Nanette Lepore

If you want a cheaper version of this get linn young mixed emotions. Honestly it is the absolute copy of this perfume, I have both. They smell exactly alike, except this one has stronger sillage. They share loads of the same notes such as rose, peach, violet, sandalwood and jasmine. Anyway i wanted this beauty for ages due to loving and adoring the vintage shabby chic looking bottle and i finally bought it. It is cute, adorable and looks perfect among my others. I am not disappointed it is exactly what it says it is a strong thick heavy powdery rose scent. It's rose, rose, rose. Not slight rose, not a gentle rose blended in with other notes. This is a top thick, heavy dominant rose scent. I love rose scents so im thrilled. Yes the top 3 notes for me would be roses, peaches and violets. It's thick but also powdery which is difficult to achieve with a fragrance. This is simply put, a powdery, ultra feminine fragrance with predominant rose. I love to spray it on me when i get out of the bath before bed. It's powdery, comforting & charming. As it settles and the powder comes through i do detect the smell of makeup powders and cosmetics and the like along with the rose for some reason. Anyway its very womanly and feminine and charming and the bottle is adorable. I love it and shall treasure the bottle always.

Very berry and girly, does not remind me of J'Adore Dior. I really like this one, it isn't something i wear all the time but it is special enough that i keep it in the front of my dresser. I spray it at night, or when i don't really know what else to put on for the day. This is certainly a safe scent in my opinion, will please most people and give you a serene feeling. It doesn't smell too synthetic to my nose and it lasts for a long time! EDIT: I change my mind this does remind me of J'adore, the reason being is the first 5 minutes of Nanette makes it a dupe but the dry down is very different. J'adore is very sparkly fizzy and remains this way throughout its life, Nanette dries down to a powdery berry and remains this way (still really nice though). The reformulation of J'adore is blasphemous!! It barely lasts 1 hour on my clothes whereas it used to last for days! Nanette is much cheaper and lasts for about 36 hours and is close enough to Dior to make it a dupe. This certainly doesn't smell cheap! It is very good quality for such a low price.

My first review on fragrantica.com i'm giving it to nanette lepore's signature fragrance! <3 I got this bottle back in 2004 when it first launched. This is the first bottle of perfume I ever purchased in my life before many other ones. I was hanging out with a friend at Macy's who is trying to get a bottle of perfume that day. The sales lady let both of us tried this and I happen to fall right in love with this scent. It was so lovely, it was love at first sight (no kidding). I got the smaller sized bottle right away. This scent is amazing. It is sweet, calm and dreamy. It's the kind of scent that locks down certain emotions...the kind of scent that brings back memory from the happiest moments of life. I love it so much that I stop wearing it afraid i'd run out. It's kinda funny that now I only open it once in a while to sniff the scent when I miss it. I really wish I have gotten the largest bottle instead of the smaller one. Now I'm still in search for a legitimate source to get the largest size.

At first sniff this lovely seems like glaceed fruit, as if it might be a sweet treat that's quickly gone, but then the roses embrace the fruit and carry the fragrance to a rather "baby doll" or kittenish kind of sexiness. I sprayed, enjoyed the scent of roses but thought this might not be a keeper but about an hour later I noticed my skin radiating the most gorgeous sandalwood/amber cloud with bouquets of violets! Ah, violets. Violets always make me smile. Here they're warmed by amber and sandalwood and made a bit powdery with what remains of roses from the top notes. I don't know how this happens and am happy to think it must be magic. Rarely has a fragrance surprised me the way this lovely one has done. From opening to dry down it's as if two entirely different fragrances have taken turns dancing on my skin, to the delight of my nose. Very long-lasting in the drydown stage and oh my! does it ever get compliments! I love it!

Nanette Lepore what a lovely floral, sweet and can get a tad heavy. This would be a lovely floral for fall or winter. It does not have a sugary sweetness to it. The sweetness comes from the peaches mostly. It is very rich for such a light hearted fragrance. I am quite fond of it but find that it can give me a headache if I wear it on the wrong day. It has a similar character to Ghost by Ghost but it is a bit more powerful. From what I saw on the Nanette Lepore website was that the Black Bottle seen here is the same fragrance as the Pink Bottle. The only difference being it was concentrated version only sold in a smaller size. This is a well made perfume I enjoy it dearly, I do have to be careful which days i wear it in order to not get a headache but on the right days it is perfect! Almost what i could imagine what a fairy would smell like.

