Pret a Porter

This is, surprisingly, a very well blended fragrance. Notes suggest a gourmand-ish journey but edible notes are incredibly well balanced with floral notes and earthiness that comes from patchouli. Blueberry and panacotta definitely stand out but patchouli compliments them so the juice doesn't feel one bit sticky or cloying. I didn't have high hopes for this fragrance considering it's price tag and lack of any information on the nose behind it. I really wish I knew who is to take credit for the formula as they've done one hell of a fantastic job. I'm impressed with this perfume's sillage and longevity, despite being an EDT formulation, it clings to my skin for good 6 hours and projects quite well. Pret a Porter most definitely deserves attention in a "Bargain fragrance corner" column. It's really affordable and smells more expensive than a lot of other fragrances in my collection. It garners compliments and definitely stands out in the vast plethora of other celebrity juices out there.

Tart, fruity, gourmand floral? Update: the sweet depth of the fruit here really strongly resembles a more lighthearted My Burberry Black! It’s a close match. This is becoming a favorite feel good perfume with good performance. Amazing quality in this unassuming celebrity fragrance! Way better than expected. So good I will buy a backup and I don’t do that! It’s an instant mood lifting agent for my senses and falls into the floral fruity gourmand category without being totally obnoxious or cloying. The blueberry-pear dance is juicy in the top and quite playful. I’d categorize it as classy-joyful. There’s a freshness that takes it out of syrup territory. I’m really appreciating this especially for the price 😍

I changed my review from a like to a love after going back to this scent time after time. The fruity vanillary smell is comfortable to wear and the chemistry works so well on me. Bonus points for complexity as it offers a non linear olfactory experience. I originally scorned it as I use a lot of high end niche fragrances but glad I gave this a go - this is elegant and nuanced (and a tiny price tag).

I adore this fragrance! It exudes class. Today, I wore this for the first time and I am wowed! It is sweet, not syrupy. It is gourmand, but not headache-inducing. A wonderful scent! I am currently wearing this at work, but this is appropriate for happy hour and date night. If you are a fan of My Burberry Black, you will fall in love with Naomi Campbell's Pret a Porter.

I was gifted this, actually, by my best friends (a gay couple). The younger of the two apparently spent quite some time sniffing at the perfume counter and decided that this is indeed the fragrance that fits both me and their student wallets best, thus I got it as a Christmas gift. Unbeknownst to them, I am a fan of several of the perfumes released under the Naomi Campbell brand, but I was surprised that they would attempt to get me something as personal as fragrance, as I can be quite picky in that department. Pret-a-Porter reminds me a bit of My Burberry, sure, but My Burberry is less sweet, more floral and proper, even ladylike in comparison. Pret-a-Porter is fun, very out there, and the rose-peach combo reminds me a bit of the original Ghost (albeit without the futuristic turn-of-the-millennium esthetic). My friends said they found it "musky", I suppose it's the patchouli that reads that way, and indeed, this perfume is perfumey. There is nothing sheer about it. I feel like it should be dispersed for maximum enjoyment, a concentrated spray is probably too much. My fragrance wardrobe was lacking in fruitiness before the advent of this perfume. It's a great all-rounder, fruity floral without being boring or reading like fabric softener, works well during the day but elegant enough for evening wear, confident without being punchy... this perfume knows it's the shit but has no need to rub it in your face. I am very happy with my gift.
