Essence Eau de Musc

Went to hiland mall last night and I purchased three bottles of perfume.I didn't want to buy anything else,I just wanted to left the shop but while going outside I took shiny tester bottle of narciso essence eau de musc and sprayed it on my hand.I wanted to spray narciso essence on my other hand and compare them at home.as I sprayed it what I smelled was a faint powdered soap,cold and not even nice to my nose that is recently loving soapy scents.then I went and paid for perfumes I bought and sniffed my hand once more.heaven! My husband was waiting for me,he called my name while I was sniffing myself and smiling like an idiot and said "why you're not coming?please don't say you need another fume!it's not fair!" I wished I could say yes and go and return perfumes that I had just paid for and change them all with this one but I looked in tired,innocent eyes of my man and said"oh no,I was just testing.I won't buy another perfume for a month" hobby said I know you and I know when you look like heart-eyed emoji,you're in love. Ten minutes later we were in car while a tiny white box of narciso essence eau de musc was lying in shopping bag near other three perfume and I was sniffing my hand repitedly and laughing at everything like a child who has experienced beautiful face of love for the first time.I didn't want to compare it with other essence on my other hand.I didnt want to think that I may fibd it a little cheaper online(I bought a 2.5 bottle for 50$,I would pickup 4.2oz one if we could afford) Lets skip my diary and conme to the point of scent. Don't try this one(or any perfume with dominant musk)on paper or your clothes.it needs to become warm with your body temprature and mix with your skin to show itself so as time passes it blooms and becomes better and better Yes there is a delicate,pretty rose here.there's iris in it's non-earthy luxurious floral form and there's amber to add a touch of sweetness and warmness and I can even smell a very faint hint of something citrusy but true player is musk and I truely needed a musk scent for my spring.it's not like the musk in narciso for her edp and edt which can be sometimes nauseting and heavy for me(although I sometimes love it)it's a light,clean and powdery musk which I die for. I usually use rosey soap,or iris and talc bodywash in bathroom and then douse myself in body fantasies white musk spray right after shower.then I spray a puff or two of dior jador voile in my hair and on my clothes to create such a scent.I had a vision of a scent,light,soft,clean,heavenly beautiful,delicately sweet,angelic,a tad powdery and soapy,pure,crisp,refreshing,ageless,elegant It has all thr qualities I was searching for and even more Don't look for sillage in such a pretty,dreamy and angelic scent.it sits like kiss of angels on your skin.so it's an intimate skinscent.can't tell about longevity yet but that one spray on my hand was applied four hours ago and it's sill there I love it's bottle.it's unique and stabds out among all my other bottles.this mirror like,simple yet expensive looking bottle, matches very well with this pure lovely scent.if scents had colir this would be silver ❤❤❤❤❤ عطر خیلی دوست داشتنی.زیبا.بهشتی.لایت.لطیف.سبک.تمیز. ساده ولی باکیفیتی هست. کمی رز لایت و لطیف،زنبق تو فرم غیرخاکی،تو حالت لوکس پودریش،کمی امبر که وظیفه اضافه کردن مقدار جزئی گرما و شیرینی رو داره،حتی یه نت مرکباتی خیلییی کمرنگ هم حس میکنم اما بازیگر اصلی،مشک هست.مشک ملایم و لطیف،پودری و تمیز نه شبیه مشک نارسیسو فور هر ادوتویلت و ادوپرفیوم که میتونه گاهی سنگین و اذیت کننده باشه نارسیسو اسنس او د ماسک عطریه که مثل بوسه فرشته ها رو پوست میشینه و با پوست آدم یکی میشه پس انتظار پخش نداشته باشید. تو لحظه اسپری شدن رایحه خیلی سرد و صابونی داره اما به سرعت از بدن گرما میگیره و می شکفه پس دقت کنید که حتما رو پوست تستش کنید

Essence Eau de Musc Narciso Rodriguez (SS602X, 2nd hand, 120 ml.+, USD 85) GORGEOUS!, DEVINE!, CLEAN!, ANGELIC!, EDEN! Anything associate with Heaven can connect to this fragrance. Let's put it simple, Narciso Signature musk blends in clean, sparkle way. Mild Aldehydly. Bed of Cedar like material at the base, anything is blend-in to perceive as Musk fragrance. I don't perceive this fragrance as Nivea cream but more like soft beautiful rendition of white musk fragrance, the classic one - full body but light musk. This is surely ahead of it time if 1957 in 202x is so popular, Narciso Essence is the blueprint. I actually prefers this over 1957 as it a little bit flat than 1957 in a good way. Musk fragrance should never be complicate just priority of the white musk. Why Narciso Why? Why you discontinue something like this. I blind-brought Narciso For Him EDP Intense just to expect to smell something like this. Appreciate my fellow for passing this one, this is firm like to love for me at first sniff. Now, Now I must find the EDP concentration. God, but this is heavenly already. ==== Extension 1 on Oct 8, 2024 I found this to be appealing than 1957 as I found aquatic undertone that I don’t like. this is not prominent in this but rather merge to the profile, in the soft salty musk. Signature to Narciso. I think, another unique point is how airy fluffily and light. Bright and shine uncomplicated soft musk. I truly want to sniff the og, I truly do. But if my assumption is right, I think Eau de Musc will be unique by its airy quaity...

