Alada

I bought this in Spain on my first "girls" holiday on my own in Spain in 1983. It was in a department store and the assistant tried to steer me towards the French brands, saying this is not for you, cheap, Spanish stuff ( she may used a ruder word my Spanish O level didn't cover...?!) It cost very little ( which was lucky as we were on a very tight budget, mostly for booze ) but was perfect for the Spanish sun. An almost unisex, very dry and green. Starts with some citrus notes, some spicy florals and ends with oakmoss. You can see a direct connection to things like Alliage that was popular at this time. I went back and bought Maja, too, which I wore back home ( and loved) .I bought these year on year after that Alada is special holds the memories of my first holiday romance ( anybody know the song: Summer the First Time 😉 )

Nice classic one! Sporty floral, woody, and musk-based fragrance that opens with the citrusy lemon, lime, peach, mandarin orange, and sage while the heart is made up of Jasmine, Carnation, Cyclamen, and some spicy notes. Dry down is all about the leather, oakmoss, musk, and cedar. Citrusy and fresh with a zesty and lively vibe.

Very nice, rather like the original Aliage. Just a bit too sporty for me, and I have other greens I like better such as Givenchy III, Capucci's Graffiti, Heure Exquise, Murasaki, Floramye, etc.

A real classic of early 80s for young women here, fresh and citric, I remember my sister using this one

Oh, how I love this kind of thing. Dry, refreshing, with a sophisticated citrus element. Very slightly bitter - but also a little sweet, for balance. Refined, and not masculine despite its leaning towards a cologne vibe - but a guy could certainly use and enjoy it too. The drydown is pretty musky, so if you hate musk this may not be for you. This is probably the most "masculine" phase of the fragrance's development. But it's still soft and enjoyable to me and I'm generally not a fan of musk. I can't wait for the hot weather to try this in its proper element. It's easy to imagine someone using this on holiday in Spain. Wonderful!

OMG I can't believe I found this here. I use to wear this when I lived in Spain and I could not afford anything else. Love it!
