perfect scent I've ever smelled in my life. It was like this smell was hitting my brain directly. The smell of salt and figs in my nose enchanted me. It was a true love at first sight and it totally got me. I'm really surprised that people are commenting the opposite of me. This perfume was truly hated, which explains why it was discontinued. It's possible that people's noses respond differently to the same scent. But if they asked me what my life smells like, I would definitely say Womanity. Maybe it's because I'm from western Turkey and grew up in fig orchards and by the sea. I do not know. I wanted to write this review to pay my respects to this fragrance that has taken over me. I think it is an exotic, striking and well-deserved perfume.

Until a few months ago, I never noticed that this perfume even existed. Then I started seeing some pictures of it on Fragrantica and got curious and decided to blind buy a bottle. My bottle arrived today and I have been wearing Womanity this afternoon. The opening is sweet, floral, and light. As the perfume dries, it becomes greener; I can smell the fig leaf quite distinctively. I love figs, and this manages to capture the sweet fig flesh in the opening and the green, milky, sticky fig leaves as it dries. After a couple of hours, the salty note comes through; it smells like sea breeze, very beautiful. The dry down is aquatic and makes me think of fresh cucumbers sprinkled with a touch of salt. It is not gourmand, but it has a sweet and savory, mouthwatering quality. It makes me think of having a light lunch in a nice beach restaurant in Sicily. I am very impressed with Womanity and kind of annoyed that I have missed out on this for so many years 🩷🌊🧂🦪🥒

I can confidently say that this is the most captivating fig-centered composition I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. Green, fresh leaf accords intertwine gracefully with sweet fig milk, while the addition of caviar lends the fragrance a refined complexity, preventing it from becoming one-dimensional. The result is elegant, feminine, and luminous. Although longevity and projection proved moderate, this may well be a consequence of testing a vintage bottle. The flacon is perhaps the most brutalist aspect of the fragrance; to me, the sculpted faces carry a certain darkness that contrasts with the beauty of the scent itself. I completely understand why this perfume has achieved cult status and can only express my sincere regret that it has been discontinued. They simply do not make them like this anymore. A beautiful, beautiful fragrance—and a privilege to have worn it.

I’m starting off this review with a statement: It does not smell like fish. At all. It’s salty, crisp, figgy, creamy, woody - the initial spray is kinda boozy almost. A fresh, green blast. The fig comes through beautifully, it’s not overly sweet though. The dry down is very creamy, slightly green with the salty note still playing somewhere. It’s lovely - a sea breeze with fig trees lining the coast. Genuinely don’t know where people are getting fish from? The initial blast of this perfume could be considered salty, fresh, cold. But that’s as far as it goes. Weirdly, Alien Goddess has a vaguely similar feel, I think the creamy, coconut of Goddess is almost reminiscent of the base of Womanity. They don’t smell alike, there’s a familiarity though, some distant DNA. Longevity? All day. Sillage? Intense. Projection? Room filling. Glorious stuff!

I found an old bottle of this in the mini size. Something I love about Mugler is that they are exceptional at making a product, a talisman if you will, that can be cherished. So many of their discontinued fragrances don't just come in little tubes but rather smaller versions of the full size versions of the perfumes. It adds a really exciting aesthetic dimension. Regarding the juice itself it is a beautiful mouthwateringly salted fig. The caviar accord is really delicious and unique. Overall it is quite fruity but not sickeningly so. It's a strong perfume! Definitely worth a shot if you love mugler overall, or fig or caviar perfumes more broadly. I haven't smelled anything else like it, and the mini sized "talisman" (not sure what it's called outside of the context of Alien) is reasonably priced if you can find it.

With this fragrance, you really get what you think you'll get. It's just a whole fig - from the tree and leaves to the ripe fruit. This got me into figs as a note, tbh. The opening is fresher and greener, maybe a bit sharp, but still very nice and then it settles into a smooth, sensual, ripe fig. It's straightforward and simple in that way, but that's not necessarily bad. Very weird way to describe it, but it smells 'fertile' to me 😅 That's what I imagine the Empress in tarot to smell like. Feminine, soft and well-blended. Honestly, I'd love to see a guy rock this, would be very interesting. I don't get any of the fishiness some people complain about. If anything, there's a very well-balanced saltiness to even out the sweetness of the fig. 9/10 Edit: It definitely performs better in slightly warmer months.