Just blind bought a bottle since I’m a bit of a NR fan and wanted to own one of the Essences. This one definitely does not have the sharp metallic clean notes when you first spray it one that the original has and is nowhere near a super stringent clean. It’s softer and resembles Prada Infusion Iris with tiny bit more sweetness from the rose. In fact, I’d guess many would think it’s Prada. Lucky me the Infusion is another set I love and collect so I’m thrilled to wear this too. But that bottle.... ❤️❤️❤️ it’s so gorgeous. So minimalist, and yet the shape is not austere. Hope they bring the Essence bottles back just for their beauty.

I am currently wearing this and it just struck me....it smells EXACTLY like Sensi by Giorgio Armani. I sprayed them both,one on each wrist...compared...and,YUP...IDENTICAL. I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the similarities. Actually kind of bummed because I own both. I had no idea before purchasing the NR.

Essence Eau de Musc by Narciso Rodriguez is steril clean musk and metallic iris that softens with powdered rose notes as it warms on your skin. If you are a fan of clean musks and skin scents then this Essence Eau de Musc is a must try!

This is the cleanest musk scent I've ever smelled! I believe the iris makes it like this. Really this is a soft rich smell that I imagine very understated wealthy women wear....

This is high quality. Like others have mentioned,this smells like Nivea cream,or a fancy soap,but with a fizzy musk added. This is simple,very nice and clean.

Yes, it's very similar to Prada Infusion d'Iris, but what no one has mentioned yet is that it's even more similar to Bvlgari Omnia Green Jade.

This perfume has caught my eyes. this one is one of the best scent I have ever tested. I adore this marvelous product.

The first time I sprayed this one, I thought 'OMG, I LOVE THIS I'M GOING TO BUY ANOTHER BOTTLE, YES!!'. It seemed like the perfect clean and noticeable musk, something to spray on after stepping out of the shower to trap that freshly washed feeling and keep it around the entire day. However, right now I've downgraded it from a 'love' to a 'like'. First of all, the initial scent on me is very heavy on the dishwasher soap-type citrus (it amazes me that citrus is not one of the notes). This fades away after a few minutes, but when sprayed liberally (more than 1 spray per arm), this top note can hang around for close to half an hour. The next phase is powdery iris and 'white' musk. It's the very clean, detergent-type musk, so it does indeed give the sense of being clean when worn on the right moment. When I sprayed it on immediately after a shower in the morning, though, it became boring and a little annoying to my nose, because it's like constantly being bombarded by little invisible planes. The fragrance is there the whole time, but it's like it becomes this 'white noise' that just interferes with whatever else is going on, without actually contributing a whole lot to my mood. When I spray it on after a long day, this is amazing, though. It is like a shower in a bottle, in the sense that it invigorates me and makes me feel like the day is only just starting. It's noticeable but not overly strong. Oh, the bottle is gorgeous! I am excited to find out how I feel about this once the weather changes. 3.5/5

I have a 125 mL bottle, and not sure whether this one is ever getting used up... It's one of those perfumes that are very clean and a litte animalic. It has the freshness of newly washed linens that have been hung outside. At the same time, there is a slight salty note - almost oceanic, almost a little animalic, almost a little ozonic, almost a tiny bit sour. Like, when I compare my newly washed clothes with nothing on, and newly washed clothes with this on, this makes my clothes smell slightly dirtier. It's one of those perfumes I can wear to the office and be sure that no one is getting offended as it isn't strong. If you're wondering whether you should be purchasing one of the old, overpriced bottles being sold on Ebay, I would recommend not to. This perfume gets weaker over time, and the bottle I have barely smells of anything - I have smelt 2 different batches and own two. There are better scents for lower prices - I'd just go for something molecular if I wanted to invoke the same feeling as this does. I don't think you should have FOMO over this one. Essence In Color is a slightly different story, if you choose to buy any from the Essence line, that's the one that is more like a "real" perfume, and it should have some smell left, although the longevity won't be great any more.

