Le Narcisse Bleu

Le Narcisse Bleu by Mury parfum extrait is one of the most beautiful one flower perfumes I have ever smelt! The fragrance is heavy and sweet narcissus and if you find an old bottle that contains even a few drops of this divine perfume, you will find out that it still smells boldly. And the bottle, oh my God! A piece of art from the '20's, with its cobalt blue flower patterns curved on the crystal vial. A few bottles still circulate in the Internet. So if you are a vintage perfume collector, hurry and catch up with one of them. You won't regret it. My vote: 10/10

Beautiful treasure of its era. My bottle from 1925 contains about 10ml of juice, with aldehydes and bergamot long gone but lovely thick benzoiny musky base remaining, hinting at the beauty this perfume once was. It still has a fair amount of tuberose, iris and labdanum and a hint of patchouli - I don’t get any oakmossy sourness. Just the beautiful strong roundness of the base notes older perfumes had, like its contemporary Shalimar.

Bitter narcissus with oakmoss, sandalwood, musk, ambrette, and hyacinth. I don't see this blend as a single narcissus rather than a balanced amount of what have mentioned above. I do sense the aged liquid that some notes were faded and making this blend goes weirdly bit artificial, but i can't deny that if this is produced today it would have been amazing. Nice but also i can't judge from my sample cause it seems quite old but i am extremely grateful for my friend "Taleof therose" for the generous sample i got :)

Being sued by Caron for using the word Narcisse in the way that copied the name of their signature scent Narcisse Noir therefore misleading the customer