Nanette Lepore is such a lovely lovely perfume. White cranberries! Yum! And delicious peach, and the most gorgeous flowers - it's a totally gorgeous perfume for me. I love the bottles of this lovely house, and feel special when I wear this. It's such a cute and adorable bottle. And the box!!! So cute and pretty! And the perfume is adorable too. Lovely fruit and flowers, especially the violet, and the rose also, and the beautiful dry-down with the violet and sandalwood - very sweet, delicate and smooth. It's a lovely delicate perfume, very feminine and ladylike. It suits me to a tee. I feel more feminine than usual when I wear Nanette, it seems to enhance me somehow. It's such a favourite of mine, that I forget I have any other perfumes sometimes! I wear it and wear it and never get sick of it. It's beautiful.

I have low tolerance for sweet floral-fruity perfumes but this Nanette Lepore perfume is just amazingly well made that I fell in love with it the instant i smelled it! Unquestionably the ONLY sweet, floral fruity perfume that I truly love. Its so soft and innocent and it has a creamy feeling to it. It is sweet but not cloying at all, it is very soft. Plus its one of a kind, I've never smelt anything quite like it. Whenever I smell it, I feel like I'm a little girl again =) yes the scent is that innocent! And I think the bottle represents this perfume perfectly! Its a great first perfume for young girls.

I Love this honestly think it might be full bottle worthy and A very nice everyday fragrance Definitely jadore DNA no doubt about it this is definitely a spring and summer fragrance it lasts pretty well though I haven’t tested it in this summer weather i think it will do well . Anyway it’s so light and clean 🧼 It’s jadore but sweeter and honestly just the younger version in my opinion LOVE 💗 This gives me sophisticated women who’s effortlessly Gorgeous and radiates a positive light (her source is Jesus.) With that being said I’ll most likely be purchasing a bigger bottle

I think Nanette Lepore is one of the best perfumes i have ever owned, it is so beautiful such a fresh fruity floral scent i dont get what someone said about it drying down to an oriental i dont get that on my skin and i dont get all the rose and violet everyone speaks about for me it is all about the cranberry this is my favorite scent of all time its fresh and makes me feel really pretty when i wear it, this is my go to spring and summer perfume i love it so much i even wear it in the winter.. It is a must have in my collection at all times !!!!!

I think as this settles it's exactly like Bora Bora Exotic, meaning I LOVE this scent! I think this is "old fashion". I know some of you don't care for this description but it is! It's exactly as some say, a fairy would smell, very feminine, it's a very prim and proper scent, refined enough for a princess. There IS a royal wedding to come soon I hear!? This is top of my list lovely! I simply love violet, always have. If you don't care for violet, I warn ya, step away and just admire the pretty little girl bottle! oh this is just fairytale dreamy.

One of my selfish little main stays. Drys down to a super sweet SHARP incense floral with only a hint of fruit. It only takes a drop of this powerful little juice, anymore and you'd be knocking people out !!! The sandalwood, cranberry and violets stays with my skin on this one leaving the jasmine peeking out every so often. Extremely feminine fragrance. Never drew a compliment on this one, but it's for my satisfaction only :))

This is similar to Lulu Guiness, but smoother. J'adore is superior, but its in the same family. Very feminine, floral, cheerful. Unless it just doesn't gel with your personal chemistry, I don't see how anyone wouldn't like this. I recomend! Playful, light and adorable. A creamy rose with some sparkling juicy fruits and warm amber at base. Very resemblant of Dior Jadore but better IMHO. I agree with their description of this scent being bright and sparkling but at the same time warm and sensual. I feel this would work for every season, hot or cold. Delectable :)

Nothing else smells like this so don't even try. This was totally unique. No particular note stood out. It didn't smell too fruity or floral.. Just clean, yet sexy and it had a warmth. The violet is there but it just melds with everything else. NL is a zesty fragrance that you could wear anytime.

This is much sweeter than my usual perfumes - but it is a beautiful powdery violet rose so is deliciously worth it. It is difficult to not stop sniffing my wrists when wearing this. While it is a powdery scent it is not heavy or old fashioned and is a happy, comforting, nuzzling scent.

This was a very amazing blind buy. I fell in love with the first sniff. I can actually smell cranberries and roses. It has a very refreshing, yet fruity and floral fragrance. I was lucky enough to get this gem on Ebay for $13 for a 3.4 oz. EDP. Excellent sillage and longevity.

Just bought this perfume for Xmas - unsniffed have to admit - but didn't disappoint me at all. Yes it reminds me of Jadore, too - which is also great!!! Romantic and sweet in a unique way, but easy to wear and lasts for ever!!! Nice packaging too!!!

If bright pink as a color had a scent to match, this would be it. The rose note was strong for me, but was sweetened by the berries. Like summertime in an English garden, perhaps? Rather than sexy or sensual this scent is playful and coy to me.