There is still some aldehyde at the opening of Narciso Rodriguez Essence Eau de Musc. But compared to Essence, it's much more demured and hides in the background after a few minutes. What's left is a smooth clean sweet musk with some iris and a little of rose and amber blended in, pretty much like the far drydown of Essence, and it stays so until the end. The sillage is close to the skin and the longevity is at least 10 hours. Although Essence is much brighter and has more caracter than Eau de Musc, the aldehyde in the former seems to be to much to my taste and I actually prefer Eau de Musc. It's soothing and comfortable, a lovely my-skin-but-better sort of clean scent. If you already have several my-skin-but-better fragrances, then Eau de Musc may not be indispensible. But if you haven't one yet and happen to be on the search, you may as well give Eau de Musc a sniff.

First I get Iris and Musk on my skin, then the Rose starts to dance at the middlenote and then the Amber is a bit shy in basenote. Musk/Irisnote goes thru from top to base on my skin. This one is a lovely scent and I lovet it! I love Prada infusion d'iris too, but this one is softer, more grown-up and elegant! A masterpiece. Not a strongsmelling scent but it encircling me for several hours in a very nice way. A true hug- or go to dance scent. Först känner jag Musk och Iris och i mellan noten dansar Rosnoten. Ambernoten tittar fram lite blygt i basen. Musk/Irisnoten följer genom hela pyramiden på min hud. Jag älskar Prada Infusion D'Iris oxå men denna är mjukare, mer vuxen och elegant. Ett mästerjobb! Inte en starkdoftande parfym men en doft som omringar mig i flera timmar på ett mycket fint sätt. En sann kram och dans parfym.

Not that I typically find the references in the "Reminds me of" or "People who like this also like" galleries to be spot on but in this case, I must say they seem way off. This scent is more akin to your classic powdery purples often used in a "makeup scent" (iris & violet for example) and I would say this is a bit closer in feel to JHAG's Citizen Queen but with the unmistakable sophistication of the Narciso musk tying it all together and moving it past any lipstick associations. This is an unusual perfume and rewards those who aren't demanding a recognizable "note" but would rather luxuriate in a masterful blend where the rose and iris are expertly joined atop a musky cloud with only the slightest touch of amber beneath. Worth the search if you can find it.

Edit 2/28: I've actually come to be obsessed with this perfume. Don't know how, but I tried it again yesterday and the skin scent part of it absolutely dominated in a good way. I love smelling this on myself. Original: This perfume is a vehicle for rose notes for people who don't love rose. Its so soft, subtle, and light that someone like me who generally isn't a rose person can't help but say "Huh, this is super inoffensive." The amber makes it a "skin but better" type scent, but in my opinion, I'd find more joy getting a whiff of this from someone else than from wearing it all day myself. Perfectly fine, will not get a repurchase. On someone else I'd clock this as "Wow, you're so clean even after all day" and like it, but I wouldn't know its a perfume.

You know, wearing niche fragrances all the time can make you feel a bit uptight after awhile. This casual, laid-back fragrance is the perfect break. This conjures up thoughts of Bvlgari's Parfumee Au The Blanc, but far more pleasant. The lasting power is wonderful. It has survived a rendezvous, a hot shower, a workout and yet another hot shower. That's at least 12 hours now.. It's a wonderful skin scent, as mentioned. It IS indeed feminine to my nose from the bottle. But once mixed in with my skin chemistry, it's a clean, floral musk that complements me all too well. My girlfriend loves this on my skin, also. P.S. - and YES, this version won my favor over the men's version by a long shot. The gender-bending lives on...

First of all, let me say this is a nice fragrance, not much to absolutely not like about it. Clean, crisp, light, nothing overbearing. But....where is the musk? I am a huge fan of the original NR for Her and I smell more musk in that and the word "musc" isn't highlighted on the bottle so I was expecting a much more pronounced musk in this. But somehow I am missing it. I can normally smell musk in all ranges and do not believe I am anosmic to any types of musk but I am starting to wonder. I am only getting a soft, slightly milky citrus floral with a smidge of powder. But nothing musky. It smells nice...just not musky at all to me.

A soft version of original Essence, lighter, brighter and fresher. Lemon jumps out at first and fade with a soapy touch. After an hour it become a icy musky note, feminine but not popular! A soft musk scent left on my wrist after 4 hours. I won't wear it in office, but enjoy to have it for any other occasions. All seasons! (I wear Essence EDP mostly in cool Winter days) The silver skinny bottle in print ad looks cool & edgy! But the real one...just so so. Anyway, I quite like this new Essence. Nice job NR!

