Oud Musc

I was able to get my hands on a 100ml bottle for a highly discounted price. It is my very first NR perfume because I don’t like my perfumes lightweight and overtly musky. When I received my perfume, some of it had leaked out of the box it was kept in and the bubble wrap was damp. I decided to apply it all over my arm and hands and let the bottle sit for a while. 30 minutes later I kept wondering what was the interesting intoxicating scent I was getting everytime my hands came close to my face. I realized it was Oud Musc. I am a great lover of Oud and this is Oud with a very light hand which is perfect when you don’t want to overpower everyone with your scent. I have been trying it out with 3 sprays max and I like the scent bubble it creates. It really needs to be on your skin for the beauty of it to shine. It lacks character if sprayed on paper or clothes but blooms on the skin and right body chemistry. Would I have pulled the trigger if I had to pay full price? Not sure but I would definitely buy it again if I get a great discount again. It smells so unique and alluring. Do try a sample and enjoy its beauty.

Finally! After quite a search, i finally got my hands on this baby. My journey started one and half year ago with this one. I got a decent amount of sample for this one along with my other purchases. And with the first spray i was surprised how well it blended. Oud and musc, they are in their best. Warm, flowery sweet, soft oud shines through.. this baby smells cozy, sensual and captivating. Perfect for fall and winter. Longevity is close to 6 hours on my skin which some say it's not good but i feel pretty fine in this case. And beauty of this scent is something i have never smelled before.

I have been LUSTING over this perfume ever since I tried it. I'm an oud beginner, I want to love it, but most of them are waaay too strong and in your face for me. This is the most perfect, clean, understated, and addictive rendition of oud I have ever smelled. My favorite of the collection, followed by jasmine musc and then santal musc. Perfectly unisex. I can't justify the price but I'll probably purchase a decant and treasure it forever. I can't wait to wear it this winter with an all black outfit minimal jewelry and long wool coat.

Oud with nutty nuances, rich and strong but not too dark. Smells exactly how elegant, smooth and sensual fragrance demands to be balanced. The perfume doesn't suppress skin aroma but develops it in spicy, woody chord. The flowers are quite neutral, just a pleasant touch. I can imagine wearing Pure Musc during the day and then, be sensual and fatal with Oud Musc at night. :-) What a charming, graceful scent! --- Projection is strong, longevity more then 6 hrs.

What a beautiful parfum soft and feminine , underneath the oud there's a beautiful smelling parfum so nice.. here's to holidays..

On my most wanted list for the holiday season.. can't wait to add this to my collection..

In my opinion, oud musc from Narciso Rodriguez would be perfect for oud beginners or even people frightened by the « real oud’s » strength». This one is sweet, powdery and how its name says: musky. If it could exist a fabric softener based on oud scent (as you can currently find monoï, orchidee, vanilla, patchouli scent) i think it could smell like this : clean, soft, innocent. The lasting power is good though. I can’t figure out the projection. I’m a little disappointed by its lack of personality and this add to my frustration about the price range. I’m bored of all this generic ouds in golden bottles that seems to justify twice the price as the white/black bottles.

Although the oud in this fragrance is nothing compared to ouds from niche Dubai fragrances, it's not bad for a Western Oud (Cartier's Oud and Sandalwood remains the most memorable Western Oud I've sampled). The DNA is not unique or memorable- agarwood and musk with some black pepper- however it is yummy and nose-catching. That's all.

First impression: not for me I think. It's unfortunate that I am someone who gets the pickle scent from many synthetic sandalwood renditions, and this seems to have *just* enough of whatever that molecule is to be distractingly noticeable to my nose, particularly as it seems to waft further than other components of the scent. Unfortunately it also seems to share some notes with a sunscreen I wear, which is a strange association. The oud is present, but there's a fair bit going on over the top of it. I'll let it dry down and see if I start to like it better, and if the oud becomes a bit more prominent.

I found Ambre Musc from this house was feminine leaning (but still oud heavy) and this one is like the masculine version of that. Primarily oud and musk. Not much sweetness, just a slightly spicy oud on a bed of musk with a slight floral tint. Not my cup of tea but if you want a masculine oud-heavy musk this will please you.