It took 3 days for me to familiarize myself with this perfume. The longevity on skin is around 8-9 hours, i find it kind of strong, so 2-3 sprays is enough for me. Great refreshing sweet but woody scent. As everyone says, it's definitelly polarising. The first time I sprayed it was like a rich chemical nutty bomb exploded, and I was very intrigued by the fact that I recognized the smell. It was nutella???? It reminded me of nutella at first spray. That initial note dissapeared almost completely after around 5 minutes, so I was good. After that, it is linear, smells like skin after getting out of the sea and drying in the sun, salty yet sweet, almost savory. It will definitelly become a staple in my routine. I'm glad that it is not discontinued in Europe, my bottle is from a 10/24 batch.

This is so nostalgic to me, and now knowing it’s discontinued and already disappeared from all the stores, I am NOT making the same mistake like I did with Balenciaga Florabotanica. I didn’t keep it and I miss so deeply and now it’s completely gone. I found out Notino in my country still sells this, so I bought full bottle and I ordered another one just to have enough to stack. Even though this is not a perfume I would use very often, it is so incredibly special. So fresh and salty and sweet and marine... I think this one might interact with body chemistry a lot, so it might not be good on everyone and that’s why it’s so polarising, but when it does fit, oh wow. Mindblowing and compliments getter, and inoffensive actually. I hate L’oreal for buying Mugler and ruining everything.

A very enigmatic and powerful fragrance. A watery, spicy and mysterious fig. I know it's not listed as spicy but I find it spicy but maybe it's the fig and fig leaves... For my nose, fig always give a hot/cold effect to fragrances that I love and find it very sultry and enigmatic. It captivates me and lasts on the skin the whole day. On clothes, it's even several days since I have a top on the famous "chair" (you know the one with clothes neither clean nor dirty, just wore once but not enough to go to laundry haha) that has been perfuming my room since 3 days. A very good perfume and a wonderful and coherent scent/name/bottle combo. Not very popular but certainly a hidden gem, especially in a collection. A piece of art. Signature scent level 100.

The most interesting one that visited my collection. Love and hate. Ying and Yang. Black and white. Tame and wild. Imagine you started to meet with your shadows after a milestone in your life, as Nina did in Black Swan movie. I was never able to finish the 15 ml decant I've bought. Gave it to a friend whom I thought she could wear it better than me. And it became her signature scent, until it was discontinued. It smells mossy with aquatic / floral hints, which is so weird at the start, than it is addictive. Somehow, at the same time, smells like slightly dirty skin, not like sweaty, dry and distant, which makes it so sexy. For me , Alien Goddess inspired from this one, rather than original Alien. Farewell to queen

Oh my gosh! I finally get to smell this. I went to Dillard's to buy my son a cologne and was bs'ing with the sales lady for samples and I'm picky and grumpy by nature and she was a great match! I kept saying no to things and said I wanted the ocean scent and she mentioned coconut and I was like no- I want something dirty that everyone won't like. I always wanted to try womanity but it's discontinued. And from behind the counter in a little pouch she pulls some out, sprays it on a card and says that's it. I said, Omgosh, I love it. She's like, yeah you can't get it and I was like how do I buy that bottle? And she said "No, but I'll spray you" and I drove home in a pillow of a twinge- y, fig. Love it so much.

I had this perfume when it came out. Then it was discontinued and just all of a sudden, reappeared in 2025:) How I figured it out? I was sitting in a restaurant and I smelled it. I was like...no it is not possible...they dont produce it anymore...but it was the same intoxicating smell...so I month later I saw it on notino. :) Could not believe, I purchased a bottle immediately. The scent is the same, weird from the initial spray, but then it settles into this airy, woody, but sweet scent that you keep smelling since you want to figure out to what it reminds you of ...but you cannot :D extremely long lasting and projection is crazy! One word- a masterpiece! Ahead of its time. Not a safe blind buy.

Being a man, I had never tried this one before, but after reading all about the vagina–fish association and seeing how polarizing the reviews were, I decided to blind buy it. Quite a bold move, don’t you think? First of all, there's nothing fishy about it. I grew up in a city by the sea where fishing ranges from a hobby to a full-on profession, so I know exactly what fish—or anything remotely related—smells like. What I get from this fragrance is a blend of fig, fig leaf, fig wood, with subtle hints of strawberry and coconut. It feels like a cross between Philosykos, Le Beau Male, and Burberry Her Elixir. A pure masterpiece.

