Metamorphose Lilas Day

The fragrance of Métamorphose Lilas was created in 2014 in two distinct versions: one for the day and more aimed at the female audience and another for the night, designed for both genres. A year later (2015) the perfumer launched two more versions under the same theme, called Métamorphose Lilas Cuir and Métamorphose Lilas Pink. In the case of this version, it is inserted in the collection called Ecosystems - Steppe & Grasslands and depicts the blossoming of the flowers (mainly of the Lilac flower) in the first rays of the sun after the harsh winter in the snowy steppe of Bulgaria. The creative concept speaks of metamorphosis in the landscape and in other forms of life. The fragrance of Métamorphose Lilas Day Woman features notes of lilac, iris, and lotus, forming the floral accord, patchouli, black tea and noble woods (sandalwood and blue cypress), as well as vanilla, tonka bean, coconut, beeswax and oils of Ximenia and Ucuuba. It is worth explaining that Ximenia - also known as African sour plum - has oil of consistency similar to that of honey. The Ucuuba generates a butter, from its seeds, with strong woody content. On the skin, Métamorphose Lilas Day Woman begins with a floral and woody explosion, in which the balsamic nuances dictate the rules and, if we think about the final audience, they can even scare. There is much green content as if they were lilies of the valley wrapped by moss and loaded with a balsamic smell. The biggest difference, in my opinion, is thanks to the presence of black tea, which brings a more aromatic tone in the background. In terms of evolution, it is a scent of high diffusion, but it loses its strength very fast. It has what we call, in perfumery, as "hook", but it does not have good tenacity. Over time, it smells a little more sweet and powdery, which is when the note of the iris most appears. Still, although it is considered a floral-gourmand, on me it behaved like a soft chypre-floral. Honestly, it did not captivate me.