OBSESSED!! Can't stop sniffing myself. It smells so fresh and fruity. Reminds me of shampoo and the fragrance lasts for hours. After a while, it becomes very powdery but I can still detect the fruit. One of my new favorites.

hmmm i've never smelled anything like this :-o its amazing,sexy,fresh and sweet in a good way! its a little little bit similair to Laura Ashley's Magic Garden but i like Nanette way more! the price is also suprisingly nice

To me this perfume smells like warm and cozy creamy powder. Definitely can feel jasmine in it. One of my favorite perfumes. Love it's uniqueness. Very long lasting, up to 12 h.

Another blind purchase, found for a steal at TJ Maxx. I bought it knowing I'd at least like the attractive bottle... But the juice inside is pretty, as well. There's something about it that consistently reminds me of Bath & Body Works' long-discontinued Pear Blossom; it's a fresh fruity-floral with a powdery softness. Very in line with some of Victoria's Secret fragrances from the earlier 2000s as well, if you like that style; something about it is making me think of the Sexy Little Things line of skin care/ bubble bath, though I don't currently own any of those to compare. The peach is pretty dominant, as is the rose (it's a fruity, powdery rose, though; not too overbearing). I get some of the jasmine as well, especially in the dry down after the fruity-fresh notes become a bit less dominant. This doesn't come across as too sweet, at least not when compared to some of the sugary fruity-florals that are on the market today. I'd describe this as a relatively safe scent that still has some quirk and charm.

Got this for .99 cents so I figured why not. It’s actually a very pleasant, fruity rose. I don’t get the peach so much, unless it’s just peach skin or peach blossoms or something but there’s nothing cloying or overly sweet about this scent. It kinda reminds me of Parisienne by YSL, but less plasticky. If you like the plastic vinyl note in that one this might not compare but I personally just liked the lowkey relaxed berry rose scent that one had. This is stronger on the rose note but also has the berry/cranberry notes of that one. It also does smell somewhat like Marc Jacobs Lola. Actually quite like it now that I think about that rose heart note. I miss my bottle. But now I have this so I’ll enjoy using this up. I have no idea how full my bottle is because I got it used and it’s opaque, but I’ll spray it til it’s gone, and I wouldn’t be opppsed to a repurchase if it can still be found!

I have been wearing this all weekend, and I just love it. It's lovely and sweet, but without vanilla or chocolate. I get sugary violets and creamy roses, but before they get too cloying, lime shows up to hold it all together. I feel so girly and pretty wearing this...it's not really a "sexy" scent, but it makes me happy when I catch a whiff of it. Staying power is excellent. A couple of sprays in the morning lasted until well into evening, especially on my clothes. I hope it smells as good on me as I think it does, but I just know that *I* like it, and I'll be wearing it often. (My 15-year-old son thinks it smells like I just got out of the shower. So on his "shampoo vs. cat pee" smell-O-meter, it's on the shampoo side, for what it's worth.)

This one is really growing on me! It really is a "babydoll" kind of scent, it's adorable and sweet, but in a gentle, understated way, without actually being childish. It reminds me of the soft pink roses and ballerina dolls that I loved when I was very little. The bottle suits it PERFECTLY. It starts with delicate rosy berries, with violets soft and sweet in the background all the way through, and a hint of that sweet plastic doll smell. (which I don't find offensive at all.) It dries down to a pleasantly powdery, sweet sandalwood-violet. It sticks around for a while too, it lasted through the day for me, I only reapplied because I felt like it :)

I found a new 30ml of this quite cheap on eBay and bought it semi-blind. I've had a sample or mini of this many years ago and couldn't remember what I thought of it. I vaguely recall it being a bit creamy/lotiony smelling. Anyway, it's okay. I was right about it smelling like a body lotion, but I'm not loving it. I'm not sure why I'm surprised, because most fragrances in that scent profile haven't sat well on me. I should have paid attention to the comparisons to Blanc de Courreges. I've had that one before and ended up giving it away. This one is a tad rosier and fruitier, which puts it ahead of BdC in my opinion.

I had a sample of this years ago and upon first sniff I thought "Oh my goodness this smells like one of my old toys!" so in a way it kicked off my search for more dolly frags. Another fruit punch surrounded in roses, this one is a peach-lime-cranberry combination. Wearing this makes me want to don a pink cashmere sweater and use phrases like "Golly gee". It's so happy and young, almost retro. Fresh, girl next door impression with great lasting power. Ruffled skirts and heart shaped sunglasses, that's what Nanette Lepore feels like to me.

Sigh. I am disappointed--I love all of Nanette Lapore's other scents and I do think this bottle is adorable--but, while this opens with a fresh burst of rose and fruits, it simply does NOT last on me--usually rose based scents will wear well on me, but not this one! For the brief time I can smell it on myself, it reminds me a bit of Yves Rocher's "Flowerparty"--a bright mix of rose and citrus that a friend gave me--and I like them both, but the Flowerparty stays with me better!