This was a blind buy for me. Actually bought it on sale at a store in Barbados thinking "eh,why not". I've tested it several times. Its generally a pleasant scent and has elements of freshness;however, I mostly use it at night just after showering. Its not a "going out scent" to me. It practically fades away within minutes on my skin. Would be nice if it remained for at least 2 hours. Anyway, yes...I recommened for use after showering, sipping tea and watching movies at home :)

LOVELY!!! Essence Eau de Musc is a very soft, musky and slightly powdery fragrance. Compare to the original Essence, this one is much more delicat and less powdery/soapy/talc-y. There is something fresh and airy in Eau de Musc. The only negative side is this fragrance doesn't last more that a couple of hours on the skin (at least on my skin) and every time I want to smell it, I have to bring my wrist very close to my nose. But despite this, I'm very happy with my blind buy!

(Revisiting my old bottles) Cold, chalky iris and soap combo. I went through bottle after bottle of this one, and it's discontinued now. Perfect for daily use because that "clean feeling" is worth everything. People around me thought of it as an upgraded Nivea, but I think the iris note actually gave it a pretty classy edge. This is a nice fragrance, but nothing more in my opinion... The white musk is really delicate, maybe too delicate for a perfume called "Eau de musc".. I don't smell a lot of it.. The iris is more strong, but still delicate.. I like this scent and I use it, but it doesn't worth the money in my opinion...a little bit boring for a Narciso Rodriguez scent.. But anyway it's ok for hot temperatures and for everyday..like it in the end.. :)

I bought this once and gave it away, then after years I bought another bottle because it was on sale. It's a quite clear musky scent, not original and not exceptional. I used the essence for a while which I prefer to this one. I find it very citrus and cold, I prefer a warm, skin musky scent to this. Plus on me it does not have any longevity.

I like this but not enough to repurchase it because it's so light and unremarkable with such little staying power. It's a skin scent that really does smell like skin cream. I admit I've refilled it with my own musky tea/rose/osmanthus concoction vs. buying a new bottle when I ran out of it because I love the bottle.

First notes are harsh solvent, then Baby powder, warmth, fluffy cotton wool, clean white cotton. On me it's just a skin scent, but pleasant. Bathing your baby then wrapping them in a fluffy white towel. It's nice but I'm not sure I'd wear it. Might be nice to spray on bedding before bed.

I tested it, in my favourite parfume store and I loved it. Unfortunatelly, in half an hour I couldn't smell it on me anymore .... I asked my friends to smell it and they really needed to get very close to my skin to notice it... Nice fragrance, but not really long lasting...

I like this fragrance but it's too similar to my Infusion d'Iris! I definitely pick up the Iris note, which overpowers the Rose note unfortunately. I like it but I don't think I'll be purchasing this one anytime soon, so I'll stick to my lovely sample of it.

Someone below mentioned the similarity to the Nivea cream. I absolutely agree. I sense it as soapy, powdery and creamy. Quite nice smelling fragrance. Iris note is very lovely in it. I also sense rose and musk. Soft, tender and simply enjoyable.

After smelling this one yesterday, I can say that I liked it. This one is a bit fresher and muskyer then the original essence. And I love musk it smells so nice on a warm summer skin.

I do love the smell of this perfume on me. Unfortunately, longevity is a lost concept here, and, of course, no sillage at all. I think I may not come back for more on this one.

I adore this feminine soothing iris fragrance. Smells like a luxurious, expensive soap. Enjoy its calmness and longevity- lasts at least 8 hours on my skin.

This smells exactly like Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo on me. It's not bad, and the dry down is less soapy, pleasant and clean.

nivea type scent. inoffensive, embracing, balmy, after the shower smell. OG essence is much more interesting and prettier.

This fragrance reminds me of Head and Shoulders shampoo, its a shame, another Rodriguez I dont like :(

...it's really strange how different skin reacts to scents... Almost everyone here claims this is undetectable, gone within minutes, ephemeral... Well, on me it has lasted nearly 12 hours! Mind you, i'm not wearing the eau de toilette but the fresher eau de musk edition with the glitter (supposedly a summer body spray)!! It is beautiful, truly musky (white, i hope..) and refreshing but not citrusy... I would say the rose gives it a candied taste, and the iris makes it slightly powdery! It has also nothing to do in my opinion with Essence, which on me is way too industrial, clean, sharp, heavy, artificial and kind of headache inducing... How these 2 share the same notes, is a mystery!! For musk lovers - or those who want to compliment, and enhance, their favourite musk perfumes (say musk by jovan or clair de musc by serge lutens) with a discretely glittering product, this is a must-try!

