'Cause I'm Happy

Yes, the name really says it! I read the notes and thought ok, this is the citrus cologne for the guys, every line has this, blah blah. The fragrance really surprised me with how good it was. The main star is grapefruit but it is warmed by the orange blossom. Often grapefruit turns sour on my skin, this one is just perfect. The fragrance paints the picture of a refreshing lemonade enjoyed in a green lush garden on a sunny day. I would happily wear this in the summertime but the price tag is a bit exaggerated (for the whole line). And as with all citrus scents longevity is not great, I get 3-4 hours max.

Freshest and the most citrusy Musicology I tried. It's airy and dominated by bergamot, then grapefruit in the air and touch of vetiver clarity and musky cleaniness. Did not create enough of a cloud around me during a walk (Rose Velour must have spoiled me ;) ) to win me over. Seems better for summer.

Cause I'm Happy, is clean, nice, and pretty. Very citrusy on the top notes, nice bergamot, the white/bitter/squik grapefruit aspect that is tickling the eyes, a citrus symphony that Lorson always masters very well in my opinion. The orange blossom in the middle is very subtle, pleasing but flies away, an orange blossom/feather that we're chasing it in the middle of the other notes (but I still think that this note is the one that brings me the most pleasure). So, it's quite yellow-green-transparent, classically done, very well balanced as always, pleasurable... but not a breakthrough either. It's certainly a nice everyday fragrance, which would fit perfectly in a collection of casual classics. But in my opinion, every perfume in this line is missing a little "kick" related to music, and got oriented in a totally opposite direction than what I expected.

I can smell bergamote, then orange blossom, then the latter gets mixed with a slightly sweet cypress and some green(not earthy or smokey) vetiver(the same type in Bergamote 22, etc) It feels simple, but it's very pleasant.