I love this perfume, I just have to say it right off the bat. It's so nicely done with the soft florals and beautiful frity aspects. I'm very pleased with the sillage and staying power. I do see the similarities to J'dore and I don't really mind that because they are both beautiful fragrances. The bottle is absolutey something else, it's so cute with it's powder pink color and the black with white polka dot bow on it. I would repurchase this again, it's just so easy to love.

This is the second perfume I have tried from her and I really like this brand. The bottle is adorable, so cottagecore. It’s a soft inoffensive perfume I would wear daily. Sweet and fruity but not as sweet as Beautiful Times. That one I use in the cooler months right after a shower and can smell all through the day. This is more of an all season scent. Just a nice one to wear when you want to smell good in your jeans and tee on a spring or summer day.

Not sure what this used to smell like in its prime but to me it smells a lot like Cacharel Noa, like powdery, white lotion, Nivea cream type scent. Slightly more sweet and rosy and fruity but mostly like a baby pink tin of Nivea cream. It's cute and a good first perfume because it's inoffensive and just smells like you're clean and powdery and you can't really overspray it.

This is Perfume, with a capital P. That is, it's the kind of scent I think of when I think about modern women's perfume in general. That's not to say it's generic; behind the flowers and powder there's a strong overtone of nostalgia. It smells like an elusive but comforting memory, yet youthful. The perfect scent to wear to a (21st century) tea party.

I bought the roller ball of this at tjmaxx a few years back for all of $4 and I have to say this is a delight. So strong and rose/musky almost a stomach full of starch it's so pasty of a smell. Like. Thick. And very heavy on rose and musk. I like it tho. Clean smelling almost expensive. But very heavy I could imagine it enducing a headache for some

Green apples (not listed) proceeded by a lime spritz and musky amber. It changed on me throughout the day, predominately lime and amber. It's a conservative fragrance, fabulous for spring/summer and in the office. If it had a little more zing, it would be gorgeous, however, it is lovely and clean smelling.

This is a weird one and hard to describe. I'd say it smells like berry-scented lotion. It's sort of "wet" smelling in a weird way. Probably because of the fruity middle notes. Some days I like it, other days I can't stand it. Kind of sticky smelling. I don't detect many floral notes here.

Rosy perfume that reminds me of new doll scent; kind of synthetic but in a good way. I don't know what note gives that vibe, but used to enjoy that very same scent on my dollies. A feminine powdery long lasting scent. A really affordable classy scent perfect for everyday and work.

Lovely bottle and lovely fragrance. It's a great light fragrance for an adult and also a great "first" fragrance for a teen. It's a soft floral with a hint of fruit. I get lots of pink baby roses on a layer of powdery sandalwood. Beautiful!

Smells like a smooth and silky body lotion. This perfume is very soft floral. I like it a lot, very easy going and would be great for the office as well as for romantic date. Very likeable!

Lovely and nostalgic perfume. This makes me feel cozy and feminine in a safe, girly, but not sexy, way. I'm not a fan of very powdery perfumes, but this is an exception.

Very juicy fruity floral. To me, it registers as pear mainly in the top with some indistinct florals underlying and fades fast. Mediocre. No wow factor.

Vintage & adoreble bottle. Abit too sour to my taste but I think it's quite nice. Last quite okay cause it's a light-weight parfume.

I'm giggling as I'm reading and writing about this perfume. According to the votes, this is a rose heavy / peachy sweet feminine concoction; and I waltz in with my nose seeing the pyramid completely inverted. Reviews below suggest divisiveness, although first smell does support that result, I am confused at drawing any real conclusion about the nature of NL. There is something peculiarly sharp, which occasionally falls toward putrid - like the tanginess of festering fruit, or a freshly opened bottle of cranberry ale. That fermentatious odor, whose bum is blanketed in a natural sweetness, hits the nose effervescently. Currant, citrus and peach seem boozily over-maturated, submerging top notes into a hypnotically homogenized scent, reminiscent of childhood plastic. The bottle smiles back at me with its mid-century, womanly charm, and I stand suddenly softened. If rose is indeed present, her petals have been stripped and bludgeoned, into something bruised and exasperated - satin lost to the jammy maceration of drug store lip gloss. Violet projects a powdery verdancy, causing me to tilt my head in an attempt to grasp some sort of perspective. Jasmine is a fickle friend, appearing here and there, in its own time. Creamy sandalwood makes an appearance just as the party is over, and bewilderment continues right into the dry down. I am completely bemused as to my personal preference in the matter, which makes me ache for something more substantial to qualify. I search for some contrast to feel for the validity of this creation, and I am met with wanton irony. Essentially, it is the pause where we allow possibilities to prosper, and perhaps that will just have to suffice. Pleasantly peculiar, and housed in nostalgic beauty; there on my mirror, reflecting pensive curiosity with its cocktail candor. I exhale.
