Mustang Blue

The first thing that comes to my mind is PURE NOSTALGIA!!!, and in the best way possible. Know when I say I am experiencing nostalgia from this fragrance it is more to say something smart in my childhood but not quite a fragrance. I remember as a kid my aunt and uncles house always smelled so good and for years now (15-20+) I must have forgotten that smell and as I assume like myself, most people that enjoyed smells and fragrances as a kid were simply too busy being a child during a time in their life to be concerned about a fragrance/smell they are picking up and rather just enjoyed it in the moment lol. Well as of Yesterday I just received mustang blue edt in the mail and I have been wearing it for the past day and I am proud to say that I have finally found something identical to that aroma my aunt and uncle used way back in the mid 90’s to early 2000’s. The moment I first got my nose on this I was instantly taken back to that time in my life and my face lit up with joy and a smile because I knew I had found a nostalgic fragrance that I have loved and lost in my life. This fragrance is classified as blue as stated in the name and some have been saying it is similar to bleu de Chanel, but if I must say myself its nothing even close to that and to my nose its 10x better than BDC. Yes, I Know some people may read this and think I’m crazy for saying that a supposedly $25 fragrance that some have even found on discount shelves at Walmart is better than BDC, but that’s honestly the beauty of this community, that we are all entitled to different opinions. Who knows maybe it could be because it gives me nostalgia, or maybe it’s just fragrances like BDC and Dylan blue I’ve simply just out grown now and I’m tired of smelling them. If you are on the fence about buying this fragrance and you are someone say who likes Freshies, or blue fragrances, or even green fragrances for that matter, GET IT lol. I tell you I had put this fragrance in and out of my ebay cart for close to a year and I finally bit the bullet on the purchase and now it’s crazy to think that if I didn’t take that risk, I may have never stumbled upon this fragrance. To wrap things up with a description, I would say that this is an amazing fragrance especially for what it’s selling for. It is a nice clean, fresh, uplifting, and invigorating fragrance. Somewhat soapy and sort of like and expensive shower gel not found in drugstores or convenient stores. This fragrance is perfect for everyday use in any setting, so I guess we’ll call it a casual type of fragrance however I could see myself both dressing this up or even wearing this to the gym. Great option for a simple man that is on the go and constantly changing his surroundings, and I think the ladies will love this lol. An impressive release from House Aramis, available at just about any drugstore or superstore, that smells anything but. When I saw this I expected some weak juice like the ones previously released by some high-end sportscar companies and found instead a very crisp aromatic manly scent... A quite green citrusy opening surprised my nose and widened my eyes. The warmth in the spicy floral heart is tinged with the slight bitterness of artemisia yet overall is smooth and herbal. The drydown is a pleasant woody musk and throughout the whole I swear I can detect cypress though it is not listed among the notes. This is a very well blended scent consistent with the quality of an Aramis release though its 'volume' never reaches the level of say Havana or Tuscany. This is an excellent choice if you want to smell clean, manly and fresh but don't want to pay an arm and a leg... Sillage: good Longevity: decent Overall: 3.25/5 This is very good for an eau de cologne concentration and I have received a few compliments on this after I could no longer detect it. The tin this comes in I have found, is perfect for storing sample vials or small decants. I originally purchased 'Mustang' and passed on this because there was no tester out at that time after I tried the original, I bought this the next time I saw it and truly enjoy it...

A fresh, synthetic, casual fragrance for kids to teenagers. Nothing spectacular, really affordable.

Mine must've been sitting out in the sun because it smells like alcohol, chemicals and nothing pleasant whatsoever

Todays fragrance of the day. Opens smelling reminiscent of a nice day of swimming in a pool... but the pool is full of dead insects, algae, and there's a wet dog running around. Jokes aside, I'm not sure if there are two versions of Mustang Blue as the notes I pick up differ from what's listed, but this smells like seaweed, which to me is a note that smells like wet dogs when used in fragrances. If you don't mind seaweed as a fragrance note, this is alright as an aquatic fragrance. It reminds me of Ocean Pacific (OP) Blue, which is not listed on Fragrantica and also has the wet dog seaweed note. I actually hate this and regret buying it.
