Foreplay

A bit surprised by some of the reviews here... Foreplay is a very sweet honey, vanilla and amber scent that stays incredibly true to the listed notes. It smells exactly how you would expect it to, but completely blows your mind in terms of performance. Easy 14-16 hours on skin, lasts for days on clothes and projects very strongly. Yes, we here in East Europe are not used to paying 100 euro on middle eastern perfumes and I guess this is the main reason some people hate on this. But when performance is this spectacular, I believe every spray of this perfume is worth every penny. And mind you, this is NOT their strongest perfume. Just get a sample of Unstoppable for example and then try getting it off your skin if you can. This being said, none of their perfumes are complex. They all smell the same from the beginning until the end, but sometimes this is not a bad thing. While I do love my perfumes to develop, change and surprise me, sometimes I find it quite ok to put on something that smells exactly how I would expect it to, but for a whole day, without needing to re-apply.

It is nothing unique or new but a very pleasant creamy and possibly one of the best presentation of this DNA, i assume due to the honey note... It is really lasting too but still think it is a bit overpriced

For sure it has rose🙄 smells very powdery with grandma vibes.

This smells exactly like Oud Mood ( Gold) from Lattafa.

I know a lot of people who love this perfume, but it is not something I like or was ever able to get used to. Perfumes tend to turn sweet on my skin and in this case the combination of vanilla, honey and patchouli gets to a nauseating level of sweetness which I highly dislike. It is also a very linear scent, there’s nothing surprising or special about it. That being said, if you like sweet, simple perfumes with a hint of spiciness, this is a safe blind buy - longevity and silage are good on this one.

Again we see popular notes listed to describe a perfume, and again all lies. I guess they called it Foreplay because you can smell some animal notes, but that’s definitely not enough for such name. You can also catch a hint of pepper and sweetness, and then due to the musk it smells clean. I mean animal, clean and sweet.. a no from me.

Everybody is saying that the perfumes of this brand are simply cheap oriental perfumes but with more expensive prices and while I would agree about some of the DNA-s being similar , no other cheap oriental fragrance has the projection/sillage that My Gheisha has. Hate all you want but that is a fact and the main reason for their success. People like fragrances that have great longevity and projection, including myself. This is why I dont buy cheap oriental perfumes although some of them smell very nice and it’s a shame because there are some that I really really like.

It’s ridiculous how this company became rich by putting cheap middle eastern perfumes in some bottles that look fancy and selling for much more than it should. This perfume smells the same as Riffss Incense Gold or many other middle eastern perfumes with the same DNA. It is also similar to Fragrance World Mocha Wood, which costs only 1/4 of what they are asking for My Geisha fragrances. Just take a look at the bottle of Fragrance World Mocha Wood. Looks familiar?

How can 8 people agree that Foreplay resembles Shaghaf Oud when they share vanilla as their only common note, is beyond me. I own Shaghaf Our pre-reformulation (Arabic writing on the bottle) and it's a heady combo of saffron, oud, chocolate praline and some rose. It is sweet but it has no tobacco, patchouli or honey notes like Foreplay, and although fairly strong, it doesn't have the latter's projection and longevity either.

Incredible for the price. This is sexy, powdery, sweet and long lasting. I don’t think it smells like Oud bouquet as per similar suggestions but I guess it smells a bit similar to Oud silk mood to me if any. Need to try more as only have a sample and used it all but strong 8.5/10

I smell rose in it, even says so in store. Overall, i don’t get the hate. Could be a little more tabacco-y tho, vut that’s just prefference.
