Nice fragrance... a beautiful, dewy rose with a subtle note of cardamom. Unfortunately, it lasted only 2-3 hours on my skin. Might be best when layered, perhaps over King of Sandal, which lasts for a long time.

A sweetie here at Fragrantica gave me a decant of King of Rose to sample, and it is quite the experience. I have the oil - no idea how it compares to the spray version shown here. A beautiful, fresh green rose with a bit of citrus and striking amounts of Oud and.... GINGER?! Indeed, that's what I'm smelling! Very fresh, crisp, and therapeutic. Nothing at all sweet or overtly feminine here. A man could wear this with ease, with or without layering more oud or sandalwood. The drydown is more distinctly rose, but still carries a surprisingly powerful whiff of the aforesaid spicy ginger/oud combo. In the oil form, I find King of Rose both Powerful and Memorable. Striking, rather than 'pretty', King of Rose is well named.