I don't understand the hate around this perfume. The opening is indeed unusual- bitter and a little salty. And I think this is the main reason of all this negative feedback- if you try on the blotter ,the first impression may not... impress :) But some time after it turns in a perfume. Just a perfume. To me -generic smell of a sweater that was sprayed and on Monday and found it in the wardrobe on Wednesday. It's not aggressive. I'd say soft with no sharp edges. I neither hate it, nor like it. To me smells obsolete. I am surprised it was made in 2010, 'cause I smell generic late 90th/00, before the "fruity juicy era".

More like fig with clay and/or pistachio rather than caviar, but the overall effect is rather marine. Very interesting and unique. It's maybe my favourite fig scent. It captures and uses every aspect of fig to full effect, creating an arresting, intriguing landscape. I spray a bit more, and now I can sort of get the caviar thing. There's metal, blood and salt becoming almost more prominent but I get the impression this is an aspect of the fig, a figment of the note (sorry) ;D It's a blind buy I don't regret, a bizarre and fascinating perfume which I may or may not ever wear out of the house.

Opening is similar to Dolce&Gabbana's L'Imperatrice. Fresh, fruity, somewhat sparkly, green. On the skin it's spicy, figgy and sweet. Dry down is woody, sweet, nutty, salty musk. It doesn't wow me, in fact it's a rather generic smelling perfume (I have the latest pink juice formula). The comparisons to expensive fragrances shampoos are accurate. Torn between selling it and keeping it for the Summer where I think (hope) this scent will blossom in the heat. I am however smitten by the jingly jangly, Giger-esque bottle. Update 1 day later - wearing it to bed: It's growing on me.

The first time I sprayed this perfume I thought I could never wear something like this. It didn't smell like a perfume, it was like opening a pickled jar of figs with a lot of the sour milky steams. I hated it but decided to keep because the strong fig note reminded me of my childhood. Almost a year later I decided to give it another go and..... I honestly don't know what happened! Whatever I was smelling before completely disappeared, it is still a very unconventional scent but I am so hooked sometimes I wake up craving it... it has something in it that makes it addictive

Maybe it is the rarity and uniqueness that made me fall in love with this one. My friends think this smells like fish. While I can't say it smells like that, I get why they say it. One of the notes is fish eggs. It's fresh and masculine when it needs to be, despite the name. It's kind of nostalgic but also quite unique, I haven't smelled anything like it before I tried it. It's juicy, and I guess that is the fig. I guess I will have to study it more to differentiate the fig fruit and fig leaf/tree notes. I believe the salty marine/metallic nuances come from the caviar.

I used to have it long time ago. Seeing the reviews has reminded me with the beautiful sensations I was feeling whenever I wear it. I’m thinking now to buy it. In the past, whenever I want to feel sexy, feminine, full of power and seduction, I will go for it. It made me feel like I’m a queen of beauty , inner beauty revealed in the outer world with the aura of “ womanity perfum”. Those feelings are kind of the subtle power, the silent smartness, the calming assertiveness and confidence of a woman. Strong and delicate, powerful and calm, the paradox of potent energy.

Blind bought it and it was worth it. Instant love. I don't know how fig or fig leaves should smell like. This is green and woody and there is aquatic type of freshness. I expected that Aura would smell like this. Sharpness and freshness are modetate. For me one spray is enough. Like other Muglers, this is strong too. This scent makes me think waterlilies. It seems to been discontinued everywhere else except in Europe. There it's still available. Sometimes it is sold out but comes still back in stock. Refill bottle and refillable version both of them.

I bought my bottle before it was discontinued. I only wear it in the summer months on date nights with my husband. I will be so sad whenever it runs out. I get so many compliments from men and women both when I have it on. And this fragrance drives my husband wild. He absolutely loves it. Such a lovely scent it is. Fishy? I’ve never been told that I smell like a fish. So, I don’t know where people are coming up with that idea from. I definitely can get the salty. Because it does make me think of the ocean. In a good way though.

Oh, I love this. It was exactly what I was hoping for. Fresh, a little beachy, it definitely reminds me of the seaside in a good way. Sexy, unique and powerful. I’m not sure if it is discontinued in Europe, but I think it is in the USA. Still possible to get but kind of difficult to find and getting more pricey. I can see this being a little polarizing but I don’t agree with people saying that it is “fishy.” If Mugler brings it back, I hope that they don’t reformulate. This is one of my favorites now!

