I have to agree. This is an evergreen forest bottled. Wow. Fresh pine, iris and myrrh are the dominant notes, yet they somehow do not dominate the others. By god its a beautiful blend. I can smell the florals with the berries and moss floating amongst the pine needles. Everything here smells fresh and real. The whole composition also feels as though this evergreen forest has just been rained upon which just adds a chef's kiss to an already perfect blend. It's truly magnificent. I have a few other fragrances from this house but Sous Bois is the star of the show for me. Easily unisex, with strong longevity and silage. You'll garner no complaints from wearing this beauty. I honestly think it's a masterpiece evergreen fragrance.

This is an exceptional fragrance. Your hunt for the perfect pine fragrance is over. This is an entire woodland in a bottle, from the fresh scent of evergreens, tangled wood, all the way down to the forest floor which covered in moss and grassy bluebells. Iris adds an elegant softness. It is so well blended. Easily the greatest thing I've smelled in the last five years. It is beyond gorgeous. Full bottle worthy. Back up bottle worthy. Best fragrance of 2022 worthy. 100% unisex. Strong performance. I cannot wait to smell more from Nancy Meiland if this is anything to go by.

Update Christmas Eve 2022 I’ve decided to wear this on Christmas Day. It’s just so special and fits the season so well. Iris and fresh pine. Gorgeous stuff.

Pine, iris and cloves are dominant. Nancy Meiland is based in my home city of Brighton so I was able to spray it in store. Now I wish I had been able to take more time to pay attention to the notes. The opening felt slightly harsh but the drydown is just stunning, a gorgeous blend of iris, moss and myrrh. Classy and timeless.

Just had the most enjoyable half an hour in Nancy's shop in Brighton, where the incredible sales assistant sprayed all the 12 scents for me and talked me though them, then we tried two on skin. This was one of my choices (the other was Jasmine Sacree) and it is so natural smelling, beautifully blended and balanced. The pine is a million miles away from toilet cleaner, and although there are a lot of notes, it doesn’t feel cluttered or muddled, rather crystalline and fresh, like a pine forest after rain. A masterpiece.

Sampled today in store and this a lovely scent. A scent that smells in the realm of fougeres but isn't harsh are too masculine. The Irish softens this greatly and could easily be worn by a man or woman. Classy and formal is what springs to mind. Very enjoyable
