Bold Woman

Fruity-berry notes are prominent- not sure why they aren't listed. Anyway... Not the most homogeneous blending. There is a blank spot in the lower heart where nothing really happens. We have a base which is not unlike that of 'Alien' with facets of amber, tobacco, coumarin, dark sugar, patch, and black vanilla. Over this is a fruity-floral mixture which resides in the top and high heart and hits your nose first, and then starts fading to reveal the base. It strikes me as if there were two, separate fragrances that were constructed independently and then thrown together. I "like" 'Bold Woman' and would wear it (the base is nice), but don't find it particularly thrilling or well-executed.

As usual, Nabeel has fine quality and sometimes surprising note combinations. For me, the surprise is primarily in HOW the notes combine... to produce something I'd never have envisioned from the notes! Which is not a bad thing. With Bold Woman, the first surprise is that she is not bold. This is nowhere as overwhelming as Nabeel's Empress, for example. She is also not demure and old fashioned or ladylike as the adorable artwork on the package suggests. This is a modern fragrance in every way, not something our grandmothers would have found familiar. What we have is a creamy, somewhat green scent for wearing in hot weather. I don't primarily smell vanilla, just a slightly sweet aura. The overall scent is one of naturally sweet melons... A great scent for those who love honeydew or even cantaloupe. Perhaps the fir combined with the rose and amber? A fun blind buy, for sure! Conclusion: Personally, I found Bold Woman to go sour on my skin, something I have experienced with many otherwise lovely scents. NO loss. I enjoyed the testing experience! As for My personal favorite 'easy wear' fragrance from Nabeel - I suggest "Christina", which is so pleasing that it instantly suggests itself as a stocking stuffer. Christina has a gently sweet aura, with a hint of strawberries and cream. Lovely!

Interesting. It starts out mostly woody on me. A dry woody, with an almost mentholated tinge. I don't smell the vanilla or even the rose, although that must be what keeps it from being overly masculine or arid. Then it softens and gets a bit more floral, but slightly cool. i think it's easily unisex. I like it. As with all the al rehabs, I only use the tiniest of dabs.

This is a pleasant oil that is fruity (berries) with a little bit of tartness grounded vanilla and musk. I dont think there is anything "bold" about it - it is just pleasant, versatile - this I feel would appeal to younger population in my opinion. Heck I wear it as a guy, and I like it.