This is one of my favourites parfumes in the world. Never smelled anything remotely close. Its exactly what the name suggests. Its salty and sweet, fresh and mouth watering. It's giving elegant femininity, imagine the most gracious beautiful woman in the world that floats above ground. This is what id imagine goddesses and angels smell like lol. The biggest masterpiece and as people said art in a bottle. It doesn't last much on my skin sadly.. 2-3h, I'm surprised how some say it lasts 8h.

It's so hard to find!😫 this could be Niche quality for sure, why do they always discontinue the good stuff? It's a very particular smell, strange, I love rare perfumes, this is a gem, this is what a mermaid would smell like, Mera from Aquaman smells like Womanity💕🙌🏼 it's salty and very aquatic, my signature perfume😍 Encontrarlo es un desafío , ¡te odio L'Oréal porque arruinas todo lo que tocas! Y para los que dicen que huele a sudor 😒 ojalá su sudor oliera así ,por favor no me hagan reir🙄

I just blind bought it and WOW this is one of my favourites so far. Definitely nothing "fishy" about it. It's very woody on my skin but also sweet, reminds me of burning Palo Santo. Dry down is more fruity and leafy. I don't think I tried anything similar. As it's a Mugler fragrance it's not a typical "people pleaser" so definitely not a perfume to blind buy if you don't have spare $. I was lucky and I love the fragrance but I can totally understand the like - dislike ratio.

This smells like a horny mermaid, and I love it. I'm so sad that I've fallen in love with this now that's it's discontinued, especially as I hear there's nothing like it. It's all salty fig on my skin, and a hint of something animalic. Ok, I'll say what I mean: there is a tiny hint of vagina. I love that, I think it's unique, seductive and sexy. I have to buy a decant immediately. I'll see how I do with that, but in my heart I already know I want a full bottle.

This is the woman who knows she's beautiful and doesn't need confirmation. It's pretty unique. Opens up with a strange green and earthy note that softens to the yummiest non sweet fruity accord (when I tried it i thought it was peach or peach blossom, then realized this is what fig note smells like). This is your non typical most feminine scent. Wear this on your skin not on clothes, and it really needs to be worn during a hot weather to stand out.

MY GUILTY PLEASURE. This is a ripe fig that you could bite, and as it macerates (my bottle is SUPER old), it ripens, how this scent filled my childhood, it is so feminine, so tender, so juicy. I could see this suiting any woman, but there is something sultry about it. And it is in the best way possible. It fills up your nose and your mouth and you can feel the salt- as if you are a seashell on the shore, lapped up, spun around, pretty and content.

Angel and Alien are amazing, but this is Mugler's true masterpiece. If I could only pick 3 perfumes to wear for the rest of my life this would be one of them without a doubt. Effortlessly sexy and works no matter the weather. This being discontinued is a crime against humanity and I'm so happy I stocked up. Was going to gift a friend it since she's mentioned loving it on me, but I'll be keeping that bottle for myself now!

What can l say? Perfection! I love the bottle, and it just makes me happy when l spray it. Top notes don't last too long but then it settles into a fresh sea breeze, fruity but not too sweet. Complimented many times when l wear this. I started with the Elles variant, an easier to wear fragrance (a very successful blind buy!)as Womanity isn't for everyone. It's a seriously different fragrance that l can't get enough of.

The most unique perfume I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. I adored it. It evokes so many memories of a special time and it was such a great performance scent. I truly wished they would bring it back. I feel you could spray this and 3 days later you would still smell it. I did hear they had it for a while on the Thierry Mugler website recently but it appears to be gone now. A unique and seductive scent! LOVE!

Very unique, not too sweet, not too sharp, not too feminine, not too genderless. Definitely modern and even futuristic. Love the metallic and salty notes combined with fig. Fell in love with it from the get go and this has never happened with another perfume before. My signature smell for years! They've certainly changed it in the last years and it's much harder to find but I still can't help loving it sooo much!

It's very beautiful. A very clean, fruity scent, with a smidge of ocean breeze to it. This may sound odd but it reminds me of an infirmary clinic (but in a really good way!). It's reminiscent of Midnight Romance by Ralph Lauren with a salty twist. Very romantic imo This was a blind buy for me, and I have no regrets. It's a very unique ocean scent. Would definitely recommend if you are into unorthodox fragrances

I've reviewed this already but I just bought a back-up bottle and I have to emphasize how beautiful and unique this fragrance is. The woodiness and sweetness deepen when you let it macerate, but the overall impression is still fresh. It smells like roasted nuts, salt / the ocean, crushed leaves, wood and hints of jelly / jam all at once. Great longevity and projection. And the bottle... Truly a masterpiece ♡
