The Geisha's Secret Garden

Fresh dewy juicy grassy green with a vegetal bitterness that is a bit challenging for me. The opening has a vegetal quality that reminds me of chewing on a green bell pepper or a pea pod fresh from the garden. I'm also reminded of a flower shop, just that it gets a little clean/soapy (still green though!) in the later stages. An atmospheric fragrance. The image I get (other than the green vegetables or flower shop) is walking in a Japanese garden after the rain, cutting off a hyacinth stalk and getting a whiff of the sap and the florets. It's extremely green. I get only very faint florals and no fruity notes at all, the aldehydes aren't very prominent but a welcome addition. It stays rather linear, there is no transformation. It mellows out a little bit though as time progresses. Transforms into a green, mossy, slightly woody skin scent that's still dewy and a little soapy. Fans of pure green, non-sweet, dewy, "garden after the rain" and hyacinth scents will probably really like this one. Great layering potential with soft florals, mellow fruits or gentle woody/aromatic scents (it's overpowered easily!). I layered it with a pear-melon-jasmine fragrance from my collection that is a bit too sweet for me, and they balance each other out beautifully. Sampling is strongly recommended.

A pleasant flowery smell, I would guess it's the hyacinth. So mostly flowery, and some green notes. I don't pick up the fruity notes. I find this feminine, and I would not wear this personally but it would smell good on someone feminine.

A wet soily earthyness, a feminine soft greenness, almost as if you freshly picked a leaf of rhubarb on a rainy day, mixed with a buttery and fresh white floral smell from the aldehydes. Pleasant but neither my favorite, nor my type of smell. I could imagine this being loved by women that love green fragrances a lot. I'm not the biggest fan of green scents and if i ever reach for one, i pick something undoubtedly masculine and bold like Amouages Epic Man. 5.5/10
