Camino de Azahar

The fragrance of Camino de Azahar was created in 2014 in two versions: one aimed at the male audience and another for the female audience. Both are part of the collection Ecosystems - Mediterranean and celebrate the iconic orange blossom, also known as the Azahar Flower (the Arabic word for white flowers). Although depicting a luminous perfume flower, the creative concept celebrates the balls and gala parties in the ancient Mediterranean cities such as Seville (Andalusia) and Palermo (Sicily). Based on this principle, it is easier to identify the olfactory path of both fragrances, which take us back to the perfume style of the 60’s, 70’s and the beginning of the 80’s. Camino de Azahar Man has notes of sandalwood, coffee, vetiver, verbena, longoza (also known as white ginger), tagetes and rooibos tea. It also has wild mushrooms and citrus accord (neroli, bergamot and Iranian black lemon), as well as honey, Damask rose and oils of indigenous origin: andiroba, ximenia and yangu (the latter, obtained from the Cape chestnut, a tree native to Africa). On the skin, the fragrance is oriental and spicy, with some citrus and woody nuances. It has an old school side that is very present and that, in a way, ends up limiting the age group that will like to wear it. Fans of classics like Gentleman (Givenchy), for example, will identify with this male version. On my skin, the output reveals a sour lemon juice, which mixes with the vetiver - in the heart of the fragrance - and receives a bath of honey and woods during evolution. Of course, there is a combo of nuances and facets, but this would be the "short version" of the smell that prevails for longer. Particularly, I was expecting a more vibrant and diurnal fragrance, drawn to the smell of neroli. It is the type of product that confuses the consumer who is attracted by the name but does not know the concept and the creative intention, and this is not good. In terms of quality, it has rare (and expensive) raw materials, which result in a fragrance of good projection and durability, of best result in days of mild temperature and that combines with more social style when dressing.
