Camino de Azahar Oro

In 2014, the perfumer Nadia Zuodar created the fragrance of Camino de Azahar both in male and female versions. They are part of the collection called Ecosystems - Mediterranean and extol the orange blossom, also known as the Azahar flower (the Arabic word for white flowers). A year later, she decided to create two flankers, this time having the glowing sun and the African Savannah as the scenario. Were born, then, the fragrances of Camino de Azahar Oro (for man and for woman), which are part of the collection Ecosystems – Savannah. This time, the concept celebrates humanity's connection to the sun, respected as a God - in some cultures - and symbolized by gold. The fragrance of Camino de Azahar Oro Woman has notes of neroli, lily, ylang-ylang, champaca, Cape verbena, Palo Santo, wild mushrooms, tropical fruits and nuts from Amazon, Namibian resins (Omumgorwa and Omumbiri), honey, vanilla, spices and indigenous oils (Ximenia, Andiroba, Yangu and Sapote). And as I did when I wrote my review for the male version, before talking about the perfume and what I feel on my skin, I am going to leave here some explanations: the champaca is a type of rare magnolia with stronger perfume. For this reason, its absolute has been much appreciated in the manufacture of noble fragrances; Sapote (also known as Mamey) is an original fruit from Central America and Cuba, widely used to make marmalades and its oil is obtained from the pressed seed; the Omumgorwa is a resin that only forms after a species of tree dies naturally (hence the importance of sustainable harvesting). It smells of ripe dates and tends to gain nuances of caramel over the years; the Omumbiri is unique to the place and serves as a scent to the Himba people. Its smell looks like myrrh, but it has a citric and earthy freshness and there is nothing similar in the market. If we observe, both compositions are very similar. The difference was the exchange of the giesta by the ylang-ylang and the addition of the exotic fruits, which gave the right tone of femininity to the perfume. On the skin, the female version has a lighter output without that mentholated aspect. There is less content of woods and incense and a more vivid lightness, with a greater presence of the neroli and the fruity accord, besides a more almond facet. It is also worth emphasizing that the DNA of both fragrances is respected (including in the 2014 versions) and that few times I came across fragrances made for both genders with such an immutable structure. You realize that they are different and yet they relate. Camino de Azahar Oro Woman has also good projection and excellent durability. In particular, I like ORO versions more than the originals. Not to mention the visual identity of the house, as well as the quality of the bottles, something that I had not yet pointed out in the reviews I have published so far, but which reinforce the reason why perfumes are considered high luxury.

Very sweet, almost coffee like and resinous. Sample kind of exploded on delivery, but was able to test it out. Almost like molasses in consistency, so very very long lasting. Would not suggest to put on clothes. Very beautiful, but I would love to see the brand create a haute value line for the general public. I doubt that even a single bottle will sell at the 4500$ price tag. Would surely be a 200-250 dollar bottle for sure, but the price is just outrageous beyond belief. I cant find any reason, even with the packaging, where even a wealthier individual would purchase this at full price.