I smelled this in the store on a paper card, and loved it. The SA made me a sample, and I couldn't wait to try it. I've tested it over the past few days, and I can unequivocally say, that as much as I wanted to like this one, it just doesn't work on me. It has almost no sillage, and very poor longevity. And I suppose that is a good thing because the opening was quite sharp on me, and I expected powdery musk, but it turned into Deep Woods OFF on my skin. Literally, smelled like mosquito/tick repellant. I'm so disappointed. I am sure it's a perfectly lovely skin scent on the right body chemistry. The bottle is beautiful, heavy in the hand, and feels really rich.

The bottle is the best part of this fragrance. Very disappointing. Where is the musk?? Where is the iris?? I love both but detect neither here. I agree the smell is a bit like Nivea which I don't mind, but I do mind that it is gone in an hour.I will keep it just because the bottle looks good, but I would not repurchase. Save your money and buy a quality 'fume.

Nivea cream! Thank you! I couldn't put my finger on it.... It's that smell of sun cream which takes you instantly back to summer holidays. This is a one stop shop for me. Want to smell like musk? Or Nivea? Bang this on, jobs a good'un. Alternatively, you could smother yourself in actual Nivea cream. It would be cheaper and you'd get lovely soft skin.

This bottle is GLORIOUS, and if i didn't enjoy smelling perfume... this short lived beauty would be my dream 'fume (edt) Its very fresh, clean and close to the skin. I like it, but the lack of longevity was enough to convince me to return this one. The bottle was soooo stunning, that it hurt to send it back!

I received a sample of this and tried it on my skin. Smells same on skin as in bottle to me--unfortunately, I don't care for it at all. Smells like soap to me, plain bar soap with maybe a hint of baby powder. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it isn't sexy or chic.

Top notes were okay very soapy bright clean musk with hints of citrus and floral to it. Unfortunately the dry down is a " cedar" same as the one in Dolce & Gabbana Lt.Blue- so rubbing alcohol and pencil shavings. Not worth the $15 at Marshall's ,so I returned it .

Aroma musk tercium sangat kuat, condong maskulin.. Sedangkan Sy suka kelembutan, wangi irishnya samar-samar.

I can`t smell a thing! Not even if I PRESS the tester strip to my nose. Expensive tap water.

I like the original Essence by Narciso Rodriguez, and while there are not many differences between the original and this recent flanker, I do enjoy the muskier undertones and also the brighter citrusy accords in the opening of this fragrance far more than in Essence. This fragrance is quite airy. It's light, delicate and refreshing. It occasionally reminds me of the ocean air; salty and cooling. However the musk provides an interesting sensuality later on. The iris and rose blend together beautifully, like a soft floral bar of luxurious soap. It's hard not to like this fragrance. The musk is not unlike the prominent musk note in Narciso Rodriguez For Her. Musk really is making a comeback, particularly in a sensual way. Essence Eau de Musc, for me is a toned down and less creamy offering. On the skin it's like soap bubbles rather than laundry detergent. I'm not certain which one I like more, the original Essence or Essence Eau de Musc. All in all, this is a bright, fun and soothing scent that was a worthy Essence flanker in my opinion.

Heavenly bedtime musk. EedM starts with a transient fresh citrusy opening (a mild bergamot with a sprinkling of lavender to my nose), it soon disappears and then you are left for 2-3 hours with the most smooth, clean and elegant skin scent. It is a fuzzy-creamy (like an airy mousse), softly powdery musc due to the iris and maybe some heliotrope, but with no earthiness at all. I don’t get the amber but maybe it just adds some warmth and very slight sweetness. EedM has a very specific use for me. In summer, after my nighttime shower/bath and lotion I apply it liberally. It is so delicate, comforting and cuddly. You smell like a baby and probably will sleep like one. An expensive use, but very satisfying to indulge once in a while. Disclaimer: the bottle I have is see-through not mirror like. But the juice has a very fine, silver, shimmering powder that adds a nice sheen to the skin. I am joining the others that this is soft , musky , lovely , daylong, fresh etheral and has resemblance with essence.I had essence but like this better. Essence almost killed people around me due to its very powdery mixture. I like this as an early morning or lazy sunday skinscent, will use it to the gym or close encounters when you just wanna smell Fresh ! The bottle is heavy , classy but I really dont like non seethrough.. Otherwise a lovely fresh basic musk. Wouldn't say overprized cause it really is a well composed fragrance !