Nope, do not like this. I stumbled upon it for dirt cheap and it is still not a good value for money. Smells like a grandmother.

If Narciso Rodriguez were to be tasked with redoing Tom Ford’s Oud Wood, with a distant touch of Tauer's L'Air du Desert Marocain, and making it his own - Oud Musc would be the scent I imagine: cool and bright (the myrtle), aromatic, oud for the western taste, dry, resinous type of sweetness, with some musky softness added to it to transition it into the truly unisex territory, so that it doesn’t ooze solely "groomed gentlemen club" sophistication as Oud Wood, but also invites true ladies with true presence to the club. The ladies who like the “white” aspect of white flowers, but none of their screechy tones. The coolness here reminds me a little of Marc Jacobs Decadence - its aura, which sets a bit of a status boundary, making it office appropriate if you are in a role that suggests making decisions, statements and doesn’t welcome either random fraternizing attempts or patronizing. This is a clean scent and myrtle eventually becomes the note that the rest of the fragrance notes start dancing around, so don’t let the opening deceive you to expect differently. In the drydown, strangely, I also feel some elements of two cold weather perfumes Tauer's L'Air du Desert Marocain (which is thicker and smokier, also harder to wear) and MFK Grand Soir (it's even warmer, sweeter and more seductive) and NR Oud Musc manages to hint in their direction, carefully, so that it keeps cool and dry and suitable for day wear. If you are a fan of those two perfumes, Oud Musc might underwhelm you if you expect it to hit you harder. But you will appreciate it if they are too much. Western Bright Oud is my shorthand description of the scent. White is the color that comes to mind, maybe sprinkled with some gold flakes. Meryl Streep in a white office shirt or white shift dress in Devil Wears Prada is who I picture smelling like that (whenever her pretentious persona doesn’t want to portray being pretentious but casually elegant), while I personally would also wear this perfume with an expensive white T-shirt and designer jeans and high heels (should I want to also do my hair and wear makeup and add more jewelry). It’s not a ballroom perfume, but it’s a different classy clean statement scent, regardless if you want to dress it up or down -- you should mind this when reaching for it. I feel its coolness (there’s sort of a coldcream vibe to it) makes it appropriate for spring and maybe even summer. In whatever weather you find Decadence or Santal Blanc or Santal 33 suitable - Oud Musc will feel right to wear too. It lasted all day on me, when finally it had already quieted down to something milky+resinous = smooth and soothing, which I do want to smell on me at evening time, nicely blended with my own skin.

I find Oud to be overpowering at times, and wasn’t too keen on getting this although I love Amber Musc. In an attempt to complete my collection of the oriental muscs, I finally caved. First spray was full on Oud. I didn’t get any musk or flowers. After about 30 mins, it mellowed and I feel the musk peeking through. The Oud had settled into a comforting, dry woodiness, almost reminiscent of the driftwood in Amouage Beach Hut, but a bit richer. It became cozy and enveloping, with the fuzziness of musk. This does not feel like a social scent, but rather something I would wear when I want to be alone and contemplative.

This one is A crazy BEAST. Tiniest spray project very strong fragrance. I wash and scrub my wrist where I spray this baby,and the scent stay on my skin as if it's infused into my body lol .🤣 I can't smell any floral note ,it smells like nice incense .I can tell the oud is very high quality one. Bottle is gorgeous My husband said it smells like what rich people would wear 😂

Hate to say this, but when I spray this, all I get is the smell of sweaty genitals. This lasts for about five hours and while I tried to rub it off my skin, it wouldn't come off. After that, the scent mellows with the florals coming through, and it's quite a pleasant frag, but is it worth it considering what preceded? I think not.

Please can someone possibly send me a sample or give me one that is still sold in stores to test out. I smelled this in someone like 2 years ago and I’ve been contemplating buying it. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Green pepper musk herbs.. I don't get any oud in here rather than spicy herbs with black pepper. Meh.
